Many altar calls have opened to this passage of scripture. Stating that Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart... will you let Him in? Because of this many Believers have said, Jesus has knocked on the door of my heart and I let Him in. But, is this what scripture is revealing to us concerning Revelation 3:20?
1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Wisdom is the first thing, yet we tend to reach the point of wisdom and stop. We do this because of the hard road and grueling process it takes to reach wisdom. It is through the words of Solomon that realize that wisdom is the origin of everything and all things to come.
Jeremiah 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
It is true that God knows our hearts, but the belief many have concerning the heart is a spiritual fallacy. God knowing our hearts is not the good news we thought it was.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What is the Lord trying to reveal to the Church? The answer is found in this teaching.
Luk 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Upon taking the time to consider the text, it becomes apparent that our Lord regularly attended service at the synagogue. The text states, "as His custom was,"which in modern terms would read, as was His usual. What is the Lord teaching todays Church?
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Who does The Lord Jesus present as the two Masters on Earth? The surprise is that its not God and the devil!
