The Seahawks have a disappointing showing that really set back their year. The DEF cannot stop anyone on the ground and it was the first time since Week 3 that we've seen Geno look lost on the offense. With their playoff future still in doubt, they have one of their biggest games of the season on a short rest for Thursday Night Football. The Seahawks bounce back and Geno proves the doubters wrong for a week as he led the team to a come-back-win that the DEF was able to hold. It wasn't the "best" version of the Rams but a win is a win. The Run DEF continues to drive the fans crazy as the Rams looked like they were able to do anything they wanted on the ground but the Pass Rush and Secondary showed some flashes. Tariq Woolen keeps getting tested but came out ahead with his league leading 6th INT. The team tries to take advantage these final five weeks as they fight for the NFC West. The Seahawks are back in action and hope to rebound after their 2-game lead in the NFC West has dropped to zero after losing back-to-back games. The OFF was able to put up points but not at critical times and the DEF wasn't able to stop anyone. Attention on our run game, DEF and Geno's ability to close a game have all come into question as they prepare for the defending Superbowl Los Angeles Rams who are closing into a first-to-worst season. The NFC West leading Seattle Seahawks swept their division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals in dominating fashion. Rather than salt the clock away they just efficiently moved down the field to close out the game. The Seahawks now face the sub-500 NFC South leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers who look to build off of a climatic win over the Rams but not all division leaders look the same. While the Bucs have the GOAT in Tom Brady, the Seahawks have Geno who has surprised all expectations and has become the face of the team. The Seahawks complete their 2022 draft and come away with nine players and double-dipped at OT, CB, EDGE and WR. They shocked many by taking the #1 rated RB with their 3rd pick that has many people questioning why it wasn't a QB. This draft was filled with a lot of draft-day trades that many assumed would be the Seahawks either trading away picks or moving back. The Seahawks only ended up making one trade to go back and pick up an additional pick. Thoughts on this draft are all over the spectrum as some have this as an A-grade and some failing the Seahawks. The first half of the offseason comes to an end with the Seahawks with a ton of guys re-signed but also some key players signed elsewhere. For the first time in 10 years, we are going to see the Seahawks address the void left by Russ and Bobby and that may come in the second half of the offseason or potentially in the Draft. The Seahawks see the end of an era as QB Russell Wilson has been traded to the Denver Broncos and MLB Bobby Wagner has been released as a cap saving move. Seahawks receive two first-round picks (2022 #9 overall & 2023 1st), two second-round picks (2022 #40 overall and 2023 2nd), 2022 5th round pick, TE Noah Fant (former 2019 1st round pick 20th overall), DL Shelby Harris, and QB Drew Lock (former 2019 2nd round pick 42nd overall) for QB Russell Wilson and 2022 4th round pick. The trade won't be official until the league year starts mid-March but cutting Bobby goes into effect immediately and saves the Seahawks about $16.5m in cap space; the Seahawks now have about $51m in cap space (2nd most in the NFL). The Seahawks won back-to-back games for the only time in the 2021 season and they did it in very strong vashion. The OFF/DEF/SPEC Teams all looked solid as they went to town against the 32nd ranked OFF/DEF and a lot of the credit goes to the OL and Penny. The team now moves to the next game as they need to win the final 4 games to end with a plus-.500 record as they take on the Los Angeles Rams. They just defeated the division leading Cardinals but have been hit with confirmed Covid case after case. Sixteen players have been placed on the covid list for the Rams; zero on the Seahawks. The 2021 NFL Draft is here and while the Seahawks will have to wait an agonizing 55 picks before they get to pick with the 56th overall pick on Friday we are here for the draft. A great win against a strong DEF helped the Seahawks back into the driver's seat with two games remaining. The Seahawks put together another strong defensive showing and did more than enough to win comfortably on Monday Night Football. It's finally here, the first Virtual NFL Draft will be held Thursday. Rumors have been swirling around for weeks and final roster changes are being made. The Seahawks have officially clinched a playoff spot and could theoretically have the #1, #2, #3, #5 or #6 playoff spot with two games left. The rollercoaster 2017 season continues; after their most complete game of the year against the "best" team in the NFL, the Seahawks shoot themselves in the foot on their way to a tough 30-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wilson sets an NFL record with this 16th & 17th fourth-quarter TD but it goes all for naught as a missed call and failed execution give the ball back to the Jags to end the game. Seahawks lose their LB pair and then a fight ensues with multiple flags on the players and coaches. Now it's back to CenturyLink to rebound and face the Los Angeles Rams for 1st place in the NFC West.

Seahawks return to Sunday Night Football taking on the #1 team in the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Seahawks open the betting line as a home-dog for the first time in 5 years (last game was against the Patriots in 2012). The Seahawks didn't give up a sack offensively due to Russell Wilson's escapeability but also the OL was credited with "solid" protection. Kam Chancellor was officially put on IR but reports are that he's still interested in coming back next year. Seattle starts a 5-game stretch where they face 4 quality opponents.

Roster moves all week long (Sherm & Prosise to IR), Maxie back and Davis promoted, then a lot of moves on the Practice Squad. Seahawks move to 6-3 but face an up-hill battle for the NFC West and top-seeding in the NFC. Every Seahawks bemoaned the short rest between playing at home Sunday to an away Thursday Night Game. They do get extended rest with the next game being Monday Night Football against the 5-4 Atlanta Falcons. Bennett (and the DLine) stand during the anthem to show support for the Veteran's over the weekend to help people understand that their protest is not about the military. Jerry Jones wants to sue the NFL and his RB has accepted his suspension.

Seahawks win a thriller at home against a young and explosive Houston Texans team. Not only did the Texans face a daunting tasking of coming to Seattle but their owner's feelings were released days before the game that basically doesn't want the players running the league (he later clarified that he meant the league office attempting to run the league). Seahawks won for only the 2nd time under Pete Carroll where the Defense gave up more than 30+ points.
