We grew up together at a mega-church in Orlando, Florida, and in this episode we spend a little time reminiscing about our experience as PKs and how that has impacted us in full-time vocational ministry, plus a little unsolicited parenting advice for pastors of PKs from the perspective of the PK!
Keith Hileman, Senior Pastor at Trinity Fellowship Church, talks to us about wrestling with theological issues, particularly surrounding culturally divisive issues, with a spirit of reconciliation.
Today we talk to Adam Moffitt about what it's like to be on staff at a church and some commonly held misconceptions. Adam offers some brilliant nuggets of wisdom and not-so-gentle reminders to remember who we are all truly fighting against. Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. I called Todd my resident exhorter (yes, that's a made-up term!) as we talked about how best to encourage a pastor. Perhaps the best thing we can communicate to any pastor is this: I care.
