Before taking office as Attorney General, Marshall was the District Attorney for Marshall County, a post he held for sixteen years. As District Attorney, Marshall helped draft and pass the Brody Act—a law that makes it a crime to kill or injure an unborn child. Marshall later became the first prosecutor to secure a death sentence under the Brody Act (in a case where a man murdered his pregnant wife and was charged with the homicide of both her and her unborn child). Five years later, when this landmark case was on appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court, Marshall, now Attorney General, had the privilege of successfully defending that conviction.

Eagle Forum Book: Sex, Lies, and Children
Originally aired on The Mike Essen Show, 2/17/23
The LGBTQ community is coming on strong in America, pushing harder and harder for more and more influence and power -- even to the point of crippling, crumbling and destroying religious liberties. The U.S. Supreme Court case is being forced, once again, to decide a case of creative independence; that is, members of the LBGTQ community are demanding a Christian web designer create a site for same-sex partnerships that violates her religious beliefs. She said no, the state courts said she had to, so here comes the SCOTUS to weigh in and decide. Didn't we already do this with a Christian cake baker? But this is how the left operates: try and try and try again, never quit and never abandon the quest, no matter what courts, cops, the Constitution and good old fashioned morality say. Democrats in Congress, meanwhile, are busily pushing a bill to make gay marriage a law. But here's the danger for America: God cannot bless a nation that openly, brashly violates biblical law and that openly, brashly accepts sin as normal. God will not be mocked. Eagle Forum president Kris Ullman discusses.

TAKE ACTION
The Senate is poised to vote THIS WEEK on a bill that would strip away our religious freedoms. The House-passed Respect for Marriage Act (H.R. 8404/S. 4556) fully repeals the Clinton-era Defense of Marriage Act which protected states’ rights to maintain the definition of traditional marriage. While the wrongly decided Obergefell v. Hodges ruling forced states to uphold same-sex marriage, the holding at least recognized the rights of religious objectors. This bill – a blatant political maneuver - would create an open assault on individuals who believe in traditional marriage.

Anne Schlafly Cori, Chair of the Eagle Forum on the FX miniseries "Mrs America" and the portrayal of her mother, Phyllis Schlafly.
ANNE SCHLAFLY CORI, daughter of the late conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly discusses the new F/X-HULU miniseries based on Phyllis, MRS. AMERICA, and what it gets wrong about her mother's life and career.
Watch the YouTube video here.
In the 1970's the Equal Rights Amendment was on its way to swift ratification, when a woman named Phyllis Schlafly launched a grassroots effort to torpedo the amendment by showing women why they didn't want it.
Wednesday night, F/X and Hulu are teaming up to present "Mrs. America," a multi-part examination of the battle over the Equal Rights Amendment in the 1970's and 1980's. Unsurprisingly, the Hollywood story line is that the amendment was a good thing and Mrs. Schlafly was wrong to oppose it.
According to Schlafly's daughter Anne Schlafly Cori, "Mrs. America" gets her mother's hair and wardrobe exactly right but fails to capture her warmth and ability to inspire thousands of women. It also badly mischaracterizes the Schlafly marriage.
In this podcast, Schlafly Cori explains why her mother jumped in to lead the fight against the ERA, what she thinks of efforts by Democrats to claim they've ratified the amendment long after the window of opportunity expired, and why she thinks the resurgence is all about abortion.
From: Radio America News
For Anne Schlafly Cori, Phyllis Schlafly isn’t just the grassroots warrior who stopped the Equal Rights Amendment. She was also “Mom.” Anne was one of six Schlafly kids growing up in Alton, Illinois, even while their mother became a national political force.
Today, the St. Louis-based Cori is chairman of the organization her mother founded, the Eagle Forum. She’s speaking out about “Mrs. America,” the new FX on Hulu series that debuts April 15, telling the story of Schlafly’s fight against the ERA.
Cori said Thursday on St. Louis on the Air that the filmmakers did not respond to her attempts to reach out. She has been unable to see the series, and is anxiously awaiting its premiere. But she worries it fails to portray the mother she knew.
The real Phyllis Schlafly, she said, was not a monster.
“The caricature I’m worried they are pushing is that she was mean, or cold,” Cori said. “And that she was not. She mentored so many women. … The loyalty that not only the people who worked for my mother, but who volunteered for my mother, those women are so loyal today to the work that she did. And they’re loyal because Phyllis Schlafly had integrity.”

Anne Schlafly Cori, the daughter of conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly, joins Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky to discuss Hulu’s forthcoming series “Mrs. America” and the fight against the Equal Rights Amendment.
Schlafly Cori points out that Hollywood is usually unkind to conservatives, and the newest Hulu series, “Mrs. America,” appears to be no different. According to Hulu, it is the true story of the feminist movements efforts to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, and the unexpected backlash led by conservative Phyllis Schlafly.
