Islands FM's story www.islandsfm.org On 107.9 FM, we are the community local radio station for the Isles of Scilly. We're proud to be a part of the community we serve and aim to inform and entertain.
The station has gone through a rocky period over the last few years. The current directors joined in 2019 and are working hard to address some of the technical problems that have cropped up in the last couple of years. The station had also begun to sound a bit tired and lacklustre.
It was decided that a re-brand would be a pivotal part of changing the perception of the station, along with several other changes. From the 31st January 2020, as well as a new station name, we have a new website, new jingles and have also welcomed some of the earlier Radio Scilly presenters back to the on-air team, so you'll be re-acquainted with old friends along with some new voices. We are still broadcasting from the same studio at Porthmellon, and continue to be licenced and regulated by Ofcom, the UK Government's communications regulatory body.
Our presenters are all volunteers, generously giving their time to bring some unique programmes. With their enthusiasm, we hope to discuss stimulating topics, keep you informed on local matters, and provide a platform for the musicians, artists, writers and creatives who share the same love of these beautiful, unique Islands.

Criminally Unknown and multi talented Today Tim is first a foremost a DJ who loves music and moving the dance floor. But as the world changes so does Tim - In his own words.... “I’m a product person, and not just music, I love promoting nights and events as it gives me more freedom than working for others, I have a number of irons in the fire and they are all red hot!" Tim's DJing career began from humble beginnings in the underground dance clubs of Brighton on the UK's South Coast. Where, working for the fun of it and drinks, Tim DJ'd warm up slots and shared the decks with some of dance-music’s most treasured DJs, including Fat Boy Slim and John Digweed.

This amazing party and the volunteers who host it remains one of the highlights of my career. Here is a live recording of the final hour and a half of the set, as it is a live set the sound quality may be not up to the usual standard. I hope it captures just a small amount of the fantastic energy of that party. As a DJ it is always interesting to hear your sets after the event, one becomes very critical listening to every mix, hearing every off beat and wondering "should I have put that song there!" I just hope some of the fantastic energy comes over in this recording - it is a truly amazing event, fight for a ticket next year!

40 Years since the Stonewall Riots – 30 Years to commemorate our pioneer of Gay civil rights Harvey Milk and 5 Years of London’s favourite bar and venue Eagle London! Milk in the Park will be great big musical disco party in the heart of The Vauxhall Gay Village in Lambeth, London on Saturday August 15th
Eagle London has been at the centre of an ongoing campaign with The Metropolitan Police LGBT Hate Crime Forum to make our area safer and stamp out the ongoing menace of Hate Crimes which affect so many of our community. With positive actions and targeted campaigns we have managed to dramatically reduce these incidents and create a safe environment for us to live and work.
Earlier this year as part of our Hate Crime Initiatives for 2009 and in association with the legendary Horse Meat Disco we screened the Life & times of Harvey Milk (the award winning documentary). After the screening we then celebrated with a special Horse Meat party which gave us the inspiration to offer an even bigger celebration for many more to enjoy, this led to the creation of Milk in the Park 2009!
