When entering a relationship, it is important to understand the difference between love and lust as well as the importance of setting boundaries for ourselves to keep us from the temptation of giving into lustful thoughts or visuals.
Promising to do something is not the same as preparing to do something. People think they can promise their way past the lack of preparation when it comes to relationships. This week however, we learn that we must hold ourselves accountable and do the hard work before we enter into a relationship, that way we can have the most fruitful relationship and marriage.
This week we looked at the godly principles of dating and marriage. We must understand the importance of having our relationship with God at the center of our relationship.

In this series we are truthfully and lovingly journeying through some polarizing topics and todays sermon is no different. In this series we explore the purpose and compelling biblical arguments for natural marriage. The only way to know what we should and shouldn't do with marriage, like whether to expand it to include same-sex couples or restrict it, is to first answer the question, "What is marriage for?"
Do you think you have a healthy model for marriage and sexuality? This is such an important question to ask, especially in today's society. We are constantly surrounded by bad examples of what these things are with divorce rates rising higher and the idea that love is love. The reality is that the Bible defines love and relationships very clearly and if we want to look to a good model of love and relationships, we must start there.
