Muslim Organizations are usually all over the place... Youth program here, a Qiyam program there, a family event next week, a conference next month, an interfaith event the month after that, a Dawah Table, Feed the homeless...the list goes on and on and on!
When we ask leaders from an organization what their mission and vision is, we get 10 different answers from 10 different people even though they are ALL part of the same team.
Or when we ask them, "Who is your audience? Who is it that your organization serves?" Again, we get different answers from different people.
Someone says, "It’s Muslims in the community." (which is way too vague by the way), another will say "It’s the youth!", someone else will say "It’s the paid members.", while others say "It’s the Bengalis (or another ethnicity) in the community!"
And so on..
If this describes you or your organization, you’re not alone. 100’s of Muslim organizations go through the same challenge.
This is where Strategic Planning Comes in. In this episode of the Oaktree Institute Podcast, we interview Tarek Mourad who conducts Oaktree’s Strategic Planning Workshop.
