Ever wonder How long it will be until we have a Billion Dollar Residential Roofing Company?
This is something that has been on my mind for some time now.
If you want to do the math on how to get there it is pretty simple. 10 markets, 5000 customers per market, and $20,000 average ticket.
There is a good chance that SIRC, Apple Roofing, Monarch Roofing, Roofing.com, Roofers LLC, Modern Roofer and many others are on their way there.
But what does that look like? As we have been working on the RoofingBusinessPartner.com website rebrand, I basically shut down a team of 4 people and said I needed to record a podcast episode and everyone had to be quiet. This has been something I have been contemplating deeply for about a year now. Watching everything that is going on in the industry; seeing all the crazy flow of capital into the industry. Looking at trends in Tech and the money going to the roofing software side.
I was going to wait until the Roofing PROcess Conference on december 2nd to talk about this, but then I Got cold feet and thought.... I need more data. So for those of you that listen to this I was hoping you could give me your thoughts on the subject I discuss today. Am I a tin hat wearing fool? Have I stumbled across something that the industry is too busy roofing to see?
Feel free to reach out to me any way if you have thoughts, feedback, or insights! Anonymous or on the record. I don't care!

In this episode I explain how I use FREE 2019 techniques to ACTUALLY achieve 1st page ranks ON GOOGLE.. Why NOBODY DOES IT... (it’s a grind) + how you can do it for NEARLY FREE. Google ranks sites way differently than it did 5 years ago. Most agencies doing SEO for roofers treat it like a “value add-on” rather than a strategic power play. 😒 this is just ONE of the points I’ll be making on stage at RoofConference.com !

I saw a “Roofer Lead Gen” guru in the Private click funnels group talking smack about roofers. THAT I WONT STAND FOR! Plus I’m having past students Beta Test my new FB Ad course. Some aren’t taking action yet and so I read you the email I sent them.... my opinion on the Guru of 3 months that says roofers are stupid... and what you need to do BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE... to be successful in advertising your roofing company in a new way!

When looking for a great place to market your roofing business. Don’t worry as much about if YOU use the platform. Think about LinkedIn as a gathering place of above average income earners who value social and value and respect 21st century businesses. Be THE roofing company that embraces this technology and WIN! The fact that CPM’s are underpriced and they JUST released the video view objective is your trigger to get into the platform. This was Facebook for me 6 years ago!

The 2018 Expos are coming up! I’ll be at the show in New Orleans from January 22nd to January 24th, and I’ll be there teaching classes on the Power of the Facebook Pixel on the 22nd and the 23rd. In this episode, I’ll talk about how you can improve your networking skills and rock the Roofing expos this year. If you go into it with the right attitude, you can come away with some contacts or information that can help you improve your reputation, your website, or your business overall. But in order to do that, you have to go into with intention, knowing what it is that you want to achieve. Some highlights of today’s episode include:
You never know who you’re going to meet that might be helpful, so don’t make snap judgements or be dismissive Why you shouldn’t try to rush through and meet everyone in the room How to pick which sessions to attend by reading bios instead of session descriptions Why you should introduce yourself to the moderators Why you should focus less on making a good impression and more on not making a bad impression Why you should aim to always be trying to learn instead of trying to impress How to add value to your interactions with other people at the expo Why you should focus on the up-and-comers, rather than the established big names The importance of following up after the event How to use social media in your networking

There are plenty of people out there who can teach you how to design a website. But as important as thing like search engine optimization and mobile responsiveness are, before you worry about those, you need to think about why you do what you do.
You want a website that inspires customers to want you, specifically, to do their roof, not just to want a roof done and be willing to hire you to do it.
Some highlights of today’s episode include: * The importance of including content that non-roofers can understand * The basics of choosing a theme and designing a site * The importance of a guaranteed response time * Why you should teach first and sell second * How you can do SEO (search engine optimization) by accident * Why you should invest in graphics and videos for your website

Are you considering using lead generation services to gain more customers, but you’re wondering whether those services are ultimately a waste of money? Well, lead generation services might be a waste of money, but if you don’t know how to generate leads yourself for a reasonable price, then you need a lead generation service to do the job for you.
If you need to use lead generation services, your best bet is to have a plan in place to use them only for a short period of time, until you can cut out the middleman and start generating your own leads. In this episode, you’ll hear some tips that will help you make that plan.
Highlights of today’s episode include: * The difference between a lead and a customer * The importance of fast and frequent follow-ups * How an in-person episode can convert a lead into a customer * Why you should focus on building a long-term relationship with your clients * How to find the most results with the least effort.
