Jesus is teaching us to fight off entitlement and expectation, and we fight it off by asking God to provide our bread for today, even though we know he will already provide it.
Brennon highlights two risks when we approach God in prayer, to get to this petition too early, consumed with worry for physical needs. Or coming to this request too late, having forgotten we are dependant on God for everything we have.
