There is an urgent need to assure that the 3 million orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda have access to a safe home, nutritious meals, schooling, and stable communities. Study after study demonstrates that these factors are crucial to a child's ability to thrive, and we know that helping a child flourish doesn't end with a successful guardian placement, but also depends on the stability of the community at large.
LAHU-USA is committed to facilitating empowering, sustainable change in both urban and rural Uganda. We strive to give community members the tools, training, and support to maintain and grow each project, and believe that this holistic approach fosters permanent change that will improve lives. This is why LAHU sponsors animal husbandry, mushroom, bricklaying and horticultural projects, as well as guardian, education, and health and nutrition programs. With your help we can improve the lives of millions of Ugandan children and their communities!

Keri D. Singleton has worn more than a few hats in two decades of working in and around the music industry. Radio intern, artist management, promotions assistant at Power 105 Radio in New York City, and promotions/marketing representative at several record labels and clothing lines are only a few of the titles he has held since the early 1990’s. His relentless pursuit to carve a niche in the entertainment industry has afforded him opportunities to meet legendary music icons as well as an education in the music/fashion business that no book could offer.
Singleton, who was born and raised in the Roxbury section of Boston (home of the R&B group New Edition and rap artist ED OG), had early aspirations to follow the footsteps of his music industry idol Russell Simmons. He networked with New York and Philadelphia-based promoters and artists and quickly developed working relationships with influential people across the Northeast. In 1995, while still living in Boston, he was invited to speak on a marketing panel at the Jack The Rapper Music Conference in Atlanta. The following year, Keri D. Singleton spoke at the annual Philadelphia Music Conference and was invited to sit on a panel at that conference in 1997 as well. Mr. Singleton was awarded a gold and platinum plaque for his work on reggae artist Shaggy’s Boombastic album and single in 1997 and went on to speak at Boston’s Can We Talk music seminar. Additionally, he was an awards presenter at the Boston Caribbean Music Awards that year, which followed his move to New York City where he resides today. In 2011, Keri D. Singleton was also an awards presenter at the New England Urban Music Awards and a panelist at the Can We Talk 2 U Again Music Conference, both in Boston. --->> tune in to learn more abot Keri or visit http://keridsingleton.com/about/

The Ladies of SKYY, Denise, Dolores and Bonné Dunning, are the original female vocalists of the hit R&B/funk group SKYY. Their musical career spans more than 30 years. With their thirteen year association with SKYY and the subsequent remakes, remixes and samples of their music, the Dunning sisters stand in their rightful place as the founding females of funk, R&B, dance, club and hip-hop music.
The Sisters are natives of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. Their interest in singing flourished while attending Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School. As teenagers, they always sang in front of the mirror with their hair brushes as microphones, dreaming of becoming professionals like Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and, of course, the Supremes. Their vocal and performance style, however, was patterned after their love for the male vocalist groups of the 60’s and 70’s because of their tight harmonies and smooth routines. They made their first stage appearance in the high school talent show in 1968 under the name “The Sounds of Soul.”
In 1973 they met Randy Muller who was selected as the musical director for the Miss Black America New York State Pageant. They were the babysitters for the pageant director, and he encouraged them to sing at the pageant. Randy’s group, Brass Construction served as the band for the pageant. When told by the pageant director that he had “some girls who were going to sing,” Randy was skeptical about their talent…that is, until the girls sang “Old Man River,” acapella, Temptations-style, and Randy was completely blown away by their expert execution. Born in Merced, California Scanlouz Deleon was raised by his mother, who has a love for music, and his grandmother, who fed his spirituality through attending church and joining the choir. Being the second of three, Deleon learned at a young age to make his presence known. Acting in plays and studying his mother’s natural talent to replicate anything on a beat gave Scanlouz the groundwork for his musical career. Scanlouz grew up in a small town in Central California where the sun does not shine quite as bright. The Northside of Merced is where Deleon learned some of life’s greatest and hardest lessons. Although Deleon enjoyed hanging out with friends, menacing the neighborhood, he always stayed true for his love of music. At a very young age he was exposed to musical geniuses such as The Stylistics and Tupac Shakur. As he got older he began studying and gaining inspirations from Snoop Dogg, Nas, DMX, Fabolous, Scarface, Outcast; true Hip Hop legends. One day while hanging out his two favorite pastimes collided. “My friend named Service started rapping over a song playing over the radio and that's where I was introduced to rapping…my first cypher”. That same year Scanlouz purchased a karaoke machine and he and his friends held cypher after cypher until he was called inside. It was to Nelly’s “Hot in Here” that Deleon wrote his first official verse. “After that, it was a wrap…I wouldn’t stop and couldn’t stop writing and rapping”. Scanlouz’s mother made a life changing decision to move to Sacramento, California. It proved to be a successful choice because it allowed Deleon to stay out of trouble and focused on his music.

If you’re in a relationship with someone struggling with emotional detachment you’ve probably noticed that it’s during conflict that he’s most likely to shut down, to distance himself emotionally from what’s going on, to stop taking much of an active part in the discussion. As we’ve written elsewhere detached personality can affect both males and females but it’s more common with males so we’ll use masculine pronouns here.
The psychology that’s essential for you to grasp is that appearances are deceptive. While on the surface he’s calm and composed, while he probably doesn’t do much yelling or even look all that upset, internally alarm bells are sounding and the house is on fire. However unjust it may be, to him your conflict situation is reminiscent of the original threatening, hostile conflict situation in his family of origin, the situation that prompted his psychological solution of emotional detachment in the first place.
Mastery of recording is what fuels Here We Izzz Entertainment’s Craig Blackwell and Shelvon Turner AKA Craig and Shev. The duo is continuing on their torrid pace of releases following their EP “Power Moves”, with their new single, “Steady Hating” Ft. Cassidy and T-Rell.
Hailing from Stubenville, Ohio, Craig and Shev employed Cassidy and T-Rell to create this
smooth anthem but did not omit the crafty word-play to stay true to their love of classic hip hop.
Their grind and work ethic is what separates them from other rappers in the game.
They traveled to New York City to provide the backdrop for the video. Craig and Shev released
Power Moves which, gained attention from reputable websites and blogs after the release of
their video “I Don’t Know About That”. Appearing on Worldstar, Thisis50 and more, led them to
doing a Southern College Tour with Yo-Gotti. Craig and Shev brings that Midwest swing with
true to form lyrics to creating a much needed refreshing sound for music lovers.

“When you can no longer find the music you like, make your own.”
That is what Guy Williams ( December 25th 1978), poet from Detroit Michigan and German based producer extraordinaire “Charles” S. Kuzmanovic ( September 11th 1973) decided to do. Both men were sick of the same old thing, heavy bass with nonsense lyrics, finding they were just “too old” to relate. TBG have this one thing on their mind: “smart” music that still “sounds cool”.
They both met in 2006 on Myspace, yes – they have never met in person – and decided to start working together. Within 7 months, they produced an album: Project Radar – Chips in the Surface. Then, they decided to focus on their own projects.
In July 2016, they formed The Bilderberg Group. Within 1.5 years, they managed to record 43 tracks. (39 original tracks, 4 cover versions).

A soul mates a ton of definitions, but basically, they are someone who feels somehow cut from the same cloth as you. You might feel as if they were sent to awaken and challenge you to become a more awakened version of yourself.
It’s widely believed that a person can have more than one soul mate. They can take the form of friends, lovers, even family members. The energetic connection between your soul mate is somehow more powerfully felt than with others.
Soulmates are an important part of our journey to self-actualization, to becoming our most genuine self. They’re also an important milestone in the process of meeting the person who Spiritualists call our “Twin Flame.”

Five-inch heels, fuchsia bikes, the occasional pink-mohawked helmet: New Orleans's first all-female motorcycle club, Caramel Curves, isn't your typical biker gang. Founded in 2005 by the eponymous Caramel, the group was originally intended as a counterpart to a male biker crew. After Hurricane Katrina devastated the entire city and disbanded the club, however, its future was uncertain--until Caramel decided to bring the Curves back together again, this time as a club all their own. Today, they've created a community that encourages confidence, camaraderie, popping wheelies, and getting very creative when painting your preferred mode of transportation. The only rules: You have to be a woman and own a motorcycle to join. In our first episode of Girl Gangs, Broadly meets the members of this all-female collective and follows the pack as they ride the streets of the Big Easy.
In persuasion, your message has to focus on emotions, all the while maintaining a balance between logic and feelings. Logic and emotion are the two elements that make for perfect persuasion. We can be persuasive using only logic or only emotion, but the effect will be short-term and unbalanced. Tune in to our new segment by dialing in 818-495-6975 LIVE!
In the Beginning:
Mokenstef came together in 1990. Kenya and Stef, cheerleaders at Inglewood's Morningside high, were looking for a third member for a hip-hop dance crew. Hollywood High student, Mo auditioned and demolished the competition.
They started dancing for various hip hop acts on stage and in videos, most notably for rapper AMG ( Bitch Betta have my money), And Big Daddy Kane(This is for the lover in you) Looking to become more then just hard bodies in the background, they started developing their respective vocal talents. They hooked up with a local production company, which didn't go very far, and signed a contract with a shady management company went absolutely no where. But they stuck with it, working on their music careers between college classes and normal 9-5 jobs.
"We were struggling. We didn't have a manager. We were our own self-support group, "says Stef resolutely.
Their break came when they dropped in on AMG one afternoon at the office of "Greedy Greg" Jesse and Anthony "Anti" Lewis, owners of Outburst Records (Domino). The owners were listening in on AMG and some local artists clowning around, tossing out rhymes . Mo chimed in with a few notes, and Suddenly she and her two partners had a captive audience with their rhyming and singing. Soon after, Mokenstef officially became part of the Outburst, Island, and Def Jam family and started work on the album.

Taka Black was born to Ansel Wright Jr. and Tonya Cheeks on July 9, 19xx. Wright was born into a poor family and was raised by his stepmother and father until the age of four when they separated. At that time he began to exhibit an innate talent for music- singing and dancing to young Michael jackson records and routines. At the age of 11 he was sent to live with a foster parent which moved him to the upper east side, also known as the Glenville area of Cleveland. It was here that he would begin to understand rap culture, street culture, and learn valuable lessons in his life. At 13, Taka was returned back to his father and by 15 he took to recording screw songs on a vintage Dell computer at a friend's place. He would take these mixes to a local underground rap haven called "Sly Airbrush & Design" where the owner, named Sly, would hear them. Sly was an airbrush artist as well as a stylist to some of urban entertainment's biggest names at the time including Paul Wall, Bone Thugs, Bun B, Jadakiss, and more.
Around this time, Wright was attending Cleveland State University and began writing and creating his own style. It wasn't until 2010 he would develop a proper technique and begin to perform under the monicker Taka Black along with his childhood friend Karlzel Hunter (Z The Kid). Later that year they opened for major artist's such as Twista, and soon began to win competitions for their live performances due in part to the high energy of their shows.

Vedo is a 23-year old American singer, songwriter and entertainer most recognized for his stellar performances on season four of NBC’s popular talent competition, The Voice. Born and raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan Vedo began singing at the age of 9 when his mother discovered his vocal ability was above average, impressing anyone that heard his distinct tone, range and perfect pitch. Although his voice was certainly a gift, it was a curse as well, bringing more attention than many of his peers in the form of admiring girls and fast crowds. His childhood wasn’t easy, moving from place to place, homeless more often than not and as a result, Vedo developed a tough attitude that eventually led to trouble in school, fighting and not achieving his true scholastic potential so in 2008, Vedo’s mother decided he needed a change and moving to Atlanta, GA with his father was it. Vedo did not want to leave his mother and friends behind, however, that decision became a blessing in disguise and an integral part of the journey to his dream.
Upon arriving in a new city filled with talent and opportunity, Vedo’s passion for music intensified as well as his focus on academics, becoming an A and B student at Southwest DeKalb High School. He was inspired to delve into his inner songwriter and perfect his vocals; these efforts combined with his natural ability led to Vedo becoming one of the top finalists on The Voice and writing songs for major label recording artists and highly acclaimed music producer Troy Taylor.

Mystic Michaela been able to see colors around people. Along with these colors I would get messages, visions and departed loved ones from the other side trying to channel through me for perfect strangers. As a child I was often confused and anxious by the intense energy from the other side. Not until my early 20s I realized that this was a gift I am able to share with those who seek truth and healing. The colors I am able to see around people are actually Auric projections from their life force energy. Through what I'm able to see within the specific colors, hues and projections I am uniquely adept in perceiving imbalances within the energy system. I do specialize in centering and rebalancing those who wish to live their fullest life. I call this "Spiritual Life Guidance" as within each individual’s reading I am taken through a channeling process where I am guided from spirit guides and from those who have crossed over.
Mediumship and clairvoyance work hand-in-hand with my aura readings for a complete channeling session where I am able to pinpoint present moment happenings while linking them to past patterns in order to create a path where my clients can begin to take the steps in living their destined life. I see that anxiety and unhappiness come from trying to live a life we were not born to live, wearing a mask and being untrue to our Auric colors.
I am currently based in South Florida, but have channeled for clients all over the globe.

Just visit their fast-growing Facebook fan page and see what folks are saying! They bring real talk relationship advice that has people from all over asking, how they know SO MUCH about SO MUCH?
“It’s really quite easy,” Taccara joked. “We are failures but we’re also the testimony. We used our failures to discover who we are, where we went wrong and who we were going to become as a result. Failing is the easy part. It’s taking accountability that is the true test.” The two bring a level of honesty and self-awareness that is RARE in many ministry “brands” today. While the two bring an education in Theology and Christian Counseling, they don’t rest on those accolades to boost their credibility. http://empoweredcouples.org/about-us/

Robby The Elf
Well, it all started back in the day when Santa was visiting a mall in Michigan. The Michigan Mall, I think. You see, back then Santa used to have elves accompany him while traveling. After all, do you really think Santa feeds the reindeer and cleans up after them?
Anyways, I'm Robby The Elf – half elf on my mama's side, Eva Elf. My dad, Bobby Becker, one fly-guy local dude, saw my mom and it was love at first sight – and a little elf magic too! Yeah, Dad thought Mom was the bomb. After Santa left, Mom stayed at a small elf colony called The North Side, located on the north side of the south side of Michigan. My parents fell in love and got married and then I was born. Mom said I was so cute my face belonged on a stamp.
Mom taught me elf folklore and Dad taught me to shoot hoops. I have always enjoyed different genres of music and I even created my own called Christmas Crunk. After saving Christmas one year, Santa wanted to see what impact an elf could have through music. I told him no one would believe me and he said, "You're telling me?!"
Now I'm an elf underground, beating the streets 'cause nobody's gonna give an elf a record deal just because he knows Santa. I've been recording music and living in the upstate of South Carolina for a spell. It's kinda cool and Santa has a house and some family nearby.
I'm here to spread the message about the repression of elves. Just ask Christmas retailers, "Where's the elf stuff?" My goal is to have everyone hear my music so that someday, every child will also leave a cookie for an elf on Christmas Eve.
Robby The Elf, just Google it yo

"The Race is a story of one man’s triumph over sexual abuse and bullying, striving to find his own sexual identity. Growing up in an ultra conservative, religious family, Stephen aimed to pray the gay away before anyone could find out his secret. Stephen’s life became a constant battle, up to the point where he couldn’t hold on any longer. A failed suicide attempt finally put life into perspective, and Stephen came out, not just as a gay man but as a survivor of sexual abuse.
A week in the hospital with too much time to think, resulted in flashbacks that plunged him back into his nightmarish childhood and adolescence. What began as Stephen’s attempt to exorcise his demons, ended up being a story of hope for others who have also suffered sexual abuse.
His message? No matter how much you stumble coming off the starting blocks, you can still win the race."

In January 2015, with less than a month of experience as an artist, in Jan 2015 he went on with the release of his debut mixtape titled “NonFiction”. It acquired over 10,000 streams in the first 48 hours with no prior knowledge in the music field, & NO promotion outside of his Instagram account. His buzz quickly took over Charlotte and surrounding areas rapidly raising awareness to Charlotte’s music scene. He then booked a spontaneous flight to Austin, Texas for “SXSW 2015” a well-known annual music festival for upcoming artists; and also a popular gateway to the music industry.

Excessive Attention Seeking and Drama Addiction -
Some behavioral problems seem to plague compulsive overeaters and substance abusers more than other groups. Excess attention seeking appears to be one of them. All humans require attention. Without getting and giving attention, you could not have a social species. Getting attention is necessary for life’s vital enterprises and can be the difference between life and death in a crisis. Therefore, not getting adequate attention can threaten the quality and sustainability of life. Thus, getting functional social attention is understandable. However, extreme attention seekers go to unhealthy lengths that are driven by emotional desperation.
Excessive attention seeking is not a character flaw. It is a brain wiring response to early developmental trauma caused by neglect. The developing brain observes its environment and wires itself accordingly to survive in that world that it presumes will be like those experiences. Newborns are extremely dependent on getting their mother’s attention for survival. The more their needs are neglected during early development the more the child equates getting attention with survival and safety. In turn, the more he or she develops the belief system that it is necessary to go to whatever lengths to get attention.
Menopause. The word makes women cringe and men run. But why? Just like getting our periods it’s something almost all women will go through. So why is it that we make such a fuss talking to our girls about getting their periods and absolutely nothing about yet another phase they’ll be going through, like it or not?
Ms. P and Dr. Sue are going to be shedding some much needed light on menopause such as: What is menopause exactly? What are the signs and symptoms? What is perimenopause? What are some things you can do now to prepare yourself for this phase of lifeDispelling myths If you are in perimenopause or menopause please call-in with your experience WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Whether you're single, married, or in a relationship, the demands of life and the expectations of those nearest and dearest to your heart can make finding time for yourself a huge challenge. Trust me I know, and the sad things is that when you finally find the time, let's be honest you do zero! Between dedicating time to parents, children, partners, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues, and work, it's hard to even dream of stealing a little time for yourself. We all can use a little more time to decompress. Tonight our focus after last night's election is bringing focus back to SELF.

The Fuller Cut Barber Shop in Ypsilanti, Michiganbelieves in living, working and staying in the community. They gives $2 discounts to kids who read books aloud to their barbers while they’re getting their hair done.
And a lot of the time those two bucks go directly into the kids’ pockets.

Because the shop caters to diverse communities, Griffin’s literary selection — which includes 75 to 100 rotating titles — has a very specific theme.“All our books have positive images of African-Americans — whether it’s astronauts, athletes or writers,” Griffin said. Alicia Ruiz - Demail and I started off as friends in May of 2014 and in October of 2014, he decided we should be in a relationship.. I decided that it was okay to be in a relationship after my previous relationship didn't work out and it had been a year that I had been in a relationship. My previous relationship ended in good terms so I thought I was okay to be in a new relationship. He didn't have much and being the woman that I am, I was there for him through it all. He started changing towards me. His demeanor when I would ask him where he was at when he didn't answer his phone, was different. He started with the verbal abuse even more too. I never thought he would hit me like that but he did.. I didn't report him thinking that I would be more in trouble if I did call the cops, and they didn't take him in, then it would be worst and believe it or not, I still wanted to see if our relationship would still workout, but came to a realization a couple of days ago that this is not what I deserve.

A physical, mental and emotional abuse survivor. I had been in a physically violent relationship for years and never knew that I could even survive or come out of it. I believed in God but my faith wasn’t strong enough to help me come out of the trauma that I was facing, I even tried to end my life a couple of times. But stopping the violence was easy. I just had to say STOP at my loudest voice finally one day and know that I did not deserve it. I finally moved out of that relationship.Fixing myself after moving out of the trauma was not easy either. Finding blame in others and self pity was not helping at all and I spent years blaming God for it. There were many other reasons that I blamed God for, like giving me a brother who is deaf and dumb and I had felt his pain very deeply in my soul during early years of my childhood.
What helped then? What made me so strong? Love and faith restored after a magical moment that happened two years ago. A messenger from God appeared and told me that He loved me. “God loved me,” I had been wanting to know this and hear this for years. I looked at my present moment and felt immense peace. What caused so much serenity in my life? What had I been doing to move from a life of distress to a life of happiness, joy and miracles? To express my gratitude and thankfulness I started writing poetry. I used to write poetry as a young child but had somehow lost connection with it. But I got back to it and realized that I was deeply in love with writing.

Connie had to deal with a lot at the age of 44. She had to have a fibroid removal and a partial hysterectomy. It all started when she was complaining about heavy bleeding during her monthly. It was also discovered that she was anemic after having blood tests. So it was figured that this was the cause. Her doctor decided to have her try the Depo shot which would mean that she would have her monthly every 3 months along taking iron pills to get iron levels up. So, she did it all. It only got worst! The bleeding never really subsided and things were all going down hill from there. Connie was at her wits end and her doctors next question was. So, how about I have a hysterectomy? Don Adams – once described as being “cool as a fan” is a New Jersey transplant who now resides in Nashville Tennessee. He says he moved to Nashville because of the raw talent and musicianship he discovered while visiting there for a weekend to work on a CD project with a friend. With the bass as his primary instrument, Don has accompanied an array of artists including: the late Charles Earland, the late Miles Davis, the late Billie Paul, Sarah Dash, Danny and the Juniors, Taylor Dane, Chaka Khan and Chico DeBarge to name a few. In more recent years Don has accompanied artist, including Gary Jenkins (Silk), Marion Meadows, Jakiem Joyner, Jeff Lorber, Joe Wooten, Jessy J, Alex Bugnon and Bobby Rush.
In December of 2003 Don founded the Don Adams Band based out of Nashville. The band is still one of the hottest tickets around. Also that year, Don received the Marion James Award as Nashville’s Bassist of the Year.
Lorenzo Washington, Producer and CEO of Jefferson Street Sound sought to revive the Jefferson Street music scene that had been relegated to history books, museum exhibits and stories told by those reminiscing the rhythm and blues, soul, rock and jazz music that emanated from the Nashville’s Jefferson Street scene.Washington turned to Don Adams to write, produce and record the label’s first full-length debut under the name the Don Adams Band.
The label’s first release is a collection of R&B-infused jazz songs by the Don Adams Band modestly titled “Caution: May Cause Passion.”
Adams describes the music on “Caution: May Cause Passion” released October 2013, as “borrowing elements from jazz, R&B and soul. We make the music and the listeners/fans decided whether it is good or not.” Music is available through online retailers.

“I feel I was put on this earth to create music that is relatable, and touches the hearts and souls of people.”
Timothy’s work sings the emotions of the human heart. “That’s what inspires me,” he says. “People are yearning for stories and songs that will fill their hearts and souls. That’s what we escape to when we can’t outwardly express ourselves. If you want to be happy, dance, cry or even be angry, it’s all in the music.”
Forged from a childhood of diverse experiences, powered by a kaleidoscope of musical influences, Timothy’s music defies category and refuses to be put in a box. “Classify me as diverse,” says Timothy. “I have the gospel background, which is where I get a lot of my soul; the emotion in my playing. But my music is ultimately a fusion of many influences. I could never see myself doing one type of music. When anyone asks me who I’d like to work or tour with, I answer everybody.”
Timothy’s tone and texture caught the eye of skilled musicians early on. He began his career as a songwriter and producer writing for the incomparable Smokey Robinson (“My World”, “Fallin in Love”). Timothy then moved on to writing and producing GRAMMY® award-winning songs for both Ne-Yo (“Say it” on Because of You) and Chris Brown (“All Back” on F.A.M.E). Wisely, he came out from behind the board with his own EP, “The Budding Rose” which contained the beautiful and sultry video for the single “Til the End of Time.” Next, he released the eponymous album Timothy Bloom, with the deluxe edition dropping in October 2014. Musicians and music influencers have taken notice.
WRONGFULLY CONVICTED MURDERER RIA SCHUMACHER FINALLY TELLS HER STORY
Model Who Served Twelve Years in State Prison Is Telling All In New Book Series - If you lived in Illinois in the mid-nineties you would know the name Ria Schumacher. Ria was seventeen at the time and was asked to go with her mother’s boyfriend and brother for a drive. The trip turned out to be a drug deal and the deal went bad and ended in the murder of the man they were selling drugs to.
The homicide left Ria with a twenty five year prison sentence because she was tried as an adult. Ria’s life was taken from her and she was not expected be free again until her early-forties. But after twelve years and ten appeals, Ria Schumacher was finally released due to her “lack of involvement”. Now at the age of thirty-seven, Ria is finally ready to tell the entire story in a three part book series.
The books are going to be released in the beginning of 2017 starting with Where the Truth Lies, which will, for the first time, tell a completely candid account of the events from this high-profile case. Ria Schumacher did not hold back anything in this memoir. She is releasing every aspect of the case and trial and exposing the injustice she received from the Illinois state judicial system.
After her prison release, Ria has returned to her career in modeling that she began as a teenager, and has also been a regular motivational speaker in the same prison system that robbed her from the best years of her life. Ria was also on season eleven of the Dr. Phil show where she was given advice by Dr. Phil on how to cope with life after facing this life-altering tragedy.

Ms. P and Dr. Sue continue giving voice to those who don’t have a voice in our series on Gun Violence.
We will be joined on Sept 6 by Dr. Nicole Clavo mother of J.J. Clavo a 16 year old high school football star who was ruthlessly gunned down on November 13, 2015 while waiting in a car at an intersection in Sacramento, California.
The person later arrested for this random act of violence was 16 year old Keymontae Lindsey in what has been described as a case of mistaken identity.
Along with Dr. Clavo we’ll be joined by Senika Shields-Levias mother of the beautiful A’Tierra Westbrook a 21 year old nursing student who was gunned down in broad daylight at 7 am in front of her home on Benicia Road in Vallejo, California by an as yet unknown assailant.
Ms. Shields-Levias will talk to you about the life of her daughter and of course how you can help catch her killer.
We’ve asked this question many times but how many mothers have to bury their babies before we start putting the guns down? A question that no one seems to have an answer for.

I can not imagine living in a world without R&B and all of the delightful souls connected to it! Whether, it's the singer or the songwriter, like they say it takes two to tango! Which brings me to our sizzling guest of the evening. Some of you know him by Lincoln, Link or Link Music! I know him as Mr. Get ME Wetter! Dallas native Lincoln “Link” Browder is anything but your ordinary R&B artist. Since the beginning of his musical career in 1998, Link has proven to be a cornerstone behind R&B music. Writing hit songs for award winning groups such as LSG- “My Body”, Silk- “If You”, and K-Ci and JoJo- “Crazy”, won Link not only recognition from not-for-profit organization ASCAP but it took his writing career to the next level; having many in the industry chasing after the next big thing.
Sho’Tyme is and R&B hip-hop duo that consists of two brothers E3 &Magic.
Both members of Sho’Tyme are from the west side of Chicago but growing up moved back & forth from home to Milwaukee.
Our music is rooted in R&B and pop but it is hip hop. Our music is full of passion and truth, and has a message to live free and not in fear.
Growing up we always listened to an R&B group called H-Town and is where we developed a soulful sound and over the years have been inspired by many artists such as; Brandy, Lauryn Hill, Tank, Micheal Buble, Paramour, John Mayer Sam Cooke, Jagged Edge, and many more.
We started performing at a young age. Our first show was when we were 12 in Chicago. We love to perform and give our fans music to relate to and to put on a show.
Growing up in Chicago there was always a lot of musical talent around us in the city and also in Milwaukee there are a lot of artists that are extremely talented.
We started singing in church and since then have performed many different shows. Usually just Hip hop and R&B shows.
We knew early that we wanted a career in music. Our father and uncle were gospel singers at their local church so we knew that we would follow the family trend.
At this point we haven’t opened up for any big named artists yet just local people, but we’re confident that this will change within the next year.
What makes our music different is the passion and emotion we put into it and how much it relates to our fans.
Our target audience is women of within ages 16 to 40 and we’re confident that they will be our biggest supporters.
Kids Love Reiki Too
Created by Carolyn Maguire and her friend Sandy - both founded Kids Love Reiki Too. They had their 1st class in May of 2013 and they said the kids who were involved LOVED it. The mission and purpose is to provide the kids with access to their own deeper knowing... which they have it in them, they just help deepen it. They provide them with skills to tap in intuitively to what they and others may need and just provide the channel for the peace.
One of their students, (they taught her mom Reiki before her), was on Dr Oz after his team sent out a request looking for kids who had special ways to de-stress or relax. She was immediately asked to come on the show and Did a great job! She can talk more about that and "what the moms told us" after the class on the interview on August 15th. Both Carolyn and Sandy LOVE teaching so much they make it fun with crafts and projects and the kids get a take home (planting a seed experiment). Carolyn can explain the plant project on the call, but basically get 2 seeds that are planted the same way.. they water both the same, but one they give Reiki to daily the other they "neglect" (no reiki) to see the outcomes is amazing. The one reiki is given thrives, while the other has either died/grown mold.
Born in Oakland California and after some time, moved to San Jose California where I was raised. I started singing when I was 16yrs old. I grew up listening to all genres of music. Rock, Pop, Gospel and R&B. But nothing resinated with me more than R&B. I was heavily influenced by artists like Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Jodeci, Boys to Men, H-Town, and Mint Condition just to name a few. R&B groups early on and performing wherever an opportunity presented itself. House parties, Clubs, restaurants, even popular street corners in San Francisco along the pier. After a few years I decided to sing with my little brother and formed the gospel group “Kenoly Brothers”. With little to no money, and no distribution or record label, me and my brother, with the support of my father, recorded our first album and sold over 10,000 units on our own. From that, we landed a distribution deal with “Diamante” and recorded two more projects selling in excess of 100,000 units. Even though things were moving in the right direction with my career, it was short lived. With our distribution company being bought out by another music group, and the illegal activity by that group ultimately bringing that company to ruin, and a falling out within the group as to the direction of the group, everything came to a screeching halt. Since that time I have gone back to my roots pursuing a career in R&B. I believe with my knowledge of the industry, my work ethic, hustle, image, vocal and writing ability, and my unwavering determination and desire to succeed,

Earl is self-taught in the art of writing, recording, producing, and mixing music. His unique style of music has a hip-hop feel but can fit into many genres. Earl keeps all of his music clean and it contains no profanity, however Earl's music is edgy enough to appeal to a mainstream audience. His music ranges from inspirational and motivational, to music you can dance to, as well as reflecting on life experiences and world topics. Through his music, Earl hopes to prove that the stereotype that modern music is all negative is just that… a stereotype.
Music is what Earl believes God has called him to do and his goal is to share God's truth and light through his music. He believes that there are some that may never step foot in a church, however if he can bring a “Christ-like” perspective to an audience through his God given passion of music, he can plant a seed for eternal hope. He believes that only when we experience God's real and unconditional love for us are we able to find our purpose, our sense of existence, and our reason for being on this earth and the world needs to hear that.
All of this motivation was put into his recent single release entitled, “Fire the Fuse”. The song is being pitched to nightclubs around the world because fans are loving the intense beat and exciting instrumentals. His music buzz has also led to Earl being considered by MTV as a new “Artist To Watch” in 2016.
“Fire the Fuse” is one of many singles Earl will be releasing this summer before he releases his new EP in the fall. He is also gearing up for a national tour before the end of this year. To learn more about Earl including music, videos, photos, and merchandise, visit www.EarlOfficial.com

Being from New Orleans made that transition flow smoothly. https://www.facebook.com/theoDureau/

As a thinker I believe and some of you will disagree with me, Barack Obama being elected as the nation’s first black president –an event that has sparked tensions and hope for most in a sense of optimism among many Americans about the future of race relations. Let's jut face it there's been a series of flashpoints around the U.S. that has long exposed deep racial divides and reignited a national conversation about race. A new Pew Research Center survey finds profound differences between black and white adults in their views on racial discrimination, barriers to black progress and the prospects for change. Blacks, far more than whites, say black people are treated unfairly across different realms of life, from dealing with the police to applying for a loan or mortgage. And, for many blacks, racial equality remains an elusive goal. What's your thoughts on this?

HOLLYWOOD, CA – The Bay Area’s most popular independent artist just released a new single titled “City Suspects”. In 2015, Bobo Norco took the rap industry by storm with a huge performance at South by Southwest, a hit single that charted nationwide on Top 40 radio, and ten major print publications that placed him on the cover of their magazines!
Bobo Norco’s success began on YouTube where he quickly accumulated nearly two million views. His popularity spread internationally with college and FM radio where he was the winner of several competitions beating fellow artists David Guetta and Chris Brown.
Although 2016 has just begun, Bobo Norco has already been a popular name in the media this year. In January he made international headlines when screenshots were leaked of an alleged conversation with Molly O'Malia, a 14 year old singer who was known for texting with Tyga. The story was covered by BET, WorldStar Hip Hop, XXL Magazine, and tweeted by TMZ. https://www.facebook.com/BoboNorco
In March Norco’s name was spread again in ThisIs50.com, Hip Hop Early, and Hip Hop DX when a photo of him was used as ammunition in a Twitter war between Katt Williams and another rapper. Norco ended speculation of having an issue with Katt in an exclusive interview with the InquisitR. And lastly in April Norco released the hit song “Special” ft. Wiz Khalifa and Wale.

Noted as one of the great instrumentalist and clinicians in the musical arena, Syreeta Thompson’s musical gift proves to be both sincere and incomparable. The powerful trumpeter has managed to blaze the gospel industry circuit by sharing the stage with many of its greatest icons from the renowned Hezekiah Walker and LFT to the legendary Dorinda Clark-Cole.
For many the musical experience of Syreeta Thompson is simply profound as she consistently delivers a stirring performance as an anointed minstrel each time she ministers. For the woman affectionately known as the Trumpet Lady, each opportunity is undeniably an opportunity “to infuse the gospel of Jesus of Christ to all mankind and to touch souls with the gift of music”.
Syreeta Thompson is a skilled and educated minstrel whose speaking and teaching schedules remains as in demand as her musical presentations. In fact, one of her premier achievements to date is her role as the Instrumental Music Coordinator for Dorinda Clark Cole’s Singers and Musicians Conference, a renowned musical convention that inspires and instructs thousands of ministers and performers each year. In recent times, she has been a featured artist for Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat and I Hear Music in the Air Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, she was the featured artist at this year’s Chicago Gospel Announcers Guild. http://www.trumpetlady.com/

Striving to be different, Casey never really found a "niche" or "gimmick" to differentiate himself from the crowd so he chose to make and dabble a little bit into everything. He often alternates through the different genres with each song that leaves fans wanting more. TRUE NORTH
A precise, navigational device that uses one’s location in relation to the North Star. In literature, True North refers to an individual’s quest to find his or her best path in life.
The concept of True North is consistent with the quality we deem most invaluable to Chinese Medicine - emphasis on the individual. In this ancient healing art, no two people are treated in the same manner because they exhibit similar symptoms of disharmony or illness. Instead, this uniquely humanistic approach to medicine takes into account the distinct makeup of each patient – body, mind and spirit.
At True North Acupuncture, our mission is to understand the goals of our patients in terms of what best health means to them.
A contract is made between practitioner and patient to work as a team in an effort to meet the health needs determined by the patient.
Our desire is to incorporate the ancient healing arts of Chinese medicine into the realities of life in modern-day New York City.
We design our treatment strategies with the complexities of city life in mind.
Let us be the needle on the compass, helping direct you toward the True North of your health.

Jigsawe is a rising contemporary artist from the Midwest. Jigsawe was born and raised in the Northwest section of St. Louis, Missouri. Born into a large family Jigsawe had the opportunity to be exposed to many different views on life yet learned to keep a firm grip on his beliefs. After high school jigsawe joined the Marines and served his country in two deployments in Iraq and Somalia, earning himself an honorable discharge. It was during his tours he fostered a genuine love and connection to the art of musical expression. He used his experiences and influences from pioneers such as KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, and Tupac to help him perfect his craft as a rapper. After leaving the service, Jigsawe decided to take his music seriously and began a career as a politically conscious rapper. However, wanting to add more to his music than just politics, he quickly realized possible limitations within that category. Jigsawe uses inspiration from day to day contact with people, his surroundings, and the every day struggle witness by many across the globe. He also uses his relationship with God to help with a better understanding of what he experiences daily. It was this awareness that allowed him to then revamp his message into one of a Christian rapper. His music holds a message of “Only God can judge you, Only God truly knows you”. Jigsawe released his first single called “One God” in 2010 off his debut album Down With The King.
When it comes to the world today, it’s hard to stay optimistic when everything around you feels uncertain. Broken politics, a deluge of social media, and a stagnant music industry -- no wonder older generations think it’s all downhill from here. It’s difficult keeping your head on straight, let alone channeling creativity. Acoustic/hip hop singer-songwriter DeLaCroix is hopeful, however, using his music as a way to encourage others to tap into their creative potential, and unleash its force to spread love and new ideas.
Based out of Tulsa, OK, Anthony DeLaCroix is a lyricist, guitar player, songwriter, and producer. Referred to as a Black Gypsy, DeLaCroix’s foray into music began in his early childhood. Born of West African/Puerto Rican descent, his mother was a musician and artist who exposed him to an array of cultural sounds: old school singer-songwriters, Caribbean music, and various African genres. His father a spiritual guru taught him to see the world as a reflection of himself. Each moment is for the perfecting of our unfolding, so why not become aware of our experience with an open heart. His eclectic palette of influences offered the perfect primer for his teenage years, where he began to bud as a musician, poet and spiritual seeker.

Many artists find themselves trapped in a sound that limits there creative potential. But there are others that refuse to be placed in a box. Sonny Lyrix fits firmly in the latter category. His new single, Mile High, has a fresh sound full of swagger with commercial appeal. Lyrix has the innate ability to appeal to multiple demographics due to the popular nature of his hip-hop music. As he would say, “ I make music in a way everyone can relate.” This outlook on music provides him a platform few artists can stand on and deliver quality music while being organic.
Sonny Lyrix, born Walter Cochran to Marchelle Smith, is a Dayton, Ohio native. He began his musical journey at a young age… His mother sang professionally with “Roger and Zapp”, exposing him to the music industry and all it had to offer. Though it involved hard work, heartbreak, and late nights, he was not deterred. At age 16, Sonny Lyrix began to hone his lyrical talents, which led him to New York after graduating from high school. Upon his arrival to the Big Apple, he quickly submerged himself in his music while embracing the rich history of hip-hop’s Mecca

Eventually, he moved back to Louisiana where he finished High School resulting in him landing work in such television commercial campaigns such as Micheal Jordan and Drew Brees' Advocare. Singer, Songwriter, Lyricist, Producer, CEO—all these titles fall under one man’s musical resume. While J. Poww is known for his success as one of the lead singers of the award-winning group U.N.V. (a/k/a Universal Nubian Voices) of Madonna’s Maverick/Warner Bros. label, his musical abilities extend far beyond a voice. As the primary writer on all three albums, J. Poww wrote the group’s biggest hit, “Something’s Goin’ On” which reached #1 on the billboard charts and remained there for nine weeks.
However, J. Poww wasn’t always a singer. Born and raised in the Capital City of Lansing, Mich., J. Poww spent his younger years not singing but rapping. It wasn’t until high school that he would truly explore his singing talents.
Since U.N.V., J. Poww has stepped up his game in a major way. In 1996, he formed his first independent label TRE-J RECORDS made up of himself, Kenneth Crear, Johnny Yaldo and John Gillete. The label was nationally distributed by Indie Distribution. His first release was for a rap duo J & The Phatman who’s first single “Keep It Comin,” produced by chart-topping producers Soul Shock and Karlyn, sold thirty-two thousand units.

Contemporary soul singer Christopher Williams was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. The nephew of jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald decided to become a singer after sitting with his aunt Ella, Frank Sinatra and Count Basie after a show. With talent in his genes and the desire to be a great recording artist, Christopher Williams emerged during the late 1980s, as a recording artist for Geffen Records. He released his debut album, entitled “Adventures in Paradise”, in 1989. The singles “Talk To Myself” and “Promises, Promises” reached the R&B Top 10 charts, and Christopher’s soulful, powerful voice made him stand out among his peers. In 1991, he landed his first acting role portraying Kareem Akbar, appearing alongside Wesley Snipes and Ice-T in the pop culture movie hit, New Jack City. His single from the soundtrack of the same name, “Dreamin’” turned gold and became a #1 single on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks charts. His 1992 Uptown Records album “Changes” featured the hits “All I See”, "Every Little Thing" and "Come Go with Me." The album peaked at sixty-three on the U.S. Billboard 200 and reached the twelfth spot on the R&B Albums chart. In 1995 the album “Changes” was followed up by “Not a Perfect Man” on Giant Records. This album brought a new direction for Williams; his first album as sole Executive Producer uses elements of reggae, R&B, hip-hop and country. In 2001, after a six year hiatus the album “Real Men Do” was released on the indie label Renegade, receiving rave reviews from Ebony Magazine and many other notable publications. Fa’Ness. I was born and raised In Pittsburgh, PA. Daineene Spearman and Michael Booker are my parents, and I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters. I have traveled every corner of my city and I am proud to say that I know many people and many people know me. I started writing music at the age of 10 years old. The first rap I ever wrote was a battle on paper against my brothers. I chewed both of them!! They’ll probably tell you different lol.
I lived with my mom as a kid. My step dad was very abusive to my mom, so we were constantly on the run from him, in and out of shelters and different homes. I met and moved to North Carolina with my dad at the age of 9. He was in the army so I learned alot of discipline living with him. After while instead beatings my punishment was push ups until he told me to stop lol. We stayed in NC for two years and then we relocated back to Pittsburgh. I believe I could have had a very successful career in basketball. I was actually considered one of the best basketball players in every school I attended. I was pretty popular in school. My friends were very diverse, hungout with the nerds in the suburbs all the way down to the thugs in the hood. I graduated from Woodland Hills High School. I could have gone to college and played basketball and more than likely went to the league; I was an honor roll student until my senior year in high school, as a result of getting in with the wrong crowd. I chose to take a break from school. TUNE IN TO HEAR MORE!

The unique sound of Retnas Rxhab is Neo-Hip-Rock-Soul. Singer-Songwriter Rennie RenWah, who hails from Brooklyn, NY, croons over hard hitting rhythms created by the Bronx's own Producer-Engineer A.k.A ANT. Together they create a musical formula that leaves listeners addicted from the very first hit.
Rennie RenWah and A.k.A ANT have been creating music as a team since 1999. They started with hip-hop and saw some success on the commercial side, including licensing for an advertising campaign with a major clothing brand. However, they were drawn to other genres such as Rock and Blues and so their music evolved into something they call Neo-Hip-Rock-Soul."Good music is good no matter what kind of music it is." - Miles Davis

Grace Gilliam is a Richmond, VA native who currently resides in Houston, Texas. She has a passion for God, singing, writing, acting and entertainment. Grace has opened for an array of artists such as Anthony Hamilton, LL Cool J, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Christopher Williams, Corrine Bailey Rae, Sheryl Crowe and a list of others.
In 2008, Grace landed a role in the Italian musical theater tour called “The Sisters,” where she performed in cities such as Rome and Torino. She also was an actress in several plays for Tyler-Coy Productions including the stage play “When Prayer Speaks,” and the dinner theater “Work It Out Lord.” Grace was also a lead singer for the cover band BS&M and the Hip Hop/ Conscious band Belief. Grace released an EP on iTunes entitled “Grace the Empress” that was a mixture of pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Although the EP did well, Grace became focused on being an inspirational/Christian music artist to make a positive impact on the world. In 2012, she partnered with FeedMore the local Richmond, VA food bank and organized the Give Thanks Community Food Drive Concert. In the same year, she performed the Star Spangled Banner at the Washington Wizards vs. Oklahoma Thunder NBA basketball game. She also began directing the teen choir Keys to Praise at Faith and Family Church.
Grace wanted to take her songwriting to the level, and in 2014 created Grace Lerone Publishing and released her first single under her publishing company entitled “The Jesus Slide.” She recently joined a cover band in Houston called the Ziggy Band, and will be releasing a new single written by Angel Scott called Remember How to Love in August of 2015. This is a new season in her life, and she is allowing God to take the lead. She firmly believes that with God, all things are possible.
DeRoyale has mastered the recipe for success, with every component necessary to be instantly thrust among the elite in his craft. Charisma he’s got it, stage presence he’s got it, lyrics he’s got it, hard work ethic he’s got it, that competitive killer instinct he’s got it!
Musical torture in the name of radio play and club bangin’ anthems free of all creativity and soul is what we as true fans of hip-hop/rap have been subjected to in this modern era. Today’s music lacks cultural diversity, originality and passion. It seems the idea of an actual artist has all but been terminated. The constant stream of one-hit wonders and copy-cat performers hijacking the beats and themes of their fellow “artists” leaves the real admirers of goodmusic, and I’m not referring to the record label, finding few if any representatives of this dying art-form. Angelo Rohra aka De Royalestrives to be the voice of a lost generation hoping to find creativity and raw emotion in their ear buds once again. Emerging from a unique background a young artist born in the USA and bred through an exceptional set of circumstances and personal triumphs arrives.
Since the age of 5 his love for music was apparent. While other children his age focused their attentions on everyday life he found himself listening to the sounds of the world around him. A true musician he carries the distinction of being well versed in multiple instruments, including: the piano, bass and electric guitar. He has always had an excellent support system composed of a close knit group of family and friends. Blessed with a loving mother, father and older brothers he values their love above all else. Even with their love and support his life was not without its own struggles.

K.tothe.A.Y. is an eclectic East Coast artist whose sound embraces a wide range of elements, from the tight edge of Hip-Hop, to the smooth grooves of RnB and the vibes of reggae / dub. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, it’s easy to see that K.tothe.A.Y. refuses to get stuck in a box when it comes to the possibilities of his song-writing.
When it comes to hip-hop and RnB, the music scene is absolutely saturated. Music magazines and record labels literally have to dig, every hour, between countless demo and promo emails, to find something truly unique and remarkable. In this day and age, anyone could just get any DAW software (digital audio workstation, an entire recording studio in your laptop) and virtually produce a great sounding backing track, or even a solid vocal performance from the comfort of their bedroom or garage. Some argue that recording technology has been “democratized”, and in a sense, it is true. This is a highly competitive industry and it takes real talent and focus to climb the ranks.
So many artists have the possibility to create and express themselves at only a fraction of the cost they would have needed to spend just about a decade ago or so. This is great, but like any revolution, it has its downsides. More recordings do not necessarily mean more quality, more care, and more talent. The truth, in most cases, is that unfortunately the majority of the new tracks that are produced this way are just “obstacles”, keeping media and labels away from true gems.
NEVAEH is an American recording artist, songwriter, dancer and actress. Born in Pasadena, CA, her first vocal performance was in front of her family at age 3. After memorizing Vanessa Williams’ “Save the Best for Last”, a song her mother sang during karaoke, she amazed everyone by singing every word of the song. Soon after, she went on to begin her career at the tender age of 4 with modeling, singing, participating in pageants and performing in talent shows.
In her quest for stardom Nevaeh has studied dance at the San Marino dance academy, Millennium dance complex and Ida. Her styles range from ballet, tap and jazz to hip hop. She feels it’s very important to be a well versed entertainer. Through the years, she went on to perform with Broadway kids, play Annie in a musical with the Colsac Academy, perform at the Rose Bowl and at the Anaheim Convention Center just to name a few.
Today, the Los Angeles singer has teamed up with the Chicago native and super producer Killa B. Killa has worked with countless mega stars in the industry and is an astounding musical genius. The two are now creating musical magic and working on her untitled EP. They are also seeing success with the recent release of her first single " Cut Off", which by the way is tearing up the airways! This release is just the first step of many that says... Nevaeh is here to stay!

As a Hip-Hop duo like we've never seen before, “ El Capitan” goes over and beyond ordinary measures. With a makeup of two Southern Californian locals, Abhi the Nomad (21), and Foster the Orrin (19) takes the idea of hip hop/funk fusion to new heights with an electric mix of today’s spirit. “ El Capitan" has dedicated all of their time to researching a cure for the common rapper and also dealing in the art of radical rhymes.
The homegrown California natives met in college where a career in music together was merely an afterthought. Abhi met Foster through a mutual friend. He heard him rhyme and knew his talent was undeniable. Foster writes all of his own material and produces on occasion, putting most of his focus on “El Capitán.” They recently released a new music video for their single " Zodiac" that is highly praised all over the hip-hop social networks.

A Legend was born on the 24th of August in Camden, New Jersey. Jaii was raised in the streets of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania then the suburbs of Bergen County, New Jersey. She is Puerto Rican and speaks English and Spanish. This Starr is an adventure seeker and always looking for an adrenaline rush. Loves animals and to her music is everything.
Jaii Starr is a U.S. Army Military Police Veteran turned Model and Motivational Speaker. She sets out with the goal to reach out to anyone who is different just like her and let them know that he or she is not alone; instilling in those that nothing should stand in the way of their dreams. As Jaii likes to say, "Why tip toe through life to arrive safely at death...? Impossible is easy.”
Who is Jaii Starr?
"Well that is a great question. Jaii Starr is me, just finding myself, wanting better for myself and others as well. My true aspiration is happiness and I judge my success by how many others I can get to join me on this new journey of mine, on thinking more positively about life. Making others see how amazing life can actually be. We all choose our own paths, it's up to us to use the beauty that is already all around us to create something even more beautiful. I am all about embracing different, embracing unique, not conforming to what society thinks life should be for me. I have my own definition of normalcy and it's absolutely crazy but, that is okay with me because I am in love with the person who I am becoming. Which is something I am hoping to instill in all of those who follow me. Do not sleep on your dreams, strive for them, because anything and everything is possible. Sure, life can be a constant struggle but, we are all warriors in our own way. Each day you wake up, just know, you have already conquered another day."

As a young woman Kream began to blend scents and always had a interest in all natural products. As time grew, her love for all natural products also grew, landing her in her own realm of natural soy candle making. With a passion for candles and beautiful scents, she embarked on a journey that has been something no one could ever fathom.
It began as an idea with no specific destination in sight. Success did not happen overnight. There were many twists and turns along the way. The break-through moment came when the demand for the soft signature presentation of the candles along with the natural scents were becoming highly demanded by many (Vh1, radio hosts, NBA players, NFL players as well as BET rip the runway and many gift bag ideas) results were immediate. They were a hit.
Kream believing that great quality products, rather than the usual plain marketing, the people who fell in love with Kreamie's would spread the word. She was correct. We appreciate our growing family of natural candle and body product aficionados and earth-conscious connoisseurs to people who just love great quality products!
Kreamie's Collection was born from the idea to "just try it" - now we are doing it. Everything all natural.
Bringing happiness, joy & love to customers' hearts, skin & homes is what we strive for daily.

As women, we share in the same struggles no matter race, age, religious background or ethnicity.” Keishana, Jenna and Marvalis bring you inspired conversations where women can gather, learn and grow from each other. ROCKit Convo’s title derives from the idea that women grow the most from conversations had with other women they can relate to. Those conversations are what propel us into newer heights, “it give us the encouragement we need to try new things, to leave bad relationships and to simply trust our struggles” said Keishana. Although we’re targeting women aged 24-50, we realize the impact of this show will grasp the younger demographic of women audiences as well. Having said that, this show will not only be a brand or a community, it will be a force of power where being enlightened and inspired leads to action. Our mission is to explore life and to continually grow through the struggles that women can relate to. We aim to have an “at-home” feel for our audience. Having them feel a part of the conversation is vital as we provide insights, laughs and encouragement.

At age 16. At that time I was 9 months into a 26 month treatment for leukemia, 80 pounds overweight and in such bad physical condition that I literally could not walk 3 blocks without almost passing out. I felt like my life was completely slipping away from me. That’s when I decided to take back control of my health through diet, exercise and living a healthier lifestyle. My body was completely transformed in 22 months.
When contemplating a career, I realized that I wanted to help other people the same way, so I began to work in fitness training at age 22. I quickly realized that many people are struggling with physical problems that restrict their ability to be active and do what they want to do. I felt so sorry for these people because most of them had been to Doctors and Therapists and they were still having problems.
I knew I needed to find a way to help them. As fate would have it, I discovered something absolutely amazing that nobody else was doing. I discovered Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT). MAT answered so many questions I had as a practitioner about why things were the way they were with peoples bodies, and it gave me a way to solve problems that couldn’t be solved any other way. Since then, I’ve performed MAT on hundreds of people, and I’ve seen so many lives transformed because of it. I’m one of them! Without MAT I’d probably be close to crippled right now because of old back injuries. Thanks to MAT I live an active life and rarely ever have any discomfort in my body. It is truly a gift from God!!!

Hot new artist that is dominating the east coast region, EmKay. He has been blazing microphones in the tri-city area since the turn of the 21st century. EmKay has received several awards and recognition for his single "Control" from the 2013 Mixtape: Moving On. EmKay's message is one of living life to the fullest, despite what people have to say about you. He has had to face controversy similar to that of Eminem throughout his career in hip hop simply because of the complexion of his skin. However he always finds a way to outsmart his opposition by coming harder with solid music that even the most negative critic cant deny.
One word to describe EmKay's sound is Snappy. He delivers bars that confront all the negativity sent his way with a style that is far beyond your traditional "angry white rapper" stigma, but on a more conscious level of empowerment through musical expression.

I didn’t own a house previously and I had no room for workshop setup. Since its purchase I have been remodeling it building furniture for it and working on other projects. I also had a space for a soap room. From there I came to realize that I needed molds easy to work with and ones in which I could create prettiest designs possible. My molds received such great feedback from fellow soapers that I decided to share them with others. When I became a vendor for Bramble Berry I realized that I have created something unique. It’s only beginning but we’ll see

Horace Brown was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and is the son of a Baptist minister. Despite singing in the church as a child, Horace Brown never believed he would sing for a career. Instead, he dreamed of one day being a professional basketball player. However, a knee injury ruined these plans.
Horace Brown played a variety of instruments in his school's marching band and managed to score a break when DeVante Swing of Jodeci heard one of Brown's demos. Brown earned spots doing backup for Christopher Williams and did some writing. He finally scored a break when he managed to get a contract with Uptown after Andre Harrell saw him in a recording session.
In 1994, while on Uptown Records, Horace Brown spurred controversy with his single 'Taste Your Love' was released. The single was an ode to oral sex and was banned in parts of the south. Despite the press around the single, it failed to perform well on the charts and caused Horace Brown's album to be put on the shelves for the remainder of the time he was at Uptown.
When Andre Harrell of Uptown moved to Motown, he brought Horace Brown with him. Motown promoted the album by releasing two more singles and in 1996, released his self-titled debut album. The album featured Sean 'Puffy' Combs and Faith Evans.

The group is most known for the overwhelming commercial success from the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-penned classic "Tender Love.” The song proved to be a huge success, peaking at #10 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, remaining there for 19 weeks, and helping Jam & Lewis garner a Grammy Award for Producer of the Year. Incredibly, the group would follow this success in 1987 with their first #1 R&B hit "Love is a House.” But the Force MD’s deep catalog of classic R and B/ Hip-Hop staples including “Tears,” “Here I go Again,” “Let me Love You,” and their continued release of new anthems for all occasions has allowed them to maintain a consistent presence at radio and in the hearts of their fans.

In the rise of every unforgettable star, there is a precise moment when the world seems a bit more magical, because she’s in it. This moment will be remembered as the time the world fell in love with Jadagrace. Jadagrace is a fifteen-year old force that can’t be contained. She is always on the move. She sings, she dances, she acts. Her music, including her new single “Boom Boom, Boom,” is a fun upbeat pop song that shows off her splashy spirit. It incorporates her infectious essence. To those who know her, she is already a vocal sensation, who has the rare talent, poise, and dazzling stage presence of the world’s greatest entertainers. Motown’s founder Berry Gordy, who happens to be Jadagrace’s mentor, once said, “I have this ability to find this hidden talent in people that sometimes even they didn't know they had.” Gordy has signed Jadagrace to his label WestGate, home to “Boom Boom Boom.” It’s clear what Gordy, the man who signed a young Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, recognizes in Jadagrace — a special kind of magic. Jadagrace doesn’t remember a time when she didn’t want to make the world better through music. She witnessed the impact that great artists can have first hand, when at age nine, she attended Michael Jackson’s funeral. The moment made an indelible impact on Jadagrace, who was inspired to write the moving song “Mr. Magic Gone Too Soon.” “We left the funeral and I was saying how he was gone too soon and from there we went straight to the studio,” she says. “I really love that song; it still makes me cry.” Michael’s “Heal the World” became her mantra.

Money Warturz started rapping at a early age he found hisself being arrested for things like trespassing. A few assault charges, DWI's, driving without a license, the stop and frisk policy in NYC has been taking place for at-least 20 years. He found no support within the lawyers he encountered and he couldn't do as much as afford a payed lawyer. After, countless fines and being levid. From that time he decided tohit the books and read law books to aide in his case. Knowing the law didn't really do much for Money Warturz he coulsn't completely grasp the terms being used in a legal since. He taught hisself the defintion of the terms used and essentially had to make the system work for him. He was arrested and the rest is history needless to say he beat the case due to something called "Challenging a Courts Jurisdiction" The system quickly found out quickly that Money Warturz quickly found out he was ready to prove this using facts not opinions. So today I'am here to share his findings with other like minded people or who is ever willing to listen.

Word One flew clear across the nation to be raised in New York. He can be considered a vet in the game with a career spanning over a decade beginning in 1993. His biggest inspiration is his mother but he also pulls a great deal of influence from fellow lyricist such as Rakim, Wu-Tang, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Eminem, and DMX. His philosophy is that music can be made for average, working-class individuals and doesn't always have to be about balling, trapping, sex, or other nonsense. Real-life, relatable situations are his teachings and class is in session. Word One will be dropping the Best of Freestyles: Vol 3 (Ruff Ryder Edition) in February of 2015 in celebration of him being singed to work with DMX. His first single was entitled “Hocus Pocus” from the album "Journey To Nowhere" which dropped in 2011 during his eighth year as an artist, also eight years after his fist edition of his solo mixtape brand: Best of Word One prides himself on being one of the most versatile artist in rap music.

Azizah Diamond was born on June 20,1989 in Sacramento, Ca. Mixed with Black, Japanese, Choctaw Indian and some family said Ethiopia, she grew up in very cultured families. Azizah began singing in her grandmother's home away from home, Saint Paul Baptist Church, as a young girl. Brought up in the church, Azizah learned to love everything from gospel to rhythm and blues. Knicknamed “Sugamama” and "Miss Hollywood" as a child, she was constantly caught dancing in the mirror singing "old school" songs with her mother and was the first love child in the family. She taught the family how to say "I love You" to each other by simply saying it to her grandmother. Her family knew at an early age that Azizah was born for stardom.
Raised in a strict home and attending a private school at a young age she was only allowed to listen to certain music, so she would always sneak and listen to the radio at night to learn different songs to sing. I was always listening to Janet and Aaliyah growing. She attended Sheldon High School where she became a member of the dance company Universal Rhythm. Well known for their dance routines in her hometown, and her love for Janet Jackson's dance moves she was named "Miss Janet" with Azizah at the lead, the group had amazing performances.
She worked with rapper Doey Rock out of Sacramento Azizah had her first radio play on KSFM 102.5 as a featured artist on a song called " Halo", later doing shows with Doey Rock she became well known in her home town. Her family and friends encouraged her to want to move to a bigger city to get more opportunities.

Steven Van Patten is a native New Yorker, raised in Fort Greene and currently living in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. ‘SVP’ describes himself as an insomniac with an overactive imagination and a lover of things that go bump in the night. He’s quoted as saying that, “I love horror movies, but I am not always crazy about how people of color are depicted or handled within the horror genre. My list of complaints goes on forever, from the stereotypical slang-talker who is dead before the credits are over to the fact that Blade goes for an entire trilogy of movies without the main character attaining a true love interest.”
This is probably why after coming home from his exhausting experiences stage managing various TV shows throughout the New York area, he was motivated to stay up all hours of the night writing the Brookwater’s Curse vampire novel series. Because of his extensive work in both the television and literary fields, he’s now a member of both the Director’s Guild of America and The Horror Writer’s Association.
The Brookwater’s Curse books are a combination of many things the author loves, all pulled together to create a very dark, very adult, supernatural vision. He is currently working on, “The Genius” a somewhat futuristic, multi-cultural take on the serial killer genre.

Tonight we're discussing Motivation and how a positive attitude impacts your life. We all have a choice. We can choose an inner dialogue of self-encouragement and self-motivation, or we can choose one of self-defeat and self-pity. It’s a power we all have. Each of us encounters hard times, hurt feelings, heartache, and physical and emotional pain. The key is to realize it’s not what happens to you that matters; it’s how you choose to respond. Habitual bad attitudes are often the product of past experiences and events. Common causes include low self-esteem, stress, fear, resentment, anger and an inability to handle change. It takes serious work to examine the roots of a harmful attitude, but the rewards of ridding ourselves of this heavy baggage can last a lifetime. 818-495-6975

Almost 70 percent of black children are born to single mothers. Those mothers are far more likely than married mothers to be poor, even after a post-welfare-reform decline in child poverty. They are also more likely to pass that poverty on to their children. Sophisticates often try to dodge the implications of this bleak reality by shrugging that single motherhood is an inescapable fact of modern life, affecting everyone from the bobo Murphy Browns to the ghetto “baby mamas.” Not so; it is a largely low-income—and disproportionately black—phenomenon. The vast majority of higher-income women wait to have their children until they are married. The truth is that we are now a two-family nation, separate and unequal—one thriving and intact, and the other struggling, broken, and far too often African-American. Self Worth And How It Impacts Your Life
I havemet many people who don't have any self worth or have low self worth. Some of the traits of someone who is lacking self worth are as follows: They allow people to walk all over them and they have a hard time saying no. They are afraid of hurting other people's feelings and tend to please people so they will like them. They also don't stand up for themselves or put importance on their own feelings. Most of the time the people who do this are very miserable, unhappy and feel like their life is out of control. They don't know their own value as a person so people walk all over them. You see self worth is the opinion you have about yourself and the value you place on yourself. So if you don't recognize your own value how can someone else. When you don't value yourself this opens up a vicious cycle of allowing people to take you for granted and walk all over you. Since you don't value yourself people won't stop taking advantage of you unless you put a stop to it.
If you can identify with this there are ways that you can build up your self worth. The first thing that you need to do is stop being around people who are negative and put you down. Also people who don't value you as a person and take advantage of you. It is very important to do this since being around those types of people keeps you in the vicious cycle. The next step that you need to take is to take some time to reflect on your gifts and great personalities traits. Write them down as you identify them so you can have something to look at and remind yourself on a daily basis.

Racial profiling is a practice that presents a great danger to the fundamental principles of our Constitution. Racial profiling disproportionately targets people of color for investigation and enforcement, alienating communities from law enforcement, hindering community policing efforts, and causing law enforcement to lose credibility and trust among the people they are sworn to protect and serve. We rely on the police to protect us from harm and to promote fairness and justice in our communities. The despicable practice of racial profiling, however, has led countless people to live in fear and created a system of law enforcement that casts entire communities as suspect.
Racial profiling continues to be a prevalent and egregious form of discrimination in the United States. This unjustifiable practice remains a stain on American democracy and an affront to the promise of racial equality. Since September 11, 2001, new forms of racial profiling have affected a growing number of people of color in the U.S., including members of Muslim, Arab, and South Asian communities. The Obama administration has inherited a shameful legacy of racial profiling codified in official FBI guidelines and a notorious registration program that treats Arabs and Muslims as suspects and denies them the presumption of innocence and equal protection under the law.
