A Wall-less World

8 Episodes

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the United Nations was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2006. It came into force in China on 31 August 2008 and is also applicable to the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. The Convention is an important milestone to the protection, promotion and assurance of the full enjoyment of human rights by the 650 million disabled people over the world and ensures that they enjoy full equality under the law. In the series of 10 episodes, stories of people with different disabilities are used to illustrate the various articles in the Convention. The essence of the Convention conveyed through the stories will help us see the world behind the tangible and intangible walls around us.
