The Robert Fletch “Podcast”: Recent Episodes

Here I talk with friends about dreams we’ve had and then we start discussing the show “The Robert Fletch Memoirs” which is the scripted produced show with a story arc and everything. This podcast is just casual banter and brainstorming, telling stories, learning about the deepest parts of ourselves, and eventually discussing about how to shape the arc of Robert Fletch’s world, all the people he encounters, and finish that story.
Current instance: Fast travel flight-buckets, southeast coastline islands, night boats docked, pirates and thieves. Jumping high in this instance. Remembering: flying above clouds SUPER high up, trying to get back to base hover jet/caravan. Lost couldn’t find it. Playground platform jump off of and hurts. Diving board in sky. Lastly, I remembered the time I was in giant city huge buildings night jumping over buildings and on top, i was chasing down villain with red heat powers on hands. That was intense. Right now I need to get back to where my friends are.. I think they wanted to find this ship near town that can harness the power of the sun for teleportation. Don’t wanna miss that. I think that event happens tomorrow morning. I might go up to that hill nearby and sleep, looks like a lot of good tall grass cover.
The time dust dream. Also a sneak peak into another dream, the “Celestial Rainbow Bridge of Light”. Maybe this one was influenced by Mario Kart, also maybe Avatar the last air bender? Who knows.. hahahaha
Robert Fletch finds himself on top of a large building in a city at night. Maroon sky. Bombs going off. Will he fly somewhere else? Who knows
This is a full blown sketch of what an episode would be like. Using the method/format of recording a “memory” WHILE I’m exploring. The world Robert Fletch is exploring while recording is also a viable dream world so when I stop recounting the “memory” (dream) to mention something that I just bumped into or a cool tree somewhere that I see in the NOW, those details may be made up (planned intentionally) to resemble dreams I’ve had before/ or dream like themes. So, on one of these “record a memory whilst exploring” walks, the details he runs into on his walk might also be details in a later memory of his. Maybe on one of these walks he’ll start flying! Or find a secret door or staircase somewhere. Of course, in real life as me (Isaac) cannot fly, I would have to pretend and add foley later. But recording while walking method makes it interesting I think, and automatically adds a bit of Foley to the episode without post editing! I think a lot of the episodes are going to be formatted like this. —-Dreams: swimming up rain after rehearsal by high school, then flying low by the trees in cemetery, then found village and stream and cliff and jumped off. Then I recalled another couple flying dreams (memories), my first one ever at friends house, weird room of green acid filling floor and a being emerges, I freak out and fly across two rooms. Then notice they saw me and I flew out the window and tried to hide behind/above the trees out of everyone’s sight. The other flying dream was the beautiful tree goddess I was entranced by while flying up among the tops of her branches in this mystical marshy sunlit woodsy clearing.
A candid episode talking about my dreams, (not in the character of Robert F). There’s Ben in the dream, and I was how old I am now, 24. Then we found the snake and the rat.. then later I was in college and had a bag of wood blocks..? Sick and had to get out of there.
This is the point of Robert Fletch’s life where he discovers a book of memoirs he wrote during the first half of his life. This episode also marks the era of him starting to record the “memories” that come back to him on a device he found on one of the shelves in the abandoned tower. He finds a secret tunnel that leads to a tree in the middle of nowhere that he uses as his journaling spot. This episode has a Narrated feel because he jotted down the events on paper but later opened up that page and recorded it on the device so he could share the audio card with others he meets. Sometimes he doesn’t have access to the recording device so he finds his journal and writes it down.
