"Storms are meant to show you things you never knew you had inside of you."
Hiiiii besties! Welcome back! Welcome back this week we are joined by KD Hill.a former football player for Ole Miss who has an incredible story to share. K. D. started for three years in a row and even wore the prestigious number 38 and the Chucky Mullins award. His journey in athletics has been nothing short of remarkable, with achievements in high school, over 30 college offers, and opportunities with professional teams like the XFL's Orlando Guardians, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills.
Unfortunately, K. D.'s life took a tragic turn with a car accident that led to the amputation of his leg. But instead of letting it defeat him, he found a new path in motivational speaking and writing. Currently, he's working on a book that dives into his life-changing experience and the incredible power of perseverance and faith.
In this episode, I was blown away by K. D.'s resilience and positivity. Despite the challenges heâs faced, K. D.'s unwavering faith in God was his guiding light through recovery. We talked about the mental strength it takes to overcome such obstacles and how challenges can transform us for the better. Our conversation really highlighted the theme of using adversity as a catalyst for growth and finding our true purpose in life. It was such an inspiring discussion, and I'm so grateful to K. D. for sharing his story with us. Enjoy :)

Hi besties! Welcome back! This week I share my personal journey of learning to trust the process and surrender to the things I cannot control. I wanted to reflect on my struggles with driving, particularly after experiencing two car accidents, and how I managed to overcome my fear through therapy and a cross-country road trip.
For me, it was a profound experience that taught me the importance of being kind to myself during challenging times and trusting that everything will eventually work out for the good. I want to encourage you, besties, to avoid falling into the comparison trap and instead focus on your own unique journey. Trusting the process keeps us anchored in the present moment, and it opens the door to unexpected opportunities and personal growth.

The premise of this show boils down to  âYour story mattersâ no matter what you've been through. [2:00] Your story is healingThe more you  share your hard stories in a safe space the more healing is allowed for you. The less power the dark things have over you.[3:00] Your story empowers othersShame and guilt like to keep you silent. The more you share the more you empower yourself and empower others[4:00] Connect with othersSharing your story allows you to connect with others who have been/are going through similar struggles[5:30] Your story validatesSharing your story shares your experience and connects you with others to validate the experiences youâve had[7:30] Overcoming StigmasSharing your stories break the stigmas that traumas, addictions, etc hold over you. You can relate to people who have been through similar things to you. [9:00] Your story encourages and inspiresYour story encourages and inspires others, but it should encourage and inspire you first. Thank you for always listening and supporting, I love you and I mean it. [0:00] IntroductionWelcome back to the Tana Talks Podcast!
[1:00]In this episode, weâre discussing how to actually manifest and do a vision board and get tips and tricks for making your dreams come true. We'll also be answering some questions about my move and other topics.
[2:12] Vision boards are fun My first tip for making a vision board is don't stress yourself out about it â it's supposed to be fun. It's an intentional practice and it's meant to be fun and creative. You can start with a Pinterest board and add things that inspire you, such as dream cars, dream office spaces, and any words or money goals. Look at this board at least a couple of times a week to stay focused on the vision.
[6:15] My other tip for making a vision board is to be in a good Headspace when you go to do it. Set the atmosphere â light a candle, take a bath, have a relaxing night â and have a good attitude about it. Then, you can grab some magazines, scroll through them with intention, and cut out the photos and words that resonate with you. Paste these photos and words onto a board
[13:05] Culture shock Living in LA vs GA.
[16:38] How to make friends in a new city
[18:43] WHY LA?
[20:12] How was the roadtrip?

Hi besties! Welcome back to the FINAL episode of Tana Talks for 2022! A little bit of a catch up from the last few months, 10 lessons in 2022, and whatâs to come in 2023. #1: Hug your loved ones like it might be the last time you see them. This year has been a lot of wins but a lot of deep losses. Itâs so cliche but tmr isnât promised. Love on people a little harder. Also if you think something nice about someone, always tell them, text them, call them. When you think it, do it. #2: Your entire life can change with one year of focused daily effort. Your daily habits will make or break you. #3: Most of your friends arenât really your friends. Check your circle. The people who say they are for you arenât always for you. Make room for those who are. #4 No is a powerful word. If itâs not a heck yes. Itâs a no. There is power in your yes and no. Stop doing things just because you think youâre âsupposedâ to be doing them. #5 Never think twice about investments in yourself. Itâs not a loss. Youâre worth it and it will always come back to you. #6 Regret is way more painful than failure. Itâs scarier to not try than it is to try and fail. Iâd rather live a life knowing I tried and did things that made me #7 Never let the wanting of MORE distract from the beauty of ENOUGH. Itâs all about the journey and being grateful for everything you have exactly where you are. #8 Your habits put you in a position where luck is more likely to strike. Daily habits set you up for success. #9 Focusing on process over prize leads to more and better prizes. Be grateful for the journey and the process. #10 Adopt an abundance mindset. Itâs just as easy to adopt an abundance mindset as it is a lack mindset. Surround yourself with the right people. Change your mindset. Change your life. Lots of exciting things planned for 2023. See you in a few weeks besties. Whats up family welcome back to another episode of Tana Talks!!! This week we talk all things imposter syndrome! Imposter syndrome is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud. It disproportionately affects high-achieving people, who find it difficult to accept their accomplishments. This week we talk how I used to run away from these feelings but as I have continued on this journey I have began running towards these things. We talk practical ways to deal with imposter syndrome.
Separate your feelings from facts.
Take notes of your accomplishments - Celebrate your wins.
Stop Comparing.
Let go of perfectionism.
Share your failures.
Run to it.

Hiii Besties! Welcome back! I always want to start and say thank you for listening! Thereâs a lot of ways you can be spending your time and im so thankful yâall chose to spend time here.
This week is a solo talk!! First one in a while and this episode explains the REAL reason I stopped doing solo episodes! It was a learning experience and something I had to grow through.
This week I talk starting now right where you are. How NOW is the time to go after what you want and what youâve been dreaming of. Start now where you are let it be messy. Learn along the way, and trust the process. Trusting the process means trusting your process and not looking around at what others are doing⌠that only leads to the comparison trap! Starting now with the dream youâve been dreaming will only allow other dreams to be birthed! Stop wasting time and start now!
We talk whatâs to come for the future and the new recording space. Keep your eyes out for an update & exciting things to come!

Anna encourages you to checkout the instagram/facebook/discord to get connected virtually before your first in person meet up if you are feeling anxious to just show up. It can be scary but rest assured Atl friends is a very inclusive and accepting diverse group of people and every type of person you can imagine.
We talk about vulnerability and how vulnerability can lead to incredible life changes. People feel so alone with life and think they canât share and open up, but thereâs power that comes from your vulnerability.
We talk her heart for people and where it comes from. Part of it comes from her Mom. It makes her feel fulfilled to help others feel better. It shows up in Atl friends, her work, her personal life, and many other areas. She thinks itâs hard to be human and the human experience is hard but if we can band together it make the experience better.
We talk exponential growth from tiktok and ATL SCOOP. We talk building her team and knowing when she couldnât handle things on her own.She talks what an Atl friends meet up is like, how the ATL Friends community has grown in such a short period of time, we talk collaborations, dream collabs, and how all of this has forced her and her team to be innovative.

Hi BESTIES! Welcome back to the Tana Talks Podcast. This week we are joined by Shelby Tesio. She is a stylist, actress, comedian, producer, and co-founder of Handup-Standup!
We talk Shelbys journey from a small town in Illinois to moving to Atlanta. Shelby went to school on an Acting Scholarship. Shelby moved to Atlanta to start her career on set as a stylist. Shelby really enjoyed being onset, and got her feet wet by being behind the scenes. We talk her journey to begin acting herself. After she began acting she noticed she kept getting sad roles to read, she didn't enjoy the sad roles, and she wanted to do something more fun/creative... So thats when she started doing stand up!
She started creating her own content & began feeling freedom from the content she created. Once she began creating content of her own, she began getting more opportunities in both comedy and acting! We talk how your next opportunity will always come through a person.
We talk about how to balance comedy, life, acting, and so much more. She talks what to do when you're not feeling funny. She talks knowing yourself and knowing when you need to take a break. She talks knowing yourself and knowing when to fill up your tank. We also talk ways to balance, and how to still be creative while running a business. We talk differences between male and female comics & some of the stereotypes that comeâŚAnd of course, we talk about the last time she cried!
We talk all things Handup Standup & the origin story of this beautiful business. Multiple venues around Atlanta currently produce Hand Up Stand Up shows and open mics, while a growing number of nonprofits, businesses, and sponsors join us. Our entertainment is unmatched: from the quality of production, to the talent we bring in, and more!
Looking for the perfect spot around Atlanta for a great night out? Come to a Hand Up Stand Up show! And if you're feeling brave and want to give stand-up a go for the first time, come to one of our open mic nights!
Looking for an Atlanta-based comic and actress who will catch your ear, your eye, and your funny bone all in equal measure? Your search ends here. From her youthful days in her feisty Italian family, to the moment she started comedy, Shelby Tesio has attracted the spotlight.
She got her start early on at local open mics around the city, with her first show at the Tin Roof Cantina, drawing a great crowd⌠and they havenât been able to escape her since, since she was able to turn that into a regular hosting gig. See? Made for the spotlight!
While she has appeared on Adult Swim and has been featured on HLN Network, Shelby is also happy to play in the background (specifically in wardrobe, by making her actors look fabulous in various films and television productions).
She has also assisted on multiple platforms including FOX, Esquire Magazine, and a few national commercials. Shelby is thrilled to be a part of the Hand Up Stand Up team, because helping people matters and the spotlight really is better when shared.
When that feisty Italian family of Shelbyâs isnât busy inspiring her, theyâre probably busy being disappointed by her dark humor instead.
Either way, she provides a memorable laugh! #MontanaDoran #creativecommunity #comedyinterview

JAMAR BROWN-KING. Jamar is the Campus Pastor of Mosaic Atlanta, and we are honored to have him on this episode. Jamar touches on the current climate with the most recent murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. These conversations are so hard to have, but I am so thankful for a friend who is here to educate me on how he lives his life.. Jamar gets so open about injustices he has experienced, and certain ways of thinking he has. These are generational issues, this is nothing new, but it is now being recorded.  He dreams of a day where his children can run and play and not have to worry about the color of their skin, but by the character of who they are. He wants this for not only his children, but mine, YOURS, all of humanity..  It begins with us.  We break this by having people in our life that are different than us whether it be looking different, thinking different, believing different. It doesn't matter. We are one humanity. To close out we touch on the forgiveness of these predators. Jamar chooses to forgive, but has a righteous anger. Again, we thank Jamar for his openness and honesty, these conversations are so uncomfortable, but so needed.Â

Dillon Coke sits down with us after the current tragedy in Minneapolis, and the tragic death of George Floyd.  First and foremost, a huge thank you to Dillon Coke for coming on another episode and being so vulnerable. I am eternally grateful to know Dillon, this episode absolutely wrecked me. Dillion opens up about being a young adult black man, and the fears he has living day to day, in a climate like this. "Just make it home and the rest will work itself out" is a phrase he repeats to himself. Dillon also goes over ways we can be an ally "1. listen 2. amplify 3. speak up if you see injustice" -- more tools from Dillons sister will be on instagram @ohhappydani. Injustice or not, we need to treat others like humans. We are one humanity. We have to do better.  These conversations are so hard, but I am so thankful for friends who are willing to share. HAPPY 10TH EPISODE!!! Thanks for your continued love and support! This week we touch on joy! Joy is way more than just the feeling of happiness. Joy comes from within, and joy comes straight from God. Internal joy cannot be tied to the external circumstances. Joy is not always easy to keep in life as things come in the way, but with practice we can have joy in the most difficult of situations. Erika is a living breathing example of keeping the joy no matter what the circumstance. Amidst chaos and confusion she can still brighten up the room. In this talk we get real about all things from: divorce, dating just to date, remarriage, self worth issues, not settling, and so much more! We laugh, we cry, you donât wanna miss this one! BIG announcement at the end!! Be sure to subscribe, rate, and review this podcast! Love ya, mean itâĽď¸
