We would be finishing up our Pre-capping project for the D+ show Loki, but alas, Disney stopped returning our calls and refused to delay the show while DadPodz went on vacation. Do you know how long it has been since we had a vacation? We got to get behind the wheel and hit the open road. It was such a joyous experience we did not even need to threaten children with the 'I will turn this car around' or 'Don't make me come back there.' But we did sprinkle a few gems from the driver's seat like 'Wake me up when we get there,' or when passing cemetery 'People are just dying to get into that place.' But we digress. This episode is a recap of the entire Loki show. It's great! @LokiOfficial @michaelwaldron @iamkateherron @disneyplus

This movie is so insane, we just recap it, analysis is mostly unnecessary. But we do ask how many times should Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt been killed. Why are bombs in movies so hard to diffuse? Is it necessary to 'tie' the explosions of two nuclear weapons together when they are less than a mile apart? Enjoy, Rate, Subscribe, Review. Do it all again.

Dadwatch presented by Dad Podz does the impossible. We recap Mission Impossible: Fall-Out. The most recent films in the 20+ year old franchise that in the 90s was based on a 20 year old TV show. That's nearly 50 years of popular culture. We break down scene by scene, discuss all the insanity of this soon-to-be-classic-but-too-recent-to-be-a-classic action film. This was fun. Rate, Subscribe, Review.

In this episode we continue our DADWATCH series. We breakdown and review Batman: HUSH now streaming on a streaming service that is NOT currently a sponsor, so if you want our plug you are going to have to pay AT&T! This is an animated entry into the DCAU, which thus far has been roughly 1000 times better than the live action DCU. This one doesn't disappoint as it introduces a new Batman Villain, HUSH. We cover the origin in the comics and how it compares to this version. As Batman tries to silence HUSH, we wonder why certain changes were made. We also note that this animated film has gone full PG-13, the occasional curse word and blood splatter abound. Also, is this bigger medical miracle than Batman in The Dark Knight Rises? This was brain surgery and concussions, that was back broken without surgical intervention. Also, where would we be without a mind controlled Superman? Rate, Subscribe, Review.

View Details

DADWATCH. In our first episode of DADWATCH we re-watch Batman Begins, mostly because it was on HBOMAX and available. But it's good. It holds up! We ask the dad questions that everyone should: What is the legacy of this movie? What is the best father relationship? What is the worst? Batman clearly has a no killing policy, but goodness gracious the concussions! I know it's not a question, but maybe Arkham is filled with convicts with traumatic brain injury.

This episode goes from Alabama to Kansas. Why did we do this? We sort of explain! Apparently our picking of candidates is legally binding so The Rock will soon be governor of ______! Listen for the news before it is broken by Adrian Wojnarowski (we don't really know the political reporter equivalent).

This is a departure for Dad Podz, delving into a serious topic. Though it is not explicit, violence is discussed and may be upsetting to hear, though Dad Podz feels it is important to say. Michael and Shane discuss police brutality, the demonstrations around the world, protests and riots. Shane tackles his own white privilege. Michael talks about the systemic problems that require similarly large changes. They discuss some solutions, give some tips on what people can do to help, but mostly they are angry and sad.

At the end, they discuss some kid friendly media that is well representative of other races and cultures. Representation matters.
