A radio ministry produced by Man O War Church in Lexington, Kentucky under the leadership of Pastor Mitchell Tolle.
“For every seed, good or bad, there is a harvest. For every effort, intentional or inadvertent, there is a reward.”
So in this journey called life James says "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only."
We are not to get our identity from the culture, from friends, or from our occupation, but from God.
This week we are going to continue on by looking at the church that James is writing to and leading in this great little Book that carries his name.
There is a call upon us we cannot ignore and an assignment we can never accomplish without the power that came on the Day of Pentecost.
Tonight we continue in our study in the Book of James, asking the question: 'What is Jesus commanding you to do?'"
Tonight we begin our study in the Book of James 1:1 - "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings."
“God sends ordinary people out on extraordinary assignments. Could it be that He’s sending you?”
Tonight we continue our series on the Book of Ruth. The story of Ruth is one of compassion, courage, boldness, and integrity.

“If we are living as a prophesied generation in perilous times, how then are we to live?”

Tonight we continue in our series on the Book of Ruth. The story of Ruth is one of compassion, courage, boldness, and integrity.
Tonight we are back in Ephesians 6. We are going to look at the weapons we have access to in this spiritual war we find ourselves in.
We must know that it’s not just God and us. We have an enemy - a third variable that we absolutely have to factor into everything in this life.
Tonight we will explore the idea of thinking in spiritual ways… and the power of thinking in spiritual ways.
“God is the powerful and bountiful rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. He will Himself reward you openly”
We continue with our study of the “Parables of Jesus”. Tonight our focus is on prayer - “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
We will take a look at the “The Parable of the Wicked Vinedresser” found in Mark 12:1-12
This morning we are in Luke 14:12–24 as we continue with our series “The Parables of Jesus” with “The Parable of the Great Banquet”
Jesus’ parables are the most famous stories in the history of the world. Jesus is the greatest storyteller, the greatest preacher ever. Yet even people who don’t know Jesus.
If you get nothing else from tonight's message get this truth; Our God is not a reluctant Savior! Our God is a relentless Savior.
For tonight we have a very familiar yet often misunderstood parable “The parable of the Good Samaritan”
Pastor MJ continues teaching on the parables of Jesus. Today we will look at the story of Lazarus and the rich man.
The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard where our Lord makes a clear distinction that “the last will be first, and the first last.”
A parable about hell; Jesus would say more about hell than all the other biblical preachers and teachers combined. He was neither careful or silent about this subject. Why are so many churches?
“Why parables?” Why would the greatest communicator the world has ever known tell stories?

The “If-then” principle of scripture teaches us that God’s promise to do His part is tied irrevocably to us doing our part. We dig a hole – he provides the miracle of fruitfulness.”
The prayer found in the 9th chapter ends simply by asking Lord; “give us a measure of revival.”
Much of what is happening right now has more to do with who is coming after you than it does with where you are right now.
Awaken the warrior in you to fight for the next generation like their lives depend on it.
Tonight's statement "the acceptable year of the Lord" marks the time period in which the era of salvation has finally come.
In tonight's study we will look at Luke's first account of Jesus' public ministry found here in the 4th chapter of Luke; likely you are aware of this moment? As this is were Jesus will step behind the sacred desk and read from Isaiah 61
In tonight's study we will look at Luke's first account of Jesus' public ministry found here in the 4th chapter of Luke.
“When you rise up in faith, you will not only obtain victory, your rising up will inspire others to obtain victory, too.”
Because we want to be known as a praying church, but we want our prayers to be effective.
Because we want to be known as a praying church, but we want our prayers to be effective.
It’s critical for the believer to be able to discern between the truth that comes from the Spirit of God and the lies that come from other spirits. Tonight we talk about the ability to discern false teachers.
When Paul said “so stand fast in the Lord” he was calling for the church to continue battling for the mind.
The only truly valuable thing you possess is your soul and it is the great prize in a great cosmic war.
Many times the battlefield that seems to be raging all around us is, in reality, only in our mind, not in our circumstances.
Tonight, we take a look at another life in the Word of God that faced a battle before the battle.
This battle is the battle for your mind, and that battle is vicious. It is intense. It is unrelenting.
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
In the first message Jesus would preach, the first thing He ever would say was that He wanted people to be happy. He didn't come into this world to make people miserable. He came to make them happy.
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
Through the Beatitudes, Jesus gave us a roadmap on how to live out a blessed life.
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
What is peace? What will hinder peace for existing? And lastly why does peace matter both to you and the world at large?
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
There are those truths in the Word of God that are simply so foundational that we just grab onto them and hold on with dear life.
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
In the 5th of the Beatitudes, Matthew presents Jesus Christ as King and here we hear the King present the manifesto of His Kingdom.
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
We are studying the direct teaching of Jesus Christ and the first great sermon our Lord gives in the New Testament.
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
Jesus' words here will outline the basic principles of life in the Kingdom of God. In a very real sense it might be considered the constitution for the Kingdom of God. Matthew 5:5
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
SERMON NOTES: The Beatitude Sermon Notes
In the very first sermon ever recorded as having been preached by Jesus Christ, as we enter into the gospels the first time we meet a sermon of our Lord, it is a sermon that begins with the constant ringing theme of happiness.

We have trusted him with our salvation, our eternal soul, now it is time to trust him with our earthly lives.
Jesus gives advice on dealing with worry; If you are now worrying, stop. If you are thinking you're gonna worry, don’t start. And just generally, don’t worry, don’t be anxious.
The Lord's Prayer is a teaching moment and a teaching prayer. In this prayer, the Lord gives us a model for our prayers that is without equal in the Bible.
We continue to look at what can be called the Mount Everest of prayers. We must remember that the Lord is presenting here the pattern and process for our praying.
Faith lets us to see what others cannot see and makes us eyewitness to things others can’t even imagine!
As I have reflected upon the great turbulence all around us, I have reached this conclusion: deep repentance and earnest prayer are our only hope.
I am sensing in my spirit a change in the atmosphere that only comes when you are close to a breakthrough.
Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
God Himself has chosen things we see as foolish to humiliate the wise, the smug and the arrogant.
The gift of tongues is a gift from God. We must not allow ourselves to see this beautiful gift in ways God never intended.
If those who walked with Jesus, seen His miracles, witnessed His death, burial and resurrection and saw Him ascend into heaven…needed something more to thrive and minister, so do we.
“We don't need bigger churches or more Christian TV or more sophisticated religious methods! We need more Holy Ghost-baptized saints.” – David Wilkerson
It is a visible declaration on the part of Jesus that He has come to save people from every tongue and tribe and nation. It is a testimony that salvation is for all who would believe.
The command to “Go” was never meant to be exclusively to pastors or evangelists but to believers - all believers.
The curse is all we’ve ever known. It will stretch us to embrace what it will be like to live in a curse-free world.
The river winds its way all over New Jerusalem and the Tree of Life seems to be everywhere, too.
Heaven has been talked about, sung about, dreamed about and longed for more than other destination.
Welcome to 2020. We are about to embark up on a spiritual journey together - not so much a physical Journey, but a spiritual one. Come along.
The new heaven and the new earth are forever new! Every day a new discovery, every moment a revelation, every kiss a first kiss, every dance a first dance!
There is a day coming when every believer will stand before Jesus and give an account for his life and his deeds, "...the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work."
Do you believe that at any moment Jesus could, “descend from heaven with a shout” to catch away His church?
The seven-year-long marriage Supper of the Lamb is just the beginning of eternal, personal fellowship with God, the hosts of heaven and the saints of all ages.
Heaven and earth, the supernatural and the natural; mortals and immortality living and working together.
On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.
There is something heading our way that's better and sweeter and more beautiful than anything we could dream possible.
Tonight we will explore the spirit of the Antichrist that is fully embodied in this future city which Scriptures call ‘Mystery Babylon’.
From our study of Revelation 17:8 last week, we learned this world is headed toward a one world religion.
This section of scripture describes the worldwide religious system and that everyone will bow down to, this system is called in verse 5 “MYSTERY, BABYLON”
Revelation foretells of the unfolding the judgment of Christ as He takes back the universe which has been in the hands of Satan himself.
It's time for the hallelujah chorus to be sung. Jesus Christ is about to return to set up His glorious and eternal kingdom.
How do we ever hope to know what’s false and deceptive if we have no understanding of what is true and authentic.
Don't fall asleep now. I'm coming like a thief. I'm coming in a moment, so… don't give up now.
People who dismiss the bible and embrace man-made philosophies and ideas are making a deadly choice.
Few things are more troubling than passionless preachers and passionless Christians willing to settle for anything.
When gathering the harvest, if you miss the moment, all you have left is waste. Rottenness. Garbage.
There's much unnecessary preaching because people will not obey what they have already heard.
God will keep those who are his. There are some of you who need to know this right now more than anything else in the world.
Surely there has never been and there never will be anything to equal 144,000 completely committed Christian men. Tonight we look at what made them mighty.
Revelation Chapter 14 tonight we explore the characteristics that will sustain the 144,000.
In this lesson we will meet the last and the greatest of the false prophets and he is a beast
Throughout the ages, Satan has been possessing men and using them to bring about his own will. It is not new but, it’s escalating.
You will overcome by the blood and nothing else. No carnal weapons, no human gifts are ever effective in overcoming.
Since the fall of an angel named Lucifer, the son of the morning, there has been an ongoing war between Him and his demons and Jehovah God and His holy angels.
We are living epistles – being watched and read by a world that doesn’t know the times or the seasons.
What strikes me most in Revelation 11 is the irrevocable nature of the promises of God.
It is up to us to let them know about the sweet, and let them know about the bitter, too.
The "Seven Spirits of God". John describes the scene around the throne. One of the details discussed is the seven Spirits of God.
With the sounding of the fifth trumpet, humanity becomes the object of the wrath of God.
A lot of people find it impossible to believe that any of this could actually take place.
When we think of the great tribulation, we think of a time of unbearable judgment and wrath without relief, but it will also be a time of redemption
The reason our kids don't want to go church and the reason they don’t take church seriously is because they’ve been watching us, waiting for us to grow up and become mighty men and women of God.
The breaking of the second seal will plunge humanity into global war and a period of unthinkable destruction.
The great tribulation will begin with worldwide peace negotiated by a crown-wearing man on a white horse who thinks he is god.
Four creatures sing with beautiful harmony in a place with perfect acoustics the same song - forever. Would you like to hear it?
The things John wrote are not just interesting, they must come to pass. God has decreed it.
The message to the church at Laodicea is a warning to the complacent church of our day.
This is a message to the church at Philadelphia ought to inspire every caring pastor to lead his church to keep His word, to persevere, and to become and remain a faithful church.
The One who opens doors is here and He has opened a door for you that no one can close. Walk through it.
“Well, at least we're not as dead as the church across the street. Exactly how do you measure deadness?”
Want to know how to get on God’s bad side? Misrepresent Him. Tell people He said one thing when He actually said something else.
Should the church remain silent, display tolerance, in the face of compromise? Some people think so.
Before you become an overcomer you will run with patience, endure hardship like a soldier, quench fiery darts, resist the devil, and face persecution – like the believers at Smyrna.
This series is a year-long study of one of the most fascinating books in the entire Bible; The Book of Revelation
The soul that never gets beyond duty to delight in prayer and the Word of God will descend into unfruitfulness.
Learning how to get God’s promises God’s way is the only hope for us, our families and our world. Every other effort is futile.
The priority of fasting. In Christ, fasting is not simply a Godward expression of our need. It is not simply an admission that we are not full. Fasting is a statement in the very midst of our need that we are not empty.
We explore the thought of the effective fast. If we are going to put the effort in, the effort shouldn't be wasted. We shouldn't fast in vain. We want a fast first and foremost that honors God. We desire a fast that grows us, as individuals, as families, and as a church. We most definitely want a fast that moves God.
Prayer, when paired with fasting, has its full and perfect effect. In prayer, we grasp the Invisible while in fasting, we let go of the seeable.
When we fail to obey in the ordinances of Baptism and Communion, we have failed at the most fundamental level.
The responsibility of the church of this age is great and we cannot do it without the power of Pentecost.
Did Jesus leave the church powerless as some have said? Was Pentecost and the power that accompanied it just for the Apostles? In this lesson, we will discuss the Holy Spirit Baptism.
Tonight the divine gift of Justification. Justification is the realization that God's righteousness could become our righteousness. That the sinner's righteousness, could become as God's righteousness.
How am I to obtain eternal life? So for the answer to the most important question ever asked, we will turn to the greatest evangelist of all evangelists, the Lord Jesus Christ.
So, why do you worry? Birds don’t worry. Day after day, storm after storm, season after season, birds trust and God provides.
God asks the question, "What are you doing here?" Finding direction during hard moments.
When God came to the Garden of Eden that day, He came on business and with a question for Adam and Eve, "Who told you?
What do you think? Is the church of our age “a sleeping giant,” disengaged, unresponsive and unaware of the hour.
What is God teaching you in the pain of grief? What is God allowing in your life to bring you to your knees?
This is the great issue in the world today. It affects everybody, everywhere, without exception. If the soul is lost, the whole person is lost.
God asked Adam and He is asking us today, “Where are you?” This is not a question of geography but of destiny. Ponder deeply. Answer well.
A preacher’s words can be weapons of destruction or seeds of life and hope. Be careful.
We continue our series 'The Power of Preaching' with just two verses from a letter written by Paul to his son in the faith Titus. It’s a very brief but very important epistle.
The Proclamation. The first service and the first sermon took place in Jerusalem, unhindered and untainted by Hell or by godless men. Satan never saw it coming.
Lets look at the power of preaching from the perspective of the first sermon of the newly birthed church which operated through the power packed preaching of Pentecost.
Worship is the great theme that runs from Genesis through the end of Revelation. God created all of the creatures that He ever created to worship Him.
There’s nothing more important in the life of any individual than their life being inclined toward worshiping God.
There’s nothing more important in the life of any individual than their life being inclined toward worshiping God.
Who you worship and what you worship and how you worship will determine and reflect your destiny.
Worship Him in the sanctuary with your lips of praise and don’t neglect to do good when the opportunity to do good presents itself.
In our most recent "Hot Seat," Pastor Tolle and Pastor MJ discuss questions posed by our congregation. Specifically, they will address questions about prayer and healing, and when should the elders of the church hand over responsibility to the younger generation.
True worship begins in the heart. You can clap your hands, wave your flags, dance a holy dance and attend every church service in town… but it is all in vain if your heart is not in it.
If we are to create a culture of worship, it would seem important to define what worship is, and of course what worship is not.
Can you imagine a church brimming with words of encouragement, expressions of hope, talk of achievement, expectations of overcoming?
Do you realize that when you leave this earth there are only two destinations: heaven and hell. You will go to one or the other.
In our time together this evening, we will continue to ask, “What will it be like in heaven?”
In tonight's message, we are going to try and imagine the unimaginable, what conditions will we experience in heaven.
We are going to lift the veil and catch a glimpse of a place called heaven. I hope you are ready for a wonderful, thrilling discovery.
The 21st and 22nd chapters of Revelation tell us about what the Bible calls the new heaven and the new earth, the eternal state. Tonight, we take another look at the city whose builder and maker is God.
If you will but read the list of no-mores and no-longers from the City called New Jerusalem, you will want to go today!
When you say the word 'Heaven' it's both a loan word and a loaded word. We borrowed it from the bible, but we loaded it with our own meanings, meanings which at times prevent the biblical perspective from being heard.
Revival is more than a Sunday or even a series of services. When you pray for revival, you’re asking God for life-shaking experiences that will cost you plenty.
God is not waiting for the world to clean up its act. He is waiting on the church and it seems that we are entirely content to keep Him waiting.
What if our failure to obtain victory is a failure of expectation What if we are getting from God exactly what we expect?
I suppose that every carpenter who worked on the ark with Noah believed the boat would float but, when the rain came, they were not inside.
A real move of the Holy Spirit shakes foundations, crushes strongholds, breaks chains and opens doors that have been locked for centuries.
The best part of prayer and fasting is this: more than changing any circumstance in our lives, it changes us.
Fruit of the Spirit is not a cosmetic make over where we all wear Christian clothes and say Christian phrases.
How do we bear the public fruit of love and how do we live in a way that will visibly honor God?
Are you waiting for a miracle and doing nothing to prepare for its arrival. Learn to ride and God will give you a horse!
"The weight of waiting." All waiting is not equal, so what are we to do when we grow weary while waiting for God to respond to our petitions?
God will not always deliver us from suffering, but rather will help us through the suffering to help us grow. It builds strength and character and leads us to witness.
During today's Hot Seat teaching, Pastors Mitchell and MJ Tolle will address two main topics: The role of women preachers and teachers in the church of our day, and how do we deal with the supposed fossil testimony that is used in support of prehistoric man and the theory of evolution?
You may be wondering, “But how can I ever manage to live for Him?” By calling on Him continually. That’s what a Christian is to do.
Satan wants your faith to fail. He doesn’t want to merely interrupt the flow of blessings God has planned for you – he wants you eternally defeated, separated from God forever.
Faith is the unseen gift of God that causes hope to rise up in us when everything seems hopeless.
Jesus was so real and so precious to John the beloved that being in His presence was more important to him than life itself.
“Seeing” Jesus Christ is the most important “seeing” you will ever do – not with the eyes of your head, but the eyes of your heart.
Pursuing the presence of God and His holiness, welcoming an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and being about Kingdom revival.
The presence of God ought to be the pursuit of every believer. Leonard Rayhill said, “You can have all your doctrines right and still not have the presence of God.”
When God calls us in to one thing, He is most always calling us out of something else. One certain way to miss His presence is to cling to the wrong things.
All that we are and all that we have and all that we hope to be can be summed up in this: to God be the glory!
To be in the presence of God is to be near Him. The Hebrew word for presence actually means “to be face-to- face” with God. At Peniel Jacob said, “I have seen God face-to- face and yet my life has been delivered.”
So, what does it mean to be in the presence of God now that Jesus has ascended and the ark of the covenant has long since vanished from the earth? It is time to rediscover what James meant when he wrote, “ Draw near to God.”
Our adversary, the Devil, wants to withstand against any good thing God sets out to do in our lives, but God has given us spiritual weapons to equip us to fight against and defeat the wiles of the enemy.
When we ask, “Where are the signs and wonders in the church today?” we must look inward. How do you respond to trial and affliction or when God seems to be silent? God often responds to our response.
In light of the recent celebration of Pentecost Sunday and the gifts of the Spirit that accompanied that outpouring, it is reasonable to ask, “Does God still heal as He did in the old and New Testaments – or has He changed?”
Today we will dive deeper into the meaning of Matthew 11:12 where it says "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force."
How could we, as a body of Christ, be violent in taking down the strongholds in our lives?
There are only two Kingdoms. The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Satan. We often never think of these but think of our situation somewhere in the middle. But there is no middle, we are either in one or the other but never in the middle.
When expectation conflicts with reality. Staying focused on the Lord during the storms of life.
Pastor Tolle and Pastor MJ answer your questions with insight straight from the Word of God. Today's questions include: "Do you believe that one must speak in tongues in order to be saved?" "What is the biblical sign of salvation – tongues-speaking or the fruit of the Spirit?" "Are spontaneous baptisms biblical?" "Is there a minimum age one must be in order to be baptized, and what is the age of accountability?" "Churches everywhere have different ways of serving communion. Here, we have open communion. Why is that?"
Jesus Christ is not coming back for a mess. He is coming back for a glorious, spotless, faithful church!
To think about the series of events from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday is to remember and reflect upon the greatest events in all of human history.
"The Parable of Faithfulness." God expects us to be faithful; it is one of the fruits of the Spirit.
There are only 2 out of 7 of the churches in Revelation that was commended. The Thessalonica Church was one that Paul wrote that he was proud of them. It was an amazingly faithful church that brought joy.
To be faithful is to live each day as though today is the day you will see Jesus face to face.
No church can aspire to do good work without faithful men and women who show up ready to do something.
Prayer is not a matter of taste or preference. It is the essential culmination of everything in Ephesians 6.
"If you question the accuracy or the integrity of scripture, if you wonder whether or not God wrote scripture, you will be reluctant to use the sword of the spirit."
In order to “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might," you’ll need the aid and power of the Holy Spirit. You can't do it alone. Being strong in the Lord requires the strength of the Lord. Dress each day in the whole armor of God.
Pastor Tolle and Pastor MJ discuss the Holy Spirit, answering questions such as: ""What is the baptism with the Holy Spirit?", "Should we be able to speak with tongues on demand?", and "What is the difference between the gifts and the fruit of the Spirit?"
"Taking Faith" is not the possession of faith. It is faith that empowers you to "take back."
Pastor Tolle and Pastor MJ discuss the meaning behind Christmas, answering questions such as: "Is December 25th Jesus' actual birthday?", "What about Christmas trees?", and "Should Christians celebrate Christmas at all?"
What we need today is a building-shaking outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Not because our church is so bad but because the need around us is so great and we simply cannot get it done without Him.
Before you do anything, somebody has got to pray. Prayer is the priority of the church. Prayer is the priority for Jesus. Intercessory prayer is the job of the church.
We must never give up the necessary task of helping people connect to the church and grow in Christ.
We must never give up the necessary task of helping people connect to the church and grow in Christ.
Suffering is used for good. Jesus covered his part of unjust suffering on the cross so we will have to endure unjust suffering as well.
Don't let the distractions of living derail you from what you were called to accomplish.
Now is the time for the church to hear the Holy Spirit as it was at pentecost. Where sin abounds, grace abounds more abundantly.
The Holy Spirit is a real person that helps before salvation and after salvation. Specifically today we will talk about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.
What do we do when circumstances bring you us to our wit’s end and things appear to be out of control. What do you do when you get the news... the bad report?
If you are a believer, the Bible describes you as always victorious. Do you believe that is true?
I know that you are aware... but there is so much sickness and pain all around us and we are affected. I go to hospitals and find them full, often without a place to put the hurting. On the other hand, as we go through the pages of scripture, we see Jesus healing all manner of disease.
There is a battle raging for your heart and soul and not just yours alone. But, there is hope.
Those who hear and heed the word of God will find their faith is ignited and empowered.
A deeply personal letter about the transition of the church. A letter of truth, pride, and kindness. A letter that we need each other.
Can we know what is of God and what is not? As we observe what is going on around us, we are to test, evaluate and establish the truth of a matter. Each of us who know Christ and have a basic understanding of the New Testament are already equipped with a “false prophet detector” – discernment.
Pastor Tolle and Pastor MJ discuss the celebrations of Christmas and Easter. What does the scripture say? Can we tithe when the spouse of non-belief disagrees? What does the scripture say? Are believers required to tithe?
Pastor Tolle and Pastor MJ speak about the difficult questions asked by the congregation.
Pastor Tolle and Pastor MJ answer the question "What happens to Believers when they die?"
