This podcast seeks to separate the truth from propaganda in the field of natural sciences and human health. Our guest today, back by popular demand is Dr. Mark Sherwood. Dr. Sherwood was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in nearby Berryhill. He is a former Oklahoma state and regional bodybuilding champion, and ex-professional baseball player.
Dr. Sherwood is a certified Naturopathic Doctor and together with his wife Dr. Michele Neil-Sherwood, a Doctor of Osteopathy, founded the Functional Medical Institute, a full-time wellness-based medical practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Sherwood is also a 24-year retired veteran of the Tulsa Police Department, where he logged a decade of courageous service on the department’s SWAT Team. During his tenure there, he exemplified the concept of being the FIRST one to go through the door and face whatever challenge was on the other side.
At the Functional Medical Institute Dr. Sherwood and his wife have adopted a whole-person approach, which is outcome-based and looks at each individual’s unique needs. Their goal is to lead people down a pathway of true healing, by first, eradicating all self-imposed, choice-driven disease conditions. And second, to eliminate the usage of unnecessary medications.

Today we will examine another poster child of the alarmist movement, the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.
Joining us is Dr. Peter Ridd, PhD. Dr. Ridd obtained his doctoral degree in Physics from James Cook University in 1980, and is a former Professor and Head of Physics. Dr. Ridd’s focus while at James Cook was coastal oceanography, the effects of sedimentation on coral reefs, instrument development, geophysical sensing of the earth, past and future climates, and atmospheric modelling. He developed a series of specialist instrumentation for measuring various aspects of water quality, with the profits used to fund student scholarships and research projects.
Dr. Ridd has published more than 100 scientific papers in international science journals and supervised many successful PhD students. His most recent book is “Reef Heresy: Science, Research and the Great Barrier Reef”.
When warming alarmists grossly misled people about the status of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, Dr. Ridd spoke up. He wrote an opinion piece in the Jan 2018 issue of the Marine Pollution Bulletin which challenged the prevailing propaganda related to the condition of the Great Barrier Reef. The essay drew attention to what Dr. Ridd argued was a “reproducibility crisis” and also to the validity of specific papers on the topic. As a result, Dr. Ridd’s employer, James Cook University, took a number of disciplinary measures against him, and ultimately after a lengthy court battle he was dismissed.
Following the conclusion of his legal battle with James Cook University in 2021, Dr Ridd has accepted an invitation to join the Institute of Public Affairs as an Adjunct Fellow, without salary, to lead a newly established Project for Real Science. The Project’s aims are to improve science quality assurance, build on the IPA’s existing research programs, and to support academics speaking out for integrity in science and research.

In today’s program I present what I hope to be the final episode of the show covering the the covid-19 scamdemic. Today we welcome back our friend and conspiracy analyst Vincent Gircys to have a frank and realistic discussion about the events which have taken place in Canada over the last 2 years.

Today on the program we welcome back a regular contributor, Dr. Stephanie Seneff, a Senior Research Scientist at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Ms. Dennett was born in Beirut, Lebanon, where her mother worked as an English teacher, and her father Daniel Dennett, worked as an intelligence officer for the Central Intelligence Group—the predecessor to the CIA. In 1947 Mr. Dennett was tragically killed in a suspicious plane crash that up until today remains clouded in mystery and official silence.
Though she grew up in Massachusetts, Ms. Dennett later returned to Lebanon with her mother and completed her last two years of high school in Beirut. She returned to the U.S. to get her BA at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass, and went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Art History at Post Pius XII Institute in Florence, Italy. She then returned to Beirut and became a journalist, first as a roving correspondent with the weekly English language feature magazine, The Middle East Sketch, and later as a reporter for the Beirut Daily Star. Her journalistic work took her beyond Lebanon to Syria, Jordan, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Dubai, Kuwait, and Oman and she became fascinated with the impact of modernization on women’s lives in those countries.

Dr. Kory is the former Chief of the Critical Care Service and Medical Director of the Trauma and Life Support Center at the University of Wisconsin. He held these positions until he resigned over an ongoing dispute over patient care related to covid-19 infections. Witnessing the level of corruption within the mainstream field of medicine and the utter lack of real patient care during the covid era, Dr. Kory together with other notable and caring physicians formed the Front Line covid-19 Critical Care Alliance, where he presently serves as President and Chief Medical Officer.

Prof Plimer has published more than 120 scientific papers on geology and was one of three of editors for the five-volume Encyclopedia of Geology.
With his most recent publication of the book “Green Murder” he has now published eleven books written for the general public. He frequently publishes newspaper and magazine opinion pieces as well as academic book chapters. His latest book has been a labour of love and hate unfunded by third parties. It is important to note that he has never been funded or employed by the fossil fuel or uranium industries.
The recipient of numerous awards and multiple accolades Professor Plimer has been an outspoken critic of both creationism and the supposed scientific consensus on anthropogenic climate change. He won the Leopold von Buch Plakette (German Geological Society), the Clarke Medal (Royal Society of NSW), the Sir Willis Connolly Medal (Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy). He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and an Honorary Fellow of the Geological Society of London. In 1995, he was Australian Humanist of the Year and later was awarded the Centenary Medal. He was Managing Editor of Mineralium Deposita, president of the SGA, president of IAGOD, president of the Australian Geoscience Council and sat on the Earth Sciences Committee of the Australian Research Council for many years. He won the Eureka Prize for the promotion of science, the Eureka Prize for A Short History of Planet Earth and the Michael Daley Prize (now a Eureka Prize) for science broadcasting. He was an advisor to governments and corporations and was a regular broadcaster.
It is also important to note that Professor Plimer spent much of his life in the rough and tumble of the zinc-lead-silver mining town of Broken Hill where an interdisciplinary scientific knowledge base intertwined with a healthy dose of scepticism and pragmatism are necessary for survival. He worked for North Broken Hill Ltd, was a consultant to many major mining companies and has been a director of numerous exploration public companies listed in London, Toronto and Sydney. In his post-university career he is proudly a director of a number various unlisted private Hancock Prospecting companies.

She was one of 5 esteemed graduates of a newly established interdisciplinary degree program pursing a master’s degree in Medicine with a focus on Immunology. She continued with her studies in Israel, having been invited to pursue a PhD in Computational Biology at Bar Ilan University. Since its completion, she has successfully completed two Post-Doctoral degrees in Molecular Biology, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Biochemistry, at the Technion Institute of Technology.
Dr. Rose took a break following completion of the final Post Doc in December 2019 in perfect sync with the declaration of the global ‘plandemic’. She used this an opportunity to pursue the task of teaching herself ‘R’ using the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data from the United States. Since then, she has published her findings in the journal ‘Science, Public Health Policy and the Law’ and has two other publications in peer review soon to be published – both pertaining to VAERS data. One of the manuscripts is a critical appraisal of VAERS pharmacovigilance and the other is a review of Myocarditis adverse events.
She has also since become the first recipient of the Joshua Kuntz Research Fellowship that honours the life and passing of Joshua Kuntz – is a young man who lived with the unintended adverse effects of a vaccine.

In this episode we will examine the abject lack of journalistic integrity which is now pervasive in today’s mainstream media, and further look at the role that they serve as propaganda agents for tyrannical governments. Her defiance towards her superiors and unwillingness to continue to report lies and spread propaganda to the masses has ultimately resulted in her termination as of yesterday, January 18, 2022.

Two weeks ago he was informed that he would be facing punitive administrative action for not complying with the Chief of Defence staff order for all members to get their useless and dangerous covid-19 vaccination.
Last Saturday he was summoned to his regimental head quarters to sign a recorded warning which will be used to justify his release which will be categorized as 5f. To make it clear this is the equivalent of a dishonorable discharge.

He joined the Canadian army in the mid 90's as an infantryman where he initially served in the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry and The Royal Canadian Regiments. Joining us today is Professor Fritz Vahrenholt. Prof Vahrenholt holds a PhD in chemistry and has been an Honorary Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Hamburg since 2009. Since 1969 he has been a member of the Social Democratic Party, where from 1976 until 1997 he served in various public positions with environmental agencies such as the Federal Environment Agency, the Hessian Ministry of Environment and as Deputy Environment Minister and Senator of the City of Hamburg. Dr. Vahrenholt is also one of the founders of the environmental movement in Germany
From 1998 until 2000 he was a board member of Deutsche Shell, responsible for renewables. In 2001, he founded the wind energy company REpower and was CEO of RWE’s renewable energy division, Innogy, one of Europe’s largest renewable energy companies.
Dr. Vahrenholt is a co-author of Die kalte Sonne (The Cold Sun), a book questioning the existence of man-made climate change which echoes some of the ideas of climate skeptics Henrik Svensmark and Nir Shaviv.
Since 2012, he has served as head of German Wildlife Foundation which among other deeds, argues that wind power threatens biodiversity and harms wildlife. Dr. Vahrenholt is also a member of the GWPF’s Academic Advisory Council.
In today’s program we present what will be one of the final covid focused episodes. In this episode we will be examining the largely unreported and very disturbing rate of stillborns being delivered to mRNA vaccinated mothers. In mid November 2021 Dr. Bruchet held a press conference in North Vancouver to expose the alarming rate of stillborns being delivered to Vaccinated mothers. He also requested that the RCMP launch a criminal investigation into the actions of government officials. For his efforts to inform his fellow man, the criminal enterprise known as the British Columbia provincial government had him arrested and deposited into the psychiatric ward where he spent nearly a month.
I ask that listeners hear what Dr. Mel has to say, and decide for yourself whether his treatment was warranted or a massive over reach of authority akin to Soviet KGB tactics.

His present research program is focused on improving healthcare via the development of treatment efficacy and risk biomarkers, optimizing clinical interventions after adverse events, and understanding the neurological and immunological basis of vaccine injuries.
In 2014 Dr. Lyons-Weiler founded the Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge to conduct biomedical and translational research in the public interest and IPAK-EDU LLC to bring foundational educational opportunities to the public. Presently he is the CEO/Director/Chief Scientist at IPAK.

Today we welcome Bob Hooton back to the program. Bob is a retired fisheries scientist who dedicated 37 years of his life to fisheries management in British Columbia, focusing primarily on Steelhead conservation. His long career included a 13 year tenure at the head of the fisheries section in Smithers over-seeing the Skeena region, and his final 9 years of service were spent at the head of the Fish and Wildlife Section for the Vancouver Island Region.
Following his retirement Bob authored two books covering the history of Steelhead management in BC. The first was entitled “Skeena Steelhead - Unknown Past, Uncertain Future”, and the second book was published to complete the saga with specific reference to a dozen of BC’s premiere Steelhead streams entitled “Days of Rivers Past”. I believe that Bob has a third book on the way covering the mighty Thompson River.
To this day, Bob continues to spread the wild steelhead conservation gospel to anyone that will listen, and actively blogs on his website steelheadvoices.com.

As a highly trained forensic crash scene investigator, well versed in taking notes of the evidence, anomalies, and their causation, his skill set has now been personally redeployed to serve a new purpose in his retirement. On the program today we welcome back Dr. Stephanie Seneff, a Senior Research Scientist at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Dr Seneff received her BSc degree in Biophysics, an MSc and Electrical Engineering degree , and a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science all from MIT.
For over three decades, her research interests have always been at the intersection of biology and computation. She has published over 170 refereed articles, and has been invited to give keynote speeches at several international conferences.
For the last 12 years she has worked to try and understand the role of toxic chemicals in the deterioration of human health. Dr. Seneff has published over two dozen papers in various medical and health-related journals on topics such as modern day diseases (e.g., Alzheimer, autism, cardiovascular diseases), and the impact of nutritional deficiencies and environmental toxins on human health.

Today we are very fortunate to host a fellow Canadian and great scholar on the program, Dr. Christopher Essex. Dr. Essex is Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Applied Mathematics at The University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Essex is well known for his pioneering work on the thermodynamics of photon and neutrino radiation. His work also includes applications of dynamical systems theory, such as chaos cryptography, and recently, the limits of modelling and computation, among other applications of mathematics. Aside being denounced in Canada's Parliament as a "denier of climate science", Professor Essex has a blessing from the Vatican, and his work has been cited on the floor of the US Senate. Both Leslie Woods and the renowned Princeton physicist and futurist Freeman Dyson have personally instructed Dr. Essex in the much-misunderstood but crucial art of scientific heresy.
Professor Essex is also co-discoverer of the entropy production paradox of anomalous super-diusion. While a guest of the Vatican, he also discovered, modern mathematics (Sierpinski triangles) embedded in the ancient door tiles of the Vatican museum.

The host of the MARTINZ Critical Review was invited to appear as a guest on the Carlson Angle podcast for yet another intriguing discussion. In this episode we detail the illegal measures put in place by the Canadian government at Canadian airports to deter Canadian citizens from exercising their constitutional rights laid out in Section 6 of the Charter enshrining freedom of movement in and out, and withing the country. Today's events took place at the Calgary International Airport.
This episode provides a detailed step-by-step guide for Canadians as to what to expect upon re-entry after traveling abroad. As you will hear the CBSA officer immediately accept the Charter invocation without hesitation. This leads me to believe that this organization is concerned about the legality of these illegal orders and do not want to face future consequences of enforcing unconstitutional measures. The Health Canada official is another matter entirely, and proves that this organization is corrupt from the top to the bottom. You will hear this wanna-be-despot inform the traveler that he is noting his behaviour on file as "very aggressive", and then quickly recants this position when he realizes that he is being filmed. Judge for yourself if this comment is warranted. This is a clear example of KGB tactics and shows how far Canada has fallen from its once great position in the world as a bastion of freedom. Sheep are compliant, Lions are assertive!
This traveler was threatened with fines and follow up enforcement actions. Nothing came of these empty threats! Zero!

Today we are very fortunate to have Dr Cornelis van Kooten from the University of Victoria joining us today. Presently he holds the position of Professor of Economics and Canada Research Chair in Environmental Studies and Climate in the Department of Economics. Dr. Kooten received his Ph.D. in agricultural and resource economics from Oregon State University in 1982.
Subsequently he has been an assistant and associate professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Saskatchewan; an associate professor in the School of Management at Groningen University in the Netherlands; an associate and full professor in the Departments of Agricultural Economics and Forest Resources Management, and Chair of Agricultural Economics, at the University of British Columbia; and a professor and Chair of the Department of Applied Economics and Statistics at the University of Nevada.
Dr. van Kooten has over 30 years of experience with interests that range from agricultural and forest economics to development, computational and energy economics. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and some 40 book chapters; he is the author or co-author of five books on land and forest economics, and co-editor of three books.
His book with Erwin H. Bulte entitled The Economics of Nature (Blackwell, 2000) is considered a classic reference book for researchers in the field of wildlife and public land economics. And his 1995 paper in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics on the uptake of carbon in forest ecosystems is the standard reference for work in the field of terrestrial carbon offsets.
Dr. van Kooten has been a consultant to various governments and government agencies, the United Nations, the World Bank, the European Union, and a variety of non-governmental organizations, including the International Fund for Animal Welfare and the WWF. His numerous graduate students have gone on to work in the private sector, academia and government. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society (2012) and was awarded its Publication of Enduring Quality Award in 2011; in 2014, he won the Faculty of Social Sciences’ Research Excellence Award.

In today’s episode we return to the roots of the podcast and focus our attention on conservation issues directed towards the Russian Far East, and the waterways surrounding the Sea of Okhotsk. In this episode we will explore the salmonid populations of the area, Hucho taxmen in particular, and examine some successful major conservation initiatives.
We are very fortunate today to be able to host Dr. Mikhail Skopets, a prominent Russian fisheries scientist and the godfather of fly fishing in Russia’s Far East.
Dr. Skopets was born in the Ural Mountain region in a town called Ekaterinburg, in the former USSR. From 1977 onwards he has been living in the Russian Far East, in the in the city of Khabarovsk on the shores of the Amur River.
Dr. Skopets is an adventurous fisheries biologist with nearly 40 years’ field experience in Russia. During his numerous expeditions he was able to find four new species, two of them belonging to new genus, including one new salmonid (a char) discovered in a meteor crater in Siberia. For Dr. Skopets catching a fish that is completely new, one that has never even been described by anyone, there simply is no better thrill. Many fly fisherman talk about the excitement of the catch, but for Dr. Skopets it is the discovery!
From 1994 thru 2005 Dr Skopets worked with the Wild Salmon Center based in Oregon, USA. One of his most valuable contributions to conservation efforts over the years was his rapid scientific assessments of rivers in the Russian Far East, which laid the groundwork for future protected areas in the region.
Since he left the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2007, Mikhail has been working independently as a scientist and expedition/fishing guide. He is also a photographer and writer, regularly contributing to publications such as Fly Fishing Magazine and is currently working on a new book: “Fly Fishing Russia. The Far East“. He continues to work with fly-fishermen, collaborate with sport-fishing clubs of the Russian Far East, and takes part in casting and fly-tying training programs.

In today’s episode we welcome Pastor Artur Pawlowksi to the program. Artur was born in Poland during the soviet communist regime. Eventually he and his family fled that tyrannical dictatorship and immigrated to Canada. Artur is the founder and pastor of Street Church Ministries, where he engages in open-air preaching and Christian street outreach, including feeding the homeless.
The Calgary Police, and the Alberta Health Services have persecuted Artur with their continued unlawful and unconstitutional covid-19 measures related to places of worship. In a video which has now gone viral, Pastor Pawlowski can be seen demanding that police officers and health officials leave his church immediately as they enter his church and disrupt Passover celebrations. This event reminded Artur of his youth, and the many abuses suffered by the Polish people at the hands of the corrupt police there.
That video seriously embarrassed the Alberta Health Services, and the Calgary police on an international scale. They have responded in force by issuing a secret warrant using undisclosed evidence. This warrant allows a health inspector to enter church without notice to disrupt the sanctity of his church, and should he refuse, he will be taken before a judge, using any force necessary, and tossed in jail for contempt.
Artur is loudly sounding the alarm for all Canadians, imploring them to push back against this evil tyranny before it is too late. His message to all Canadians is that lions should never bow before the hyenas.

We are very fortunate to have Dr. William Happer on the program today. Dr. Happer earned a BSc in Physics from the University of North Carolina in 1960, and a PhD degree in physics from Princeton University in 1964. That same year he began his academic career in the Columbia University Physics Department, and in 1980, he joined the faculty of Princeton University.
Dr Happer is a physicist who specializes in the study of atomic physics, optics and spec.tros.copy and has published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers. In what has become a trademark in all of his research, Dr Happer combines experimental measurements with the development of rigorous theoretical models and simple intuitive explanations. Dr. Happer has earned numerous awards beginning with the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship in 1966, the Alexander von Humboldt Award in 1976, the 1997 Broida Prize, the 1999 Davisson-Germer Prize of the American Physical Society, and most recently the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award in 2000.
From 1991-1993, Dr Happer was Director of Energy Research at the U.S. Department of Energy, overseeing a research budget of $3 billion. Returning to Princeton after his time at the DOE, he served as the Eugene Higgens Professor of Physics and Chair of the University research board from 1995-2005. From 2003 until his retirement in 2014, he held the Cyrus Fogg Brackett Chair of Physics.

Joining us today is a very accomplished Canadian engineer and businessman, with a successful track record of operations spanning across 6 continents. Mr. Allan MacRae is a true Canadian; with his ancestors having fought and died for this country in every conflict since the War of 1812.
Over the span of his career Mr. MacRae has been involved at senior a level within the petroleum sector, and he has witnessed first hand the corruption of climate science at the hands of the leftist communists. Mr. MacRae is also a dedicated humanitarian having been involved with housing the homeless in Calgary for over a decade. During his volunteer tenure on the board of directors at the Calgary Drop-in and Rehab Centre the facility grew from 600 funded shelter beds to over 1200, and provided 1.2 million free meals per year. This facility is now the largest such organization in Canada.
In 2016 Mr. MacRae was also responsible for averting a major disaster in SE Calgary. He was made aware of unsafe operating conditions at a sour gas plant known as the Mazeppa project. If the cost cutting measures at the plant had resulted in a pipeline rupture, as many as 300,000 people could have been killed or seriously injured from the neurotoxin hydrogen sulphide. Mr. MacRae alerted the Alberta Energy Regulator which quickly confirmed the potential problem and immediately shut down the facility and averted a disaster.

Dr. Soon is an astrophysicist at the Solar, Stellar and Planetary Sciences Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, a position he has held since 1997. He has served as receiving editor for New Astronomy from 2002-2016, the contributing editor for Environment & Climate News from 1997 to 2000, and as an astronomer at the Mount Wilson Observatory from 1992-2009. He is also a policy advisor to The Heartland Institute.
His discoveries challenge computer modellers and advocates who consistently underestimate solar influences on cloud formation, ocean currents, and wind that cause climate to change. He has faced and risen above unethical and often libelous attacks on his research and his character, becoming one of the world's most respected and influential voices for climate realism.
Dr Soon has earned numerous awards during his career, and has been a prolific author of scientific literature. Dr. Soon's honors include a 1989 IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Graduate Scholastic Award and a Rockwell Dennis Hunt Scholastic Award from the University of Southern California for the most representative Ph.D. research thesis of 1991.
In 2003, Dr. Soon received the Smithsonian Institution (Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory) Award in official recognition of work performance reflecting a high standard of accomplishment. In 2004, Soon received the Petr Beckmann award for courage and achievement in defense of scientific truth and freedom from the Doctors for Disaster Preparedness. In 2014, Dr. Soon received the Courage in Defense of Science Award from the George Marshall Institute. In 2017 he received the Frederick Seitz Memorial Award from the Science and Environmental Policy Project.
Dr. Soon is the author of The Maunder Minimum and the Variable Sun-Earth Connection (World Scientific Publishing Company, 2004). He is the coauthor, with Sebastian Lüning, of "Chapter 2: Solar Forcing of Climate" in Climate Change Reconsidered II: Physical Science; the author of "Sun Shunned" in Climate Change: The Facts 2014; and coauthor, with S. Today we are very fortunate to have Professor Richard Lindzen on the program, one of the most preeminent climate scientists on Earth. Dr. Lindzen received his PhD in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 1964, and from 1983 until his retirement in 2013 he was the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he presently maintains Professor Emeritus status.
Dr Lindzen is a dynamical meteorologist with interests in the broad topics of climate, planetary waves, monsoon meteorology, planetary atmospheres, and hydrodynamic instability. His research involves studies of the role of the tropics in mid-latitude weather and global heat transport, the moisture budget and its role in global change, the origins of ice ages, seasonal effects in atmospheric transport, stratospheric waves, and the observational determination of climate sensitivity.
Dr. Lindzen has developed models for the Earth's climate with specific concern for the stability of the ice caps, the sensitivity to increases in CO2, the origin of the 100,000 year cycle in glaciation, and the maintenance of regional variations in climate. Furthermore, he has made major contributions to the development of the current theory for the Hadley Circulation, and provided accepted explanations for atmospheric tides and the quasi-biennial oscillation of the tropical stratosphere. He pioneered the study of how ozone photochemistry, radiative transfer and dynamics interact with each other. He has also been developing a new approach to air-sea interaction in the tropics, and is actively involved in parameterizing the role of cumulus convection in heating and drying the atmosphere and in generating upper level cirrus clouds.
Prof. Lindzen is a recipient of the AMS's Meisinger, and Charney Awards, the AGU's Macelwane Medal, and the Leo Huss Walin Prize. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences, the American Geophysical Union and the American Meteorological Society. He is a corresponding member of the NAS Committee on Human Rights, and has been a member of the NRC Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate and the Council of the AMS. He has also been a consultant to the Global Modeling and Simulation Group at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, and a Distinguished Visiting Scientist at California Institute of Technology's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. His ongoing research is currently focused studying what determines the pole to equator temperature difference, the nonlinear equilibration of baroclinic instability and the contribution of such instabilities to global heat transport.

Joining us today is Dr Mahdi Al-Kaisi a professor of soil physics, Department of Agronomy, at Iowa State University. He received his MS and PhD in soil Physics from North Dakota State University. Professor Al-Kaisi has been on the faculty at Iowa State University since 2000, where his research focuses on the effects of cropping and tillage systems, crop residue management, cover crops, and nitrogen application on soil carbon dynamics and sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, and other ecosystem services.
In addition, he studies the interaction effects of agricultural practices and environmental factors such as, weather and landscape spatial variability on soil organic carbon sequestration and systems sustainability and productivity. The focus of his research is to develop sustainable management practices that improve soil health, productivity, and environmental services.
As a result of his research, he has developed field calculators to assess soil management practices impacts, such as, tillage systems, crop residue, and crop rotation effects on soil sustainability. Also, he developed soil carbon index for soils in Iowa. Dr. Al-Kaisi is a Fellow of the American Society of Agronomy, the Soil Science Society of American, and Soil and Water Conservation Society.

Joining us today is a dynamic husband and wife team, Steven and Kathleen Holen. Steven Holen is the Director of Research at the Center for American Paleolithic Research. He has over 50 years of archaeological experience and has worked at several museums across the Great Plains. For the past 30 years, he has focused his research on the question of how and when humans first arrived in North America. He has excavated numerous mammoth sites in the Great Plains that have evidence of humans modifying mammoth limb bones for marrow extraction and/or tool production. The evidence he has uncovered suggests that humans have been in the Great Plains for at least 30,000 to 40,000 years.
Kathleen Holen has pursued her second career in Archeology and received her MA in Archaeology with Distinction in 2009 from the University of Exeter. Her first career was as a Nurse Practitioner and she retired from that profession in 2010 to pursue archaeology. Kathleen founded the Center for American Paleolithic Research in 2012 and continues as the Administrative Director. Kathleen participated in the research of Steven Holen since their marriage in 2001. She studies prey animal bone modification and its implications for human behaviour, expedient bone tool manufacture and use, cognitive archaeology, and the archaeological importance of dog domestication.
Together they continue to investigate early human migration into the Americas and have published two book chapters that provide evidence of some of the earliest humans in North America based on their mammoth bone research. Most recently they have published an article with nine co-authors titled, “A 130,000-year-old archaeological site in southern California, USA” in the prestigious journal Nature, the leading scientific journal in the world. They continue their research with an active field program and collections-based research in museums through the Center for American Paleolithic Research

Bob is a retired fisheries scientist who dedicated 37 years of his life to fisheries management in British Columbia, focusing primarily on Steelhead conservation. His long career included a 13 year tenure at the head of the fisheries section in Smithers over-seeing the Skeena region, and his final 9 years of service were spent at the head of the Fish and Wildlife Section for the Vancouver Island Region.
Following his retirement Bob authored two books covering the history of Steelhead management in BC. The first was entitled “Skeena Steelhead - Unknown Past, Uncertain Future”, and the second book was published to complete the saga with specific reference to a dozen of BC’s premiere Steelhead streams entitled “Days of Rivers Past”. Bob has a third book on the way covering the mighty Thompson River, due to be released later in 2021.

Joining us today is a legend in the medical field, Dr. Lorraine Day, MD. Dr. Day graduated from UC San Francisco Medical School in 1969 and immediately entered orthopaedic surgery residency. She became an internationally acclaimed orthopedic trauma surgeon who was for 15 years on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine as Associate Professor and Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics. She was also Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at San Francisco General Hospital and is recognized world-wide as an AIDS expert.
In 1993, Dr. Day was diagnosed with breast cancer, biopsy proven at two major medical centers in California. She refused chemotherapy, radiation and mutilating surgery because of their destructive side effects and chose to use natural methods to rebuild her immune system and regain her health. Through her long and difficult struggle to get well, she was shocked to learn of the enormous cover-up by Organized Medicine and the pharmaceutical companies, of natural, inexpensive cancer therapies. Dr. Day was able to reverse her severe, advanced stage breast cancer by rebuilding her immune system by natural therapies, so her body could heal itself.

In today’s episode we continue our series on regenerative agriculture, why it is so important for soils, the environment, and all human life. Joining us for this episode is a legend is this field, Allan Savory. Allan's storied career started more than 60 years ago in a country no longer known by the same name. He was born in Rhodesia in 1935 and received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Botany from South Africa’s University of Natal. He pursued an early career as a research biologist and game ranger in the British Colonial Service of what was then Northern Rhodesia (today Zambia) and later as a farmer and game rancher in Zimbabwe.
During the 1960’s, Allan made a significant breakthrough in understanding what was causing the degradation and desertification of the world’s grassland ecosystems and worked with numerous managers on four continents to develop sustainable solutions.
In 2003, Allan received Australia’s International Banksia Award “for the person or organization doing the most for the environment on a global scale,” and in 2010 Savory (and the Africa Centre) received the Buckminster Fuller Institute’s Challenge award for work that has “significant potential to solve humanity’s most pressing problems.” A TED talk Savory gave in 2013 has received over 7 million views and in 2014 was voted one of the 50 most intriguing TED talks of all time.
Additionally, Allan is the author of 6 books covering aspects of Holistic Management practices, and how they can be applied to restore the Earth’s environment thru management of grassland ecosystems.

In today’s episode we continue our series on the early peopling of the Americas, this time focusing on Amazonia and the peoples that occupied and modified this region. Joining us for this episode is Dr. Mark Robinson, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter. Dr. Robinson’s research focuses on environmental archaeology, and applying interdisciplinary techniques to explore human-plant relationships. His research has particularly focused on human-environment interactions, including wood and charcoal identification to understand resource exploitation and anthropogenic impacts on the forest. He has worked extensively throughout the New World, with ongoing projects in Belize, Brazil, Bolivia, and Colombia, with contexts ranging from the peopling of the Americas during the Late Pleistocene, to the collapse of the Mayan civilisation.
In earlier research, Dr Robinson applied a novel methodology using GIS modelling, vegetation prediction, and isotope geochemistry to isolate humans from climate as the principal driver of vegetation change during the Late Holocene.
Currently, Dr. Robinson is using airborne LiDAR to document forest structure and archaeology in western Amazonia. Additionally, ongoing research in the remote Bladen Nature Reserve in Belize has uncovered some of the oldest tropical skeletons in well-defined stratigraphic sequences.

In today’s episode we continue our series on regenerative agriculture examining why it is so important for our soils, the environment, and all of human life. Joining us today is Dr. Jeff Creque, PhD. Dr. Creque earned his PhD in Rangeland Ecology from Utah State University, and is a California State Board of Forestry Certified Professional in Rangeland Management. He is an agricultural and rangeland consultant and Natural Resources Conservation Service certified nutrient management planning specialist. Dr. Creque brings thirty years of applied experience and theoretical training to the task of informing and facilitating the goals of the Marin Carbon Project.
Dr. Creque is a Director at the Carbon Cycle Institute, and the co-founder of the Marin Carbon Project, where he provides senior leadership on carbon farming and land management. Additionally, he has many organizational affiliations including: the Alliance for Local Sustainable Agriculture, Bolinas-Stinson Beach Compost Project, Apple Tree International, and West Marin Compost Coalition.

In today’s episode we continue with our series on regenerative agriculture, and why it is so important for our soils, the environment, and all human life. Joining us for today’s episode is Doniga Markegard, from Markegard Family Grass-Fed LLC. Along with her husband and four children, Doniga owns and operates the family ranch raising grass-fed beef, lamb, pastured pork and dairy supplying the San Francisco Bay Area with local, nutrient dense foods. The family ranches 1000 head of cattle and leases land throughout the Bay Area spanning over 8000 acres.
Doniga comes to ranching with a background in nature and permaculture. Which has has given her a unique perspective on the real risks that we are facing as a species. In her youth she was mentored by some leading wildlife trackers, naturalists and Native spiritual elders.
Doniga is passionate about large-scale restoration of the Western Rangelands through cattle grazing and her work expands beyond the family ranch into policy and advocacy. She has organized a stakeholder working group at the State Capital for small dairy herds and she took the lead on legislation that would enable family farms to be more sustainable and utilize pasture in an economical and productive way.
Doniga’s deep observation experience aids in her ability to monitor grassland health, biodiversity and to manage land based on the principles and patterns found in nature. She is dedicated to finding ways to regenerate lands and communities through ranching practices that build soil, sequester carbon, capture and purify water and enhance habitat.

Joining us today is Dr. Stephen Malthouse, MD. Dr. Malthouse has been practising medicine for over 42 years in a variety of settings in British Columbia, Canada. He has worked in urban and rural family medicine practices, walk-in clinics, emergency rooms, and palliative care. Additionally, Dr. Malthouse spent 2 years as a university researcher in Kathmandu, Nepal in the field of childhood diseases.
He is the current president of the Canadian Integrative Medicine Association, a group of doctors across Canada who blend alternative therapies, such as homeopathy, functional medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture and orthomolecular medicine, into regular medical office practice. Dr. Malthouse has a particular interest in nutrition and how nutritional supplements can improve immunity, especially with respect to vitamin D deficiency and viral infections.
Taking a sabbatical this year, he has dedicated his time to studying the Covid-19 pandemic and keeping abreast of the day-to-day influx of research. He has come to a much different conclusion than the British Columbia public health officers and government officials on the best means to manage the so-called "pandemic"

In today’s episode we continue our series on the early peopling of the Americas, examining who they were, where they came from, and how they adapted to an ever changing climate. Joining us for the episode from Melbourne Australia is Dr David Turnbull, a sociologist of scientific knowledge. From 1979 to 2003 he was part of the team producing courses in the Social Studies of Science at Deakin University, in Melbourne. Up until 2018 he was a senior research fellow at the Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab at the University of Melbourne. Currently he is an Alfred Deakin Institute Fellow.
The overarching theme of his research has been the nature of technological and scientific knowledge, and the interaction of the social, cultural, political and historical components in its production, transmission and application in differing traditions and eras.
Currently Dr. Turnbull is pursuing two research projects extending this focus on multiplicity, spatiality, narrative, assemblage and movement. At the earliest end of human knowledge production he is working on Narratives of Prehistory and Rock Art – an exploration of the ways stories of human origins and dispersal, modes of knowledge representation and assemblage, indigenous knowledge and archaeological practice are complexly interwoven. The project is based both on textual analysis and fieldwork examining archaeological practice and the interpretation of a range of prehistoric sites and excavations in the USA, South America, Sulawesi, Australia and Europe. Dr. Turnbull has published a number of books, and a long list of scientific papers covering a variety of interconnected topics.
In today’s episode we continue our series on the early peopling of the Americas, examining who they were, where they came from, how they arrived, and how they adapted to ever changing climates. Joining us for this episode is Dr. Bruce Bradley, an Emeritus Professor at the University of Exeter. Dr. Bradley received his BA from the University of Arizona in anthropology with a minor in geology (and a strong passion for archaeology). He later received his PhD in archaeology from the University of Cambridge in experimental archaeology in 1977.
His early research was focused on the North American Southwest and Great Plains where he applied an anthropological approach to much of his work. During some 30 years of field work he has been involved in research and excavations in America, England, France, Ireland, Spain, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Russia and Brazil. His areas of expertise include the early peopling of the Americas, the Clovis Culture, flintknapping techniques, horse domestication in Central Asia, and prehistoric Pueblo archaeology of the American Southwest.
Dr Bradley is the author of several books and a multitude of scientific peer-reviewed journal articles. He is active in bringing his archaeological and anthropological interests to the public through presentations, teaching, interaction with Native American communities and his participation in documentaries.

Book: Across Atlantic Ice: The Origin of America's Clovis Culture
In today’s episode we look back at the last 65 million years known as the Cenozoic era, and the most anomalous climatic event during this entire time period, known as the Younger Dryas. We also examine the cataclysmic end to the last ice age, and the multivariate global effects that followed this cosmic event.
Joining us for today’s episode is Dr. James Kennett, a now retired marine geologist and Professor Emeritus of Earth Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Kennett originally earned his PhD in Geology from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand in 1965 and has been a prolific scientific researcher ever since.
Dr. Kennett is considered a pioneer in developing the relatively new field of Paleoceanography. He is credited with publishing over 500 peer reviewed scientific papers, and has authored or contributed to nearly 2 dozen books. Over the last 50 years Dr. Kennett has contributed towards our comprehensive understanding of major paleoenvironmental and biotic changes that shaped the Cenozoic Era, its stratigraphic record, and the multitude of processes involved in this development.
Dr. Kennett is also a co-founder of the Comet Research Group, a scientific organization dedicated to the examination of the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis and its multitude of global impacts, as well as providing evidence that such impact events are common place throughout Earth’s history.

In today’s program we continue our forest management investigative series with our focus for this episode on ecosystem-based conservation planning. Our guest for the program is Mr. Herb Hammond. Mr. Hammond is a Registered Professional Forester and forest ecologist with a BSc in Forest Management from Oregon State University, and a Masters of Forestry from the University of Washington and has over 30 years of experience in research, industry, teaching and consulting.
Together with his wife Susan, he founded the Silva Forest Foundation, a charitable society dedicated to research and education in ecosystem-based conservation planning. Herb has worked cooperatively with First Nations and rural communities to develop more than 20 ecosystem-based plans across Canada, in Russia, the United States, and in Indonesia.
Winner of the 1992 Roderick Haig-Brown BC Book Prize for the book which best contributes to the understanding and appreciation of British Columbia, Seeing the Forest Among the Trees discusses a land ethic that also applies to the rest of Canada and, indeed, the world. Herb’s award-winning books continue to be used by a wide audience in planning forest protection and use. In 2003, Herb received the Gold Award for Sustainable Living at the Canadian Environmental Awards.

In today’s episode we embark upon another new series, this time examining the practice of regenerative agriculture, why it is so important for soils, the environment, and all human life. Our guest for today’s program in Shane New, from New Family Farms in Holton, Kansas. Shane is a stockman, entrepreneur, and partner with Understanding Ag, LLC. He is a graduate of Kansas State University and has completed Dr. Elaine Ingham’s “Life in the Soils” courses. He was a civil contractor and sod producer for 20 years prior to completely focusing on regenerative agriculture. Some of his practices include no-tilling, cover crops, rotational grazing, and adaptive grazing.
Shane together with his wife Kelli, and their three children, own and operate New Family Farms. The farm consists of cover crops, cattle, and free range chickens. They currently market their meat and eggs.
New Family Farms received the Soil Health Award in 2017 by the Jackson County Conservation District. This award was received for outstanding accomplishments in the management of soil health and related resources. His passion is production agriculture and believes that the future for agriculture and human health has to come from regenerative agricultural practices.

New Family Farm Products
In today’s episode we begin a brand new series focused on the early peopling of the Americas, examining who they were, where they came from, and how they adapted to changing climates. Joining us today is Dr. Tom Dillehay. Dr. Dillehay is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Vanderbilt College, specializing in archaeology, migration patterns, political and economic change, and South America. Dr. Dillehay received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976 based on research from large Inca sites in Peru and then taught at the Southern University of Chile in Valdivia. In that same year, the now famous Monte Verde archaeological site was discovered about 120 miles south of Valdivia. Along with his colleague Mario Pino, Dillehay began excavating the Monte Verde site in 1978 and recovered evidence of its extreme antiquity as well as its high degree of organic preservation.
Early reports of pre-Clovis occupation at Monte Verde sparked widespread scepticism and criticism among the archaeological community. In 1997 nearly twenty years after the excavations at Monte Verde began, a blue-ribbon panel of archaeologists inspected the site and concluded that Dillehay’s analyses and interpretations were correct, accepting an age of 14,800 years old for the site.
Dr. Dillehay has published 25 books and over 200 refereed journal articles. He has been a Visiting Professor at universities around the world and has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the Southern University of Chile.

Dr. Tommy has over 17 years of hands on health experience with a Master Degrees in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University, and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Life University, in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Tommy was drawn to chiropractic practice because he realized there was a higher element missing from healing, the performance process, and the proper function of the human body arising from our innate intelligence and the nervous system.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Tommy John Sr, a renowned legend in Major League Baseball who played for 26 years as a pitcher, Dr Tommy also played professional baseball for three years with teams such as the LA Dodgers. Unfortunately his playing career was abruptly ended from a rare infection in his throwing shoulder. As a result Dr. Tommy developed his own baseball performance company providing over 11,000 baseball training sessions for baseball players from ages six to thirty. Additionally, he expanded his practice of personal training, sports performance training, and rehabilitation of all types of soft tissue injuries.

In today’s program we continue our forest management investigative series, focusing today on the forests located in Northern British Columbia. Joining us for this episode is Michelle Connolly, the Director of Conservation North. Michelle has been a dedicated volunteer in the environmental movement for the last 25 years. This passion led her to obtain a Masters of Science in Forest Disturbance Ecology from the University of Northern BC. Michelle spends much of her personal time exploring and admiring the natural forests in her area. Mrs. Connolly has worked as a biologist for the federal government, a large environmental NGO, as a coordinator for a climate change research program, and briefly as a forestry technician for the BC government. She has also been an advocate for First Nations.

It is a great honour to welcome Dr. Thomas Cowan to the show. Dr. Cowan graduated from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1984. After his residency in Family Practice in Johnson City, New York, he set up an anthroposophical medical practice in an intentional community in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Dr. Cowan has served as vice the president of the Physicians Association for Anthroposophical Medicine and is a founding board member of the Weston A. Price Foundation.

Joining us for today’s episode is Mr. Zach Rhoads, an addiction treatment coach from the Life Process Program. The Life Process Program was designed and developed by the eminent Dr. Stanton Peele, the world’s leading authority on non-12 step addiction recovery. Dr. Peele is a world-renowned addiction expert, author and therapist, who has remained prominently at the forefront of the addiction field for nearly five decades, challenging and changing the way people understand addiction and recovery. Outgrowing Addiction with Common Sense Instead of Disease Therapy
In today’s program we embark upon our forest resource management investigative series. Today we will focus on the present status and importance of Old Growth forests in British Columbia. Joining us for this episode are two of the authors of an important recent publication entitled “BC's Old Growth Forest: A Last Stand for Biodiversity”.
Our first guest Dr. Rachel Holt, originated from the UK and concluded her graduate studies and research in British Columbia which spawned her passion for the BC landscape and its incredible biodiversity. Dr. Holt is trained in the science of conservation biology, and is accomplished in the art of applying science towards land and resource management initiatives.
Our second guest is Dr Karen Price, an ecological consultant based in an off-grid log cabin near Smithers, BC who works at the interface of science and management with her partner Dave Daust. Dr Price developed her passion for ecology early, collecting skulls and lichens at age 5, in her relatively tame native English countryside. She came to BC at 12 years of age and spent hours in the wild forests near Vancouver. She realised her childhood dream of studying behavioural ecology in grad school at Simon Fraser University where she obtained her PhD in behavioural ecology.
The present situation is abysmal. In British Columbia, of the 50 million ha of forest cover, about 13.2 million ha are classified as old growth (about 25%), and only approximately 415,000 ha are productive old growth. This is < 1%. Nearly half of ecosystems have < 1% of the amount expected naturally, and of our remaining old growth, 3% is productive.

"BC's Old Growth Forest: A Last Stand for Biodiversity" - Publication
In today’s program we continue our series on the conservation of humanity, today delving into the subject of Glyphosate as a toxin to human health. Our guest for today's episode is Dr. Stephanie Seneff, a Senior Research Scientist at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Dr. Seneff received a B.S. degree in Biophysics in 1968, an M.S. and E.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1980, and a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 1985, all from MIT.
For over three decades, her research interests have always been at the intersection of biology and computation. She has published over 170 refereed articles, and has been invited to give keynote speeches at several international conferences. For the last 12 years she has worked to try and understand the role of toxic chemicals in the deterioration of human health. Dr. Seneff has published over two dozen papers in various medical and health-related journals on topics such as modern day diseases (e.g., Alzheimer, autism, obesity, cardiovascular diseases), analysis and search of databases of drug side effects using natural language processing techniques, and the impact of nutritional deficiencies and environmental toxins on human health.

In today’s program we continue our series on the conservation of humanity, today delving into the subject matter of addiction and substance use disorders, and the pathways to recovery. Joining us for today’s episode is Dr. Stanton Peele. Dr Peele has been a leading global figure in the field of addiction, and addiction recovery for 50 years now. Dr. Peele earned his Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan in 1973. After earning his J.D. from the Rutgers School of Law in Newark in 1997, Dr Peele was admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars.
Dr. Peele has been a pioneer in applying addiction beyond the area of drugs and alcohol, identifying the social-environmental causes of addiction, harm reduction policies, and the self-cure of addiction.
Since the publication of his first book Love and Addiction in 1975, he has presented his ideas and data in a series of twelve books and over 250 professional and popular articles. His thoughts have appeared in the major social, scientific, psychological, and addiction journals. Recognition for his academic achievements have included the Mark Keller Award from the Rutgers Center of Alcohol Studies and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Drug Policy Alliance. Dr. Peele lectures internationally on the meaning, treatment, and future of addiction.

In today’s program we move away from our usual conservation topics regarding the natural world, and instead turn our focus towards the conservation of humanity. We have been lead to believe that one of the biggest present risks to the well being of humanity is the chinese Corona virus. But is this a reality or simply propaganda to instil fear and limit your freedom? Our guest today is Dr. Richard Bartlett, MD. Dr. Bartlett is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he studied medicine and surgery, and he has practiced hands on medicine in West Texas for the last 28 years. Dr. Barlett has developed a successful novel approach to treating the chinese Corona virus with an inhaled steroid known as Budesonide. He has successfully treated over 1000 patients since March 2020 including many patients with multiple pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes, cancer, and heavy tobacco smokers. In this episode we examine and evaluate this treatment protocol.

In today’s program we continue our investigation into Earth’s ever changing climate from a marine geology and oceanographic perspective examining various factors both past and present that have contributed to major climate shifts. Today we welcome Dr. Colin Summerhayes to the program. Dr. Summerhayes is an Emeritus Associate of the Scott Polar Research Institute of Cambridge University. He has carried out research on aspects of past climate change in both academia and industry: at the New Zealand Oceanographic Institute; Imperial College London; the University of Cape Town; the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution; the UK's Institute of Oceanographic Sciences Deacon Laboratory (IOSDL); the UK's Southampton (now National) Oceanography Centre; the Exxon Production Research Company; and the BP Research Company. He has managed research programmes on climate change for the UK's Natural Environment Research Council, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO, and the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) of the International Council for Science. He is a former director of both the IOSDL and SCAR, and of the IOC's Global Ocean Observing System Project. Dr. Summerhayes is also the author of various books on this subject matter and numerous scientific papers.

In today's episode we go directly to the provincial capital to hear from the newly elected Green Party Leader of British Columbia, Sonia Furstenau, to learn about the Green Party's official position on several important topics. In this episode we discuss the Site C project, LNG exports, renewable energy, salmon and steelhead and more. Mrs. Furstenau strongly believes that a wholesale change must be made in provincial politics immediately to promote the well being of our environment and all its inhabitants. It is imperative to move from election time scale politics to long term planning and thinking. British Columbia possesses all the resources and talent required to become a world leader in renewable energy given the opportunity. We must stop the corporate handouts and subsidies and invest into our citizens and their ability to thrive. In today’s episode we continue with our new sub-series covering global fisheries conservation initiatives, this time focusing on Colombia. I am pleased to introduce Senior Alberto Mejia to the program. Alberto has turned his life long passion for angling into a vocation by having created Fish Colombia Expeditions to provide anglers unique opportunities in 5 different Colombian fisheries. Colombia is a unique location globally having just exited a nearly 50 year civil war. This situation has left vast tracts of the country unexplored and largely unexploited. Alberto has been successful in partnering with various Indian groups to negotiate exclusive sport fishing access to pristine locations. In return for this access to the fishing grounds the Indians agree not to utilize target sport species for food, and they also benefit from weekly angler fees, rotating fair trade employment opportunities including guiding, and regular medical attention. We also look at the wildly successful artisanal fishing only zone known as ZEPA off the North-West coast of Colombia near Bahai Solano. This area covers some 200 miles of coastline and extends a minimum of 7 miles offshore. Within this zone no fishing with nets is allowed and large pelagic species have returned in numbers seen no where else on Earth. This is a true testament to the power of our ecosystems and fish populations to flourish with the use of selective fishing and limited harvest levels.

In today's episode we examine several alternative energy solutions which have been successfully deployed in the Peace Valley region of Northern British Columbia. This episode uncovers and presents exactly the type of information this podcast was created to discover! We highlight the very successful and profitable 102 MW Bear Mountain Wind Park, and how wind power could easily replace the need for the completion of the Site C Dam at an order of magnitude less costly. Furthermore, we present the fact that the BC government canceled the approval of up to 2000 MW of wind power which would have come with the construction of a wind turbine blade factory employing many skilled workers. Solar power generation is presently a viable technology to power every home in British Columbia and will greatly reduced the need for grid power. Alternative energy is an exponentially growing industrial and economic sector, and globally in terms of job creation has presently surpassed the oil and gas sector. The time is now for British Columbia to get out of its 1950s mentality and embrace the future!

Keith is an avid fly fisherman, photographer, film maker and passionate conservationist. Fly Fishing is truly in Keith’s blood having spent some 35 years with fly rod in hand with 23 of those years guiding in over 25 different countries. Keith has been a leading figure as a fly fishing pioneer on the outer atolls of the Seychelles, where he now conducts fly fishing guiding operations at 6 different locations. In this episode we return our attention to the Skeena River watershed to discuss a variety of topics. Joining us today is Brian Niska, head guide at the Skeena Spey Riverside Wilderness Lodge, in Terrace BC. Brian is a lifelong angler with 27 years of fly fishing experience, with 18 of those years spent as a professional fly fishing guide. We explore a number of topics related to ensuring that anglers have consistent and dependable access to BC's rivers and the many possible ways in which to accomplish this. We discuss the nearly extirpated Thompson River Steelhead fishery serving as a warning of the consequences of fisheries mis-management, and why a "hookless" fishery may be the key to this system's recovery. Jesse is also a pilot with Air Canada, and has flown commercially for over 14 years. As a lifelong hunter and angler Mr. Zeman is a passionate outdoorsmen and is a vocal advocate for sustainable management of our fish and wildlife resources.

Our guest for today’s episode is the highly esteemed fisheries biologist Dr. Daniel Pauly whom is arguably the world’s most prolific and widely cited living fisheries scientist. He has published over 1000 scientific articles, and has had a hand in producing over 30 books and reports. His vast body of research is used throughout the planet, and he has supervised students in four languages across five continents. Dr Pauly is presently based out of the University of British Columbia as the Principal Investigator of the Sea Around Us project, devoted to studying, documenting and promoting policies to mitigate the impact of fisheries on the world’s marine ecosystems. In this episode we cover the “shifting baseline syndrome”, why humanity is "fishing down the marine food web", the giant Ponzi scheme of the industrial fishing complex, and Dr Pauly offers potential solutions to drag ourselves out of this situation.

Vanishing Fish: Shifting Baselines and the Future of Global Fisheries
In this episode we continue our investigative series into the state of the Salmonid resource in British Columbia, with our focus on the majestic Steelhead in the Skeena watershed. Our guest today is Bob Hooton whose career in British Columbia’s fisheries management spanned 37 years, with the final 9 years of service spent at the head of the Fish and Wildlife Section for all of BC. Bob is an outspoken advocate of wild Steelhead conservation and has written several books on the subject. Today we also explore the inequitable racially based allocations of our fisheries, and make a case for the baseless origins of these ongoing decisions. Make no mistake listeners, this is an Apartheid policy which harms all Canadians, and ultimately the fish. The time is now to manage the fishery for the sole benefit of the fish, not special interest groups.

Mr. Price earned his MSc studying juvenile salmon ecology & interactions with sea lice at the University of Victoria. In this interview we examine historic baseline sockeye and chum salmon population numbers and investigate the reasons for their precipitous decline. Today's episode features Dr Valentina Zharkova who has a PhD in Astrophysics and through her research has quantified and modelled the Sun's energetic output. This research has generated a highly accurate predictive summary curve which describes solar activity. When this curve is combined with the Sun-Earth Ephemeris data, a clear picture of global cooling emerges. Between the years 2030-2050 will be the maximum cooling point of the Moderen Grand Solar Minimum and we could experience up to a 70% decrease in solar activity. The ramifications of this scenario are dramatic and the World needs to start planning immediately or face deleterious repercussions.
