Tonight, we discuss the murder of Viki Lozano at the hands of her husband, Bobby Lozano. Bobby was a Denton police officer in 2002 when he found his wife lying on their bed with a gunshot wound to the chest. He tells his fellow officers, the Texas Rangers, and his family, that what happened to Viki was probably an accident. Because of favoritism, inaccuracies, and possible perjury, Bobby was released and not charged with Viki's death. Things changed six years later when Bobby was rearrested, and charged with the murder of his wife.

Abby and Andrew Borden were killed with a hatchet in their home while their daughter Lizzie was at home, also at home during the crime was the maid, Bridget Sullivan. Police quickly determine that this must be an inside job. Lizzie is arrested, put on trial for the murders, and then found not guilty by a jury of 12 men. The courtroom erupts into cheer. Caleb Harris disappeared on March 4th, and his body was found over three months later on June 24th. His badly decomposed body was found in a sewage system, that had been previously searched. It wasn't until the tropical storm hit the city, and that's when Caleb's remains were discovered.
What we don't know is how did Caleb end up underground in the wastewater system. Did he fall? Was he being his adventurous self and exploring when there was an accident? A partially covered manhole was discovered 600 feet from where Caleb took the foggy bridge picture. Does that manhole have something to do with his disappearance? Or, did he meetup with someone and was murdered.
It seems the family and police feel differently at the moment about what might have happened to Caleb. Randy, his father, does not hide the fact that he believes someone murdered his son. The police, they believe this was a terrible accident and he might have fallen down the partially covered manhole.

Donna Marie Miller is the author of Texas Secessionists Standoff; the 1997 Republic of Texas "War,” (2023.) A real-life drama that unfolds involving the Republic of Texas antigovernment militia, otherwise known as ROT.
Richard Lance McLaren, (self-proclaimed) “ambassador” for the ROT claimed that Texas was illegally annexed in 1845 by the United States. McLaren, since the early 1990s operated what he called the ROT “embassy” within the Davis Mountains in West Texas. Jo Ann Canady Turner, 54, meets McLaren, and a ripple effect of arrests, jail time, and hostages lie ahead.
Donna’s freelance articles have appeared in Alternate Root, Americana Rhythm, Austin Food, Austin Monthly, Cowgirl, Creative Screenwriting, Elmore, Fiddler, No Depression (Music,) Texas Highways, and former Third Coast magazines. She was a talented art student who was attending The Art Institute of Dallas in 2009 on scholarship when she was fatally stabbed 42 times by her boyfriend's roommate. Tonight we discuss the unsolved abduction and murder of Jennifer Day. Jennifer was one week away from her 15th birthday, when she was abducted from a local donut shop where she working that morning. She opened the store, served a couple of customers, and then vanished. At 6:30 AM a customer finds Jennifer's personal belongings on the counter, and her apron on the floor. She makes a call to report the store empty. Jennifer's body is found a few days later in an overgrown field 10 miles north of the donut shop. There are still too many questions to answer in this case. This will be the 39th year the family and friends of Jennifer have to go without answers to who committed this horrible crime.

This week we discuss the disappearance and murder of Laci Peterson. Her husband, Scott Peterson, was convicted of killing Laci, and their unborn child, Conner. Laci was 8 months pregnant when she was reported missing on Christmas Eve, 2002. Her stepfather reported her missing after Scott Peterson called the family after 4 PM on Christmas Eve. Four months later, Laci and Conner's bodies wash up on the shores of San Francisco Bay.
The LA Innocence Project has picked up Scott's case and wants new evidence tested. He has always maintained his innocence. It will be interesting to see what comes out of these hearings, and what new evidence will be revealed.

In this episode, we go back to the 1960's and discuss the life and trial of Candace Mossler. Candace and her nephew, Mel Powers, were having an affair. Her husband, Jacques, is believed to have found out about the affair. A few months later, Jacques if found dead in his Miami luxury apartment. Police believed Mel and Candace were in this together, and that the couple murdered the millionaire so they could be together and take his fortune. But, what would a jury think?

Marisela was a 23-year old girl visiting Dallas from Seattle. In October 2020, Marisela meets Charles Beltran on the streets of Deep Ellum. What Marisela didn't know is that Charles was living with two women at this time. It was hard for Betty to be the wild and outgoing teenager she wanted to be with strict parents at home. She falls in love with a popular Odessa high football player, Mack Herring. After dating for a few months, he breaks it off with Betty. She is distraught about the break up, and this seems to put her over the edge. She tells friends, it's time for her to see what Heaven is really like after we die. Mack Herring takes the life of Betty, but he will later produce proof that it was her wish to take her last breath.

On December 23, 1974, Mary Rachel Trlica, Lisa Renee Wilson, and Julie Ann Moseley went out shopping for the upcoming holiday, but never returned home. The car Rachel was driving was found parked in the Sears parking lot later that evening by family members. The car was locked, there was no signs of foul play, it seemed as though the girls had just vanished. Lindsay Buziak was a young and vibrant 24-year old real estate agent from Victoria, BC, Canada. On February 2, 2008, Lindsay was murdered in the master bedroom of a vacant home she was showing to an anonymous couple that had only contacted her days before her murder. In late April 2021, Madison McDonald walked into an Irving police station and dialed 911 from the lobby. She tells dispatch she has just killed her two daughters. In April of this year, she was found guilty of two counts of capital murder. She will spend the rest of her life in prison for killing her 1 & 6 year old daughters. This week we travel to Jefferson, Texas to visit one of the most haunted cities in all Texas. This weekend the annual celebration called Pilgrimage took place as well and every year the locals perform a play depicting the trial of the murder of Diamond Bessie. This in itself is a three day event with multiple performance times. We took in all the history of the town and visited some of the famous haunted sites. Back in 1983, five people lost their lives in a robbery gone wrong. The assailants, two identified as Darnell Hartsfield and his cousin Romeo Pinkerton, were eventually convicted of this crime decades later. A third DNA profile found doesn't match any of the suspects. That person is still unidentified and still being pursued by law enforcement.
All 5 victims had been shot. Opie Hughes had been sexually assaulted and found 50 yards away from the rest of the victims.
The victims that died that day were Mary Tyler, 37, Opie Hughes, 39, Joey Johnson, 20, David Maxwell, 20 and Monte Landers, 19.

Kimberly Cargill was an abuser in every sense of the word. She abused her children, her friends, her husbands, the system, and anyone else in her destructive path. Cherry Walker was introduced to this monster by a girl that lived in the same apartment unit as Cherry. Kimberly took advantage of Cherry, who was 39 years old at the time of her murder, but had the mental capacity of a 9 year old. Kimberly would leave her 4-year old with Cherry, sometimes for days.
Kimberly Cargill was sentenced to death for killing Cherry Walker. The motive...so Cherry would not testify against her in a child welfare case. Kimberly was an unfit mother, and knew she could lose custody of her son if Cherry testified. This is the story of a woman with a heart of gold that meets the devil.

This week we discuss the gruesome, double homicide of James Mosqueda and Amy Kitchen. James and Amy had been shot to death and found in the master bedroom of the home they shared. The person charged with the two murders, was James's cousin, Ivan Cantu. Ivan is scheduled for execution on April 26th, 2023, just a month away. Evidence and testimony were overwhelming in the eyes of law enforcement and the Court. Ivan has always maintained his innocence and says he was set up by people that wanted to steal money and drugs from James, and murder him. He said that he saw Amy alive and well six hours after police report the duo was murdered.

Linda's case caught their attention, and now, they are pursuing leads and details to help the Port Orchard police solve this 15-year mystery. Who killed Linda Malcom?

Stephen and I discuss the details of the Idaho Murders, and his experiences sitting down with Ted Bundy. Ted was brazen enough to break into the Chi Omega house and bludgeon four sorority sisters to death without being detected. Is this the same type of person we are dealing with in Idaho?
UPDATE: Since the taping of this episode, there has been an arrest made in the murders of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. Bryan Kohberger, 28, was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police for the quadruple homicide. The police cannot release any additional information about the case until Kohberger is extradited back to Idaho. Huge applause to the police, FBI, the media, and the tipsters that made this arrest happen.

Debbie was an 18-year old newlywed that had been married for about 10 weeks when she was killed. Her husband Doug Williamson discovered Debbie's bodies just hours after she was murdered. In cases like Debbie's we know the husband is always suspect number one. But Doug's alibi was rock solid, and he had no motive. By all accounts, Debbie and Doug were happy.

On May 14, 2015, Amanda Pierce made two phone calls trying to escape the threats from her then-boyfriend, Brayan Espona had just made to her 24 hours before she is found hanging in the couple's bedroom closet. Espona told Pierce if she wasn't out of the house by 7 PM, upon his return from work, he was going to strangle her and get away with it. Two people overhead Amanda sharing this information. The relationship was over.
A 7:14 PM, a call comes in to 911 about a deceased female. Cause of death - suicide. Case closed, or is there more to what happened to Amanda that day.

This is the story of the unsolved murder of former Dallas Cowboy punter, Colin Ridgway. He was murdered in 1993 in Dallas, Texas and the crime still remains unsolved to this day. There were multiple suspects, but no one has ever been tried and convicted in this case. Some of the players are former friends of the family.

The 34-year old mom of 2 was abducted while on her morning jog. It didn't take long for police to hone in on a suspect. Eliza's body was found days after she went missing, along with items that belonged to the billionaire heiress. A sexual crime of opportunity for the convicted felon that should have never been released from prison. RIP to this beautiful woman that was senselessly taken from this world by a predator.
This week we discuss the Border Patrol Serial Killer out of Laredo, Texas. For two weeks, Ortiz hunted down four women and killed them. His reasoning, because they were prostitutes and didn't feel that law enforcement was doing enough to eradicate prostitution. It is believed he knew his victims, but he has yet to disclose the relationship he had with them. I know we will find out more in Court. The trial will take place in San Antonio, with jury selection beginning October 21, 2022. We will be following the Court proceedings.

Katie and John Palmer were taking a morning walk, when they were hit from behind by a truck driving on the wrong side of the road. Cory Foster hit Katie and John that day, killing Katie, and injuring John. John and Katie's family will not stop until Cory Foster is held accountable for the lifetime of pain he caused that day. DPS, officers on duty, Cory Foster himself, held little value towards the seriousness of what had just occurred. You will see that in the body cam videos that we will have posted to our Patreon page.

Amber Hagerman was a beautiful nine year old little girl that was enjoying a bike ride on a beautiful Texas afternoon. Eight minutes after leaving her grandmothers home, she was abducted and found murdered four days later. We take a look at the small window of time, in which this crime occurred. Amber's disappearance triggered Diana Simone to take action. This action brought about what we know as the Amber Alert. The Amber Alert has saved over 1,000 missing and exploited children. This case can be solved.

This week we are discussing Andrea Yates. Andrea drowned all 5 of her children after her husband Rusty left for work. Andrea was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis, schizophrenia, and depression after the birth of their fourth child. Going against everything doctors and psychiatrists suggested, they had child number 5. Six months later, she killed all of her kids. This is the tragic story of 5 children whose lives could have been saved if only just one things would've been done right.

This week we are discussing the case of Melissa Lucio. Melissa was charged with Capital Murder in the death of her 2-year old Mariah. Mariah was found unresponsive and was pronounced DOA at the hospital. Melissa admitted to slapping and biting Mariah, but says she never hit her in the head or punched the child. The medical examiner determined that Mariah had died from blunt force trauma to the head. Was it an accidental fall, or murder?

This week we dive into Part 1 of the murder of Stacey Stites. Stacey was 19-years old and had her whole life ahead of her. Her body is found in Bastrop County, approximately 15 minutes from her home. Rodney Reed's DNA was found on Stacey. In 1998, he was convicted of her murder and sentenced to death. He has always maintained his innocence. Millions of people have signed petitions and the Innocence Project picked up Rodney's case in 2012, all whom believe he has been wrongfully convicted. They are pointing the finger at Stacey's then fiancee Jimmy Fennell, an ex-cop from Giddings, TX. He was living with Stacey at the time of her death, and was the last one to see her alive. Guilty or Innocent, you be the judge.

This week I welcome a special person to the show. Arlene Harbison joins me to discuss the murder of her uncle, Leon Laureles. Leon was headed to work at Kroger grocery when he was abducted from the parking lot, driven to a remote area in Brownwood, TX and murdered. His case remains unsolved after 26 years. His body was found in a remote area of Brownwood near a private gun range. Someone knows what happened on May 10th, 1996.
Arlene is trying to raise money to hire a private detective to look more into Leon's case, and to commission a memorial mural to be painted in his hometown, so he is never forgotten by the community. I will post a link to the gofundme page in our social sites. I know the good people of Brownwood and Leon's family would like this case solved. Let's help bring justice to Leon.
This week is part 2 of the El Paso Massacre. Patrick Crusius was 21 years old when he opened fire in the walmart in El Paso, TX. He was arrested without altercation and admitted everything to the authorities. In this episode, we discuss where this is currently in the court system, the victims of this hate crime, and I share one of my favorite organizations with you.

He was armed with a Romanian style AK-47 and loaded up with ammunition that he purchased from Russia. He killed 23 people and injured 23 others. In Part 1 we will talk about the suspect, guns, and the mass shooting violence in the United States.

Tonight I cover Part 2 of the Yogurt Shop Murders. In December, 1991, 4 teenage girls are murdered in the TCBY yogurt shop. 30 years later, this case is still unsolved. Tonight I discuss suspects, confessions, and motive.
Tonight I am sipping on Albarino. Albarino is their best selling white wine at Edge of the Lake Vineyard. This wine is bursting with zest of citrus, and gives off a combination of grapefruit and honeydew to the nose. This is their driest white wine and the boldest. This week we are discussing the murder of Christine Morton out of Austin, TX. In 1986, Christine was bludgeoned to death in her bed. Her three year old son witnessed the attack. They pinned the murder on her husband, Michael Morton. But did he do it? Was there any actual evidence? This is a roller coaster of a case.

This week we are recording from Caudalie Crest Farm & Vineyard in Weston, TX, right near Celina. We are discussing the mysterious disappearances of Stacie Madison and Susan Smalley out of Carrollton, Texas. The disappearances and presumed murders of these girls has gone unsolved for 33 years. The Carrollton police department had a witness come forward and claim the boyfriend of Stacie Madison at the time of her disappearance, admitted to her that he killed both girls. We have a special guest in law enforcement joining us for this episode. Officer Brian Baker currently works for the Colony police department and shares his take on the case.

This week we are discussing the case of David Graham and Diane Zamora. These two brutally murdered 16-year old Adrianne Jones. What made such promising young adults, do the most horrific act and carry on with their lives as if nothing had happened.
This week's wine comes from our friends at 10 Mile Productions. We are sipping on a white wine today, Blanc Du Bois which is a hybrid grape made from American and European varieties. It was made at the University of Florida in 1968 by John Mortensen. This variety is ready to combat Texas challenges, like high heat, humidity and even pierces disease. This varietal is un-fined/un-filtered with a nice effervescent touch. You will taste notes of grapefruit, lemon, guava and maybe even green apple.

The organization for this week is Dare to Dream.
Over the years, Dare to Dream has recruited and trained hundreds of volunteers to educate, inspire, and mentor wounded youth in group homes, shelters, orphanages, and detention centers. Our programs are designed to help meet the emotional and spiritual needs of at-risk youth to overcome drug and alcohol abuse, juvenile delinquency, and teen pregnancy, all of which causes child abuse, school drop-outs, and teen suicide.
WHO WE SERVE
Youth between the ages of ten and eighteen, living in shelters, foster homes, group homes, detention centers and orphanages. Many have been abused and neglected and do not have a father present in their lives. Partnerships have been developed with Juvenile Departments, State Youth Commissions, youth shelters, group homes and orphanages. We are also impacting the lives of single abused moms and the homeless.
MISSION
To pick up the broken pieces of the lives of wounded youngsters in group homes, shelters, detention centers, and orphanages by providing life-skills education and ministry through role model speakers, cultural experiences (art, music, and dance), and one-on-one mentoring. This week the fabulous ladies of Ivy League Murders joined me on the mic to discuss the case of Ana Trujillo, better known as The Stiletto Murderer. Ana took the life of her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Stefan Andersson. The case made national headlines within days because of the fact Ana was a woman, and murdered a man, and the weapon was a 5.5 inch stiletto heel.

The Peyton Heart Project is a global initiative to help end suicide and bullying and the stigma surrounding mental health issues. It is named after 13 year old Peyton James, from Georgetown, Texas. Peyton took his life in 2014 after years of bullying.
