As beautiful as it is to listen to it, the violin is generally considered among the most difficult instruments.
Rock Out Loud is proudly announcing the launch of its exclusive virtual violin lessons with the world-renowned violinist Caroline Owen. Beginners, recreational players, and more experienced violinists looking to improve now have a unique opportunity to learn from one of the most respected violin players from London.
In this article, we’d like to introduce you to the concept behind Rock Out Loud violin lessons – what you’ll learn, who they are for, what the benefits are, and how to enroll. Without any further ado, let’s start from the top.
An Introduction to Rock Out LoudRock Out Loud is the leading NJ music school based in Morganville committed to ensuring students of music, regardless of age, occupation, or professional ambition, have a comfortable, inclusive space to practice, form friendships, learn more about music, and grow together.
Ever since our founding, we’ve enlisted only the most experienced, passionate music coaches. Virtual Violin Lessons with Caroline Owen at Rock Out Loud
Exclusive Violin Lessons with Caroline Our violin lessons will be solely hosted by Caroline. With her extensive background as a music educator and collaborator, we firmly believe that her vast experience and dedication to music make her a perfect fit to coach Rock Out Loud’s students.
Caroline Owen has a Doctorate of Music degree from Florida State University, and she has been tutored by a range of high-profile music instructors, including but not limited to Liza Stepanova, Jody S. Parrish, Derek Persons, and many others.
Violin Students of All Skill Levels are WelcomeTypically, music lessons should be categorized as beginner, intermediate, and expert. However, we understand that due to the steep learning curve of the violin, there are many people who’ve played for over a decade and think of themselves as beginners, as well as prodigies who’ve become proficient in just a few years.
Caroline’s abundant violin coaching experience gives her a unique position to create tailored curriculums that ensure that everyone gets to learn something new with each class.
Comprehensive Violin Lessons Made SimpleThe rate of the coaching progress depends more on the coach than the student. Even though all individuals have different learning capacities and circumstances that would enable them to learn at a slower or faster pace, it’s up to the coach to find the right way to ensure consistent progress is being made.
It is precisely for this reason that we’ve chosen to work with Caroline Owen. As one of the most experienced violin educators across all compass points, Caroline is in a unique position to help beginners reach their goals and pass on some of the best-kept secrets to more experienced students.
From simple bowing techniques to elaborate chord progressions, tremolo-picking, vibrato, and beyond, students enrolling in Rock Out Loud’s exclusive violin program will have an opportunity to master the core principles of violin playing.

Learn in a Budding Community of Like-Mined IndividualsAt Rock Out Loud, we pride ourselves on the community we’ve been building with our students and coaches over the years. The pillars supporting our online violin lessons are built on inclusivity, respect, and just a dash of friendly competition, all of which foster sustainable growth and relationships that have the potential to last a lifetime.
Besides being a well-respected solo violinist and an educator, Caroline Owen embodies the core values of Rock Out Loud. Our current students who’ve decided to transfer to the violin program, as well as fresh newcomers, will be warmly embraced by a group of like-minded music lovers that has been with us from the start.
Perfect for Classically Trained Musicians Aspiring to Perform in OrchestrasFormal violin training typically lasts several years provided that the student practices upward of 10+ hours daily and passes all tests with flying colors. Even then, a slot in a standard orchestra is not guaranteed since only the most diligent and proficient students have a shot.
Our lessons are designed to be a fast track to success for classically trained musicians searching for advanced violin coaching. We understand that many people don’t have the time or the resources to apply for formal violin training, which is the reason why our lessons with Caroline are both more affordable and more effective relative to contemporary alternatives.
A Glimpse into the Skills of an Elite Violin PerformerBesides the standard curriculum, our exclusive violin lessons will also give our students an opportunity to experience the skills of Caroline Owen first-hand.
Fans of her masterful performances at boutique venues and events like PianoFest, Atlantic Music Festival’s Summer Piano, Prague Piano Festival, and many others will get a glimpse of her techniques in a more direct, personal manner.

You’ve always wanted to become a musician, and you’ve learned the hard way that mastering an instrument, creating songs, and recording brand-new tracks are not the easiest things in the world. You’ve seen countless ads, tried a few lessons, and probably feel a bit skeptical about online music schools.
All music schools, coaches, and instructors say they’re different. At Rock Out Loud, we’re all about transparency. We won’t shower you with promos, one-time discounts, reviews, and testimonies; we’ll give you a quick virtual tour of what you’re missing out on by NOT being a part of New Jersey’s premier music school.
Accelerated Cover Band Crash CourseDozens of our students are enamored with rock, metal, and jazz bands and want to learn the songs their heroes made as quickly as possible. Usually, music schools don’t pay too much attention to what the students want to learn and follow a pre-set (and often boring) curriculum instead.
We’re not only aware of the little fact that the majority (if not all) of our music students have different music preferences, favorite bands, and songs they want to learn; we’re taking it up a notch by actively addressing these needs, teaching our students how to play any song they want to learn, and more.
Our method is comprised of multiple layers. First, we show our students the ropes – how to hold the guitar, what frets are, how to strum, and a couple of basic chords. Then, we play the song to the students so they can see what they should do first-hand. Thirdly, we teach our students how to use Garage Band to play backing tracks and make learning cover songs easier.
While you’d normally need to spend months to cover all this ground in any other music school, you’ll gain the ability to learn how to cover almost any beginner-level song at Rock Out Loud in merely weeks – or even quicker, if you’re working hard.
Rock Out Loud BandsYou read it correctly, we have our OWN bands at Rock Out Loud. We don’t play “make-believe bands” so that our students can become familiar with what real music groups do on the stage – we help our students form real, authentic music bands with their classmates.
To make our students’ band experience complete, we also host real shows in front of real audiences. No amount of roleplay can prepare aspiring musicians for real performances; that’s why we’ve decided to host rock shows at our live band room first so they could enjoy performing in a controlled environment.
After our student bands cut their teeth at Rock Out Loud, we’re helping them reach the next level by organizing real shows in respectable venues we’ve been partnered with for years. Once again, knowing the local audience and the owners enables our team to set up a controlled show environment, but the shows Rock Out Loud organizes are as real as they can be.
Comprehensive Music Recording EducationWith the exception of music colleges and universities, not many music schools teach music recording. Most of them simply mention the gear used to record music and that the process takes place in the recording studio.
Unlike most music schools, Rock Out Loud music coaches understand that many students write riffs at home and even write full songs. What’s more, we understand that everyone has the potential to write an original tune, and that’s why we’re not only teaching music recording – we take our students to a real recording studio so they could experience and interact with real recording equipment and software.
After we cover the basics, we take Rock Out Loud groups to our studio and continue the lessons there. It’s one thing to explain what recording headphones, a mixing board, soundproof panels, and the vocal booth are; it’s a completely different thing to physically interact with these objects and even record simple chords and riffs in person.
Music Lessons for All Ages. New Jersey’s Premier Music School
Experience Learning How to Play an Instrument on Quality GearThere’s nothing more disheartening for a bassist to be enamored with the sound of the powerful tone of Gene Simmons, Jack Bruce, or Lemmy Killmeister only to realize that the sound your instrument is making is flat, shallow, and downright empty compared to theirs. Innumerable aspiring players gave up on music simply because they didn’t like the sound of their budget gear.
At Rock Out Loud, we understand that our students, especially kids, fall in love with music much faster once they’ve received an opportunity to strum a few chords or play a few beats on good instruments.
We’ve equipped our facilities with cutting-edge guitars, basses, digital pianos, and drum sets, and all of our students can practice and play them. We encourage our students to explore the depths of tone that budget instruments simply lack.
By giving our students an opportunity to test high-quality instruments, we’ve noticed they’re making steady progress; they can’t wait to get back to the learning room and feel inspired to play more frequently than usual.
You’re Missing the Full PackageFrom teaching the simplest chords to the basics of recording in a real studio to playing authentic shows in venues across NJ to learning what it’s like to play on some of the finest instruments the current market has to offer – you’re missing plenty of unique opportunities by NOT enrolling in Rock Out Loud.
We don’t take the title of New Jersey’s premier music school lightly. We’re beyond grateful that our students love the results and the atmosphere of learning at Rock Out Loud, and we’re committed to constantly improving our offering by partnering with recording studios & rock venues, sourcing even better instruments, and refining our curriculum.

The post Rock Out Loud: What Your Music Life Is Missing by NOT Enrolling in Our Music School appeared first on Rock Out Loud.
Playing music may be just a hobby to some, but for most people, it’s a passion with promising career potential. Kids often enroll in music schools and online music lessons wanting to learn what playing is like, but the majority of such establishments are primarily focused on music theory.
Enter: Rock Out Loud, New Jersey’s premier music school founded to empower its students with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to fully embrace music and their chosen instruments.
Playing live music in front of an audience is a uniquely wonderful experience; for first-time performers, words are too small to describe the feeling of being under the spotlight, playing your favorite tunes with your friends, and absorbing the energy that the crowd directs to the stage.
Today, we’ll highlight why music students should play live, how they’ll benefit from it, and how Rock Out Loud can help.
What is Rock Out Loud?Rock Out Loud is an NJ-based music school offering premium-quality guitar, piano, drums, and voice lessons.
As former music students, seasoned musicians, and professional music coaches, we’ve been on both sides of the spectrum. We’ve endured boring lessons, played pubs, and performed in larger venues.
At the end of the day, it all boils down to playing music. However, playing live is what inspired us to do more and grow bigger. That’s what we strive to instill in our students and prepare them for the big stage.
Playing Live is Identical to Live Sports GamesWhether it be football, basketball, hockey, or any other sport, most people that practice any of these disciplines do so to polish their skills. They practice a routine, perform a variety of physical exercises, and strive to be better.
This is all being put to the test during a live game. Years of training, the desire to overcome adversity, the audience cheering, and people depending on you; it all comes together during a live game. Without live events, sports would be little more than a convoluted workout.
The situation is exactly the same as musicians. Where basketball players shoot hoops, musicians play scales to improve their accuracy; they play for hours to build up endurance; they practice for days to improve, and they crave playing in front of an audience to show off the results of this training.
Performing Live is a Natural Confidence Booster for ChildrenLearning self-worth and building confidence requires a healthy dose of trial and error. Kids can easily feel a bit down after scoring a bad grade or arguing with friends/parents. Some need years to develop a high level of confidence, but there are shortcuts that are almost exclusive to musicians – playing live shows.
Even if it’s a gig in the tiniest of pubs; even if the stage is just a little carpet, it’s enough for children to get a taste of what rockstars and music icons are doing. Being merely a few feet away from the audience while the music “they” are playing is blasting on all four cylinders can’t even begin to compare to rehearsals or concert simulations.
It’s the Beginning of a Career for SomeLike with any other job, a portfolio matters to musicians. A person that can boast about performing as early as when they were 5-6 years old is far more likely to land a position in an established music group, whether it be a rock band, a local orchestra, or a prominent ensemble.
More importantly, kids performing music live is always an attraction. People are thirsty for fresh bands, and new generations of rock & roll musicians are keeping the venues across NJ and beyond packed to the brim.
How Rock Out Loud Prepares Kids to Perform LiveLive concerts are amazing, but they can be scary for those unprepared. Even adult musicians are not immune to stage fright, and we’re here to ensure our students get the most memorable shows.
Our professional music coaches boast decades of experience working with children. From regular rehearsals to sending Garage Band backing tracks to working with each student 1-on-1, answering all questions, and going the extra mile whenever doubts are looming, our coaches are people that our students trust and confide in.
Our Students Choose the SongsAt Rock Out Loud, we understand that forcing students to learn and play songs they don’t like spells disaster. It’s not much different from math homework or washing dishes, and we firmly believe that passion for music is as important as playing music.
That’s why Rock Out Loud students get to choose which songs our coaches will teach them. We practice these songs together, and believe it or not, the kids have made the setlist of the first gig your child will play.
Rehearsing Music Made FunBand rehearsals are performances where the audience is comprised of just the band and their coach. Our students play as if the room was Little Caesar’s Arena because they bonded through music and love the energy as much as they love the songs.
At Rock Out Loud, we strive to bring the element of fun into music practice, because our students need to be prepared for the stage so they don’t freeze when the spotlights are on. This way, they’ll have the skills and the confidence to blast their favorite tunes wherever, whenever.
We Host 3 Live Concerts AnnuallyMany venues across New Jersey actively search for bands. We’d never risk the safety and comfort of our students, which is the reason why we’ve partnered with the owners of the legendary Stone Pony and Bitter End – iconic venues with pristine reputations and a proven track record.
Rock Out Loud hosts 3 concerts each year in these venues. We take our students to places that are familiar, secure, and fun.

Countless musicians spend their artistic lifetimes as bedroom guitarists, bassists, and drummers. Innumerable unique songs lie unwritten and unrecorded simply because finding other musicians to play with, form a band, and ultimately enter the studio is not the easiest thing in the world.
Realizing this, Rock Out Loud, New Jersey’s premier music school, created a first-of-its-kind program designed to give kids and teens across NJ the tools they need to form and play in a band with their peers, refine their songwriting abilities, and enter the Rock Out Loud world-class studio to record a tune they’ll make along the way.
Being In a Band and Why Children Love ItTo non-musicians, a band is little more than a group of people playing music. Guitarists, bassists, drummers, singers, pianists, and musicians playing anything that could classify as an instrument know that being in a band is like having a second family.
Many children can only dream of becoming a part of a band, and for a good reason. Parents want their kids to be safe, and having them around dangerous electric gear with other children doesn’t seem like a good idea for most adults.
The Rock Out Loud Band Camp is all about creating a safe, pleasurable environment for all its students. Professional teachers serve as educators and supervisors, teaching the students what music equipment is, how it is supposed to be used, and most importantly, how to channel their creative spirits while using it.
Strike While the Iron is HotThe inquisitive spirit and creative mind of a child can create gorgeous pieces of art. More importantly, children and teens have a strong passion for new things they discover and find interesting.
While being in a band is a fun journey for most people, it is like a dream come true for children and youngsters. Any child that is given an opportunity to play an instrument with peers and like-minded kids will get to grow and develop a range of other skills and talents.
Improving cognitive functions and communication while talking to other band members; getting better at hand-eye coordination while hitting the notes and strumming; unleashing their creative energies while writing songs and lyrics. These are just some of the many benefits any teen or child will get to reap by joining Rock Out Loud’s Band Camp program.
Learning How to Write a SongSongwriting is as much of a skill as it is a talent, but it needs to be refined and directed nevertheless. A child may be incredibly gifted, but most kids need a bit of guidance and, more importantly, music education, which would enable them to put their artistic thoughts and visions to paper.
The strongest, most emotional, and most impactful songs are often created in bands. People come together, bounce ideas back and forth, and give each other unique perspectives, and a beautiful tune is born.
Rock Out Loud has created the ROL Band Camp for children and teens to have an opportunity to realize these benefits. No idea is too small, and no opinion is irrelevant at our camps, and the students love the experience.
Growing as MusiciansA self-taught musician may master dozens of chords, scales, and techniques, but they’ll eventually hit a plateau because they’ll only have their experience (both mistakes and eureka moments) to draw from to further their understanding of music.
At Rock Out Loud’s band camp, our students grow together and become not just better musicians but also better people.
Our instructors are experienced pedagogues in addition to being seasoned road dogs and will teach your child how to interact with other bandmates, how to use music equipment, how to perform in front of a crowd, and at the end of the journey, how to record in a music studio.
Creating Original SongsFrom an infinite pool of ideas, thoughts, and inspirations, a select few only make it to a song. Many beginners struggle to choose the riffs and licks that fit best into a song. After all, it takes years of trial and error to understand the relationships between different chords, tempos, and scales.
One of the main purposes of the Rock Out Loud Band Camp is to help the students learn how a song is made and to use this knowledge to create brand-new, original songs together.
While being a part of a band is a uniquely rewarding experience, the opportunity to make timeless art with new friends is irreplaceable and incomparable to anything else. We take great pride in the ability of our instructors to compress decades of music theory knowledge into bite-sized lessons without leaving the most important elements out.
Recording in a Top-Tier StudioOnce our students make the songs, they are usually more than eager to share them with the rest of the world. Recording music is a complex and often intimidating process even to highly experienced musicians, and to make sure our students can feel relaxed and at home while in a studio, Rock Out Loud is taking them to one of the best music studios in New Jersey.
Boasting the latest drum sets, musical instruments, amps, microphones, consoles, and recording software, our studio is equipped to meet the demands of even the neediest musicians out there.
From recording vocals and scheduling jam sessions to learning all about improvisation, fine-tuning a song to perfection, and recording solos on each instrument with pinpoint accuracy, the Rock Out Loud Band Camp will ensure your child will get to experience all of this first-hand in a friendly, controlled environment.
Our instructors are on the scene with the students throughout the whole process, educating the children about the recording equipment, the gear they’re about to use, and more.

For most people, music is a crucial part of life. Whether it be listening to pumping tracks while working out, ballads when we’re sad, or blasting the most intense rock tunes all day long, it’s safe to say that the world would be different without good rock ‘n’ roll music.
The last few years have shown us just how much we need live concerts – real, living beings playing real, live instruments and creating the beautiful energy that we all associate with rock shows.
As New Jersey’s premier music school, Rock Out Loud is helping the world return to rock concerts. From unique rock band simulation programs to performing on big stages and iconic RN’R venues, Rock Out Loud is bringing live concerts back.
Why Are Live Shows Important?People have sung and played live music for thousands of years. Kings, queens, soldiers, the common folk, and everyone in between enjoyed each other’s company with beautiful melodies in the background, and although societies may have changed, the love for music persisted.
We need live shows because we’re social beings and love to communicate and make new friendships. The vibrations blasting through the speakers make us move, dance, and bang our heads; the communities of like-minded individuals gathering at live shows support each other, making any challenge in life more manageable.
Rock Out Loud is the leading New Jersey provider of online music lessons committed to ensuring beginner musicians young and old have proper guidance on their path to becoming rockstars.
This music school also organizes shows for its students; from casual Strawberry Jamz and Open Mic nights to real rock shows across some of the most popular New Jersey venues, Rock Out Loud is ensuring new generations of RN’R legends can play their hearts out in front of real crowds.
An Empowering Experience for EveryoneA live concert is an event where everyone participates and everyone has fun. The band is playing their favorite music, conversing with the audience, and creating a unique atmosphere while the crowd embraces it and channels it back to everyone in the room.
Nothing could ever replace or come close to a live rock show, as this is the only setting where a thin line separates bystanders from best friends. We need live concerts to fill us with positive energy and remind us of all the good things in life.
Musical Education & Growth for Both Players and AudiencesAn important reason why live shows matter in the lives of everyone attending them is that they get to learn more about the music as a whole.
Listening to different bands gives the listener a peek into their perspective on music. Even two bands covering the same original group don’t play their songs in the same way, with the same energy, or oftentimes with the same message. The most obvious example of this is the iconic “Holy Diver”, originally composed and performed by the late Ronnie James Dio’s band, which was adopted into the world of metalcore by Killswitch Engage.
Bands also learn something new whenever they play live. Whether it be by performing small mistakes or by seeing a different response from the audiences, musicians grow and evolve with each show they play.
This is one of the main reasons why Rock Out Loud is striving to bring its students the best live show opportunities across New Jersey.
Live Concerts Inspire People To Pick Up an InstrumentSo many stories of world-famous musicians begin with them being a part of the audience, listening to their heroes rock out on a big stage, and getting to experience such a unique moment that they wanted to become musicians themselves.
The same thing happened to thousands of people across the globe. Getting to see a master guitarist shred the fretboard with rapid-fire soloing, a groovy bassist slapping those thick strings, a drummer causing an earthquake on toms, and a singer soar above the crowd with those ultra-high notes are some of the most inspiring things a person can experience in a day.
Enriching the Budding RN’R CommunityRock and roll is a lifestyle adopted by millions of people across all compass points. Its honest, organic nature makes it appealing to people of certain qualities and mindsets, and more importantly, it makes forming new friendships significantly easier as nearly all rockers, metalheads, and fans of alternative music have one thing in common – good music taste.
Live concerts are making rock and roll communities stronger and healthier. At face value, the bands gain more exposure, and fans get their fill of quality music. Meanwhile, new rock fans are embraced into the fold, new bands are formed, and the roots of rock & roll run deeper, making this already tight-knit community even more vibrant than before.
At Rock Out Loud, we make sure that the new members of the RN’R community have access to premium quality music education, and whenever they are ready, we help them reach stages across New Jersey and play their favorite instruments.
Rock Out Loud at The Stone Pony & The Bitter EndStudents of Rock Out Loud have an opportunity to play in venues where some of the most iconic players performed; from Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan to Green Day, Taylor Swift, and the legendary KISS, Rock Out Loud takes its students to places such as The Stone Pony and The Bitter End where the biggest heroes of RN’R cut their teeth.
Wrapping UpYou don’t have to spend decades playing the guitar in your bedroom before you feel confident enough to join or start a band.
By joining Rock Out Loud, you’ll receive the best music lessons on the current market and learn everything you need to know about what rock bands are all about. We will even set you up in one of our bands and take you to play at high-profile venues across NJ.
Rock Out Loud is located in Morganville, New Jersey 07751, but if you prefer, you can also give us a call or send us an email.
