Growing up I always heard "Don't discuss religion or politics." Now I think we've come to take this to heart so much that the two have become inseparable. We have pastors refusing congregants wearing masks and whole denominations splitting in half over politics. This is not biblical nor is it Christlike yet it has become so pervasive in the church it is nearly all the world knows about Jesus.

We can't judge the "lost" from the "saints" based on our incomplete evidence of their lives. We can't tell the "wheat from the weeds" this side of eternity. Even the best most wonderful fruit if eaten before it is ripe will leave a bad taste in our mouth. If we were to eat an unripe fruit it may lead us to believe the tree only produces bitter fruit but we would be mistaken.

As someone on the Autism spectrum it's hard for me to "feel" God sometimes. I don't think this is exclusively an autistic trait I think we all feel that way sometimes. This doesn't mean we're defective or our love for God isn't genuine. In fact true love perseveres without the "warm fuzzies"

A lot of times people try to hide their sinfulness from God as well as pretend everything is perfect before men. This is an error because it's only by admitting our faults and our brokenness and telling.the truth that we can be healed and forgiven. God can save all of us no matter who we are or what we've done but he won't save a fictional character we pretend to be.

All of us have scars from our past that remind us of some of the tough places we've been. Jesus has scars too. He kept them even after His resurrection to remind Him of the sacrifice he made to atone for our sins. You may look at your scars and see failure Jesus looks at His and sees forgiveness.
