Kaie created Sharing Tables to be 'excuse' to bring people who normally wouldn't come together, at the same 'table' and creating community or friendships. Within the coffee industry here, before she began her events back in end of 2015-start of 2016, people working at the various cafes didn't mingle. It wasn't a thing that happened. They were "the enemy". Through all of the events in the past 5 years though, she has been able to great a solid foundation and community where people come together and share their ideas, knowledge, skills, and are friends. These cafe owners now talk and share with one another, to a degree, and there is a real sense of a community. This wasn't a thing before my events with Sharing Tables. Sharing Tables was needed to bridge the community together, past their history and perceived differences.

Specialty coffee has taken giant leaps here locally in past few years and while the cafes are mostly still seeing the scene with dollar signs in their eyes, Kaie sees heart. She wants there to be some heart and does her best to keep building up the strong foundation she has through events like barista jams, cuppings, education, and other community coffee events.

Judy Bogen made Aliyah to Israel from England and settled in Israel, raised three children and enjoyed a career including marketing, human resources and office management and
administration. In 2008, she and her family went on shlichut to the United States, where she was diagnosed with stage 1/ grade 3 breast cancer. She underwent surgeries and treatments till the summer of 2009.

When she returned to Israel in 2011, she continued her follow up. The health care she receives here is excellent and the staff, very professional. However, the outpatient centers are not comfortable and healing spaces. They do not give the patient the stress-free environment necessary when living through cancer treatment. And, so she took on a different kind of Shlichut. After studying the connection between one emotional and mental state and physical conditions, she established Place2Heal in 2016.

It is a nonprofit organization which focuses on raising funds for renovating and redesigning Cancer Day Care Units in Israeli hospitals. 'I wanted to bring about a change in cancer day care units, to help oncology patients in Israel” she explains.'The professional treatment in Israel is excellent, but the physical environment leaves more to be desired.'

Chaya Lev moved to Israel 4 years ago after surviving breast cancer at just forty years old.  She had booked an appointment with her doctor for a "routine" breast examination. At that time, everything in my life felt routine.  She was over-weight and over-stressed and was living in the shadow of happiness.  She received a wake up call that forever changed her life.

Now every day of her life is an adventure. Ordering coffee and speaking to interesting people is an adventure.  Going to the post office and finding new doctors (most of the time in my new language), is an adventure. Chaya is thriving and teaching dance here in Israel and has added activist to the long list of things she is doing to help others.

Pnina first fell in love with Israel when she came to spend a year in the country after finishing high school, on her gap year. She spent the year living in the old city while studying. It was crazy to believe that the very stones that housed her, held thousands of years of memories. In short, she fell in love with the history, the people and the hope that Israel has always brought and continues to bring.
Pnina returned to my home in Melbourne, Australia and began to feel a void that grew bigger as time went on. She diagnosed myself with FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), from the action and history that is created every single day in Israel. Israel had become a huge part of her heart and it wasn't before long, she planned to make Aliyah. When the day of her Aliyah arrived, she left her family in tears as the infamous 'swallowing doors' by passport control took me away to my future. She felt like a shtetl jew going to the 'Goldener Medina', not knowing when or how she would see her family again (Australia was simply too far and expensive to fathom).
Pnina arrived in Israel and began life in the Merkaz Klita Ulpan in Jerusalem and made friends for life. A year in, she found her dream job, and met her husband. 2 years in, her sister and BFF, made Aliyah. 3 years in, her parents and my other sister followed them and made Aliyah too. A year after that, she and her sister were married 2 months of each other. Fast forward almost 9 years later, she and her husband are privileged to watch their 2 little kids grow up in this magical country.

Devorah made aliyah in December 2011 with came with my husband and 3 out of her 4 daughters aged 10, 13 and 15. Her 17 year old stayed in South Africa to complete her final year of high school. She made aliyah a year later. It was an incredibly difficult aliyah as her family moved for her 'Zionistic dream'. Teenagers making aliyah was not simple from so many different aspects - social, cultural and of course the language. The first 6 months I was torn between my disbelief that she actually made aliyah and the privilege she felt to be living here, and the pain that her family was feeling. After 6 months of drying tears and trying to settle her family, it hit her one day that she had lost my Wellness practice, that nobody knew her professionally and she would have to start from scratch building up a Reflexology practice again.

Before Devorah made aliyah she ran a busy Reflexology practice from home. The year before she left she started studying Logotherapy which is the teachings of Dr Victor Frankl from his bestseller, 'Man's search for meaning.' She had started incorporating these teachings into my clinic because she felt that people were looking for meaning behind their illnesses and struggles and until then she was not able to help them. LY helps people ask "What now?" instead of "Why me?".

When Devorah knew they were coming to Israel, she told the lecturer, on old Africaner women who was Dr Frankls student, that she was unable to continue with the course because she was going to live in Israel. She said "Marvelous Devorah, I live in Modiin! I converted because of Dr Frankl and now live in Israel and teach a private group Logotherapy from my home. You are welcome to join!" So, soon after she made aliyah she joined the group and continued with the course. This was a lifesaver to Devorah as she made the aliyah transition. It was a huge turning point in her work as she started counseling people with life struggles and challenges. Of course the skills she learnt helped her with her own transition and helped her to help her family as well.

Devorah then went on to do a bereavement counseling course and studied mental imagery for healing and am currently studying Somatic Experience - emotional first aid for trauma.

Marta is the quintessential Aliyah story. Originally from Philadelphia, she fell in love with Israel at an early age, when she lived with her family for a year in the small desert town of Arad, at the age of 10. Really, even back then, she knew then she would one day be back in Israel for good.

After studying abroad here in both high school and college Israel became her second home and eventually, after graduating university in the States, Marta made aliyah 10 years ago.

Over the years Marta has had many jobs from a PR agency, to Masa Israel to
being one of the first employees at the music education startup, JoyTunes, where she was the community manager.

All these positions lead her to her current one, marketing manager at Google.

If you had told Marta, when she graduated from University, that one day she would be working at Google, she would have laughed in your face. She absolutely owes this to living in Israel, as her Israeli network opened doors one by one, taught her the skills, and led her to this incredible opportunity.

Marta is a true zionist, she believes Israel is an ongoing miracle she feels blessed to witness everyday. Even with the many things that still needs to improve in this country, she is excited to be part of the day to day evolution which is this country. Her work at Google, helping startups, she believes is an important part of the mission of Israel - to be a light upon the nation and bring innovation and growth to this country, and beyond.

When not working, she is traveling the world, for work. When not doing either of those, she is practicing her yoga, taking the long walk home, listening to a podcast or at home playing cards with her boyfriend.Marta is a big believer in positive thinking, manifestation and boutique Israeli wine.

Aliya is a Berkeley native, raised and influenced greatly by the rich Bay Area food scene. She brought this foundation for fabulous food with her and sought out the international offerings here in Israel. Realizing that much of what she was looking for was either not authentic, expensive, or inaccessible so she began making my favorite foods in my own kitchen. Everything from homemade tortillas, udon noodles and curries. Simultaneously, she started sharpening her skills in Israeli food - everything from shakshouka, to couscous to stuffed grape leaves with the goal of making these recipes accessible to non-Hebrew speakers.

At this time Aliya was pursuing an MA at Tel Aviv University and realizing she couldn't sustain waitressing forever, she decided to do what she loves and started to teach cooking. Drawing on the knowledge from her childhood, travels and what she had taught myself, she opened the school out of my own kitchen in 2016.

Since then, the school has flourished. she currently runs about 5 classes a week both in her home and in off-site locations, with both Israeli and international menus. she also partners with organizations and high tech companies to offer bigger classes for local professionals

About Citrus and Salt

Get a look into Tel Aviv life with this personalized cooking lesson. All classes are hosted by a local chef in their home where you can see, taste and smell the local food and spices. Israeli food is all about passion and we will channel that into the flavors we produce in the kitchen, making things that both taste delicious and can be made again and again in your own home. Classes generally span 3 hours depending on the menu one chooses- anything from classic Israeli dishes to Moroccan favorites to Jewish holiday pastries.

Efrat Lev was born in Israel and immigrated to Australia at the age of 5. Her parents were Chabad shlichim in Sydney and my father was the Rabbi of the Israeli community there. When she was 18.5 we moved back to Israel and settled in Efrat. She went to Midreshet Harova followed by Hebrew University where she got my degrees in International Relations and English Literature. She also married my husband, who she had met in Australia and they have 3 children.

Efrat had bad scoliosis and asthma growing up and wore a back brace throughout high school. She was very academic and sports was never her thing. She was always picked last for teams in school and always preferred to sit on the side and read a book during Physical Ed classes.

Efrat's pregnancies were extremely difficult because she suffers from a condition called Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), unrelenting vomiting throughout pregnancy. Her last pregnancy six years ago was the most difficult. She was bed ridden, on IV medication and steroids and lost a lot of weight. While many women focus on losing their baby weight after giving birth, she only wanted to get stronger. What started as just walking gave way to strength training with 2kg dumbbells and it was literally love at first sight. She was fortunate to have a home gym as her husband is an ironman, as well as a doctor who has little time to get to a gym.

In that home gym she taught myself to powerlift with a small gym bar, a hell of a lot of YouTube tutorials and a real determination in my heart to never be weak again. When Crossfit opened in Efrat, a good friend told her she must try it out and even though she was still generally clumsy and hadn't trained in a group setting, she went. Crossfit truly skyrocketed my potential and within months she was lifting weight she never thought possible.

The owner and head coach casually suggested she go to Wingate to get certified as a health and fitness coach and after 11 years of being a stay at home mum, Efrat embarked on a year of study. Upon receiving my certification, she went on to get certified as a Crossfit Level 1 trainer and started working at Crossfit Gush. Along the way she also met her powerlifting coach who introduced me to the world of competitive lifting.

Although she trains men, women and children, her passion is to strength train women in all stages of life. There are so many myths and misconceptions regarding this field and it is her absolute passion to break the stereotypes and introduce women to the numerous benefits of strength training.

Born and raised in Manchester until the age of 18, I did a year in Israel with Bnei Akiva and came back to the UK to go to university in Leeds. I studied Sociology and moved to London for 2 years after I had finished my degree. After working for a Jewish NGO in London I decided I wanted to make aliya, so 13 years ago I took the second flight from the UK with NBN to Israel. I studied at Ulpan and then quickly moved to Tel Aviv. After many jobs, i worked in tourism, as a PA, online gaming and back to tourism I decided I really wanted to study to become a personal trainer.

The course was 7 months at Tel Aviv University and all in hebrew- which I was not fluent in. I was determined to pass so I worked double hard and translated all the courses in to English so I always knew what was happening in class, I passed and started working at Holmes Place Dizengoff Centre soon after. After a year and half working for minimum pay, I decided to take my profession outside and started working for myself at Toolbox gym. It’s been nearly 4 years of a lot of ups and downs and learning how to work for yourself and becoming a better trainer. I don't know if it was the best decision I made living in Israel alone with no family to support me here, but I care a lot about health and fitness and I really want to make a difference to women and show how they can become strong and look after their bodies.

Then this time last year I decided, after listening to hours and hours of podcasts that I would like to start my own podcast - focusing on women who had made aliyah and started businesses or just had a great aliyah story to share. It’s been a major learning curve, I am learning something new everyday and really seeing it grow. I hope I get to interview even more amazing women this year and that I can reach even more people in 2020.

Since Tamar was 5 years old, she always dreamt of making aliyah. she knew that it was the home of the Jewish people and she always kept her eye on the ball. Then in 2015, right after she graduated from Stern college, she moved to Israel. While she has a few siblings in Israel, she was single and had no real plan. Luckily, she met her husband just two months after. He had also just made aliyah and together they joined forces and built the life they have today.

They now live in Ramat Beit Shemesh. Her husband works for a cybersecurity company and she is a home organizer. It wasn't easy finding these career paths but now they are as happy as can be. Helping others build their best life by teaching them organizational skills is a dream that she had for quite some time and to see the reality of it, there is truly nothing like it.

Bridie moved to Israel with her family in 2004, before going back to England for high school.

In 2014 Bridie came back as an adult, met her now-husband, started a business and a family.

Transferring skills from a sales and marketing job in the UK, Bridie setup as a freelance Social Media Manager before quickly realizing that small business owners needed much more strategic planning, than social media management.

With over a decade in social media and marketing experience, Bridie is now building a course that makes her advice much more accessible to the average small business owner.

Ilana made Aliyah from Canada in 2008, after finishing hrer university studies. She always had a strong connection with Israel, and her Savta was born and raised here. (She moved to Canada after marrying her Saba). Her parents raised me with strong Jewish & Zionistic values, and my family regularly visited Israel.

After completing her training in Journalism, she went home to Canada to pack her bags, and made Aliyah shortly after. Ilana worked in the journalism field for a bit, but then decided to transition into high-tech, in a marketing & PR role.

It was during this time, that I was experiencing some health challenges, and started to explore nutrition as a path to better health. In 2018, coming off of my second maternity leave, I decided to do a complete 180-turn in my career and obtained my certification as a Culinary Nutrition Expert (2018).

Ilana offers a foods-based approach to wellness. My focal area is on helping women figure out which foods can best support their health, at various points throughout the female life cycle. Her goal is to make healthy eating as easy and simple as possible.

Here are the services she is offering at this time:

· 1-on-1 personal nutrition session – to address a particular health goal or health concern

· 1-on-1 cooking lesson – we’ll make 2 recipes together while discussing the nutritional benefits of all the ingredients.

· Family cooking workshops – participants get the ingredient list in advance and then I’ll host a live, small group class where we make 4 recipes together.

· Meal prep – I’ll be offering a weekly meal plan subscription – to help reduce the stress around meal prep, keep families healthy, and help people stay focused during their grocery shopping & save money

· Postpartum nutrition – I’m working on creating a webinar-style postpartum nutrition session. This will help women who are currently pregnant or recently gave birth understand how to best prepare for nourishing themselves in the 4th trimester and into the first year postpartum.

Pearl grew up in London and when she got married she moved to Manchester where she brought up her family. Pearl worked in finance for a while but always wanted to work with wellbeing and the helping professions. It was around the time approximately 12 years ago when she was studying psychotherapy that she found EFT Tapping Therapy or rather EFT Tapping Therapy found her !! She knew then that was for her and so she made it her business to be the best Practitioner she could be.

Pearl also worked for nine years Camp Simcha UK which is an organisation that supports families with children with life threatening conditions. She was the Manchester case worker and offered emotional and practical support to the parents.

Pearl made aliya with her husband to Jerusalem in February 2017 and as she had been working so many hours in UK, she didn't quite take in the fact that she had left her comfortable and familiar life in Manchester and was embarking on something so new.

In her mind she was going to seamlessly continue working and continuing my lifestyle.

But she am not a person who dives into the unknown and thats what it felt like !! Pearl walked into Ben Gurion airport and then it hit her and only then what had she done!!! She was in the deep blue sea and she cant swim. She actually found it quite hard at the beginning.

What was most familiar to her tho was her work, so that's where she put her energy. Pearl saw clients privately, ran different tapping groups - for people who made aliya and found it stressful, for people wanting to lose weight, for people who wanted money and abundance. She works online and in person. and then she found people wanted to be trained in these techniques so she became an accredited trainer just over a year ago so that she can train others to work professionally.

Pearl is a workaholic but always has time for her family and in her spare time you can find her playing cards and games with my grandchildren.

Meet Amy, aka @theasianisraeli. 5 years ago, this native Californian decided to become Israeli. Looking back on her life, no one would have guessed it. Coming from a mixed family, she had very limited exposure to Judiasm or the Jewish community. It wasn't until her second year in college that she truly started to explore her Jewish identity. And with the help of an Israeli shaliach, she discovered the love of her life, Israel. It was then that her life path began to point towards the Middle East. She started the Israel Advocacy group on her campus, became the President of her Hillel, and decided she wanted to work in Jewish non-profits. Upon making Aliyah she went to Ulpan Etzion in Jerusalem, quickly launching her career in marketing for Jewish nonprofits. Although she loved the spirituality and and meaning of Jerusalem, after 3.5 years she could no longer ignore the calling of the sea. She moved to Tel Aviv where she began working in hitech as a content manager.

As most love stories, Amy & Israel have a complicated relationship. You see, being both a paternal Jew, and and Asian-American in Israel, on top of being a lone-olah, comes with many challenges. Being a blogger from age 16 and an avid social media user, Amy decided to share it all by launching her Instagram account, @theasianisraeli. From Sabich wars to election breakdowns, check out her Instagram account for olim struggles, mixed-girl perspectives, and at minumum, a good laugh. Bonus: she has a cute puppy named Mindy.

Michal Berman made alliyah from NY after finishing college, 8 years ago. She came to join the army as a lone soldier through garin tzabar, a program that lets you live with other lone soldiers. This was one of the most challenging and incredible decisions I made.
Following my two years service as a shooting instructor, Michal started her graduate program in art therapy in a means to help soldiers through art therapy. It was important for me to offer other types of therapies for people who might have a difficult time opening up.
After graduating she moved to Tel Aviv and joined forces with Natasha Miller Gutman and opened up a new location of Tel Aviv Art Studio. A studio that offers art classes for adults, children and teens, paint nights, birthday parties, figure drawing and art therapy. Michal is proud to not only be a business owner, and doing something she loves but following her dreams and offering art therapy to soldiers.

This process has been so hard and incredible. It shaped who she is and just makes her what to connect with others and show them that they can do anything.

There are moments that occur in life that can change everything that follows. For a mother to hear that something is developmentally different about the children; that is one of those moments. Deborah French lived through this moment twice by the time she was 26 years old. During the birth of her second child, she discovered that her baby was born with Down’s syndrome. And then when her first child hit two years old, she was told he was on the autistic spectrum. Raising one child with special needs is a task fraught with challenge and takes a special parent.

After making Aliyah in 2007 with her family, now a mother of five children, Deborah and her husband established the Mazal L’Chayim program in schools in the Sharon region. It’s target to educate mainstream children about children with special needs; breaking down social barriers that exist, paving the way for acceptance and ultimately inclusion.

As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and published author by profession, Deborah incorporates the powerful tools of CBT into her now Nationally Award winning program to bring about meaningful change in perspective and a chance for introspection for every pupil she has taught. Deborah has educated over 1300 students, since opening in 2013.

Helena made Aaliyah in January 2019 from London and went straight to Ulpan Etzion in Jerusalem. She moved to Tel Aviv in June and continued my freelance content writing business, but found that there simply weren’t many fixed networking events that offered her a space to grow my business and network with likeminded individuals.

Which is why English Speaking Networking was formed – to offer a space for business owners and professionals looking to learn, grow and develop through regular networking. With her launch only in September we have close to ten members in Tel Aviv and will be opening a branch in Ramat Beit Shemesh in January.

Maxine was always connected to Israel as she visited many times from an early age and she was also very involved in a Zionist youth movement. When she was 21 & 23 years old, she was a passenger in 2 separate car accidents that changed my whole life. It got her started on her healing journey. After a year and half travelling, my final destination was Israel to meet her family and her brother who was living there. She had the best time and knew it was the place she was meant to call home. Maxine went back to London for 3 years to do a Bsc in Acupuncture, a reflexology training and many other healing courses and then moved to Israel 12 years ago to start my aliya journey.

When she moved to Israel she started out as an acupuncturist and holistic practitioner and then after a few years discovered breath work. Maxine went on a deep personal and professional Breath work journey which completely changed her life. She has spent the last 20 years supporting people on their own journeys, Maxine is a student of life and has a deep thirst for knowledge.

Apart from offering one to one sessions from her clinic in Tel aviv and Pardes Hana, she offers a variety of groups, workshops & breathing circles. She also facilitates on a number of retreats and am a co founder of the Red Tent Tribe women’ events & retreats. In November 2019 Maxine offered the first Dance of Life breath work retreat which was a longstanding dream.Maxine feels its a calling. she loves what she does and loves the amazing people she meets and gets to work with. She has been witness to so many different aliyah experiences through my clients and she is constantly humbled to witness peoples courage and determination.

Last year, she left Tel Aviv and moved to Pardes Hana with her husband and 2 boys.. They were looking for more quiet & space. Both my children are in montessori education and we live a more outdoor lifestyle :)

Before Lisa and her family made Aliyah, Lisa was working as a registered nurse in New York. She had started in adult organ transplant at Mt Sinai Hospital, and then moved to school nursing at SAR High School. It was there that she fell in love with teaching.

When they made Aliyah is 2008, it was difficult for her to leave by job behind. When she arrived in Israel, she was informed that just weeks earlier the country had cancelled their high school nursing program. So she worked odd jobs while settling in my family.

Meanwhile, when Lisa was pregnant with my third child, she developed terrible lower back and pelvic pain. Even after the baby was born (her first Sabra!), the discomfort did not go away. It seemed as though everything in her body had shifted. Her scoliosis became more pronounced, her hips misaligned, her pelvic floor shot, and her superficial abdominal muscles had split wide open and wouldn’t close back in.

Nothing felt right. All of a sudden, she was weak and fragile. Her back would go out at the slightest misstep.

To this day Lisa can’t remember exactly who led her to Pilates. She think's it was a doctor. Or an acupuncturist? A friend? It’s all a blur. But she has been practicing consistently for more than 10 years. Pilates has completely mended her.

It became clear to me that she needed to train to teach Pilates. At first, it seemed like a detour from my nursing background- one that she was overly apologetic for. But the more she learned about Pilates, the more she realized that her nursing training and Pilates training went hand in hand. In fact, most of the private clients who she works with now had suffered from some kind of injury or medical condition and they feel at ease knowing that she can read their x-rays or understand their underlying conditions.

It has all come together in ways that she could never have anticipated. She opened her studio 5 ½ years ago and just this year Lisa launched my online Pilates Program. She is learning every day and she is just so grateful for all of it.

Danni Franks was born in Edgware and went to JFS.  She fell in love with Israel during her 5 month trip to Givat Washington in 1987.   When she landed at Ben Gurion for the first time in my life age 13, she burst into tears, kissed the ground and felt like she'd come home.   That feeling never left her. After Uni she worked in Marketing at Sky TV and Disney.
Danni quit Disney to move to Israel and 5 months after she made aliyah she had the seed of the idea for Myisrael planted.  It came from a conversation with the founder of Crossroads- one of Myisrael's adopted causes - that she still supports today.  It took her two years to formulate the idea of Myisrael, a year to get it up and running and it was launched in March 2008.

Valeria was born in NY in 1977, when her argentinean parents were immigrants in U.S. while in Argentina there was a dictatorship.

After 7 month they decided to go back to Buenos Aires, so this was her very first adventure.

She grew up in a suburban town of Buenos Aires province, in a warm and beloved family. As she grew up, she discovered that in my family we had roots from two religions: Catholic and Jewish.

The Jewish part of her family was almost completely assimilated and there were almost non traditions and only few stories of how they had arrived from Bessarabia (now part of Romania) to Argentina, passing through Turkey.

Valeria's upbringing was basically secular and my education was in public school and public university. She graduated from the University of Buenos Aires as an architect and after finishing my degree, she visited Israel for the first time. At that time her father and sister were here, her father being the first to reconnect with Judaism and having done aliyah.

After that trip my great transformation and personal growth began. In addition to exploring other cultures, she began a personal exploration that led me to appear for personal growth.

Valeria have been living in Israel for almost 9 years. Currently she is dedicated to personal growth through coaching. She founded her company ¨TRIBU coaching¨ and created the program “Architecture of Life”. Her passion and life mission is to help and facilitate her clients transformation process and personal growth to achieve an extraordinary life and well-being in all aspects.

Gila Levitan, Tour Guide: Originally from Sydney, Australia, she moved to Israel for 14 years ago. In Australia, she was involved in the Zionist Youth movements and spent a year in Israel between high school and university which helped build the foundations for her love and support of this unique little country. After moving here in 2005, she pursued her career in Physiotherapy however, eventually she decided to do become a licensed tour guide in order to pursue my passion for exploring and travelling around Israel. Gila is very curious and likes to know all the little details, which is may be why she loved working in research, but she also loves people and being a guide enables her to teach people about a place that she loves and helps them on their own path of discovery about all the treasures that Israel has to reveal. Gila is the only female guide in the top 10 on TripAdvisor and awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2019.

When Lily was only 18, a regular blood test that showed that I was suffering from high cholesterol. That was her personal wake up call. She spent time living with her older brother, then a chef in Los Angeles, who got me thinking about her health - not about being pretty or thin or even dieting.

Lily responded to his enthusiasm and started learning how to cook nutritious meals for herself. Two months later, she left for college. While her friends gained their freshman 15, she lost 30 pounds. More importantly, she kept it off through 10 years of marriage and 4 pregnancies. In fact, she is in better shape than she was at her wedding. She hasn't dieted and or given up any food group.

What she does is live a healthy and balanced life. She is grateful for the tremendous energy and vitality this has given her. Lily feels empowered to be strong and confident for myself and for my growing family. It drives her to share my passion for holistic wellness.

Lily received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she studied numerous dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. She became a fitness mentor for users in 2016. I work holistically with clients to make lifestyle changes that produce real and long lasting results. For all her social media links:

As a teenager Nina was very wild and free spirited, she was working 3 jobs at age 15. Nina became pregnant with her son at age 21. When he was born everything changed. She moved to her parents home in Hollywood, Florida and was exposed to a modern Orthodox community and started learning at Aish HaTorah. She decided to go on Taglit Birthright through Aish. Her son stayed with my parents and I went on a journey to the other side of the world, Israel. After the trip she moved to Israel with her son.

Nina brought the Paint nite craze to Israel. She goes around the country bringing her creative, confidence-boosting, self-esteem enhancing workshops to you. This popular Paint and Sip business is sweeping the world and people are trying something they never thought they could do. They bring all the supplies including canvases ,easels, paint brushes and everything needed to turn your space into a personal Art Studio. Within an hour and a half we teach you how to recreate a beautiful piece of artwork all by yourself. You don't need any experience to be able to do this and they promise that everyone succeeds. Often these events are accompanied with food and drinks. We work with hundreds of businesses, organizations, restaurants, schools and people throughout Israel.

Nina has a masters in gifted education. She believes art and painting are extremely healing and therapeutic and confidence-building. They work with cancer patients , victims of terror, women shelters, children's homes and so much more.

When Molly moved to Israel it seemed that the joke was on her. As a new immigrant who barely spoke the language and only had a vague understanding of what Zionism is, she found myself surrounded by new Israeli friends who laughed, not only about the Holocaust but even about terrorism.

Baffled, she slowly became accustomed to the dark humor because it did have a bright light at the end of the tunnel. It was a writer of the most popular satirical comedy show in Israel, “Eretz Nehederet,” that got to the punchline, so to speak. He said, “There is nothing funny about the Holocaust, but there is everything funny in surviving it.”

So now that's what she does- she brings the light around the world, with comedy lectures, improvisation workshops and stand up shows, to explain our journey, whether it is being Jewish or not, Iiking Israel or just trying to understand it, the complicated peace process or just hummus. Molly puts it all out there and makes you a part of it. One laugh at a time.

Nomi studied Fine Arts at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, and while doing my B.F.A (majoring in Painting and Drawing) she started taking baking and cake decorating courses on the side as a different creative outlet, since she has always loved baking. After graduating Nomi decided, instead of continuing my studies in the Fine Arts, to move to London, England and studied Patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu London. While studying she began working as a pastry cook in the Tate Modern Museum, creating pastries and desserts for the cafes and restaurants in both the Tate Modern and Tate Britain museums. Shortly after starting work there she was invited to come for a trial shift at Nobu Berkley Street, a (at the time) Michelin Starred restaurant in central London, after which she was offered a job and continued working there for two years. She was awarded Pastry Chef of the Year for Nobu’s London restaurants, and when her visa was coming to it’s end was offered the opportunity to do a trial shift at Eleven Madison Park in New York. She flew to New York and after my two day trial was offered a position with them as pastry chef de partie. After leaving London and returning home to Toronto to arrange a U.S visa, she was notified that she wouldn’t qualify for a U.S. work visa, which was devastating and left her in a position of having to decide whether to return to London or remain in Toronto. She decided to stay in Toronto and give it a go. She began working as a Pastry Chef de Partie at a restaurant called Luma in the TIFF Bell Lightbox, and soon became their Head Pastry Chef. After working with them she joined friends who had started a high-end Kosher restaurant pop-up business, as their pastry chef, and eventually went on to open a custom cakes and dessert business of my own in Toronto called Roq Dessert Co. through where she was lucky enough to create custom desserts and sweet tables for Lise Watier Cosmetics and Tiffany & Co. among others and had my work featured in a luxury bridal magazine called Wedluxe.

While back in Toronto, Nomi came to visit friends and family here in Israel to have a change of scenery and a bit of “fresh air” and while she was here she decided that she really loved it and wanted to stay. She moved here two months later, In August 2017. She wanted to have a totally fresh start and try something new so signed up to be a participant on Israel Experience’s Israel By Design program and interned at the David Intercontinental hotel in Tel Aviv, where she interned in their Conferences and banqueting department, as an Events Manager. It was a great experience and allowed her to get a sense of Tel Aviv, meet new people and start to adapt to life in Israel. After the program shse made the decision to make Aliyah, through Nefesh B’Nefesh in April 2018. Since making Aliyah she has started and grown a business, gotten engaged, and really started to build a life here and Ishe couldn’t be happier :)

Xoli Ormut Durbin was born in Hong Kong to Canadian parents who were working there. She stayed in China until the age of 18, at which point she did a brief stint in Israel, and then 3 years study at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia (Graphic Design). During her time in Australia she worked in many Restaurants, Cafes and Jazz Clubs and came to love the Hospitality Industry. Upon deciding to make Aliyah in 2008, she started working as a bartender immediately in order to learn the language. The only person she knew here was Howie (from South Africa), her best friend. She came to Israel with no community, no friends and hardly any family, and I was missing that neighbourhood feeling I knew so well from my years in Australia. She and Howie decided to open a Cafe - the name Xoho is a combination of our two names. Over the years there have been some notable women in her circle that have really helped me to turn her vision into a reality, and she is forever grateful and humbled. Israel has not made it easy, but she is catering to a community that she felt didn't have a gathering space yet, and it is amazing to see her dream come to fruition.
