In this episode we take some term and learn a bit more about Artificial Intelligence and Artificial General Intelligence, my guess this week Dennis has been working in tech for the past couple of years and has taken the part year off to explore Artificial Intelligence and he has decided to share some of his learning today on the Podcast.

We discuss the difference between Artificial Intelligence and Artificial General Intelligence and ask a couple of questions:

Can AGI create new knowledge?

Can it and should it decided on it won what is a problem and if it should solve it?

What is a Problem? Are humans a problem ?

What is a Person?

What are the financial interceptive to building AGI?

If AGI has free will and we tell it what to do - do we make it a slave?

Should we pay hire and pay the AI ?

If so what do we pay it in and what is it going to do with the money?

More importantly is it going to create its own brand of AI porn ?

To find out the answer to all these questions be sure to tune in on the last episode of The Labrador Energy Podcast!

You can find Dennis on twitter @dchackethal and check out this series on AGI - Artificial Creativity on youtube.

This past week I had the chance to sit down and speak with Nikhil Nair, a very interesting guy, originally Indian, studied at Oxford, worked in the UAE, US, Uganda and now lives in Kenya. Nikhil is currently working for a commercial enterprise in Kenya focused on bringing solar energy to areas with no energy at all.

Nikhil is purpose driven and is committed to enact some real change in the world!

We went into a bit of detail on what this entails with regards to solar energy and also spoke about the unique payments system present in Kenya - M-Pesa, which allows citizens of Kenya to bypass the need for banks and such just by using their mobile phones, think old Nokias.  We also told a couple jokes and went into a bit of detail on why Kenya has a relatively large Indian population and what happens at Indian weddings and how arranged marriages are set up!   Super fun conversation and I think both myself and Nikhil can agree that this was a great bit of cultural exchange. Romanian in Berlin and Indian in Kenya, looking forward to experiencing more and more of this cross cultural interactions. If you want to keep an eye on Nikhil you should definitely check his Instagram @ hereiamnikhil

Nikhil definitely has Labrador Energy!

Quick Update on the Podcast everyone.

After experimenting for a couple of episodes I have decided to take it in a more fun direction for both myself and the guests.

As such, the podcast has now been regraded to The Labrador Energy Podcast - the goal is to interview more people with Labrador Energy and just generally explore what that means. So I will focus on talking to guests that have a need to keep moving around, that have a need to constantly explore and try new things - with this hopefully we can learn a range of new things from very global, adventurous people that just can’t stand still.

The first episode I’ve of this new format features Issac Tay - a comedian, entrepreneurs who just wrapping up his Trans Siberian Journey and has arrived in Berlin. Issac is Singaporean, I’ve know him for a couple of years from the comedy scene and he is also a founder of a food delivery startups in South East Asia called honestbee.

Check out this Episode of Labrador Energy to learn more about Issac and his adventures!

Please let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions!

You can find Issac on LinkedIn lol! as he has not yet set up a facebook page.
