We're Totally Fine. It's episode #107 of the Totally Normal Podcast, and we're talking Avengers Endgame Postgame and everything is perfectly not confusing.

We've assembled just as many badass TN women as Peter Parker has new moms so, buckle in for a supersize podcast as Jamie, Nikki, Lorena, Zanib Cassidy and Emily talk about our Endgame feelings.

Things like did Natasha get screwed?

What parts made us cheer?

Why did Marvel take 20 movies to figure out how to write a compelling female character to make us feel something?

What made us cry?

Really poignant comments that even a demi-god can suffer from depression and a mid-life crisis. Where does this leave Loki? and in the end, The Real Hero, the sacrifice and the parts that had us all crying our eyes out.

We love you 3000, Tony Stark, You did good.

And now, here are all of our feels on Avengers Endgame.

Witches and Wizards, we've come to the end of Chamber of Secrets on episode #106 of the Totally Normal Podcast. We've hit the climax of the book and on this episode, Lorena, Jamie Zanib and Emily have figured everything out, kind of.

We don't know why the Hogwarts teachers are slow to act when their brilliant 12 year-old students know everything. Including finding clues that everyone else has missed! The professors are queens of shade however and ready to be rid of Gilderoy Lockhart, I mean who isn't?

Why did Dumbledore not share information pertinent to Harry's survival since he obviously knew how to save him, and what was going on! talk about manipulative.

On the topic of the Basilisk, did you know a rooster could kill it?

Should the puncture wound on Harry's arm from the fang have killed the horcrux in Harry?

Dobby's reward was just perfect and the deliciously evil Lucius Malfoy and his flowing locks of luscious blond hair, swoon!

and finally what other anagrams could we get for Tom Marvolo Riddle?

Tune in and find out!

We'll be back in June for Prisoner of Azkaban so be sure to follow us on all the social with the #TNtalksHP and subscribe to the podcast on Itunes. And now, Let's talk Harry Potter with the Totally Normal Hangout: Chamber of Secrets.

Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast Episode 105.

We are in the pr-egame now. We're talking Marvel's Studio's Avengers:Endgame with a pre-game podcast and Team Normal is here to break down all of our theories.

Don't worry, we don't spoil the Endgame. We've got overarching questions, theories on who lives-who dies, who stays dead, who defeats Thanos.

Is there time travel?

Is the soul stone done with Thanos?

Who are the terrible people who would even think of spoiling what we have waited eleven years for, and the conclusion of the Infinity saga.

We're all geared up and now into the Quantum realm with Team Normal for Avengers Endgame Pre-game!

It's episode 104 of the Totally Normal Podcast And on Harry Potter and the Totally Normal Hangout we're talking chapters 11-15 of Chamber of Secrets with Jamie, Emily, Lorena & Zanib.

It's a lot to cover like, The Dueling club and How dumb was it that Flitwick, champion dueler, wasn't even involved and Snape literally had to protect the students from Lockhart. But at least the students could learn something...

Hermionie and the polyjuice potion had everything planned to a T! Except, where was the Slytherin common room again?

Why did we never get to see Percy's point of view this year and his love for Penelope Clearwater.

Hagrid's inability to provide decent advice, direction or counseling.

Yet again Lucius Malfoy was right in wanting to remove Dumbledore, and lastly, the thing we most would have loved to have seen in the movies was the Valentines Dwarves, and did Ginny send Harry the valentine? or was it secretly sent by Draco?

It's Harry Potter and the Totally Normal Hangout and on this episode we welcomed Cassidy to Hogwarts and dive into chapters 6-10 of Chamber of Secrets where we get up close and personal with Kenneth Branagh's filmography.

Like between Jamie, Emily and Cassidy, our Kenneth Branagh love/hate game is strong especially when it comes to his portrayal of Gilderoy Lockhart. We also try to figure out how someone like Lockhart can still get away with what he does, even in fiction, and how can Hermione who is smarter than this put up with him.

Emily played HQ Trivia and won 30 whole cents. There was talk of Ghosts and Binn's History of Magic Class and again with the lesson planning and curriculum of Hogwarts and then we went to the afterdark section with a look at Madame Pomfrey fanfiction, Oh Poppy!

Be sure to follow us with the #TNtalksHP on all the socials and subscribe to the podcast on Itunes. And now, Let's talk Harry Potter with the Totally Normal Hangout: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Chapters 6-10.

Calling all She-row's It's episode #102 of the Totally Normal Podcast and we are Talking Marvel Studio's Captain Marvel. We are here to say the future is female and here to stay. And Carol Danvers is not taking any of your crap.

While our That's Normal panel of didn't completely agree on how this movie worked as an origin story for Captain Marvel, and had some pacing issues some loved it, some were just so so, we had a great discussion and broke down every element the film.

From the Skrulls and the Kree to 90's music. As well as our new-found love for Flerkins.

Were Carol and Maria actually girlfriends and not just friends?

Also The real villain of this movie was toxic masculinity as proven by the trolls who tried to sink the film before it even came out. and failed miserably.

What we did agree on, is that Thanos is going to be screwed. So buckle up avengers, April can't come soon enough.

And now, Higher Further Faster Baby, with Talking Captain Marvel!

You are listening to the Totally Normal Podcast episode 99! It's hard to believe we have that many hour long hangouts for you guys to delve into, but we totally do.

This week, it's the third edition of A Hangout of Witches, where we get deep into the fan theories about the events in episodes 5 and 6 of A Discovery of Witches. These episodes had some of the weirdest bits of the whole season, and we all agreed there were some pacing issues with the intensity of that vampire love ... I mean, did Matthew fall in love with her DNA markers OR WHAT? But it's a great prelude to that last episodes of season 1 ... WHICH we will be discussing in the upcoming podcast.

Join us LIVE if you haven't before ... it's the best way to enjoy the discussion. In the meantime, enjoy us in your ear holes, NOT LIVE.

We have more Hangout of Witches coming your way. Rate and review and tell your friends, witches.

Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast episode 97 and the VERY FIRST episode of our brand new hangout/pod ... A Hangout of Witches, all about the new show on Sundance Now and Shudder (or Sky One if you're a UK person), A Discovery of Witches.

We have been waiting and anticipating the day when Hangoutlander doesn't take up so much of our time so we could delve in to this very genre, very cool show with all of you.

Tons of our readers found ADOW through two of our biggest, most favorite fandoms: twilight or outlander, so it's a perfect fit for us and for you.

Beth, Nikki, Emily A and Janna dive right into the Thames to jumpstart our conversation. Hope you enjoy. Join us in two weeks for the second edition of A Hangout of Witches where we will talk about episodes 3 and 4! Enjoy!

This is the Totally Normal podcast ... episode 96! It is the very last edition of Hangoutlander for the foreseeable future as Outlander season 4 has come to a regrettable end.

But with every ending there is a new beginning (as our new favorite show, A Discovery of Witches tells us) as we start a brand new show this week The Sycophantic Outlander Positivity Hour Event ... wherein we spend as much time as possible being as Outlander Positive as possible.

It's a good time, and we made it almost 20 while minutes before Hangoutlander came back. Because well ... season 4's finale was not everything it could have been. And we don't say that as crazy book adherents but as real fans who just WANT THE SHOW TO BE GOOD.

If we've said it once, we've said it a million times. We hope you enjoy our final Hangoutlander for this season, and stick around with us next week for A Hangout of Witches

Welcome to the Totally Normal podcast. This is our 95th episode and the 12th episode of season 4 of Hangoutlander!

It's almost over, everyone. Pretty soon we will go back to our regularly scheduled, barely updating podcast.

JUST KIDDING! We still have our Harry Potter hangouts and a new series ... A Hangout of Witches is beginning on Feb 5th (2019)!

That's right, if you are loving A Discovery of Witches, or if you haven't watched yet and mean to, we are going to be breaking it all down on the Lunar New Year like good witches.

But back to Outlander: it's the penultimate episode, Roger is in a hut, and we are mostly bored. BUT there is good stuff too if you don't mind never seeing Jamie and Claire. Heists! Lord John being a snack!

Enjoy me and Nikki with newbie Elise and guest Andee as we talk episode 412, Providence.

Join us Monday 1/28/19 at 9 pm ET for the LAST Hangoutlander of the season!

Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast Episode 94.

It's another edition of Hangoutlander with Beth and our newest writer who found us thru her love for Outlander, Elise.

We take some time this week getting to know Elise and how she found Outlander and us, and then we had a great discussion about a not great episode If Not For Hope, episode 411.

If you love hit us over the head themes, Claire and Jamie not QUITE getting their own motivations right (thanks, writers), telling instead of showing and totally wooden acting then you might have been into this episode.

But we ... were not. Elise is more gracious than we are, but she's new.!

She'll get jaded along with the rest of us soon enough. Join us soon for the penultimate episode of Season 4! Enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Totally Normal Hangout.

Potter-Fam, we've made it to the end of book one. We're covering chapters 11-17 of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. On this episode we talk about the character flaws of beloved half-giant Hagrid and eleven-year olds having to shoulder his dragon drama, the sadness of Harry seeing his extended family in the mirror of erised, how the Malfoys were not wrong about some of the stupid stuff that was allowed to go on at Hogwarts. Were the challenges teachers put in place too easy if first years and logic could solve them?

And then we got in deep, real deep-- like,

How did Quirrell Sleep with Voldemort on the back of his head,

is there Centaur fanfic?

and how bad did it smell under that turban. Really, we went all in on this episode.

One of our more serious and heated conversations came on the heels of the Bree and Roger episode of Outlander. Down the Rabbit Hole took adaptation seriously ... and for most of us, in the wrong direction. But don't worry ...getting tartan serious also means getting boozy and ridiculous. Hope you enjoy this live convo where we explore the age-old Outlander question: WHY, writers? WHY did you do this?

We hope you enjoy this convo. Because of the Holidays, we will NOT be having Hangoutlander on 12/24 or 12/31. Happy Holidays and we can't wait to catch up on ALL the Outlander we're missing because some executive thought it was a good idea to show two shows while everyone is totally disconnected from pop culture and the internet...

Until then.. Catch us at http://Thats-Normal.com/Outlander

Welcome to episode 88 of the Totally Normal Podcast.

It the season finale of Doctor Who and on TARDIScuss Laura, Lorena & Emily talk about The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos. It might have been a season finale but everybody lived!

That said Fam, while the episode had lots of Doctor Who elements, you can be sure the ladies talked about everything from what was up with the mist? Who were the Ux? The return of dun. dun. dun. lazy writing? We did get a fist bump, Graham will always be the better man, perhaps because we had some issues with lazy writing, there weren't enough hills to die on. Judge for yourself.

Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast episode 77: Hangoutlander 402 DO NO HARM

Well, guys— this week was a tough episode… As you know, Do No Harm dug talked a lot about slavery and enslaved people and had an especially difficult ending.

We want to acknowledge first and foremost that we are so completely aware of the fact that Hangoutlander is normally a group of 3 or 4 white women discussing Outlander. That’s always been a problem to us and something we discussed long before this episode- we are aware that there is not much diversity among the writers and commenters on our team. But we were extra aware this week knowing we were going to have a discussing about slavery.

Beth did a great job with her recap of DO NO HARM and I encourage you to read it if you haven’t yet here: https://thats-normal.com/2018/11/top-ten-moments-from-outlander-episode-402-do-no-harm/

She let the voices who should have the stage to discuss this episode do so. And we were thrilled when our friend La'Shay took us up on an invitation to join us on Hangoutlander this week. La'Shay is an avid Outlander Fan, a book reader, she’s lived in Scotland, and she’s a woman of color.

We loved hearing La'Shay’s take on the episode- what she he loved, what didn’t work for her and what she wishes they had done differently. It was great to have a new voice on Hangoutlander and another book reader to outnumber Bekah and Julie who can’t remember anything from the books.!

Thanks for listening. Remember we do this each Monday at 9 pm ET on You Tube with the podcast to follow a few days later. Catch all our Outlander coverage here https://thats-normal.com/outlander

Bree and Roger officially "reconnect" in America, and then begin a Benny Hill sort of misadventure, complete with pirates, Stephen Bonnet, a rape (why?!), Brianna meeting Jamie for the first time, Roger meeting the in-laws in a field and then getting beat up and sold. And of course it all centers around a massive (and weak plot point) misunderstanding.

We also spend a lot of time talking about being a Cooper or barrel maker!

Enjoy this episode of In The Waterweeds.

We recorded this podcast, NO LIE, sitting on a bed at San Diego Comic Con this past July. If you don't believe us, you GOTTA watch the video of this convo! Find it here!

Shockingly, this is not our first hotel interview with our author besties- though it might be the first time on the bed!

This past SDCC was a great excuse to catch up with our fav romance authors, talk about how their lives have changed in the past 5 years and rave about the latest book you guys are going to love: Josh and Hazel's Guide to not Dating-- coming out on 9/4! Find it on Amazon Here.

This book is like OLD SCHOOL C&LO, not that we haven't devoured everything SINCE Beautiful Bastard but this feels like C&Lo of yesteryear. It's fresh, it's so them, it's so 2018. We can't wait for you guys to read this one!!

We talk about their other projects- those upcoming and those from the past few years, as well as if we'll EVER see C&LO books on the big or small screens!

Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast Episode 59 Hangoutlander 313. THE END.

That is not the name of the last Outlander episode of the season, but I'm calling it THE END anyway.

We did it! We survived 13 episodes back to back (with one week break) of Outlander! We survived Season 3 and leaving Scotland! We survived multiple attempts of unnecessary Rape! We survived Claire and Jamie being CONSTANTLY torn apart! We survived, we did it!

Our team was full this week to discuss the last episode of the season. We get into Outlander DRAMA (like conservative fans telling actors who don't care to stay out of politics), what we REALLY thought of the episode (feelings we were mixed or as Bekah said "I was watching it....") and our hopes and dreams for Season 4.

Just because Outlander is done for the season does NOT mean we're going anywhere. Next week we're back with Boozy Book Club (Monday 12/18 at 10 pm ET) and we' have a lot of Outlander coverage and posts planned over on Thats-normal.com to get us through Droughtlander.

Thank you for listening this season! We loved your comments, your thoughts, even when you disagreed, and we'll be BACK with more Outlander sooN!

See you on the web! (and next week on the podcast again...!)

If we sound tired it's because we just finished a great convo with Bekah, Heidi and Julie as we discussed this week's episode of Outlander: The Doldrums.

To be honest, it was not the most exciting episode for us, but somehow we stretched our convo into an hour and had an amazing chat happening online with those listening live on Twitter using the hashtag #Hangoutlander and from the HILARIOUS You Tube Commenters!

From confusion to the setting of where the port was, to feeling a bit icky about Fergus and Marsali, the convo was all over the place. Plus @Purelyamuse on Twitter gave us our mantra that we're adopting for the Show:

Let's Willoughby the Hell out of the Rape Culture on Outlander

Welcome to the Totally Normal Podcast Episode #47 Hangoutlander 301— we are back with the First live recap episode of Outlander Season 3.

We have to be honest- we recorded this almost 2 weeks ago and have completed FAILED at getting this podcast up in time. We are so sorry!

But back when we recorded this, Bekah and Nikki were together on one couch in LA and joined on camera with Beth and Julie- the gang was back together again! It was like we were just sitting on one of our beds at Comic Con, albeit less drunk on Bud Light than one of us was back in July. Spoiler: That was Bekah.

This chat is probably the most love you’ll ever hear us give Outlander— on Hangoutlander anyway!

Speaking of Outlander love- our website http://Thats-Normal.com is killing it with Outlander coverage lately, especially as we’ve been rolling out Nikki’s videos and coverage from her set visit last Fall of Outlander in Scotland. Welcome to the Totally Normal podcast where getting drunk and talking about books is totally normal.

For Boozy Book Club our September books were Gayle Forman’s Leave Me and Neil Gaiman’s American Gods.

One was the adult debut of one of our favorite Young Adult authors, and one is the highly acclaimed fantasy novel that we are super anticipating coming to our TV screens and laptops on Starz next year.

Amy and Beth were joined by Hangout newbies: Courtney and Danelle. We had a great time trying to figure out why we just couldn’t relate to Gayle Forman’s protagonist Maribeth and why American Gods is totally and completely indelible.

We hope you enjoy this Boozy Book Club and join us for the month of October as we read Melina Marchetta’s newest Tell the Truth Shame the Devil and The Regulars by Georgia Clark.

It's the #Hangoutlander Season finale! We were so excited to come together this past Monday night to discuss the finale of season 2 of Outlander, partly because it's exhausting to talk about Outlander week after week with only one break, but also because.. it was the finale! There was so much to discuss and that we did!

There were some varied opinions on our team which included Bekah, Nikki, Beth and Julie from That's Normal, plus Kyle from Hypable.com AND a very special guest and TN reader, Joanna. We definitely disagreed on some of the ways the finale fell short and on things we liked, but overall we thought it was a decent finale that was missing some key elements that, to be honest, were probably missing all along this season. Namely Jamie and Claire! We watch the show because we fell in love with their love while reading the books. And overall we just feel that the show has been lacking.

Beth wrote an incredible post this week that you should check out that talks about Putting down the book and looking at the TV show for what it is:

http://thats-normal.com/2016/07/putting-book-outlander-season-2/

Just because Outlander is over does NOT mean that the Totally Normal Podcast is over or that Hangoutlander is over!. Stay tuned as we bring you more podcasts (live from comic con anyone?) and we'll be back with Hangoutlander during the break between now and season 3- we have a lot to talk about preparing for Voyager.

We also discussed Roger and Bree and what they are going to be doing in the finale. And we talked about Jamie and Claire and their lack-there-of a connection this season. Plus we made predictions for the finale and a little bit of season 3.

We opened this episode trying to say "Je Suis Prest." And we failed. One thing was clear- none of us speak French!

We had a great convo this week though it was a smaller than normal crew from That’s normal. We talked about #HatGate- the name we’ve lovingly given our confusion surrounding a recent picture of Sam Heughan wearing what looks to be a photo-shopped cowboy hat.

Then, of course we talked about the episode which was Beth’s favorite of the series. We had some differing opinions on the PTSD edition that we don’t see in the books, and we ended the convo with a real quick chat about how Outlander is going to take over our Sunday nights from this moment forward since they announced both season 3 AND 4 would be made!

Plus this week we gave away a copy of the Outlander Kitchen cook book to a lucky LIVE viewer!

Hangoutlander returns this week with special guests, Ginger and Summer from Outlander Podcast!

These girls have been chatting about Outlander (the books, the show and the fandom) for over 3 years. We loved having them join our panel from TN including Beth, Bekah, Tiff and Julie as we discussed episode 4 of season 2: La Dame Blanche.

Love it or hate it, this episode really moved the plot of this season forward … and by plot we mean Jamie and Claire’s relationship. For all our celebration over the end of the real Droughtlander, there were tough times too: Mary Hawkins’ attack and that crazy three stooges fight scene.

We hope you enjoy our discussion about Jamie’s PTSD, how Outlander handles rape, and what we’d like to see in … season 3?? Already? Yep.

And join us this Monday night, May 9th for another LIVE hangout as we discuss episode 5. RSVP here: http://bit.ly/hangoutlander205

Welcome to this week’s Totally Normal Podcast Episode #25,

In this week’s podcast we discuss Outlander Season 2 Episode 203, entitled “Useful Occupations and Deceptions.” So you know another episode of lying and trickery and French espionage, probably some lady’s boobs and yes.. another dry spell.

Sitting in for That’s Normal was Beth, Amy, Julie and Nikki.

Shit got crazy in this week’s discussion, there was boxed wine there were about a billion Tweets (thanks everyone for playing along) and ultimately a discussion of WHAT ARE THE PRODUCERS DOING and WHERE IS SCOTLAND? We are all Murtagh and we’re homesick for those bonny shores. Anyway you know how we’re feeling.

On next week’s episode we’ll be joined by Ginger and Summer from the Outlander Podcast. RVSP here

Sit back, relax and let’s get started!

Welcome to Boozy Book Club: MOVIE MONTH!

In this edition of Boozy Book Club we're talking about books and books to movies. If you really enjoy book to movie adaptations, then this is a really great episode for you to listen to.

In March we read The Light Between Oceans and Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children, both of which are heading to the big screen this fall.

The Light Between Oceans stars Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander and Rachel Wiess, and Miss Peregrine's stars Eva Green and was directed by Tim Burton. Both of them look really incredible.

So this month, our book clubbers (Beth, Tiffany, Amy and Anne) discussed how movie adaptations affect our reading of the book. How casting choices affect character as well as delving into which characters we had sympathy for or not.

This hangout was recorded on April 4, which was a big day in TN world as the season premiere for Outlander was happening in NYC, so we had a bit of FOMO going on. In fact, Boozy Book Club will be taking a bit of a podcast/hangout hiatus while we spend the next few months having weekly Hangoutlander episodes to discuss the new season of our favorite show. So get ready for regular podcast updates.

Our first Hangoutlander episode will be Monday, April 11th at 10pm EST. Don’t miss it. RSVP here

And if you love Boozy Book Club, please come along with us this month as we read Fellside by MR Carey. It’s the newest thriller from the author or The Girl with All the Gifts, and while we won’t be doing a live discussion, we will be talking about it on the blog and in our group on Goodreads.

So enjoy our discussion about using lube as frizz ease, missing out on the Outlander premiere and oh yeah … books to movies.

Welcome to Boozy Book Club: ROMANCE MONTH!

This conversation was recorded on February 29th- that's right, it was LEAP DAY!

We talked about February Book Club Books: Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren and The Rouge Not Taken by Sarah MacLean

It was a small crew- just Bekah, Beth and Julie. But we had a great chat together. We stupidly thought we'd talk for just 30 min and get to bed early. WRONG.

We ended up doing a fun FMK (Eff/Marry/Kill) with some of our favorite Christina Lauren characters; We talk about regency romance and how Sarah MacLean writes it differently than other authors we know. And we had a lot of great conversations about some of favorite romance books.

Mark your calendars for our next Boozy Book Club on 3/28 at 10 pm ET where we'll be reading Books that will soon be MOVIES: The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman (BEKAH SAYS THE WRONG NAME ON THE PODCAST. WE'VE SINCE FIRED HER*) and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

*No we didn't, but we did lock her in the dungeon. Tobias is there. She's fine.

We know you're under the impression that we're calm, cool and collected no matter which celebrity we're interviewing, author we're casually chatting with and hot actor we're flirting with over TN's Twitter (@thats_normal - hit it). And that's true. We play it cool.

Until now.

If you've been following us for awhile, you know that Beth has been singing C.S. Pacat's praises for The Captive Prince series for years now, and when we got the opportunity to invite her to join us for #TalkingNormal and the Totally Normal Podcast, we never actually thought it would happen.

But it did.

So listen as Beth, Lindsey and Lauren (of Christina Lauren fame!) fangirl all over C.S. Pacat (Cat!), fall in LOVE with Cat because she's adorable and amazing, and learn behind-the-pen secrets about KINGS RISING and the Captive Prince series.

If you haven't read these books: Spoilers abound. Bekah was around for this chat too as tech-in-charge, and she hasn't read the books. But after listening to the conversation for an hour, there's no way she hasn't moved them up to the very next spot on her TBR list.

Want to watch us fangirl instead? Catch the conversation on You Tube here

Welcome to Episode 17 of the Totally Normal Podcast: Holiday Hangoutander: Outlander is coming to town

That’s right, though we don’t have any new Outlander to talk about until April (Oh yeah- it looks like Yahoo confirmed it IS actually going to air in April this week), we thought we’d get together with the ol’ gang to discuss what’s been happening in the fandom, the new teaser trailer that recently dropped and…. well, who needs an excuse to get drunk on the internet and talk about Sam Heughan? NO ONE NEEDS AN EXCUSE.

This conversation was all over the place. From our theories on Roger and Bree, to Outlander Holiday gifts- which BY THE WAY, there are some good options, including our very on That’s Normal store so we added that to the show notes, and FINALLY at the very end, our thoughts on the Teaser Trailer, this is an Outlander conversation you don’t want to miss.

Speaking of stuff you don’t want to miss, our next Hangout is December the 22nd AFTER the crew has seen Star Wars The Force awakens. Our last Star Wars chat was our most popular Hangout and podcast YET (sorry Outlander!) so we’re excited to talk about Star Wars again with you guys!

We hope you enjoy this conversation and, oh yeah, you definitely need to stop on over to That’s Normal to check out our thoughts on the casting of Roger!
