Too many business owners are stuck trying to do everything themselves and their businesses are suffering as a result. The SCALEit Method® teaches you how to get unstuck, reach the next level in business, and scale beyond 8-figures. All business owners face similar challenges when it comes to growth, and on this podcast, Allison Maslan delivers the tactics you need to get unstuck, reach the next level in business, and scale beyond 8-figures.
Jeni Britton Bauer built a $125 MILLION ice cream empire from a farmers market stall, and the secret started with a scone she never got to eat.
How do you go from dropping out of art school, riding your bike home to make ice cream, to 90+ scoop shops and thousands of grocery stores across America? Jeni Britton Bauer, founder of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams and now Flora & Company, did exactly that. And in this episode she reveals the counterintuitive philosophy behind it: listening fiercely to your customers, staying bootstrapped by design, and knowing when to finally let go.
Jeni gets beautifully real about the moment a missing orange scone at a coffee shop completely changed how she ran her business, and what happened when she stopped thinking like an artist and started thinking like a CEO. We go deep on surviving a company-threatening listeria crisis, building a culture so strong it runs without her, and how a walk in the forest led to her next $100 million idea.
This one lit me up. I think it will light you up too.

Steve Harward built a $110 MILLION company from nothing and the secret had nothing to do with hustle. How do you go from zero to nine figures across three brands and 400 employees? Steve Harward, founder and CEO of Prime Corporate Services, did exactly that. And in this episode he reveals the counterintuitive philosophy behind it: radical generosity, deep listening, and the willingness to let go. Steve gets beautifully real about the moment he finally stepped away from running support emails and doing payroll at $22 million in revenue, and what happened to the business when he did. We go deep on how giving without expectation has generated some of his biggest partnerships, and why listening for what he calls the "heart spark moment" in every conversation changed everything. This one moved me to tears. I think it will move you too. In this episode: • The pivotal decision that took Prime from $20M to $60M and beyond • Why Steve spends $1 million a year on gifts (and why his CFO hates it) • How to turn simple connections into high-value strategic partnerships • The review strategy that generated 8,000 five-star reviews and why it matters • Leadership lessons from managing 400 employees with heart • Why you're one conversation away from your next big breakthrough If this inspired you and you're hitting a ceiling in your growth, and you're truly ready to scale your seven-figure company: Click here: www.MyScaleSession.com to book a one-on-one Deep Dive Scale Session with a CEO Strategist on Allison's team at Pinnacle Global Network. Allison Maslan sits down with Traci Stumpf to talk about why personal presence has become one of the most important leadership tools for CEOs today.
This isn't about having the perfect logo or polished branding.
It's about how you show up.
In this episode, Allison and Traci discuss: • How founders can build trust and connection on camera • The difference between performing and showing up authentically • Why visibility builds credibility with teams, buyers, and partners • How to create content without overthinking it • Why repetition is the fastest way to get comfortable on camera Why CEOs are now expected to be visible in a way they never were before • Why your personal brand matters just as much as your company brand
One of the biggest takeaways from this conversation is simple:
Your company is not the only brand people are evaluating. You are the brand too.
For founders and entrepreneurs, leadership presence matters long before you ever make an offer. If you want to scale your company, strengthen trust, and show up with more confidence and clarity, this episode will challenge the way you think about visibility, authenticity, and influence.

[19:08] Allison on her old school closing technique for live events using pen and paper. Instead of just sending a virtual link for people to click and put their credit card in, Allison suggests a classic and proven communication and connection strategy.
[30:43] Learn to capitalize on the energy and excitement of the session and close clients before they leave the room by transitioning to getting emails during the talk, give free gifts and more information to open the opportunity for follow-ups.
[00:36:19] Instead of relying on ads, tap communities and associations with some free training. Education-based marketing is always the best because it builds trust and connection with you first.
[41:10] How niched is your niche market? Allison provides a new view on how to look deeper into the target market and tap into the audience waiting for you to help them elevate with your products and services.

I'm delighted to have the opportunity to interview the acclaimed online dating coach Evan Marc Katz, who has been guiding hundreds of smart, strong and successful women in their pursuit of finding love since 2003. It's remarkable how the process of hiring the best fit for a romantic partnership is reminiscent of business recruiting when it comes to ensuring success.
Don't miss our fun and insightful exchange of ideas on this new episode of the 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝘾𝘼𝙇𝙀𝙞𝙩 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙙 podcast ▶️ The Dating Game of Recruitment.
Key points covered in this episode:
[08:14] Evan on perfecting the art of online dating profile writing. No matter what you're searching for, it is always important to make sure you are highlighting yourself and the benefits that your potential mate or spouse would reap from being with you. The same is true in finding the Mr. Right and Ms. Right for your business.
[12:00] Evan on the biggest gap in his business and the common challenge of every business owner wanting to scale. Micromanaging is a difficult thing to let go of for many CEOs.
[17:11] Your business will only scale when you decide
to replace yourself. ☝🏼
Harness the collective power of a team to increase your success exponentially - and replicate your talent, product, methodology, and signature process to unlock your highest potential and expand your capability to deliver what you do.
[39:11] Coaching allows you to see beyond every aspect that you're so used to seeing. If things are how it always has been – you will only keep creating that same pattern over and over.
[47:26] When people are looking for a job, they're looking for 'a place to live' because they'll spend more time on your business than with their families.
The most passionate and devoted candidates will come to you if your workplace prioritizes culture, vision, and purpose before skills and other qualifications. People who are the best fit will stick with you throughout their employment, as they will truly feel at home.
[53:00] Allison on what a scalable model really means: replication and multiplication. When you're the one still delivering your product or service – that is not scalable.

The pursuit of growth relies on our ability to conquer the blocks created by our thoughts, emotions, and memories.
I have my dear friend for many years, Joe Stumpf, joining me in this episode to teach overcoming these blocks and strategies he knows best that have helped many entrepreneurs around the world realize their true potential in the past 39 years.
He believes that people can be their own coaches and find themselves already having the answers to their greatest questions. Joe teaches the approach of mastering oneself through this program, Private Work.
Tune in to this powerful new episode ▶️ Take Your Power Back with Your Thinking with Joe Stumpf.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Take your power back with your thinking and intention.
If there's one crucial thing we should work on in the new year, it is to be resolute in working on our inner game. 🧠 ✨ Become intentional in giving yourself the space to rest and think. The truth is, if you don't grow yourself in this aspect, you will sabotage your company.
✔️ Remember, your brain is for processing, not for storage.
Joe reminds us of the necessity of unloading and taking care of our minds to become more functional and full of ideas rather than being overwhelmed and burned out. Whether it is journaling, meditating, exercise, or the many other forms out there -- choose the ones you can do and stick to consistently.
✔️ Building something successful and significant requires more time doing nothing.
Working toward a goal is no longer just about the hustle and go, go, go energy. 🙆🏼♂️ You get more inspiration and clarity in moments when you take a break, be able to zoom out from your life and business, and experience new aha! moments that solve all the other things you were overwhelmed, bothered, and stressed about. Stop running all over the place and find peace and prosperity in making the pause.
✔️ Transformation takes place with consistent fresh thinking.
Private Work is a platform for people wanting to transform from the inside out. Joe shares, "First, it helps you see what is repetitive. When you start to notice the patterns appearing, you can make the right choices from there. That's self-awareness. What can I do to strengthen it, lengthen it, or starve it and replace it with purposeful thinking?"
JOE STUMPF owns one of the country's most prominent business and life coaching companies. He has worked with some of the world's most successful entrepreneurs and business people. As a coach, Joe guides people through the four growth phases Survival to Stability, Stability to Success, and Success to Significance.
Joe teaches that meaningful usefulness comes from introspecting daily and asking deep questions about who you are and what contribution you can make to the world with wisdom and awareness. PrivateWork Self Coaching, The Art and Science of Cultivating Insighfulness, invites you to engage in a proven process of introspection.
All it takes is the willingness to invest 10 minutes a day, 4 or 5 times a week, to do the introspection work required to expand self-awareness to its fullest significant potential.

Mentoring other business owners one-on-one is my passion; helping them make great traction can be the most rewarding thing in the world.
BUT I know I couldn't help that many people. If I were to see five or eight business owners in a day, I could never get to the 800, 8000, or 800,000 business owners change their lives.
I made a decision early on that I wanted to build a team-managed company that didn't depend on me because I didn't want to be the guru. There are a lot of other people that have so much wisdom that they could bring to the table. With Pinnacle Global Network, we have the best CEO mentors who help me create a lasting difference.
▶️ The Multiplier Mindset
✔️ If you are still delivering the products and services in your business, you cannot scale.
Do you find yourself stuck in your business's day-to-day, checking off to-do lists and running errands? You may save money by doing these tasks, but you're losing more. The $10,000, $100,000, or even $1,000,000 opportunities will not work within your business if you stay as the worker bee instead of ruling the hive.
✔️It's not about working harder— but working less, smarter, and faster.
My client, CEO & Founder Marshall Doyle grew Cal-Cert Calibration Certification the company scaled by nearly 2000% since he took control in 1999. The figures looked very good; however, when he came to work with us, we discovered he hadn't taken a vacation in 20 years.
He was already in the multiple 7-figure range and had 35 employees. Like any driven business leader, he was micromanaging. And he was still working 60 to 80 hours a week.
We aided him in getting out of the weeds of the business and being the visionary he is. We helped him add many new revenue streams so he could do upsells and cross-sell. Now, Marshall works 90 minutes a week in his business, and he started taking a lot more vacations and spending time with his family, which they were pretty happy about! He's purchased over ten more companies and ultimately changed his life.
✔️ Do the things that your competition is not doing.
Look at your competition and assess:
The scalable strategies we share with our clients at Pinnacle Global Network allow them to play where others aren't yet and raise the game in an ever-changing market.

Scaling Lessons from the Jeff Bezos Letters with Steve Anderson
In a rapidly changing market, the need to experiment and test new ideas is more important than ever. Businesses that stick to the formula they've always done will fall behind, while those that take risks have a much higher chance of scaling beyond 8-figures.
Strategic risk expert and author Steve Anderson joins this new week's episode to share his powerful insights into the mind behind one of the world's biggest companies. He talks about how to leverage risk, prioritize customers, the value of choosing product experimentation, not innovation, and more.
Tune in to this insightful new episode ▶️ Scaling Lessons from the Jeff Bezos Letters with Steve Anderson.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️There's much to learn from disruptive companies that have come and gone. There is more we should duplicate from those that sustain the lead, like Amazon. Steve Anderson shares how his interest was piqued by reading every shareholder letter from 1997 to 2017 by Amazon champion Jeff Bezos. He created a book from that wealth of valuable information that became a Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and international bestseller.
✔️ Adapt Bezos' Day 1 Mindset. The idea of day one is a thread that goes through every letter he writes. "It's not a day, but this mindset of going into your business every day and thinking, this is the first day we're in business. The excitement, the challenge, the how do we serve our customers best? And that mindset really is infused throughout Amazon still to this day."
✔️ "To be the Earth's most customer-centric company." Amazon created multiple billion-dollar businesses by being willing to think about the customer first. Steve shares how Bezos uses the phrase frequently and invents new solutions on the customer's behalf. The Kindle, for example, completely changed the publishing business. "Did they innovate on the book, or did they invent a whole new way of consuming books? When Jeff talks about the Kindle, he says they had the audacious goal of replacing the book that's been around for 500 years and being able to start reading a book in 60 seconds or less; that was the goal."
✔️Encouraging successful failure. Bezos always emphasized the need to build a company culture that allows experimentation to take place without punishment. "Employees know that they can try out new ideas, test them, even the crazy ones that actually could work. Bezos says that you will fail when you do an experiment when you're testing something by its very nature. An experiment means you don't know the outcome. And if you know the outcome, it's not an experiment."
Steve Anderson, MA, is a trusted authority on Risk, Technology, Productivity, and Innovation and has over thirty-five years of experience in the insurance industry. He holds a master's degree in Insurance Law.
Anderson is a professional speaker, writer, and "futurist." His speaking portfolio includes presentations on the future of technology, the influence of social platforms, how businesses can leverage the internet, and how they can assess and use risk to their advantage. He was chosen as one of the original 150 LinkedIn Influencers and has over 340,000 followers.

Former NFL linebacker Anthony Trucks was a force to be reckoned with on the football field. After a series of what he considers unfortunate made fortunate events, the athlete's mindset kept him standing back up and conquering business and life.
Tune in to this insightful conversation ▶️ Shift Your Mindset and Scale Past 7 Figures with Anthony Trucks.
✔️ Anthony Trucks' story reminds those that hear it that they can always change for the better. He was given away to foster care at age 3, so he chose not to be a victim of his circumstances. He became a former NFL Athlete, author, international speaker, and life guide that took him many shifts to become the most excellent version of himself.
✔️ The lack of understanding of your identity impacts your ability to lead your business successfully. Most leaders don't want to see any chinks in their armor. Anthony shares, "We have this EGO, Everyone's Greatest Obstacle. The inability to pull the ego back and look at the area within them that needs some improvement is protecting parts of their identity that are not beneficial to their future."
✔️Shift your identity to match your dreams. Have you hit the ceiling in your company? It's time to make a change. Anthony says to check in with yourself and commit to being an energetic match in embodying that next level of you.
✔️You may be the common denominator in all your problems — whether you created or allowed it. Learn to open yourself to the possibility of letting your ego stand in the way of accepting your flaws.
✔️Adapt the football mentality. This means identifying yourself with your efforts. "Sometimes that may mean I'm wrong, imperfect, or didn't do great right now. Don't be the person who identifies as knowing it all and never taking other insights. In football, you're one of the best in the world. But every day, you go to practice, and every day you watch the film, and every day gets yelled at. It doesn't mean you're horrible, but you got more room to improve."
✔️ Be at peace with the pieces you lay each day. Anthony shares that to get out of living in this rigidity and the stress of "I'm not just there yet," requires stepping back and appreciating who you are and what you can do in the present. "Settle in and be at peace with the pieces of the foundation you lay down daily and create moments with people you love — your spouse, children, and friends. And then tomorrow, go put another piece and then walk away being at peace with the work you laid each day."
Anthony Trucks is a former NFL Athlete, American Ninja Warrior on NBC, international speaker, host of the Aww Shift podcast, and the founder of Identity Shift coaching. He uses cutting-edge science and psychology to upgrade how you operate so you can elevate your life and business to reach your full potential. After being given away into foster care at 3 years old, being adopted into an all white family at 14, losing his NFL career to injury, and more, he learned how to shift at a very young age, and now his life mission is teaching others how to Make Shift Happen in their lives.

Building a powerful and consistent brand is vital for any business to SCALE. 📈💼💰
LinkedIn Personal Brand Strategist, writer, public speaker, and learning and development coach Marietta Gentles Crawford joins the SCALEit Method® show to share her top recommendations for building a powerful online presence. Learn how to leverage social media to strengthen it and invest time, money, and the right mindset to ensure that your company sends the right message.
Tune in to this insightful new episode ▶️ Create A Strong Brand To Scale Your Business with Marietta Gentles Crawford.
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️Are vanity metrics in the way of showing the authenticity of your business personality? Marietta says that focusing on the external pressures to create that perfect persona may get in the way of deeply connecting with your target audience. "When we talk about visibility, we talk about reaching our target audience on social media. Sometimes we lose focus and prioritize what's going to get likes and what's going to get attention."
Whenever you post, please think of how you can add value to someone else rather than how it will help you look a certain way.
✔️ The REAL-er you are, the more customers you attract.
How much of yourself are you willing to open up? When people come up to you and say, "Oh, my God, your story is my story. I can so relate to your journey," it makes the best connection. Be authentic so that the people you hope to serve can resonate with you.
✔️ Whatever you do, it has to be from a place of: "What's the lesson I want to share that will help somebody else? Marietta says, "When we talk about visibility, we talk about reaching our target audience on social media. Sometimes we lose focus and prioritize what's going to get likes and what's going to get attention. Going back to removing that noise and being secure in your own truths is important."
Whenever you post, please think of how you can add value to someone else rather than how it will help you look a certain way.
✔️ Personal branding does not mean perfection. Building a solid brand requires sharing the challenging aspects and experiences you weren't proud of but are necessary to help others make sense of their own journey. "It's important to show that sometimes when people see you at one stage of your career, there are different iterations you had to go through to be that person."
Marietta Gentles Crawford is a personal brand strategist, writer, public speaker, and learning and development coach. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies like Macy's, JP Morgan, Pfizer, and more. She has contributed articles to major publications like Business Insider, Forbes, Fast Company, Thrive Global, The Huffington Post, and The Muse.

Does it feel like you KNOW what to do... but you just can’t trust yourself to stick to it long enough to make it happen?
If that’s you, check out this episode of The Scale or Fail Show with Chalene Johnson!
Chalene is a multiple-time 8-figure CEO, fitness leader, marketing expert, and social media rockstar…
… But as someone with ADHD, she constantly felt held back and like she was hitting a profit ceiling, because she was getting distracted by stuff that wasn’t moving forward.
It was only when she made focus - not work - her #1 priority that EVERYTHING changed.
In this video, Chalene quickly shares the 6 simple changes that helped her blast through distractions and reclaim her focus - so you can use them to hit your “really big” goals, see results faster, and break through to next-level profits.
As a CEO, you can do a lot on your own. In fact, even if you’re at the 7-figure mark, you might have gotten there all by yourself!
Here’s the truth, though...
If you want to scale to a really high level, you absolutely need a team.
It can’t be any old team, either. You need a full-on dream team that’s just as dedicated to your vision as you are!
I know, I know. You might be thinking,
“Allison, there is NO ONE out there who cares about my vision. I’ve tried - there are barely any good people out there to begin with!”
If that’s you, then you check out this episode of The Scale or Fail Show - where Pinnacle Global Network CEO Mentor Vicky Brown and I share exactly how to create the team that will scale your business and bring your dream to life.
One of the most common things I hear from CEOs at the 6 and 7 figure mark is this: “I’m working more than ever, and we’re growing faster than before - but I’m still seeing the same profits. And that’s in a GOOD year! Aren’t I supposed to be making more money??” If you’re at this level, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. The truth is, once you’re at the $1M mark, you can’t get to the next level in profit by doing what you’ve always done - especially not if you’re doing it all yourself. Otherwise, you can take on more and keep working like crazy… and you’ll always hit that “ceiling” of growth in your company. In today’s episode, Pinnacle Global Network CEO Mentor, Gina Ruby, and I share how we help our high-level clients consistently break through their profit ceilings - so you can maximize your profits, finally hit your next “big money goal,” and get your life back in the meantime. “What we achieve in our lives in exactly what we want to achieve in our lives.”
Naveen Jain is the founder of multi-million and billion dollar companies - including Viome, Moon Express, InfoSpace, Intelius, BlueDot and TalentWise.
His key to success?
Nailing down and committing to his VISION, no matter what.
At last month’s 10th Annual Level-Up LIVE, Naveen shared exactly how to use your vision to achieve your “impossible” goals… even in the face of doubt, failure, and your toughest challenges.
We all know that starting, running, and scaling a business isn’t easy. Everyone talks about the fact that at some point, we’re going to fail. It’s part of the journey. However, there’s one thing almost no one talks about: the DOUBT we feel along the way. The truth is, even the biggest CEOs (who’ve scaled into the millions and billions) have had to push through a lot of uncertainty and fear that you’ll never see. The good news? If they can do it, you can, too. On this episode of The Scale or Fail Show, I talk to Kara Goldin, founder of Hint Water and author of Undaunted: Overcoming Doubts and Doubters. Kara started her company with zero experience in the beverage industry, scaled her company to over $150M, and created a whole new drink category with her innovative product. Along the way, though, Kara has hit a ton of obstacles - both internal and external. In this interview, she shares exactly what she’s done to stay resilient, overcome her biggest doubts, and scale a business that everyone told her would fail.

If you want to scale your business, there’s one step you cannot afford to skip - and it’s this:
You have to start by nailing down your Strategic Vision.
This is a non-negotiable… because if you want to scale, you need to know where you’re going.
If you don’t know your vision - or you have the WRONG vision - it’s like getting into a car without a destination. You’re going to work and work and still not go much of anywhere, because you can’t go somewhere if you don’t know where “where” is!
On the other hand, when you have the right vision…
You can hit your biggest goals in the toughest situations and continue to thrive no matter what.
In this episode, I talk with Pinnacle Global Network CEO mentor, Gila Kurtz, all about how to create the perfect Strategic Vision for scaling into the 7, 8, even 9 figures and beyond.
Here’s the truth: If you want to scale up in 2021, you have to go from one to many… ESPECIALLY in your marketing and sales strategies. You have to replace yourself - and you have got to stop jumping in to fix everything (even though that is what you’re used to doing!) In this video, Allison Maslan shares the specific scale strategies you need to use to get out of the day to day and take your business to the next level in 2021.
We’ve all heard those inspirational stories about CEOs who started out with nothing - the ones who are so resilient they seem like they can overcome anything.
But if you’re anything like me, you want to know how they ACTUALLY did it… so you can apply those strategies yourself!
That’s why I loved this action-packed episode of The Scale or Fail Show with Dan Young of @Dansmillionairecode. Starting years ago with no money (and a lot of debt), Dan Young is now the founder and CEO of multiple multimillion-dollar companies in tech, real estate, and beyond that have been included in the INC 500 fastest growing companies in America.
And in this interview, he shared the specific strategies you can use to create a resilient company that thrives, grows, and SCALES no matter what.
We covered everything from how to create unbreakable customer loyalty to hiring the perfect team. If you want to know how high-level CEOs really continue to uplevel during the “tough times”... you’ll want to listen.

Business owners are some of the hardest working people out there.
And for the most part, that’s great. Dedication is key to success. You wouldn’t have gotten this far without it!
But here’s the thing…
You will never hit major success by grinding.
If you want to grow your business to a really high level (become an industry leader, break 7 figures, go global, hit the Fortune 500 list, etc) hard work alone will never get you there.
You need to work smarter, not harder -- you need to scale.
To do that, you’ve got to find your “Multiplier.” This is the thing will help you multiply your growth, impact, and profits… without multiplying your workload at the same rate.
And it’s easier than you think.
So today, I’m doing a one-on-one with you and sharing all the different strategies you can use to massively grow your business and get out of the grind.
When it comes to scaling, you ever feel stuck between making a profit...and making a difference?
It’s understandable. Most people assume that scaling a business (or just business in general) is an every-man-for-himself situation. Either you fight your way to the top and focus on profit alone, or you’re a bleeding heart who sacrifices money to help others.
But that’s totally the wrong way to look at it.
In fact, if you really want to grow your company to a high-level, you HAVE to focus on how you’re helping people! Your market, audience, and clientele are the very people who will launch you forward.
No one knows this better than today’s guest on the Scale or Fail Show...
Yanik Silver is the founder of Maverick1000, a private, invitation-only global network of top entrepreneurs and industry leaders. This group periodically assembles for breakthrough retreats, rejuvenating experiences, and most importantly, global impact opportunities - to date raising over $3M+ with participating icons.
Yanik’s lifetime goal is to connect visionary leaders and game changers to catalyze business models and new ideas for solving 100 of the world’s most impactful issues by the year 2100.
Basically, he’s an expert at scaling a profitable business and using it to make a beneficial impact on the world...and on today’s episode, he’s sharing how he does it.

Make sure to tune in!
In 2019, Americans spent about $7.2 billion dollars in the pet industry.
I’m sure that doesn’t surprise you. Most people see and treat their dogs as part of their family.
I know I love my little bulldog with all my heart - who knows how much I’ve spent on her!
For pet-centered businesses, this means there’s a lot of demand...
And it also means there’s a lot of competition.
So if you want to make it in the pet industry (or any saturated market, really) you need to become very creative and super resilient.
That’s why I am so excited to share today’s guest on the Scale Or Fail Show, Candace D’Agnolo.
Candace D’Agnolo has been in the pet industry for over 16 years and has successfully translated her passion for pets into multiple million-dollar businesses. She’s the founder of Pet Boss Nation, a coaching and consulting community for pet businesses who want to increase profits through inventory planning, cash flow road maps, marketing, goal setting and more.
Candace is nothing less than an expert at what she does. She knows exactly how to deal with the unique problems facing pet-based business, but her strategies and tips are helpful for business owners of any industry (especially those in retail!).
If you’re looking for a success story, Candace is it - and she’s more than willing to share exactly what she’s done to get there.
If you’re like most small business owners, you probably don’t think about selling your company very often - and you probably think even less about buying others.
After all, you’re not planning on leaving your business anytime soon… and acquisition sounds like something that’s only for “big league” corporations and enterprises, right?
Wrong!
Business is a long-term game. Even if you’re not ready to sell or buy right now, you need to be thinking ahead.
You have to plan for where you’re going, not where you’re at.
I’ll be honest, it’s not an easy process (for either side). I myself have left thousands of dollars on the table by preparing incorrectly or not at all.
And that’s why I’m so excited to have today’s guest on The Scale or Fail Show.
Marshall Doyle is the CEO of Cal-Cert Calibration Certification, the country’s largest independent provider of calibration services serving the construction materials industry. Under Marshall’s leadership, he has grown this worldwide company nearly 2000% percent since he took control in 1999 (which is one of the many reasons he was awarded Oregon’s 2019 SBA Small Business Person of the Year).
But in addition to growing Cal-Cert, he’s acquired and sold MANY other companies on the side.
He’s in love with what he calls “the business of business!”
After having gone through the process so many times himself, Marshall is an expert at buying and preparing businesses to sell, and now teaches and mentors small businesses across the US how to do it with his proprietary process, Small Business Coaching LLC.
And today he’s sharing his biggest tips - so you can do it, too.
Marshall is an all-around fantastic resource for business owners. This is a must-listen for anyone planning on buying or selling a business, no matter what phase of growth you’re in right now.
The single most important thing you need to possess as a business owner is a vision - or in other words, a sense of purpose. And not just any purpose, either.
You need a big, grand, take-your-breath-away vision. Something that lights your soul on fire, that gets you up every morning, and motivates you to push through times of confusion, discomfort, frustration, and even crisis.
It’s purpose that will continually take you and your business to the next level.
But… how do you find that purpose?
How do you make sure it’s not just fulfilling and joyful, but also viable and profitable?
And most importantly, how do you maintain that level of business passion??
If you want to go big with your company, you must answer these questions. That’s why this week on The Scale or Fail Show, Allison Maslan brings on a total expert on “going big” - Ajit Nawalkha.
Ajit is a highly-successful entrepreneur, CEO of Mindvalley Publishing, Co-founder of Global Grit Institute, Coach, and Best-Selling author. Having been through more than a few business journeys of his own, he specializes in helping business owners manifest their true power and create the life of their dreams.
And today, he joins Allison to talk about his latest book Live Big: The Entrepreneur's Guide to Passion, Practicality, and Purpose - which will help you do it yourself.
Everybody knows what it’s like to be misunderstood. If you’ve ever spent more than 5 minutes talking to someone who just doesn’t get what you’re saying, you know what I mean!
Humans want to know they’re being heard. And that is especially true when it comes to business.
That’s why if you want to create a highly-successful (maybe even global) business, you’ve got to make sure communication and understanding - with both your clients and your employees - a top priority.
Nobody knows that better than Elizabeth Colon, founder and CEO of Metaphrasis, a leading interpretation company. A highly-trained interpreter and Spanish-English bilingual, Elizabeth leads interpreters of over 200 different languages. Her vision is to make the world a place where everyone feels not just heard, but understood.
She’s also seen how interpretive services can transform and upgrade businesses to a new level.
And today on The Scale or Fail Show, she’s sharing how you can use them to open your company in ways you probably never thought of.
If you had to choose, which would you pick: profit or passion? I ask because for most business owners… it really feels like an either/or choice.
Either we hit our first 7-figure year, or we enjoy our job.
Either we make our quotas, or we light up when we think of our company.
Either we go global this year, or we get to have fun while we work.
But what if I told you that you don’t have to choose? Or even that you shouldn’t? What if I told you that just by shifting your mindset and creating a new story (especially around money) you could explode your profits and reignite your passion?
It’s easier said than done… but totally possible. Which is why I’m so excited for today’s expert guest on The Scale or Fail Show, Michelle Perkins, CEO of Limit Free Life, a coaching and personal development company designed to help men and women create financial prosperity and freedom, while doing work they love. As an MBA and a former CPA and corporate business consultant, she now specializes in lifting barriers to success by uncovering underlying money beliefs and paving the way for a better relationship with money.
If you suspect your money mindset needs a makeover, this is the episode for you!
Copywriting - or writing to sell - can make or break your sales. Because the truth is, even the most amazing products or services in the world just don’t sell themselves. So if you’re constantly sending out emails…Posting on social media all day long…Spending big on online ads...And just not seeing results, the problem probably isn’t what you’re selling. The problem is how you’re selling. The problem is your copy. Here’s some good news: you’re not alone. I’ve always considered myself a writer - I love it and I majored in journalism in college - but even I still struggle with it sometimes! And here’s better news: you can absolutely learn how to create copy that actually sells (even if you’re a “terrible” writer). Want to learn how? Then join me today as I chat with Jenny Hamby, CEO of Seminar Marketing Pro. Incredibly talented, Jenny is an expert voice on copywriting for today’s information product industry. She’s worked with heavy hitters like Jack Canfield, T. Harv Eker, Alex Mandossian, and John Assaraf - but she’s also helped small businesses multiply their revenue on marketing budgets as small as $125 (wow.) With her 20+ years of experience in high-level copywriting, it’s an amazing opportunity to learn from Jenny.

If you have a team, you probably check in on their performance pretty regularly. But...how often do you check in on your performance?
If you’re like most business owners, the answer is: very rarely (or never). As CEOs, we’re not just the boss, but the leader. And as leaders, we’re responsible for guiding our company towards success. So if your business isn’t hitting your goals, your team is uninspired, and you’re still working more than ever… chances are your leadership style could use some work. Even I’m guilty of this. In fact, when I took my own leadership questionnaire from my book, I failed it!
So how do you make the shift from busy boss to visionary leader?
This week on The Scale or Fail Show, I’ll be talking to Cheryl Jekiel, the CEO of the Lean Leadership Center. Cheryl specializes in showing CEOs how to increase productivity and profitability simply by shifting the way they lead. Her people-focused approach has helped transform hundreds of companies.
If there’s one thing you need to know to succeed in modern marketing, it’s this: Community is everything.
Because customers don’t just want someone to buy from, they want someone to work with. They want someone they can trust. And if they decide that’s you… They’ll be loyal to you. They’ll keep coming back to you, champion your product or service, and even refer other high-quality clients to you.
The community you build is your secret marketing weapon. But it’s also much easier said than done. With so many businesses congesting the markets, it can seem impossible to stay visible to your audience...much less get them engaged.
That’s why I’m so excited for today’s episode of The Scale or Fail Show, when I’ll be talking with Dana Malstaff, the founder and CEO of Boss Mom.
Boss Mom is the premier online community for mom entrepreneurs. Starting with no business experience and little support, Dana has now grown Boss Mom to 30k+ members - and counting. She’s an expert on how to increase your visibility, stand out in the market and create a tribe that explodes both your profit and your impact on the world. And she does it with an unbelievable amount of heart.
Dana is the definition of a go-giver, and an incredibly valuable resource for any kind of business owner (parent or not). This episode is going to be PACKED with good stuff. Don’t miss out!
Most business owners despise the word No.
In fact, most try to eliminate it entirely from their vocabulary, unless they’re the ones saying it. And even then, we have a hard time with it!
Sheri Salata sees things a different way.
When she was rejected from what she thought was her dream job at a high-end ad agency, Sheri was devastated.
But that no to one thing turned out to be a giant yes to another…
...as she was hired for her ACTUAL dream job at the Oprah Winfrey Show soon after.
Then, with an amazing, 20+ career as the executive producer and co-president of the Oprah Winfrey Network and Harpo Studios under her belt, Sheri decided (at the age of 56) to leave OWN and start a new chapter of her life.
She decided to give her own no to create a totally new yes.
She launched her own successful business. She transformed her health. She tried things she’d never done before.
She changed her life.
In her new bestseller, The Beautiful No and Other Tales of Trial, Transcendence and Transformation, Sheri shares why saying no to her career at OWN wasn’t just an end, but a beginning - a chance to restart with a brand new attitude and passion.
And this week on The Scale or Fail Show, I chat with her about how she did it.
Sheri is such an inspiration - but more than that, she’s one of the funniest and most sincere people I know. You’ll definitely want to hear what she has to share!
Do you find that no matter what you do - you just can’t get this “money thing” down?
Maybe you have a difficult time finding financial opportunities. Maybe you’re working every day but only just getting by. Maybe you make plenty of money, yet still find yourself behind on your payments.
Whatever your situation...you probably feel stuck, and confused about how you got here. You’re hitting up against this invisible ceiling that holds you back from making (and keeping) the kind of money you really want.
Well, financial freedom is actually much closer than you think. There’s just one thing you’ve got to know: To create a new financial reality, you have to master your money mindset first.
But it’s often much easier said than done. That’s why this week on The Scale or Fail Show, I’m chatting with financial expert, Hilary Hendershott. Hilary is the founder and CEO of Hendershott Wealth Management, a leading financial advisory firm for women - where she helps women and couples rewrite their money stories, get out of debt, and transform their lives.
Regardless of where you are in your business or financial journey, this episode will have something for you. Make sure to tune in!
Things change as we get older. Time seems to fly by. Our perspectives can totally shift. Our bodies can change in a lot of different ways.
Then, once we hit a certain age, we’re told there’s no going back - especially with our health. We’re not 20 anymore, after all. We need to just “accept” that the aches, pains, and weight gain are here to stay...Or do we?
I don’t know about you, but I’m in my 50s, and I don’t feel nearly ready to slow down. I feel like I’m just getting started! My health is no exception.
My good friend Natalie Jill - leading fitness expert and bestselling author of Unprocess Your Diet - agrees. Natalie is an inspiration to women all over the world who want to take back control of their aging, health, happiness, and confidence. And at 47, she’s living proof that age is but a number.
I was lucky enough to have Natalie on The Scale or Fail Show this week to talk about her journey as well as her new book, Age in Reverse. We had a fantastic discussion that you definitely won’t want to miss.
Video may have killed the radio star, but podcasts are going strong. More people are listening to podcasts than ever before. They’re our favorite way to laugh, learn, and stay informed - and they’re also one of the most effective and targeted ways to reach your customers.
The thing is, with 550,000+ shows out there, this media isn’t just booming...it’s crowded. It’s hard to be heard through all those voices. How do you get YOUR voice heard? How do you stand out in the fray?
This week on the Scale or Fail Show, I chat with Steve Olsher, host of #1 rated podcasts like Reinvention Radio and Beyond 8 Figures. Not only is Steve an expert on all things podcasting, he’s a serial entrepreneur who has used the medium to launch his own businesses into explosive levels of growth and success.

Are you feeling the entrepreneurial buzz? Or are you thinking of forging a new path in business? If so, you might be wondering, What is the right direction to take?
I have invited Ryan Levesque to join me on Allie & You to discuss with you exactly how to choose your direction...
Ryan Levesque is the CEO of the ASK METHOD and bestselling author of Ask, which was the #1 marketing book of the year. He just launched his new book, Choose, which is about how to avoid the single biggest mistake new business owners make and what type of business should you start.
As he explains, the quality of our lives is determined by the questions we ask ourselves. You can change your life by changing the questions you ask yourself on a daily basis. People ask themselves the wrong question… they ask “what?”, when they should ask “who?” Who am I going to serve? Who is my market?
Do you feel like you’re being held back from creating the success in your business that you know you’re capable of? Perhaps you need to break old energy cycles that could be holding you back from that success… this is so important!
That’s why I invited Lisa Thomas, Founder of Beyond Cellular Healing, to be featured on Allie & You. Lisa is a Transformational energy healer that has dedicated her work to clearing emotional blocks that keep people from realizing their potential. Through her work, she lifts fears, negative patterns, habits, limiting beliefs and more by releasing inherited energy.
On this episode, Lisa explains how we are made of energy and that when your energy is blocked, it slows you down physically and emotionally. It is not always a clear pathway, just like how hitting a wall can hurt you. When energy has been stuck in a certain area, it can prevent actual blockages in our daily lives.
“If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself...”
Does this sound like your personal motto? If so, this week’s episode of Allie & You is exactly what you need to hear. On the show this week is DeLynne Ano, President of Process Panda -- a consulting agency that helps organize, streamline and systemize every part of a company.
DeLynne takes us through some fundamental areas where companies are losing time and money just because they don’t have basic processes in place. She also reveals how you, as a business owner, are hurting more than helping by micromanaging. Tune in now and find out more about how to streamline your company into an efficient, profitable and reliable business.
Have you ever experienced a significant loss - of someone you loved or something about which you cared deeply -- and then just felt stuck, unable to go back or move forward?
Then tune in for this week’s Allie & You, where I interview my good friend Christina Rasmussen, acclaimed grief educator, best-selling author of two renown books, Second Firsts and Where Did You Go?, and founder of the Life Reentry Institute.
Christina’s husband died at a young age -- a loss that left her understandably feeling lost and paralyzed. But she found a way to get “unstuck” -- and she’ll share her insights here to help you not only move forward -- but to positively thrive in the new life you envision for yourself.
Loss is a part of life - including business. Although this interview focuses on moving past the death of someone you love, you’ll discover so many insights you can apply to any type of loss. I know I did! Tune in now.
Would it help you to improve your memory and retention of everything you learn… and do everything you can to help others remember what you teach them? Then you’ll love this week’s Allie & You interview with my dear friend Jonathan Levi, an online educator, podcaster, author and angel investor. Your voice is one of the primary ways you interact with the world and with other people. Yet, if you’re like most people, you struggle to find and use your true voice, on both physical and emotional levels. This was definitely the case for me. When I first started speaking, I was not only terrified, but I also had to project my voice without sounding like Minnie Mouse. As I learned to master the physical aspects of speaking and controlling my voice, I developed a greater comfort in expressing my true self. To learn more about igniting your fire by releasing your voice, check out this episode of Allie & You. My guest is the world’s most followed voice and performance coach, Per Bristow. What does flying on the trapeze have to do with scaling a business? The need to take a massive leap, of course! Far too many business owners play it small and safe, because they’re afraid to leap into the unknown. But they pay a massive price – the loss of millions (even billions) of dollars… and the ability to impact millions of lives. I don’t want that to happen to you. So on this week’s Allie & You, I share some of the biggest insights I’ve gained while indulging in my passion for flying trapeze – and how it applies to business.
Can you quickly and easily describe where you want your company to be 3 to 5 years from now?Chances are… no. For most entrepreneurs, defining their vision is something they’ll get to “later” – after all the fires have been put out and to-do lists are completed. (But we all know that never happens, right?)Unfortunately, a lack of defined vision is what will keep you stuck, hinder company growth, and even contribute to lack of team engagement. To learn why – and how to harness your vision to inspire your team, tune in to this week’s Allie & You. I’ll share some of the important insights about company vision that I’ve gained after 35 years of running my own companies.
“I want to get my business to the next level...but I feel STUCK.”
Can you relate?
What many CEOs don’t realize is that there are 5 phases of business evolution… and just as we humans must follow a steady, predictable progression from infants to adults, our businesses MUST go through all 5 phases.
Feeling stuck means that you’re hungry for the next level. That’s why I urge you to catch this week’s Allie & You. I’ll walk you through the 5 phases… and reveal how you can optimize and accelerate your progression through each phase.
If you’re ready to start being in “flow” – where the right people and resources show up at the right time … and things just fall into place – make sure you check out this week’s Allie & You. I’m interviewing one of the world’s leading experts on quantum success and the Law of Attraction, Christy Whitman.
