This is arguably the most nervous I've been before conducting an interview on my radio show - Why? Well, probably because I spoke to Scorpio while he was overseas and I messed up a few times when trying to connect the call to the radio desk.
Eventually though, everything got sorted; Scorpio was an absolutely tolerant pro, an articulate and passionate artist who spoke very highly of the UK.
He spoke at great length, which for an interviewer can be a real gift; I found him to be a thoroughly interesting and delightful dude to chat to.
If you're a fan of Hip Hop, then this guy is a true pioneer of the South Bronx Rap scene - one of the founding fathers of the genre.
He takes his place alongside Melle Mel in the Sugarhill Reunion tour that comes to Manchester, UK, on 28th May 2016.
