Thank you for joining us and welcome to ‘The Beautifully Broken Me Podcast’. Over here, our conversations are centered on helping you tap into your unique superpowers where you can become your truest authentic self. Do you want more out of life? Do you desire a life where you can flourish freely and live a life of peace, joy and abundance; leveraging on all of your life experiences and using them as a stepping stone rather than a stumbling block? My guests will definitely challenge your thinking given you a practical and relatable tools to be more, do more and have more. My name is Noble Ij, I want to officially welcome you to the show!
On this special day, we extend our warmest wishes to all fathers, dads, and men across the globe. Your immeasurable influence continues to shape our world in remarkable ways. It's impossible to express just how much your actions and presence mean to us! As we commemorate Father's Day, we've prepared a unique and inspiring episode that we hope will resonate with you. We welcome everyone to tune in and join us in this celebration.
Our topic, "Becoming a Better Father: Navigating Through the Mistakes of Fatherhood," is an eye-opening conversation derived from our wish to foster a world where fathers are more actively involved in their children's lives - physically, emotionally, and socially. It's undeniable that the absence of a fatherly presence is a damaging trend affecting the current generation.
In this episode, Bright Benson delves into the profound impact of the emotional unavailability of fathers, a significant contributor to many pressing societal issues, including crime, deviant behaviors, teenage pregnancies, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Despite its far-reaching implications, the issue of fatherlessness is often overlooked. Recent studies highlight the indispensable role fathers play in shaping their children's moral compass, self-perception, and sexual identity. Children who grow up with an attentive, loving father are less likely to live in poverty, rely on welfare, end up in prison, or experience early pregnancies.
So here's my message to all fathers: Your children need you. Your physical and emotional presence is vital. Your role in your family is pivotal, and you might not realize the depth of the impact you have.
I want to take a moment to honor my own father, Engr. Innocent Anaele. Dad, thank you for showing me that not all men are the same, and for positively shaping my mindset and emotional resilience. During my time of hardship, your unconditional love and support, despite the physical distance. Even when faced with societal pressure for a male child, you stood firm, refusing to waver in your love for us, your daughters. Your actions prevented the intrusion of additional family complications. The gratitude I feel for you is beyond words. So, on this Father's Day, I publicly acknowledge you, Dad, as my superhero. Alongside you, we celebrate all the incredibly amazing fathers out there. Happy Father's Day to each one of you. You are cherished and loved!

Episode Synopsis for Lost and Found: Gallo's Tale Homelessness, Addiction, to Advocacy.
Episode 112 of "Beautifully Broken Me" presents a remarkable journey that takes us from the Texan backstreets to the triumphs of human spirit. Our esteemed guest, Gallo, stands as a symbol of resilience and redemption, navigating the turbulent waters of intercourse addiction, homelessness, and the shattering loss of his wife.
From the shadow of personal disasters to the valor of serving in the US Army, Gallo's life is a dynamic tapestry of survival. It's a story filled with both the tumult of homelessness and tranquility found in his unexpected passions - knitting and crafting mechanical keyboards. Immersed in the world of alternative lifestyles, Gallo offers us a rare glimpse into the often misunderstood kink community, disassembling prejudices while highlighting how its principles can cultivate enriching, fulfilled relationships. He emphasizes the essence of his philosophy: personal satisfaction forms the bedrock of harmonious relationships and thriving communities.
Gallo's own podcast, "Sucias are my Favorite," opens a portal into his existence, tinted by the somber hues of widowhood. His episodes swing between the poles of gut-wrenching tragedy and uproarious anecdotes, demonstrating his innate ability to ride life's tempestuous waves. Stripping away the mask of his 'Ladies Man' persona, Gallo divulges the pivotal moment in a 2011 "Celebrate Recovery" meeting that led to the realization of his intercourse addiction. His ensuing navigation through various therapies offers him, and us, valuable insights into the road to recovery from addiction.
As Gallo unfurls his unvarnished narrative, he shines not merely as another voice in the dialogue on addiction but as a guiding beacon. His quest is about shattering the silence around addiction, forging paths in the healing journey, and igniting hope in the hearts of those wrestling with similar battles.

The latest edition of the Beautifully Broken Me podcast is here. In this episode, we discussed, Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Understanding Feminine and Masculine Traits in Women. Guest: Heidi Leslw.
Breaking the Glass Ceiling" refers to the concept of overcoming the invisible barrier that prevents women from advancing in their careers and achieving leadership positions. This invisible challenge can take the form of a lack of boundaries, people-pleasing or wounded feminine.
The title "Understanding Feminine and Masculine Traits in Women" suggests that the focus of the article or book is on how societal expectations and gender roles can influence the way women are perceived and treated in the workplace. It may also discuss how women may adopt or reject certain traits traditionally associated with femininity or masculinity in order to succeed in their careers.
It is likely that the article or book would cover research and examples of how gender bias and stereotypes can affect women's career progression, as well as strategies and tactics that women can use to overcome these barriers and achieve success in male-dominated fields. It may also discuss the intersectionality of race and class with gender and its impact on career progression.
It may also discuss the role of organizations, managers and policies in breaking the glass ceiling and creating equal opportunities for women. Additionally, the title might suggest that the work also aims to challenge the traditional gender stereotypes and promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The newest episode of Beautifully Broken Me is out now. In this episode, our incredible guest and I talked about the trauma-healing journey for adult victims of sexual abuse. Amber discussed how she overcame the sexual, emotional, and psychological effects of the abuse she experienced from her father as the perpetrator. This process could be complex and take a long time, but with the help of therapy, support groups, and self-care, many adult survivors can find hope and healing.
Amber stated that the effects of sexual abuse on mental health could be severe and long-lasting, and therapy is a crucial component in the healing process. Support groups can also provide a safe and supportive environment for survivors to share their experiences and connect with others who have been through similar trauma. It is important to note that the impact of sexual abuse can also be seen in adult relationships, where trust issues and other emotional baggage stemming from their abuse can make it difficult for the survivor to form and maintain healthy relationships.
About Amber McCutcheon
Amber is a wife, mom of many, and survivor of sexual trauma. She hit her wall in 2010, realizing that never dealing with her lifetime of abuse was affecting her in every area and in every relationship in her life. She became desperate enough to begin a healing journey that still continues today. She has taken what was meant to destroy her and is using it to bring beauty and healing to so many others.

The latest edition of the Beautifully Broken Me podcast is here. In this episode, we discussed The Healing Self: Breaking The Cycle of Childhood Trauma with the fabulous Andrea Mason.
In today's episode, we discussed overcoming childhood trauma's emotional and psychological effects to lead a healthier, more fulfilling life. Childhood trauma can include experiences such as physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, neglect, exposure to violence, and other forms of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). These experiences can profoundly impact a person's mental and physical well-being. They can lead to many issues, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and self-esteem.
Andrea also discussed becoming aware of the impact of trauma and working to overcome it, often through therapy, self-care, mindfulness practices, and other forms of support. Breaking the cycle of childhood trauma implies interrupting a pattern of adverse effects commonly associated with childhood traumas and creating a new path for individuals, with the understanding that healing is a continuous journey and not a destination.

The newest episode of Beautifully Broken Me is out now. In this episode, our incredible guest and I talked about "The Mindset of Success: How Intentionality Can Transform Your Life." Antoinette Logan
Today's episode featured a conversation with our guest Antoinette Logan, who discussed the importance of having an "intentional mindset,"
🎯 It prevents you from losing your drive and focus and allowing other things to take precedence.
🎯 It assists you in developing specific, attainable, and actionable objectives.
🎯 It enables you to be more equipped to deal with the inevitable challenges and setbacks you may encounter.
Ms. Logan emphasized that although some thrive with well-defined, measurable goals, others benefit more from consistent mindfulness techniques like meditation or journaling. Others, though, benefit from being in the company of positive, sympathetic people. Knowing what you want and working steadily and intently toward it is the ultimate secret to establishing an intentional attitude.
This is one episode you want to take advantage of.
Connect with Ms. Logan:
Antoinette Logan is a multi-faceted media professional and international author from Atlanta and Chicago. She has worked her way up in the branding and marketing field, from the bottom to the top, as a personal assistant and brand ambassador, external to the internal employee to being the creator of the full-service account management, The Altered Image Agency (A.I.M.) and the founder of the non-profit, Bonded By Birth. Ms. Logan worked as a brand sales rep for many years before launching her agency. However, she started her first brands in finance and cosmetology before creating her first entertainment media company. Next, she worked as a freelance blogger before transitioning into an on-air radio personality and media correspondent. For some time, Ms. Logan decided to focus on her passion for entertainment and became a successful recording artist and traveled, working event coverage and opening for major artists. At this time, her brand’s popularity grew, opening the door for work in front of the camera and behind the scenes, allowing her to network and transition into branding for corporate companies.

The latest edition of the Beautifully Broken Me podcast is here. In this episode we discussed, How full is your love bucket? Fill It Up! with Laurie Herbers, Special Guest. Some of the things covered in this episode were:
🎯 Self-love is crucial to one's health, happiness, and fulfillment in life. Respect, acceptance, and compassion for oneself are all components of this positive and nurturing outlook. Here are some of the key points we covered in this episode:
🎯 If you truly want to be happy, you need to accept and love yourself, flaws and all. Realizing that everyone is flawed and that it's normal to make errors is crucial.
🎯 Kindness and compassion for oneself entail being patient and forgiving with oneself rather than harsh and self-deprecating.
🎯 Learning to say "no" when necessary and respecting your own needs and feelings are crucial parts of establishing healthy boundaries in your life. Maintaining equilibrium and command over your life can be achieved through the use of boundaries.
🎯 It's important to cultivate a good outlook on yourself and your life, and one way to do that is through practicing gratitude.
🎯 When you feel you need help, it's fine to talk to a friend, family member, or therapist. It takes courage, not weakness, to reach out for assistance, need someone to talk to? You can write to us at thebeautifullybrokenme@gmail.com

Welcome to yet another edition of the Beautifully Broken Me Podcast. Today's interview is with Tonbra Nwosuagwu, my affable coach and mentor. This episode would allow you to see and utilize what you already have to be more, do more, and have more.
A significant portion of our chat was on overcoming life's difficulties; what do we do when trouble strikes, when we confront rejection, bankruptcy, and other obstacles, and how do we navigate our lives after that? These questions took up a significant portion of our discourse.
🎯 How can we help others recognize their inner potential?
🎯 How can we assist people in making better decisions for themselves?
🎯 How can we assist individuals in transcending adversity and constraint so they can continue manifesting their truest authentic selves?
🎯 What experiences have we had that we can use to empower someone else? How might we begin to apply all that life has taught us to influence and serve the following individual?
Indeed, this episode is one of our blockbusters. You will gain knowledge, expand your horizons, and be completely motivated.

To everybody listening to this week's episode of the Beautifully Broken Me Podcast, hello, and thanks for being here. I was recently asked, "How long was the longest time you've ever had to wait for something?" When I heard this, my first reaction was a grin; "I am in my waiting season as we speak," I said.
Wait! is one of the most dreaded words ever spoken. This four-letter word evokes a broad spectrum of negative emotions. Waiting on God could be the most difficult when we have engaged in prayer and fasting. We desperately seek something, anything, to put our hopes on. We pray to Father God for answers, yet He does not respond. This has the potential to be devastating. The waiting season strengthens our faith and confidence in God.
This episode will teach you:
🎯 Discover the best course of action to take while waiting.
🎯 Understand the distinction between waiting and squandering time.
🎯 Learn the significance of having a positive frame of mind is crucial during the wait.
🎯 You will be armed with all the required arsenals for the waiting season.

Greetings, and thank you for listening to this amazing episode of the Beautifully Broken Me Podcast! Many have pondered the age-old question, "What is the one true secret to happiness?" The best career, the best business, the most generous employer, a billion dollars in the bank, the best kids, the most gorgeous spouse, the best family, etc. are not the final keys to happiness. Not even these goods can provide happiness. Is there something else, if not these, that will provide true happiness? You would probably agree that there are folks who have all they could want but are nonetheless miserable.
For the first time in a long while, I was the sole host of an episode. I went into great depth about the factors that contribute to a sense of contentment. By applying the advice I gave in this episode, you can find contentment, joy, and harmony in the midst of difficulty.

Hello and welcome to the 49th episode of The Beautifully Broken Me Podcast. I am incredibly excited that we are almost one year! Woohooo!🥳
It's going to be a few changes to the podcast as I wait upon the Lord to download all that He wants us to do in this new phase.
In today's episode I decided to do a solo; this episode was borne out of my hunger for you to understand how to leverage adversity and storm when they come. We are in earth school; storms and adversities are practical exams. Storm could be a blessing in disguise as they could help you fine-tune your uniqueness and marvelous qualities.
In this episode we highlighted:
🎯 What to do when storms and adversities show up
🎯 The practical ways to walking through storms
🎯 During a storm, it's not time to throw in pity parties
🎯 The fear of failure
🎯 Untapped potentials and blessings
🎯 Understanding why failure happened
🎯 Asking those key-pertinent questions
🎯 Sometimes, it takes certain things to fall apart for better things to fall into place.
Finally, i want you to understand that this episode is Holy Spirit inspired. It is important to note that; your current situation is not your final destination. The stormy season will soon be over. We are all on a journey, we will definitely get there. This too shall pass!

If you think you're in an abusive relationship; you are likely in one ~Karen Sue
Welcome to this 48th episode of The Beautifully Broken Me Podcast. I am incredibly delighted to have this conversation with Karen Sue. She is a Mental Health and Clinical Counsellor. She is a very passionate domestic violence survivor having experienced it first hand. She creates various awareness through her podcast and through assisting victims, survivors and their families; helping them to understand the subtle signs of abuse and narcissistic tendencies so that they can become fully aware and equipped.
This episode is unfiltered as Karen shared her domestic violence experiences and how her ex-husband strangled her for the third time until she eventually fled. You could ask; why did she stay that long? This and many more were uncovered in this episode.
In Karen's exact word; "I wish i could tell people that when you flee from an abusive relationship, everything gets better. I wish i could tell people that it's only a walk in the park. No it isn't! it requires so much work! The healing work". You can't heal from an abusive relationship while still living with the abuser. It doesn't work. Leaving helps you recover and heal faster where you can connect and meet with like-minded people (social groups) and then you would become more empowered on how to cope, thrive and flourish freely.
No one deserves to be abused. If you know anyone who is in an abusive relationship, needing someone to talk to or have a conversation with; I highly recommend Karen. You can also reach out to me at: thebeautifullybrokenme@gmail.com.

Welcome to another incredible episode titled: “When fathers are absent (Michael’s prison experience)”.
This super intriguing and inspiring episode was born from the desire to see a more productive, physically, socially and emotionally available fathers.
When fathers are closely involved in the wherewithal of their childrens emotional, educational, psychological and behavioral life, the child would have a more balanced life; unlik, when fathers are not emotionally available. This without mixing words is the engine driving most crucial social problems including crimes, all forms of vices, ilicit behaviors, adolescent pregnancy and sexual abuse of children. Sadly, fatherlessness is a problem that is frequently ignored.
In this episode, Michael shared his prison experience having served over 12 years in both federal and state prison. In his exact words: “children who grow up with the presence of an engaged, caring and loving father are less likely to go to prison and join gangs".
This episode is a must listen.

Happy Valentine's Day!
This is a very special edition- It's the month of love! Yaaay!
In this episode, we discussed about unconditional love and what love means. We looked at the Biblical definition of love. God is love personified. We cannot discuss the subject of love without the originator of love himself~God.
Unfortunately, many people never get to the place of loving themselves unconditionally. This could either be because of the hurt of the past, limiting beliefs, or the labels they have placed on themselves or others have placed on them.
We live in a world where we are being constantly programmed and conditioned that we are not good enough unless we buy this or that. We would look better if we have this shape or that shape, unless we smell like this or that...
This episode will inspire you on how to love and appreciate yourself unconditionally.

Welcome to yet another incredible episode titled: From Depression And Self Harm To Complete Wholeness.
This episode unravels the story of a warrior who was constantly beaten and battered by life. In her own exact words; “Depression and self harmed herself was my soul food, when I self harm it makes me feel like in control. It’s as a result of frustration too. I was on anti-depressant, therapy and many other medications”.
We become the most dominant thought of our mind. Every single one of us faces adversity; it is not because we’re not lucky, it’s by design. We are on earth school to grow and contribute. When adversity shows up as they will, we can focus our mind by asking better questions, looking at what we can learn from the situation rather than what you would lose or have lost.

Pain trains a man; failure trains the mind ~ Devin Wilbourne
Welcome to another incredible episode of The Beautifully Broken Me Podcast. This super insightful episode with Devin A. Wilbourn will shift your paradigm on how to adapt and cope with life’s adversities when they come. When we understand that adversity is a gift to life, then we will become more equipped and ready to face it whenever it shows up. We have to be aware that; many of the gifts that comes to us are wrapped up in thin layers of problems called ‘adversity’. Adversity definitely sharpens us, molds us, and makes us better and stronger human beings.
In this episode, Devin shared his life challenges and failures, and how his life hasn’t been a straight line starting from losing his both parents in a car accident on Christmas Day. His mind echoed “Christmas is ruined for life… Devin shared how he was able to get past his past and moved on to the future.
In his exact words:
“Life isn't a straight line, and the path to victory often looks like a Nascar accident before a success story. But even if you have to push the broken pieces across the finish line in a wheelbarrow, don't quit; because the person you become in the process can conquer anything”.
Devin also stated that: “Our society teaches people that once you have been victimized, you’re a victim for life and as a result; you’re a survivor. Whereas the truth is; You are only a victim the moment you’re victimized and anything after that; you are responsible for”. That’s a powerful insight!

This new year is definitely going to be your year of divine acceleration, divine blessings, favor, increase and prosperity.
I wanted us to start this year together. I wanted to personally connect with you on a heart-to-heart and soul-to-soul basis; and so i did a solo episode. In the rest of the episodes; you’ll be hearing from my handpicked well seasoned guests who would be sharing their thought-provoking and highly inspiring stories. Let’s dive right in!
In today’s episode; we discussed a very crucial topic: Create The 2022 Of Your Dream (New Year - New You!) You have to listen to this episode if you must create a 2022 of your dream.
No doubt; it is a new year! But we shouldn't neglect the fact that it would require a new YOU because the year begins with YOU. The year is a fertile ground. What you put into it is what you get out of it.
In order to create an incredibly amazing 2022 that you have always desired; there is need to answer some of life's crucial questions:
🎯 What would I do better? With this question, there is a sub-question:
🎯What would I do differently? With this question, there is a sub-question:
If you do the same thing as what you did last year; same pattern, same style, you would definitely get the same result. In this episode; I dissected these questions using some incredible remarkable illustrations.
In order to create a 2022 of your dream; you MUST listen to this episode.

It’s the last episode of the year!…I am incredibly happy, excited and elated. So, in this particular episode and the next; I have decided to do a solo. It’s been a little while I did a solo on this podcast. Let’s get on it!
In today’s episode; I dissected the topic: Catch up to finish the year stronger. Are you ready to finish the year stronger than ever?
Permit me to ask you a quick question: how has this year been for you? If you’re to take a personal inventory of the year; how would you describe it? A lot has happened to us this year; A colleague of mine said: “the last memories I had was the year 2020 and then all of a sudden; 2022 is before us; how did this happen so fast? I totally agree with him; We need to be very strategic about the year 2022 in order to fully maximize all of it.
This episode started with a deep emphasis on the need for healing. To be very candid with you; in order to catch up to finish the year stronger and in order to enjoy the amazing 2022 you have always desired, you must start your healing process. You need to heal. Healing is progressional. There is no doubt about it, there must have been traumas here and there in the cause of the year. It is very crucial not to carry it into the new year, 2022. We have to practically consider the need for healing. This is very vital!
The climax of this episode was chronicled in what I captioned - The Ultimate M’s
🎯Maximize every opportunity: Live circumspectly, redeeming the time (Ephesians 5:15-20). Time is one of the most precious commodity, use it wisely!
🎯 Minimize waste: We must learn to minimize waste in our finances and all other aspect of our personal lives.
🎯 Make Plans: The is need for us to properly plan. Someone said and I quote: “He who fails to plan; plans to fail”. This topic was better dissected in our next episode.
🎯 Mindfulness: This brought us into a powerful mindfulness breathing exercise. This is very potent antidote for stress. Just breathe!
🎯 Mental Trophy Wall: Recall incidences where you showed up in your strength and then create a mental trophy wall.
Finally, You have been given a mandate, so much has been deposited inside of you. How are you using your pain to serve you and others? It’s all in your hands to tap into the fullness of all that has been deposited inside of you. Your pain has a purpose; you must take time to find meaning in your pain. Do not waste it!

I Am Your Host: Noble Ij
Synopsis: This episode is a charge to get up, sit up and stay up. Your resilience and ability to persevere and work harder to finish strong even in the midst of life’s adversities is certainly the evidence of true success.
It was such a great delight to have coach Eddy on my podcast show. He is a life coach and has featured in many podcasts. Coach Eddy shares his great wealth of wisdom with regards to healing, forgiveness and handling rejection. Coach Eddy stated that: The first step to get up, sit up and stay up is forgiveness.
In this master class episode Coach Eddy chronicled his conversation in 3 steps:
🎯 Practical Forgiveness
🎯 Self reflection
🎯 Believing & trusting God
🎯 Rejection and how to cope with it.
What happens when you're rejected? The hurt, the shame and the trauma. Rejection is one of those negative experiences life seems to toss at us. No one is certainly immune to rejection, but some people do handle it better than others. Whether it creeps up in your work environment, home life or social circles, it's something we all have to cope with at different check points in our lives. At the final lap of this episode; Coach Eddy used an incredible analogy of the planets to describe how to deal with rejection…In his exact words; the way the planet travels the universe trying to find its orbit. They go to orbits where there is no friction and their energy is balanced. And with this; they travel from orbit to orbit facing several rejections until they finally find the perfect orbit that suits them. There are ways you can deal with rejection that can help you come out of it stronger. Getting rejected doesn't have to be the end-all be-all, and the experience can actually help you in the long run to become more resilient in your life.

In your opinion, would you say life gives options? What does it feel like when life gives you no option whatsoever, or when bad things happen to good people? When the only way out is… "you have to pray"? No doubt, prayers does work 💯%. My life is a product of prayer!
But what happens when even the doctors can’t seem to figure out what the situation could possibly be?
In this wow episode; It was a great honor to have had this conversation with Nozzer Pardiwalla. He has had some appearances in his own short films. This episode launched us into having our first podcast guest from India! It was such an awesome conversation.
During our conversation, It was intriguing to note, that regardless of Nozzer’s present predicament at the time of his illness, his mind stayed positive. He refused to set his mind on his ill health, but rather on all the incredibly beautiful things he would do when he would eventually leave the hospital.
During Nozzer’s hospitalization; he received 98 bottles of blood at the Indian hospital. In his exact words “I went through a near death experience; but with the support of my wife, I was back on my feet and lived to see both of my children and fulfil my long cherished dream of becoming a film maker”.
Nozzer’s near death experience will awaken you to leverage on the power of your mind, thoughts, and your imaginations. The mind, as an invaluable tool can work to your advantage helping you reduce stress, and improve your emotional regulation, and self-control which ultimately improves the quality of life in general. When we have limited beliefs, our mind can work against us, as it is the epicenter of all our emotions, neurons, and physical sensations, which is why mindfulness is one of the bedrocks to life.

A lot of people often say this; "Do not die in your abusive relationship; If it's really toxic, rather than die in it, hit the exit button". I have probably said those lines too. But here comes the big question; What next! after an abusive relationship? This super amazing episode will enlighten you on what to do, be, and have after leaving an abusive partner.
I had an incredible conversation with a beautiful woman Nenia Ballard. She is an amazing, dedicated, and enthusiastic police officer. She shared her experiences, having been a survivor of domestic violence, and yet not know how to navigate through life despite years and years of coaching and training as a police officer.
Nenia did not come to the realization that what she experienced was abuse until she got an epiphany. “More often than not, it doesn't feel like abuse at the initial stage; until the trauma and abuse sets in.”
This episode will help you view domestic violence, trauma and abuse from the lenses of a female police officer.

Sometimes life may seem to be unfair; sometimes life may choose to throw certain unexpected mishaps and challenges to you and then you tend to ask some pertinent questions: Why me? What did i do wrong? Why is this happening to me? Who did i offend? Ever asked these questions? The truth is; people who ask these questions tend to think that life has given them no option.
In this thought-provoking episode, I have the pleasure and the honor of having Ethel Olomu; She is such an amazing lady. Her presence oozes so much light and positivity. In this episode, Ethel shared her thought-provoking story as a stage 4 cancer survivor. This story will bring tears to your eyes. Please grab a box of tissue paper as you listen.
In her exact words, “I was running a scholarship programme at the Lagos Business School when I felt a sharp pain in my breast. It felt like a lump in one of my breasts, little did I know that I was battling with breast cancer at an advanced stage. It was no easy battle as getting the needed care for breast cancer is a major challenge in Nigeria, as the nation has an acute shortage of cancer specialists and required equipment.”
“I went to both general and teaching hospitals in Port Harcourt Nigeria and the doctors told me not to worry about it. I was eventually booked for surgery where they removed the lump. They said the surgery done was lumpectomy. They also told me that they would run a laboratory analysis on the removed lump to know what exactly the issue was. At that time, nobody was talking about breast cancer because it wasn’t up for discussion then.”
“Four weeks after the tests, my breast swelled like a balloon; when I picked up my result, they told me that nothing cancerous was found, I was somewhat happy and sad; but how come I cried, what could then be causing all this pain?
“It was an Indian hospital that eventually diagnosed my condition after eight months of acute pain. When the sample of the fluid gushing out breast eventually got to India, the Indian doctors said they were not sure that the person that owned the sample was still alive. At then point; stage four breast cancer was diagnosed. The result showed that the cancer had spread all over my body and there was nothing that could be done again. They said I should not bother about treatment, whether in India or America. They maintained that nothing could be done to remedy the situation. Doctors said I won’t make it. We tried almost 10 hospitals in India. They all said we should not bother with treatment, that I won’t make it. In their exact words, “She is already gone.” “
“To the glory of God, that is how it has been. And for 11 years now, I have not taken any medication.
Sadly, breast cancer is a big problem in Nigeria, its prevalence is now very high. There is no functional Comprehensive Cancer Centre (CCC) in the country, where cancer cases could be fully treated. A CCC is a world-class, stand-alone tertiary health institution, with all its departments focused on cancer care. Therefore, an average Nigerian can not afford breast cancer treatment in Nigeria. Those who can resort to treatment abroad.”
Ethel got married to her lovely husband five years after her with battle with breast cancer. She is totally sold out to raising breast cancer awareness and education, as well as providing support to women and girls fighting breast cancer. She’s the CEO and founder of Engraced Life Foundation; a non-profit organization that is mainly to educate, help and give hope to women who are diagnosed with breast cancer; enlightening them to accept treatment if and when diagnosed. What happens when it seems like life has given you no option? You were certainly not to be blamed for all of the things that happened to you, they were not your fault; but they happened anyways. You often wondered why your life played out the way it did, and how the rest of your peers are happier, and in better homes than you. What happens when you have to make certain decisions as a minor simply because it all lies in your hands at the moment?
On today’s SUPERCLASS episode, Leticia Francis chronicled the blueprint of breaking out from the place called ‘mess’ and repurposing her mess as an inspiring message to help others. Leticia's life journey started from several years of turmoil which made her feel as though life gave her no option. When Leticia was a little girl, she was told that her birth was the reason her parents' divorced. That was incredibly devastating, and self sabotaging for her. She spent years after years trying to figure out who she was. Being constantly reminded that she was too much, too loud, too opinionated, and too smart for her own good. This created a storm inside of her which left her no option than to seek after love, and attention. Which led to her to marrying a man who was twice her age where she experienced all manner of abuse, and traumas.
Leticia's compelling story is clear indication that broken crayons still colors. Her incredible story depicts the resilience of turning your adversity into advantage. Leticia is a highly sort after speaker; she helps women all over the world to build their own businesses in order to get their minds right, so they can see the success, and fulfillment they desire in their lives.
Leticia is originally from Bamulda; she lives with her lovely husband and children in England.

One of the biggest frustrations of waiting is these questions people often ask:
🎯 How long is too long to wait?
🎯 What happens when waiting seems too long?
🎯 How long would i wait for?
Waiting could be interesting at the very beginning and then later on, we begin to lose our flavor, zeal and enthusiasm. People wait for several reasons; a promotion, a recognition, a relationship, a plane, a bus, for the light to turn green etc. Whether we recognize this or not; waiting is constant in our lives. Waiting for too long could be devastating and when this happens, we begin to question our decision, and we begin to second guess ourselves.
In this thought-provoking episode; Ngozika Osuagwu popularly called Culate chronicled her waiting season "the lens of an expectant mother" using a few steps:
🎯 Unoccupied time feels longer than occupied time...get busy!
🎯 Anxiety and worry makes waiting seem longer...try to make yourself happy
🎯When you wait while pre-occupied with many things, it feels seamless and goes by quickly.
Culate’s journey from a traumatic waiting season - (her journey to motherhood) which led her from a painful self-rejection, and shame to a more radical self-love, and self confidence. All these has prepared her to lead, inspire, offer hope, and solutions to those living a shadow of themselves as a result of being in their season of waiting. She shares her story of resilience (in order to encourage waiting mother's, and anyone in their season of waiting) on how she thrived, recuperated, and found hope, courage, and fortitude during her season of waiting. This episode will leave you captivated, thrilled, and revived. Culate is determined to help people live out their dreams, soar, triumph, and to become highly desirable. She has curated unique tools to teach others how to tap into their superpower of resilience, and perseverance through her life’s challenges.

🎯Are there people who are sexophobic and thus brought such fears to their marriage?

In this episode, I have the pleasure of having Abigail Damoah on my podcast show. Abigail is a speaker, an author and a copywriter. She shared some thought provoking and highly inspiring story of her experience after serving five (5) years in the Florida State prison for a crime she did not commit. She has learnt one very important life lesson; You will find treasures in the darkest places if you simply change your perspective.
In her exact words “I was labelled as a killer who had destroyed a family and deserved the full wrath of the law. When I was sentenced to 12 years in Florida state prison, they celebrated my demise. When my case was dismissed by the 4th District Court of Appeals, they were silent. Today, that same story is inspiring people worldwide! God will raise you up, right in front of the people who tried to tear you down!”
When faced with life's adversity, rarely does anyone stop to consider the purpose behind the pain. We rarely step outside of ourselves to discover the pearls of wisdom that is often buried in our pains and struggles. Rather, we often choose to whine and complain.
As a coach, Abigail teaches people how to turn their pain into power. She uses her great wealth of wisdom and experience to impact lives; helping them find treasures in the darkest places, and how to turn their adversity into power. During our conversation she said; "My pain led me to my purpose, and now my hearts desire is to share this message with the world". Abigail's story inspires people all over the world.

On the 23rd episode of The Beautifully Broken Me Podcast, I spoke about living a magnetic and soulful lifestyle (A life of divine abundance); where you can live beyond all of life's adversities, rewrite your story and live a truly abundant life. The word of God says; "I have come that you’d have life and have it even more abundantly".
Soulful success is what God desires from us. When you live your life this way; you become an agent of change; a vessel unto honor, you’ll find out that people are more attracted to you; you’ll find peace and joy.
I spoke on the basis of high vs low energy emotional state. Low energy emotional state is energy that does not serve you; they drain you. We get into this state atimes because live happens. This is not where we should be. When you find yourself in this state of emotions; process them and do what it takes to move to the highest state of emotion.
High Energy state is a state you want to be. It's the soulful state where you manifest your highest self. A state of divine abundance.
In this episode; I highlighted some of the high energy states.
Key Highlights:
🎯Soulful and magnetic success (1:16)
🎯Low Energy state explained (2:12)
🎯Remorse and repentance should replace shame and guilt (4:18)

🎯Unresolved grief causes a state of low energy (8:52)
🎯Fear is a torment (13:00)

🎯Courage, confidence and the agility to try new things (18:45)
🎯When you are at peace...explained (19:50)
🎯Why forgiveness is crucial (23:29)
🎯Difference between joy and happiness (27:00)
🎯Be very intentional about your life (30:59)
Gender Based Violence Frequently Asked Questions:*i) I am constantly abused in my marriage in all manner of ways…I am emotionally checked out; my spouse and I currently live as roommates; I ain’t going no where. (i) When is it the right time for me to take him back”?
(ii) How would I even tell his apologies are genuine?**
This is a super incredible episode as Dr. Samuel Iwar uncovered answered this question in ways you would not even imagine.

When i recently arrived at the domestic violence shelter; I was very indecisive; the shelter home wasn't what I was use to; shared this on one of my episodes. I really wanted to return back to my abuser. I have was very indecisive. During that season, I attended a virtual event in which my guest Dr. Sam Iwar was part of the facilitators. That event was truly a game changer for me - hosted by the Iconic Womanhood coach - Ekene Onu.
Dr. Sam at that event talked about being indecisive and emotional checked out in a toxic relationship and how to deal with such situation. It felt like he was referring to me directly; I was deeply in awe. There at that event; I found great clarity and visibility; I was certain that going back to my abuser would have been the greatest mistake of my life.
This episode is loaded with great wisdom as Dr. Sam shared from his great wealth of wisdom. You’ll be incredibly enlightened and blessed as you listen to this thought provoking episode.

Some few weeks ago, I was part of a group conversation; when someone said:
“No one in their right senses will physically abuse their spouse; they possibly would have done something to warrant such act”. And then a few others concurred.
Another person added, and I quote:
“Before you judge a man for physically abusing his wife or vice versa; first find out what she/he did”.
What he was invariably saying is; before you judge a spouse for cheating on their partner; first find out what they must have done. Hearing this brought different thoughts to my mind.
Let's discuss...
📌Are the victims of gender based violence responsible for the actions of the perpetrators? “My spouse physically abused me, pulled my hair and stripped me naked; am I supposed to be responsible for his actions?
📌Why do people abuse their partner or spouse; whom they claimed to love, adore and cherish? How did we get to this point?
📌How did our love turn sour? When my ex-spouse who is meant to love, defend and protect me suddenly decided to emotionally abuse me and there after turned me into a punching bag; I wondered again; what happened to the love we once shared?
And now the question again:
📌Why do people abuse the spouse they once acclaimed as their knight in shining armor?
These and many more myths about gender-based violence we will be uncovering in today’s episode.
It is important to note that: there is no justifiable reason whatsoever for a man to beat up his wife and vice versa. Everyone deserves to have a healthy, loving, and respectful relationship-no matter what.
Genesis 3:12-13 “And Adam said, it is the woman you gave me; she gave me the fruit and I ate. It’s the woman’s fault…the woman you gave me…Adam said". This is certainly where the blame game originated from. Regardless of the circumstances of your relationship or past, no one ever deserves to be abused, and you’re never responsible for your partner’s abusive actions.
Everyone deserves a relationship that is devoid of abuse.

When I was a kid, I thought I never had a dad, because I grew up to know only my mom and my aunt (my mom’s younger sibling). Here is her question:
I am 34 years and I have a serious marriage phobia please help! I have witnessed my parent’s unsafe, brutal and fierce marriage.
Love and peace neither exist in our home.
This has been the case since I was a toddler;
I would rather remain unmarried than have such experience in my marriage;
please help discuss this in one of your podcast episodes.
I will be listening...
Marriage Phobias? (Overcoming the fear of marriage):Many people get “cold feet” about marriage or committing to another person. Happy Father's day to all fathers, dads and to all the men all over the world. Your incredible impact is sharpening our world. Words fail me to thank you for all you do! This super incredible episode will leave you amazed and excited. This episode is in commemoration of father's day. Everyone is welcomed to listen.
The topic: The mistake of fatherhood (What all men needs to know) is a super inspiring topic; born from the desire to see a more productive, physically, socially and emotionally available fathers. Where father's will be closely involved in the wherewithal of their children's emotional, educational, psychological and behavioral life. You would agree with me that; having a Fatherless nation is the most harmful demographic trend of this generation. This is emphatically true!
What happens when father's are not emotionally available; this without mixing words is the engine driving most crucial social problems including crimes, all forms of vices, elicit behaviors; adolescent pregnancy, sexual abuse of children and domestic violence against women. Sadly, fatherlessness is a problem that is frequently ignored.
Recent studies show that the father has a profound influence on his children’s moral development, self-image and sexual identity. The truth is; children who grow up with the presence of an engaged, caring and loving father are less likely to live in poverty, get on welfare, go to prison, and get pregnant before they get married.
In one of my podcast episode I shared the topic; Are they still any good men left? That was the heart cry of a domestic violence victim. Personally, having experienced domestic violence; if my dad wasn't good man; I would have asked the same question too.
Fathers, my message for you is this: Your children needs you! Please be physically and emotionally available for your kids. Your presence and role in your family is vital. You may never know how much of an influential role model you are.
Let me use this medium to appreciate my dad. Engr. Innocent Anaele; Thank you dad for not giving me a reason to think all men are the same and for changing the trajectory in my mindset, psychologically and emotionally. During my season of Domestic Violence; you showered me with so much love and support even though i wasn't physically close to home (I reside in the United States whereas you, mom and my other siblings reside in Nigeria). Even when the issue of having a male child became a great family challenge as was the Igbo African custom; Thank you for believing so much on us! Your love for us (your female children) kept us from NOT welcoming a step mom or step siblings. Even when mom had decided to throw in the towel because of all the pressures from family members. Your blatant refusal greatly paid off. Words fail me to thank you dad!...I can go on and on and on.
On this Father’s Day; I want to publicly state that; You are indeed my super hero! I celebrate you today along with other incredibly amazing super hero’s

This very insightful episode will leave you in amazed and blessed. My super incredible guest Frances Obiezu; the CEO of talk 'n' exhale dissected this topic in a way that would leave you in awe.
Why does some domestic violence victims not able to speak up?
What are some of the dangers of silence?
"The fear of being judged and criticized when i speak up"...discussed in great detail
The podcast host Noble Ij also shared some of her personal live story of how she attempted suicide because she had bottled in soooo much as a result of all the abusive maltreatment she was subjected to by her ex-spouse; which resulted to thoughts of suicide and eventually attempted suicide.
Please note: If you are silent about an abusive situation; then you are certainly in support of the perpetrator.
I love the way Bishop Desmond Tutu puts it this way; "If you are neutral in situations of injustice, domestic violence or abuse, then you have chosen the side of the oppressor. It is as simple as that. If an elephant has it’s foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality".
This is a super incredible episode. Please recommend this podcast to your family and friends and do not forget to subscribe.

In every relationship that failed; there was a red flag that somebody ignored. This could be business relationship, marriage relationship etc.
What are this red flags in relationships? They are certainly too numerous to mention;
At the beginning of a relationship it is almost impossible to tell if the partner would will become abusive. As a matter of fact, many abusers may seem absolutely perfect on the surface as if they are the dream partners; showering you with so much love especially in the early stages of a relationship. Possessive and controlling and manipulative behaviors don’t always appear overnight, but rather emerge and intensify as the relationship grows.
If you’re beginning to feel as if your partner or a loved one’s partner is becoming abusive, there are a few behaviors that you can look out for. Watch out for these red flags and If you are experiencing any/some of these in your dating relationship; then you will see even more of it when it eventually grows into a marriage relationship. Seek help when your partner is:
It is sad to state that; most of the time; the perpetrator does many different kinds of things to have more power and control over their partners.
The host (Noble Ij) shared some of the red flags she had ignored while dating her ex-husband and how they became even louder and glaring to her marriage relationship.

This is a very thought-provoking episode!
This episode was born from the heart cry of a domestic violence victim who was sexually abused by her own biological father; severally raped, battered and emotionally traumatized by the men in her life.
Having listened to my podcast; she asked me this very honest question “Are there still any good men left?”. Hmmm…I would have asked the same questions if my dad wasn’t a good man.
I would emphatically state that; I lived a very decent life as a young adult until I met and married ex-spouse who equated my worth to a piece of rag; when he constantly referred that "a piece of rag was much more valuable than me" hence he abused me mentally, physically, sexually and emotionally until I considered myself as worthless.
Thank God I am finally free! Setting out in a new trajectory to a place where my shine will no longer be stolen.

Stay blessed and be well.
My guest on this show dissected the topic: Emotional Abuse; Hypertension And Domestic Violence.
Could emotional abuse cause hypertension? Especially when the victim either has an underlying family history, already suffers from hypertension or at a clinical risk such as obesity, tobacco use, etc. Possibly yes!
Emotional abusive situation could cause depression, stress and anxiety which could let the blood to spike this could be temporarily or long term and could lead to some underlying health issues ranging from type 2 diabetes, auto immune diseases and heart palpitations.
Hypertension is known as a silent killer because it may show no symptoms, high blood pressure puts you at an increased risk heart failure, stroke among other things.
Early detection of high blood pressure is very important. It's a bit like opening a can of warm. The impact of Emotional abuse critical. Certain behavioral patterns as a result of being abused can spiral into many things.

What do you do when life breaks you?
Whenever life breaks you; there is always a lesson to learn from it. It has a purposed attached to it. "Do not be the prisoner of your past; it is a lesson and not a life sentence" - Unknown
This episode titled "When Life Breaks You" speaks of the orange and the coconut as a very relatable analogy to buttress the season "when life breaks you"
Noble Ij explains that; for an orange or coconut to give its value and be enjoyed; it has to be cut and be broken.
The breaking was not to hurt the coconut neither was it intended to hurt the orange. It is so that it would achieve purpose.
A coconut that is not broken does not give value. Whenever you're going through is a season of brokenness; know that it has a definite purpose attached to it. You are broken for a reason.
"Do not be the prisoner of your past; it is a lesson and not a life sentence". - Unknown.
This episode will make you become fully aware of how to journey through life victoriously, know your "why" and become more aware of the season's of your life.
And in the words of John Mark Green..."She has been orbiting the dark sky for far too long caught up in its deadly gravity. But now she's finally free! Setting out in a trajectory to a place where her shine will no longer be stolen".
Noble Ij shared some inspiring story about a woman who has greatly inspired her and how her seemly ugly situation became the masterpiece that made her one of the most influential women in the world.
This is worth listening to...Listen and be blessed!
As a domestic violence survivor; Noble Ij shared the various kinds of abuse she had experienced and her struggles with low self worth, zero confidence and no self image at all. Having being married to a narcissist and how she bounced back within a short time.
She is determined to sharing her story; empowering women and young adults with the truth about the subtle signs of domestic violence; providing them with the necessary resources to get out of the valley of bitterness and brokenness; how to be their authentic self and that unique feeling of love and safety in order to live a life that is highly desirable.
