The faith that follows Christ in his footsteps sets its hope in the power and authority of God to provide, not in our ability to preserve.
When the unity of the Spirit in the church extends from worship to fellowship, the witness of the church is strengthened, and the gospel will go forth. 1. Unity in worship 2. Unity in care 3. Unity in fellowship 4. Unity advances the gospel
Our gospel witness should call people to a response of repentance and faith that is both internal in nature and external in expression. 1. The heart ready to respond 2. The call to repent 3. The call to faith 4. The call of God 5. The response that saves
The mission of the church is to bear witness to the resurrection of Jesus with the Scriptures, the saints, and the Spirit that sinners may share in that resurrection life through faith. 1. Christ is risen and won the victory. 2. The witness of the Scriptures 3. The witness of the saints 4. The witness of the Holy Spirit
In sharing our faith we must guide the sinner to the cross of Christ for it is Christ who they have rejected and Christ who can redeem them from coming judgement. 1. Sinful Man Bears Bad Fruit 2. Sinful Man Warned of Coming Judgement 3. Sinful Man Rejects the Righteous Savior
When God comes to dwell among His people, He comes in power that the world may see and hear of His glory. 1. The Person and Power of God with us. 2. The Person and Power of God working through us. 3. The Person and Power of God Proclaimed.
Jesus takes upon Himself the burden of sin of those who are least that they would be given positions of honor in the kingdom. 1. The unclean made clean for a testimony 2. The foreigner will be welcomed to the table for fellowship 3. The sick will be relieved of their burden for service
The fruitful and righteous life we live in Christ may be humble today, but that foundation will prove its worth in the end. The way to life is humble. The way into the kingdom is fruitful. The way through the storm is a strong foundation.
Those slow to judge are best equipped to preserve what is holy. Those quick to ask are best equipped to give good gifts.
If we are to be faithful with the fundamentals of the kingdom and righteousness, we must be ready to trust God with our well-being. Confession: Our God gives us worth. Confession: Ou r God clothes our shame. Confession: Our God knows our needs. Call: Seek First His Kingdom.
The approval of men and great earthly treasures are nothing in comparison to the approval of God and the treasures that await us in heaven. Our reward in (1) giving, (2) praying, (3) fasting, and (4)heaven.
The love of Christ for us and in us is evident in the heart's disposition toward neighbors, truth, and enemies. 1. Anger is guilt. 2. Lust is adultery. 3. Make no oath. 4. Do not resist an evil person. 5. Love your enemies.
If we are to be the light of the world, we must maintain that (1) Jesus is the righteous law-keeper and (2) we walk in accord with His righteousness. a. The role of salt and light (vs. 13-14) b. The purpose of the light (vs. 15-16) c. The provision of Christ's righteousness (vs. 17-18) d. The provision of Christian righteousness (vs. 19-20)
For those who are deprived of the world's blessings, should they look to the Blessed Christ they will be counted among the blessed in the kingdom of heaven.
The ministry opf ordinary Christians is to preach and teach the light of Christ to saints and sinners with love and leadership.
Christ overcame temptation where Adam and Israel failed, and because Christ has overcome, we have life in Him, and can live like Him. Life by the word of God; Life sustained by faith in God; Life devoted to the worship God.
The Christian life is characterized by being, guiding, and uniting with the repentant. The message of repentance, Being the repentant, Guiding the repentant, Uniting with the repentant.
The victory of Christ's resurrection grants believers the hope of eternal line to come and the hope of an abundant life today. The church will be imperishable. Death will be powerless. Christ is the victor. The Church is fruitful.
Though the wicked seek the destruction of Christ and His kingdom, none will overcome Him. The endurance of the kingdom and our final victory in Jesus has been ordained from the beginning!
God intends His people to be ready to see more of Christ and to point the searching to Christ.

It is only in Christ that we can behold the glory of the Lord, and in beholding that glory we are set free and transformed to worship as we ought.
The presence and glory of God is revealed to those he favors, and it's through the gracious intercession of Christ, the favored Son, that we come to experience the presence and favor of God.
The price of idolatry is no less than death before God's holy law, yet we have hope knowing tat our holy God is faithful to His gracious promise.
When God calls his people to build His temple, He gifts then with all the means of accomplishing the work. Nothing is left out.
The holy service of the priesthood is first and foremost pleasing to God before it is beneficial to any of God's people.

The High Priest will minister to the people, but only if He is first a minister to God. It's only until Jesus comes, our Great High Priest, will this ministry be fulfilled and the people of God receive that gracious judgement once and for all: Forgiven!
At the entrance to the kingdom of God stands a demand for sacrifice. There is only one sacrifice which will satisfy, yet all may come because of the sufficiency of that sacrifice that is Christ.
The glory of God is rarely found on the outside or seen in a first impression. His glory is found by entering through the veil of Christ Jesus and coming to fellowship with God Himself among His church.
The ministry we have from God as His priests is given by God and directed by God that sinners may come and worship to the glory of God.
The glory and presence of God are reserved for a HIGH Priest and His priesthood. By the blood of a better covenant we can draw near as the holy priesthood of Christ.
From our entry into the kingdom to the ongoing and eternal blessing we receive as citizens, it's all secured for us through our faith in the faithfulness of Christ.
The blessings of God given to us in Christ cannot be forgotten. We do well to give time to protect and remember those blessings.
