Josh Reich - Lead Pastor There comes a moment when a dream to make a difference moves from the heart of one person to that of a group. Nehemiah 3 shows us the process and how people come together, and also how to find those who can help you make a difference. This week's passage is Nehemiah 3 (CSB).

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorHow do you get started on a vision or a dream? The first steps have a way of shaping the rest of the journey. If you get the first steps wrong, you can easily grow weary and lose momentum. Nehemiah shows us how to get started on the right path. This week's passage is Nehemiah 2:9-20 (CSB).

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor To accomplish what God puts on our hearts, we will need to pray and plan. Many times, we lean towards one end of the spectrum: we pray and wait and do nothing, or we plan and plan and take God out of the equation. But God’s hand was on Nehemiah as he prayed and planned. This week's passage is Nehemiah 2:1-8 (CSB).

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorMaking a difference always starts with one person, not a group. A group comes later, but when God moves, he taps one person on the shoulder. In the world of Nehemiah, that person is him. This week's passage is Nehemiah chapter 1 (CSB).

Part of who we are becoming is how we live the gospel out in front of those around us. Paul ends his letter by encouraging Titus to be a good worker, to become a missionary to those around him because of the change Jesus has made in him.

View Details

The grace and love of God are the foundation of the Christian life. Yet, many of us live as if we can lose that grace and love. Paul reminds Titus that the foundation of who we become is the grace of God.

View Details

All of us are leaders and influencers, whether we realize it or not. Paul lays out what a person who follows Jesus is to be and what character they are to have. This list is often consulted by church leaders, which is an appropriate application. But we don’t have a separate list for other followers of Jesus. So this is Paul’s teaching on who a follower of Jesus is to become. This week's passage is Titus 1:5-16 (CSB).

View Details

Paul starts his letter to Titus with the foundation of the gospel. It is the saving grace of Jesus that makes us who we are as followers of Jesus and shapes all that we become. How we see God shapes what we believe and who we become. This week's passage is Titus 1:1-4 (NIV).

View Details

Gerry Letourneau - Teaching TeamAs Paul closes his letter, he focuses on living lives of character as we complete the work God has called us to. This week's passage is Colossians 4:2-6 (NIV).

View Details

Tim Zulker - Guest SpeakerPaul encourages us to pray, to clearly declare the mystery of Christ, and to speak graciously as witnesses of Jesus. This week's passage is Colossians 4:2-6 (NIV).

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorBecause we have been changed, our family roles should look different from what they did apart from Jesus. Paul encourages us to embody love and respect as wives and husbands, children and parents—doing everything in a way that pleases their Lord, Jesus. This week's passage is Colossians 3:17-4:1 (CSB).

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorAll relationships have a tone, a feeling within them that governs them and determines how things go. Sometimes that tone is violent, walking on eggshells, hoping the other person stays calm. Sometimes, that tone is loving and comforting. This week's passage is Colossians 3:12-17 (CSB).

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorAll of us want to experience freedom and life, and that is what we are promised in Christ. But what does that daily journey look like? It comes down to what we focus on, and that focus determines our lives. This week's passage is Colossians 2:6-23 (CSB).

View Details

Gerry Letourneau - Teaching TeamPaul uses his life as a test case for the church in Colossae to see how to follow Jesus and navigate the highs and lows of faith. This week's passage is Colossians 1:24-2:5 (NIV).

View Details

Rob Wheeler-Guest SpeakerIt is easy to make our faith about us or what we hope to accomplish for God. Because of this, Paul focused on Jesus at the start of his letter. We must never stray from who Jesus is and the centrality of that in our lives. This week's passage is Colossians 1:15-23 (CSB).

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorPaul begins his letter by focusing on what the gospel does for each of us, it changes us and grows us into the person God has called and created us to be, to be more like Christ. This week's passage is Colossians 1:1-14 (CSB).

Josh Reich-Lead PastorWaiting in life is incredibly difficult. Yet, as Tish Harrison Warren said, “Our Christian life is a long practice in waiting - waiting for God to meet us, to grow us, to save us. And, ultimately, waiting for Jesus to set all things right.”This week's passage is from Habakkuk 3 (CSB).

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorThe main question Habakkuk is asking God is one we ask of God, “You cannot tolerate wrong, but yet it seems like you are. Why? How is this okay?” This message helps us understand what God is doing when we disagree with His actions or perceive His inaction. This week's main passage is Revelation 21:1-8 (CSB).

We often wonder where God is in our pain and disappointment. Does he care? Could he stop it? Did he cause it? Habakkuk shows us what God does in our pain and disappointment. He embraces us. This week's main passage is Habakkuk 1:1-11 (CSB).

Gerry Letourneau- Guest SpeakerMalachi ends by looking towards the day of the Lord. We live every day in the hope that one day all wrongs will be righted, and that is where our hope for not only our year but also our lives resides. This week's main passage is Malachi 4:1-6 (NIV)

View Details

Gerry Letourneau- Teaching TeamAs we think through our priorities and where we hope our year ends up, we need to ask prayerfully, “Am I working for or against God?” This week's main passage is Malachi 3:13-18 (NIV)

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorMoney goes a long way to determining our happiness and contentment in life. As we think about starting the year right, it makes sense to start it right financially. This week's main passage is Malachi 3:6-12 (CSB)

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorWe start the year off with high hopes, only to hit a roadblock —a challenge, a difficulty. That difficulty can either propel us into the future or hold us back. This week's main text is Malachi 2:17-3:5

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorWho you choose to marry is the most important human decision you will make. It determines where your life ends up more than any other decision, outside of following Jesus.

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorIt has been said that “our lives reflect the 5 people we spend the most time with.” So, as we start the new year, we have to ask, “Who do we spend the most time with? Are they the right people to influence us? Do we want our lives to end up where their lives have ended up?”

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorOur priorities in life determine where our lives end up. If you want to know what your priorities are, simply look at your bank account and your calendar. No matter what we say our priorities are, those two things show us in black and white what they really are. As we start the new year, we need to ask: Are our priorities in the right spot? Did we end 2025 as intended? But on a deeper level, we need to ask where our priorities come from. They come from a place of seeking love and acceptance.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead PastorFor many of us, hope is hard to come by. Our world feels hopeless, whether in politics, finances, relationships, or health. Yet, Advent helps us to hope when life feels hopeless.

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorThis time of year, we see “peace” everywhere, but sometimes we struggle to feel peace in our hearts. Through Jesus, we have peace with God and the peace of God. Peace isn’t found in the absence of problems, but in the presence of God.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead Pastor When life is hard, joy can seem far away. But God promises joy in His presence. We get to choose to experience joy. When we do, we learn that the greatest enemy of joy isn’t pain—it’s distraction.

View Details

Tim Zulker- Guest Speaker3 John is written to help the church understand the importance of community and hospitality, and how this advances the mission of God. The letter revolves around Gaius (the recipient of the letter), Diotrephes (the one causing trouble), and Demetrius (the delivery of the letter). John writes to help Gaius stand in his faith and not imitate or fall prey to Diotrephes.

View Details

John tells us that followers of Jesus live their faith journeys with the confidence and assurance that they will are not only loved by God, but will be heard by God. Main Idea: Assurance = confidence in God.

View Details

Gerry Letourneau We can know we have eternal life by our love, obedience, and faith. Victory is found through love and obedience.

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorThe greatest picture of the love and forgiveness of God towards us is the cross of Jesus. It is there that God’s love is shown to the greatest extent. We love and forgive ourselves and others to the degree that we believe we are loved and forgiven by God.

View Details

Gerry Letourneau - Teaching Team John writes to tell them how important truth is and that one of the things we do as followers of Jesus is to discern what is true and what is a lie, thereby guarding ourselves and the church from false teachers.

View Details

Jon Guinn - ElderWe are a reflection of the love of Jesus. Our relationship is built on that love and what He did for us because of that love.

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorOur biggest struggle is not giving love and forgiveness, but rather receiving love and forgiveness.

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorJohn writes to tell them how they will know the end is near, what makes an anti-Christ and how they and others will deny God in the end. This is another way of John teaching them about them of the assurance they have in God.

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorWhat and who we love reveals everything about us. It is also the place where the battle for a good life takes place.

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead PastorWe cannot separate our human relationships with our relationship with God. How we relate to God will overflow into our relationships with others and our relationship with others will overflow into our relationship with God.

View Details

Josh Reich - Lead Pastor Because God is light, we can experience the good life by walking in the light, which means keeping Jesus’ commands. However, our brokenness often prevents us from experiencing this life. Yet, John tells us that we can walk in this light by loving our brothers and sisters, and by confessing our sins.

View Details

Josh. Reich - Lead PastorThe first step into the good life is understanding that the truth about Jesus has been revealed to us through eyewitnesses. This truth leads us into a relationship with Jesus and into a community of other followers of Jesus.

View Details

Gerry Letourneau - Guest SpeakerDavid cries out in agony, feeling abandoned by God and surrounded by enemies. He remembers God’s past deliverance but fears His absence in the present. Confident that rescue will come, David vows to praise God publicly and foresees a time when all nations will worship the Lord.

View Details

Jon Guinn- ElderTrust can only come by giving up control. Can we trust in God in the midst of difficult circumstances? No matter what the outcome is? This kind of trust can only come through a deep relationship with God.

Jim Harrell- Guest SpeakerDavid marvels at God’s majesty, revealed in creation’s grandeur and His care for humanity. Though the heavens are vast, God grants people dignity and authority, making them rulers over creation as His image-bearers.

God has lovingly formed each life from the womb and ordained every day before birth. David invites God to search his heart and reveal and remove any hindrance to walking in the way everlasting.

Josh Reich-Lead PastorDavid declares fearless trust in God’s protection, even against enemy armies and war. His greatest desire is to dwell in God’s house, where he finds safety, beauty, and wisdom. Though surrounded by danger, he preaches hope to himself and waits on God.

Josh Reich-Lead PastorPaul outlines how our identity in Christ should change marriages and how we view marriage.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead Pastor Our new life and identity in Christ change not only how we treat each other but also how we think about each other and our wisdom.

View Details

Gerry Letourneau- Guest SpeakerPaul continues to describe what it means to live in the new life we have in Christ and calls us “to be imitators of Christ.” We can do this because we are children of God and God is our good and perfect Father.

View Details

Katie Reich- Family & Connections PastorPaul says the gospel makes us new in our relationships. How we treat others and respond to them shows the change the gospel has made in us.

View Details

Tim Zulker- Guest SpeakerChapter 4 begins the pivot in the book of Ephesians, as we move from the theological foundation of the gospel to how we apply it in our lives. Paul’s first application is how the gospel unites us as believers.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead PastorPaul prays that the church in Ephesus will be strengthened, meaning they were weak. Weakness is not something to be avoided but admitted so that we can experience the power of God in our weakness.

View Details

Josh Reich-Lead PastorThe gospel creates a new community, family, and church. This shows the world around us what we think God is like and what the kingdom of God is supposed to be.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead PastorWhen we become who we are meant to be in Christ, we can break down divisions and barriers inside and outside the church.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead PastorWe will only discover who we are when we live in the reality of God’s grace toward us.

One of the most incredible things Paul says in Ephesians is that we have all we need in Christ.Guest speaker, Gerry Letourneau, walks through Ephesians 1:15-23.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead PastorAs we search for who we are and try to decide who we think we are, the best place to begin is with who God says we are. The struggle for many of us, though, is we don’t believe what God says about us in Scripture.

The first step to rebuilding anything is to decide to rebuild it. It is easy for things to stay broken in our lives or relationships or finances to fall by the wayside. We look longingly at others who “have it figured out.” But they decided to take a step. Many of us choose not to take a step because it is hard. Throughout Scripture, many people saw things destroyed or broken, but they were rebuilt when someone said, “The time is now.”

Yet, our sexuality was created by God for specific purposes, and when we live within those purposes, we can flourish individually and as a couple. You can always find the full service on our Facebook page or our Youtube channel. If you would like to access the sermon podcast check out apple podcasts or soundcloud.

Josh Reich- Lead PastorWe all long to be known, cared for, and loved. We will go to great lengths to have these needs met. Our desire for this is good and something all of us are born with, but along the way, our scars and stories send this desire into many broken places. Main Idea: What we know trumps what we feel.

View Details

Katie Reich- Family & Connections PastorLiving at peace with others instead of living offended. Jesus didn’t call us to be right, He called us to be loving. It’s easy to be offended. What’s hard is to look past the offense and love the person on the other side. You can choose to forgive the way God forgave your sins.

View Details

Gerry Letourneau- Guest SpeakerWhat do we really want in life? Often what we think we want is different than what we actually want, which is peace. God has given us His peace through His presence. Peace isn’t found in the absence of problems. Peace is found in the presence of God.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead PastorOn the last night of his life, Jesus asks his father to do 3 things for his followers — protect us, sanctify us, and unite us. If we remember these prayers, we’ll also remember we are not alone, change is possible, and hope is bigger than division.

God's will is not as mysterious as we often make it out to be but can be found in Scripture and through simple questions about our lives. Josh Reich- Lead PastorWe all want to be free from something or someone. Yet, many of us find ourselves stuck and unable to move forward. There is only one way to find freedom from the hangups truly and hurts we carry and the things that weigh us down.

View Details

Josh Reich- Lead PastorWhen it comes to forgiveness and reconciliation, one of the hardest steps is letting go and moving forward. How do you let go of what happened? How do you move forward with that memory that is always there? Josh walked us through the story of Joseph at the end of Genesis to see how to let go and move forward.

When our lives are going well, it is easy to keep our attitudes in check. When we hit times of stress, it is tougher to be respectful.

Our conversations can turn from conversation to confrontation quickly. Followers of Jesus value people over positions. Arguing our positions should never take the place of fighting for people.

One of the primary mechanisms we use to protect ourselves is control. We seek to control our own lives under different umbrellas – money, power, sex, and even religion. At the foundation of control is fear and if we don’t learn to surrender ourselves to God’s story for our lives, we will end up using others as pawns in the story we are creating for ourselves.

Judgment announces the verdict over people and their life. We may judge internally, but it will manifest into our lives with a coldness and resentment toward the most frequent offenders. James teaches us that mercy triumphs over judgment, and when we employ mercy, we will realize people have the right to exist as they are without us playing the role of God.

It is very easy for all of us to have tapes or beliefs that play in our heads, causing negative patterns in our life. However, our lives are built on a blessing from God, “be fruitful and multiply.” Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus came to redeem the curse of sin and restoring the blessing of humanity.

At the heart of our deepest issues is that we tend to put ourselves first. When reflecting on our lives we will see that the most hurtful moments came from times when we were thinking of ourselves more than we ought. When we choose to humble ourselves, we will remember we are simply finite creations, not eternal creators.

God planned out your life before the foundations of the world. Yet we spend so much of our time comparing our story with the stories of others. Break the script of securing your worth at the expense of others and rest in the unconditional love of Christ.

Sin is all the ways you try to create for yourself what only God created for you. The shame of sin causes us to hide underneath man made attempts of covering this sin. Thankfully we have a God that is always asking us the question, “Where are you?”

Our church is not an institute of perfect people. We are faulty. A people – sinners that have been saved by grace – that are a part of God’s mission to restore all things. We are a fold for Christ’s sheep and home for Christ’s family. In this series we will deepen our understanding of Community Covenant Church's: Values, Culture, and Mission.

At our church, we help you follow Jesus - we just believe it doesn’t have to be complicated. Although discipleship can be challenging and hard at times, Jesus was remarkably simple. As the fullness of his body on earth, we want to be abundantly clear about who we are and how we function.
