Before Ephesus lost their first love – they HAD a small but mighty church that was changing the world. Ephesus was the gateway between Asia & Europe, along with being the guardian of the temple of Artemus (Diana – Wonder woman!), and hosted one of the greatest libraries of the First Century. It was a city that had a higher percentage of literate people than almost every other city in the world. It garnered wealth and influence and shared it through the thousands who passed through. And even though the Christian community was small, it celebrated some of the greatest leaders and teachers of the new Christian era – Paul, Timothy, the Apostle John, Priscilla & Aquila, Apollos, and more! Of all the churches of the first century, it’s the church MANY of us pastors & leaders aspire to become. This summer, we’ll dig into the Scriptures regarding Ephesus, and especially the letter Paul wrote to it, gleaning from the story how to grow and keep a “First Love Life” with God.

happens when a person suffers physical or mental collapse as a result of overwork, stress or
physiological exhaustion. In some cases, the effects can last for weeks and months and require
medical attention. God KNEW that our design requires a regular rhythm of restoration & repair, and
created something called “SABBATH” for all mankind to enjoy, yet few people actually practice it well.
This series is designed to train ALL of us as individuals and families on the four main practices of
SABBATH, and help us change our lifestyle from BURNOUT to BLESSED.

All of us have dreams. Sometimes they are delightful and other times frightening. Often
we don’t know if they have a message for us, or are just the uncontrolled inventions of our minds.
Not only do we dream while sleeping, but most of us dream of things when fully conscious! We
dream of our future, or replay our past, and what we want different now. What if our dreams are
telling us something? Scriptures show that God can work through dreams, visions, nightmares and
much more. In this study, we’ll look at how God can speak through our dreams, and seek to open our
lives up to His “dreams” for us.

we don’t know if they have a message for us, or are just the uncontrolled inventions of our minds.
Not only do we dream while sleeping, but most of us dream of things when fully conscious! We
dream of our future, or replay our past, and what we want different now. What if our dreams are

lives up to His “dreams” for us.

Series: BUILDING BLOCKS | April 28, 2024 | The Building Block of Love
Family is THE construct of God to develop and grow relationships that last. Within family, we raise children, build adults, grow legacies, and pass along faith. But without family, the world falls harder into sin and farther from relationship with God. When God setup the nation of Israel, He instituted practices that build up family relationships over generations, but in our mobile and secular culture, those practices often get lost and don’t get handed down. This series will help train our church to establish the BUILDING BLOCKS to help our family (ies) grow stronger together.

Revelation is the only book that promises a blessing to those who read/hear it. Receive your blessing and study it with us as we Behold God’s Glory together. And for additional learning, check out our website weekly for Pastor Scott’s study notes on each chapter.

Series: Gospel in Genesis | April 2, 2023 | The Heart God is Looking For
Many of the first Bible stories we hear as children com from the book of Genesis. As kids (and even parents) we enjoyed hearing about Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, Jacob & Joseph. Little did we know...they were pointing to a far greater Story - the Story of Jesus. Reviewing those stories more deeply, we discover they not only help us understand the foundations of humanity, they speak about the basis of God, family, faith & Messiah. Dig in with us as we discover answers to our questions in life and come to realize that Genesis is the First Gospel (Good News) in the Bible.

In this series, we’ll use the Thanksgiving season to increase our awareness of the Lord’s Faithfulness, understand better the immense blessing of giving, and grow the value of generosity in our families.

Our mind are libraries. They capture stories about life, and create stories from circumstances. Those stories can hep us or hurt us, depending on how we write them and use them. That's why the greatest battle is not with other people, but with our own minds. Most of the battles in our life are won/lost first in our minds. The emotional struggles so prevalent in today's culture (anger, anxiety, depressions, etc.) are Mind Wars. Jesus knew that - and it's why He taught in stories to change our thinking. He knew that once we change our thinking, we change our lives? Discover the tolls God provides to help us develop spiritual toughness when facing mental struggles.

Series: Habits | August 29, 2021 | Josh Stone
Many people assume that our identity is found in outcomes – such as the career we hold, the relationships we develop, the successes we accomplish, the events we experience. But in looking at our lives, what we will discover is that our habits define most of our outcomes. The challenge is deciding and maintaining good habits to create those outcomes. In this series, we’ll learn from the Old Testament prophecy of Malachi what God directs Israel to change habits, and by doing so teaches us about changing and maintaining habits that can bless our lives.

Series: Revived | August 1, 2021 | Roger Gibson
God desires to change our hearts for his glory. Ezekiel 36:26 says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” For the lost, this change is repentance and a new heart; and for the believer, an encouraged heart to continue even when serving God is not easy. This five-week series tells the story of Ezekiel’s ministry, examining how this book is relevant to believers today. For those of us who have grown complacent or cold in our walk with God, “Revived” outlines how God desires to bring us closer to him.

UNPRECEDENTED – we hear the word used often during this pandemic, but much of what is called unprecedented really isn’t. Just like the church in Colossae, we can be so preoccupied with the circumstances that we miss the extraordinary already given to us. Paul reminds this early church of the extraordinary life given to us through Christ, and we use this letter to discover our extraordinary life as well. Let’s REFOCUS on what is truly unprecedented this Thanksgiving, as we study the book of Colossians together.

All of us have mountains we face. Some are physical mountains to navigate, some are emotional cliffs to overcome, and others are spiritual peaks to summit. In this season of a pandemic and natural disasters and racial hostility, we have big challenges to excavate.
That's what makes the stories about mountains in the Scriptures so helpful. When God sends someone to a mountain, something big is about to happen. There are lessons about God and ourselves that only come by climbing the mountain before us.
In this challenging season, we'll look at 8 mountains in the Scriptures, and the lessons that God taught to people through the climb. No matter what mountain you are facing, you will gain insight and encouragement from the revelation God brings.

Psalms - Songs to Live By Series | August 2, 2020 | Scott McFarland
During this crazy pandemic season, God is revealing what is truly essential in our lives. For some, it's self-preservation, for others it's personal will, but for true believers it has always been worshipping the Lord. That's why David and others wrote the book of Psalms - it is more than good poetry, it is heart-expression to the Lord of our worship & praise, as well as our struggles & fears, for every generation, in every situation.
Worship is more than just singing songs in a sanctuary, or hearing from the Word of God. Our culture and government may consider it non-essential, but God deems it necessary and life-giving. While we may be separated in gathering, we must never stop giving God our worship. Through this series, we're calling you to dig into the Psalms, and grow in your expression of worship.
