Today we’re speaking with Desiree Kaye, a conscious lifecoach, specializing in reparenting. She helps adult women understand the varying traumas that happened during childhood (of all degrees) to understand the thoughts that get planted into our minds at a young age, adn then the conditioning and reinforcement of how that goes on into adulthood. Reparenting is taking radical ownership for yourself as an adult, to start steering your ship into the direction you want to go in, vs. how it’s been for generation after generation just because “we’re family and this is how we’ve always done this”

Desiree is such an incredible mentor and friend, because she embraces the messiness of life. She does a phenomenal job of embracing all pieces of herself and the humans around her. She brings a fun, playful, grounded energy to reparenting, helping women move through difficult traumas, as they become more connected to their higher self and how they want to show up in the world.

In this episode we’re diving deep into:

  • Desiree’s story of discovering reparenting through her experiences with abuse

  • Identifying patterns in relationships to observe what we’re attracting

  • Facing our wounding head on and embracing our resilience and brilliance

  • Allowing ourselves to make mistakes without being punished

  • Finding the answers inside of us and allowing all relationships and experiences to be a mirror

  • Looking at our childhood from a child’s perspective so that we can validate our experiences

  • Not feeling guilty or shameful for exploring our parenting dynamics

  • How to break down how you’re reacting and what your triggers are when you go from 0 to 100

  • How to be patient and integrate our lessons over time with practice rather than expecting us to “fix” it right away

  • Accepting all pieces of ourself to define how we want to be accepted

  • How to protect our energy with boundaries (and leaving the guilt behind)
