The church is one big family, we don't always get it right, but we are better together!
Every fall, OneChurch takes time to reset and refocus on the things that drive us. This is how we prevent drifting as an organization, and press on to see the kingdom of God advanced. Our goal is to make disciples. Our purpose to help people love God and love others. Will you join us?

People can get trapped thinking they can only be generous when they have more. But the real question is: What can I give now?
Intro we are in our series, A Generous Life. We started a couple weeks by looking at why it is better to give then to receive. We looked at Paul’s example of a generous life, and how coveting is actually the enemy of generosity. Last week we had Canada’s Double Portion come, and you were very generous…
As we enter the Advent season, we are bombarded with advertising, selling us the next great thing that will improve our lives. Yet God's plan for us is give more than we get. We are called to live a generous life, but what does that mean in a culture that says, "It is all about me"?
Matthew 7:7-8 says if you seek, you will find. But what about those times you don't find? Is there something that gets in the way?

As Paul concludes his letter to his son in the faith, he encourages Timothy to pursue godliness. In fact, he says that godliness is the answer to some of the trap of the world.

As we wrap up our series, we close on one of the most serious, and most important truths of them all: The Last Judgment. Who will be judged? Who will do the judging? Is there a second chance? We need to understand the ramifications of this judgment day.
We've been talking about fundamental truths, and there is not truth more fundamental then the resurrection of the dead. In fact, our entire faith hinges on this truth. But not only our faith, but much of our hope is found in God's ability to breathe life where there is death. Are there things in your life that need some life breathed into it? Do you believe that God can do it?
Remember in school when you would miss a day? Remember the confusion you felt that first day back? What if you have been doing that with our faith? What if you have been trying to learn complex things without having a solid foundation to build on? Sometimes we need to get back to basics before we can grow.
Have you ever wondered what the big deal with baptism is? Have you been putting off getting baptized because you just don't see the point?
Pastor Matt walks us through the history of baptism, and more importantly, why it is fundamental and important for us to be baptized.
What is faith? How does it apply to our life? Why is it so important?
The idea of faith is central to Christianity, yet many Christians only have a faint idea of what it is. We are going to try to change that.
The author of Hebrews says repenting of evil deeds is one of the fundamentals truths in the church. As we unpack it, there are major implications of this passage, and it is certainly a foundational truth for a Christian.

The kingdom of God. How do you get in? Are there things that keep you out? This message, we unpack Jesus' teaching about the Narrow Gate, the wolf in sheep's clothing, and those followers that Jesus never knew.
In our modern society, we can be quick to give up. Jesus calls us to be dependent on our Heavenly Father, and to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Do you believe that God is good? Do you believe that good things come from God?
Intro we are into the final leg of our series. I’ve said along the way that the bigger series BE could really be broken up into smaller sub series. The first part laid the foundation of what true righteousness is, and that there is blessing in it. The second part looked at how our relationships with…
Intro we are back into our series BE. I realize we took an extended break so I want to recap where we left off. Recap a couple weeks ago, the previous passage unpacked how we should look at money. As we wrap up Moving Forward in a unique way, we are looking at dealing with past hurts, and how holding onto them can actually prevent us from moving forward in God's plan for our life.
We often read about the acts of the apostles and the 'heroes' of the bible as if they are exceptional. But what if what they did was supposed to be the norm?
We are so excited about our upcoming Annual General Meeting. God is doing amazing things through our church, and we can't wait to share it with you. That's why we are taking a whole series to build the anticipation! This morning, we are commissioning our Mexico Missions team on their way, and look at how we can engage in our own mission right where we are.
Most believers would believe that God's word is important for their life. But have we ever stopped and considered that God speaks to us through his word? If he does, what does that mean for life and faith?

This Sunday, we look at a few of the things we tend to forget when we are tired or stressed.
2021 has been a hard year, and it is weighing on everyone. So how do we finish the year strong, and continue to run our race well?

In the second part of the series, we take a look at King Saul, and how his actions we hiding a deeper issue that many of us struggle with.
Ever heard the phrase, "Fake it til you make it"? Well, whether we realize it or not, we can be really good at faking it in life, and it is time to drop the mask and embrace who God made us to be!
As we continue our kickoff series, we shift to being a better equipped believer. If a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, how do can we ensure we stay strong
One of the big passions of the OneChurch leadership is a strong community of faith. As we look at the early church, they embodied what we want. Pastor Matt is going to unpack what the early church had, and what it looks like in today's context.
We are so excited for this Sunday! Tune in and listen to Pastors Mitch, Michelle, and Matt share their vision and passion in this new season of ministry!
This morning we are honored to have Pastor Paul Israelson, our District Superintendent, join us and share!
Intro Well, the time has come to conlude our study of the letters to the Thessalonians. Have you enjoyed our little study this summer? Do you think we should do more book studies? One of the things that I have enjoyed about it is that we have to deal with topics as they come. I enjoy taking a topic and…
As we dive into chapter 2, Paul talks about one of the signs of Christ's return, and how we can be ready.
As we move into 2 Thessalonians, Paul has received a report that things have gotten worse for the church, and this is his response to them.
As we wrap up 1 Thessalonians, Paul reminds us to be ready for Christ's return, and a reminder to stay committed to the work of the ministry.
As we dive into Chapter 4, Paul calls us to holy lives, set apart for a divine purpose.
As we dive into chapter 3, Paul continues to praise the Thessalonians' faith, and begins to transition to a new focus.
As we dive into the second chapter, Paul exhorts us to live in a manner worthy of God, to set an example, and make the most of the time we have.
As we begin our new series, we begin in 1 Thessalonians 1, and we see the things that mattered to Paul in this young church.
As we wrap up our series Stranded, we look at fasting and how there's a lot more to it then just 'not eating'.
When it comes to the islands of life, we need to train our kids how to survive those same islands. As we train our kids, we refine our own understanding.
As we continue our series Stranded, we look at Daniel and how he exemplified the kind of pray Jesus was calling us to.
Over the course of June we are exploring the question, "What if you were stranded on an island of faith?" What are the things we would need to spiritually survive?
As we conclude our series, we see how all these factors come together, and forms a community that is unlike anything in all the world.
Intro Continuing our series Today is Pentecost Sunday following service, for anyone who is interested, we will have a time of prayer and asking the Holy Spirit to fill us Redvers, Darren will be leading you through the after service Carlyle Campus and Online, if you want to participate, we are just going…
Scripture tells us that we are a new creation in Christ. But what was wrong with the old self? Did we really need to be saved from ourselves?
Happy Mother's Day! Today, we look at the woman described in Proverbs 31, and how, with God's help, all moms can be that woman in their families and communities.
Jesus said that the true worshipers will worship in spirit and in truth. As we unpack 'in spirit', we first look at how there is unity in the Spirit
As we wrap up our series Anything, we look at 1 Corinthians 9 and Paul's example of being who we need to be for the sake of the gospel.
Last week we saw the heaviness of sin through the eyes of the Old Testament. But what about the New Testament? Is it softer? Do things change? What is sin?
We have a banner at OneChurch that says, "Anything short of sin." This begs the question what is sin? How do we understand it? Does it apply equally to everyone?
It is Easter Sunday. We celebrate that the grave isn't the end of the story, and that Jesus will overcome anything to give us new life.
As we gather for Good Friday, we look at the history of man, and how it was going to take an act of God to save us.
We conclude our series by looking at the ultimate barrier breaker, Jesus. The story of Palm Sunday is an example of Jesus's desire to remove anything that might keep us from God the Father.
At both of our locations, we have a banner that says we as a congregation commit to remove all barriers, walls, or hindrances that keep people from knowing Jesus. This month, we are going to look at the barriers we put up in our own lives, and how to tear them down.
This morning, we are going to compare doing things God's way vs man's way. Is there a benefit to doing it God's way? What if the result is the same?
We are called to be barrier breakers, removing anything that separates people from where God wants them to be. This morning, we are going to look at identifying barriers and why they need to come down.

As we conclude our series, Open Up, we are going to look at the early church and ask the question, "What does this mean for us?"
As we continue our series, we are going to look at the importance of our story, and how sharing God's impact in our life can make all the difference in someone else's.
There are ways that the world can restrict us, but there are ways that we restrict ourselves. One of the ways to step into God's freedom is to open our hearts to others through confession.
Intro We are starting a new series called Open Up . This series is going to move us towards the AGM and some plans and dreams we have for this year. But after 2020, and one of the big themes and keywords was lockdown. We had to isolate, we had to reduce group sizes, and were met with a number of other…
As we head into 2021, everyone wants this year to be better then last year. However, that won't just happen on it's own. What can we do to ensure 2021 starts and finishes well?
As 2020 draws to a much anticipated close, Pastor Matt and Michelle wanted to look back at the year that it was. Despite the distractions and confusion, it was a great year, and God worked in ways we need to celebrate.
Join us for our candlelight service at 6:30 pm. We are going to sing, we are going to be encouraged, and we are going to join together to let the light of Christ shine brighter then ever.
Wrapping up the Dark Days of Christmas, we look closely at the wise men coming from the east. What were their motivations to seek out fulfillment of a Jewish prophecy and how does that relate to us today.
One of the less discreet struggle people have during Christmas is with greed. We are going to look at two groups of people who have vastly different responses to the arrival of the Messiah. As we do, we are going to ask the question, "How can we do Christmas differently?" based on what we learn from the story.
As we continue our series, The Dark Days of Christmas, we are going to look at anxiety, what Joseph would have felt, and what does scripture tell us in those times of anxiety.
We are starting a new series, The Dark Days of Christmas. For most, Christmas is an exciting time with family and friends. However, some find Christmas a lonely time of year, and we are going to see that this isn't a new feeling.
As we wrap up our series, A Call to Remember, we are invited to reflect and take part on the greatest act of remembrance in the Christian faith, communion.
As we continue in our series, A Call to Remember, we look at a few stories out of Israel's past that are meant to be reminders for our present.
This Sunday, we are going to pause to remember. Remember those who fought for our freedoms, those who continue to fight for theirs, and the one who paid the price so we could experience true freedom.
We are starting a new series called, A Call to Remember. As we lay the ground work, we see what scripture says about memory, and the impact it has on our day to day life.
To wrap up our series, Identity, we switch gears and look to the one who was greater then Moses. What can we learn about ourselves and life as we observe the life of Jesus.
After his conversation with God, Moses sets of with a new found sense of calling and direction. But what happens when opposition comes his way?
In the second part of our series, we see humility opens the door to a deeper understanding of our identity.
Over the next 4 weeks, we ask the most important question we could ever ask ourselves; who am I? We will look at Moses, and how he discovered not only his identity, but so much more along the way.
We wrap up our series by asking the question, 'Why OneChurch?' We've given lots of reasons to go to church in general, but why come to this church?
Last week we started talking about the message of the church. The message that Jesus forgives our sin is so important, but it is only half the message. This week, pastor Matt unpacks what we are saved for.
Every good movement unifies under a strong message. So what is the church's message? It is so deep and rich, we are going to take the next couple of weeks to unpack it.
As we kick off our new series, we going to take a deeper look at this thing called church, and what our role is and what is the church's role in the world.
Next week begin our new series, Why Church? and in preparation I want to stir some urgency in us as God has stirred it in me. The time is short, we don't know the hour Christ returns, yet we live like we do. There is no time like the present, so let's stop waiting and really start living!
As we prepare to launch this fall, the final step in making this kickoff the best it can be, we need to spread the word.
Using prayer for healing and intercession as we begin to get ready to gather together on site.
As we prepare for launch this Fall, we have a major obstacle between us and that reality. We desperately need God to move and do what only he can do, so that we can gather and do what He has called us to do.
We are a month away from our expectant reopening and there is lots to do. Over the next month, we are going to be tallking about banding together and doing everything we can to ensure that this is the best kickoff yet.
As we wrap up our series on Colossians, Paul has some final thoughts to share with us about prayer and wisdom in our conduct.
As we continue our series, Not Just a Trend, we dive into Colossians 3 and see how the Apostle Paul believes there should be a marked difference in life before and after Christ.
In a world where we are bombarded by information, consider the distinction between information and knowledge.
Paul is writing to the church is Colossae, warning them about a 'new teaching' that is coming and how dangerous it is to their faith. Beware the deception.
As we wrap up our series, The New Normal, we look at our opinions and the power they have. We talk about which battles the fight, and how winning the wrong battle could lead to losing the war for someone's salvation.
When the church, began, God gave them power to spread the gospel effectively and rapidly. As we come out of COVID-19, the church is going to need the same power to be on display to see lives transformed by the love of God.
The New Normal is a phrase we have heard a lot lately. We acknowledge that nothing can stay the same, but what does it mean for the church? What does it mean for our faith? Does new always mean easy?
This series has been building to this moment; Pentecost. What is the significance of Pentecost, what have we missed, and can we still experience this today?
We looked at who the Holy Spirit is. Now we look at what he does in the life of the believer and the church.
When we read Scripture, we read amazing stories of how the Holy Spirit moved among God's people. Yet we look at most churches today and don't see anything resembling that same activity. Why? Has the Spirit gone missing? Has he taken a break? Or maybe we don't understand him as we should, and it is time to turn things around and allow God to be God in our communities.
Listen to Michelle Redstone as she talks about the strength, dignity, struggles and fears that come with being a mother.
Peter and some of the other disciples go back to what they know. Jesus comes to them and gets them back on track.
In the time between Jesus' resurrection and his ascension, we see the disciples wrestling with the reality of his death and the news of his resurrection. This message, we see Thomas doubting what the others are saying, and how Jesus calms his doubts.
Jesus has died and been raised to life again, but the disciples are having a tough time with this fact. Those who haven't seen are wrestling. We wrestle in those times when the victory that Jesus has won is not all that apparent. This is why it is imperative we are grounded in truth.
The completion of the Easter story. Jesus is Risen! He is alive and seated at the right hand of God.
In this short message, I invite you into the story of Jesus' death on the cross. I invite you to walk where Jesus walked, and feel what his followers would have felt.
Look at the interesting times we live in and how God is using this change up to reach into the people of our communities.
In this time of isolation, social distancing, and quaratine, it is important that there is nothing new under the sun. This isn't the first time this has happened to the church, but there is victory on the other side.
