The Slow Descent as Presented by Bootu Inc.: Recent Episodes

Van Shipley

Comedy stalwarts Van Lee and Brian Vaughan are just the voices needed in today's society of do-gooders and positive thinkers. The duo gets together to judge things made by people much better than them and to make jokes along the way. Seriously though, they are pretty funny. Give one of these a listen and you'll immediately be hooked by the first Admiral Ackbar impersonation you hear.

UPDATE: It has come to the attention of the Bootu Inc. Studios that some people have had trouble with this episode. We are re-uploading it, and you can now use this link to listen to our hateful vitriol. Thanks, and sorry for the issues, jerks.

Just like the 90s dinosaur movie, They’re Back! I’m of course referring to the two non-tyrannosaurus hosts of this podcast, Van Lee and Brian Vaughan! Today the two idiots bring you their take on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is (as expected) less glowing than every other review out there. Of course Brian also takes phone calls from a few special guests, and they talk about masterbation a lot! So nothing really changed.

Whoa! We have a crazy episode on our hands for you folks out there today. Today we discuss a myriad of topics including the 1985 hit sci-fi film The Galaxy Invader, in which a family of hobos valiantly fight off a peaceful green man while wearing hobo sacks. We also discuss The Resurrection of Jake the Snake, a documentary on Netflix also pertaining to a green man, former professional wrassler Jake the Snake Roberts and his redemption and victory over drugs and alchohol. We also introduce the very first drop-based segment in the podcast's history; America the Amazing, where we discuss ghosts and witches. Also, Spencer Hendricks is here!

SPOILERS WARNING: Everyone dies. That's pretty much what the warning should say when you talk about Game of Thrones, which hosts Brian and Van do at great length today. They go full nerd on this one and discuss all that has happened so far in season 6, as well as various fan theories regarding Hot Pie. Seriously though, if you haven't watched season 6 and you don't want it to be ruined, then you're an idiot because that's what everyone wants to do: ruin it for everyone else. Listen and enjoy!

It has been too long my friends. Far too long you have waited for a new episode of TSDaPbBI Podcast. We apologize whole-heartedly for the delay, and to make it up to you we are giving you discussion of one of the top 3 cinematic masterpieces in history. It stars a man on a mission. Well, eventually he's on a mission. The first 4/5ths of the movie is mostly just a romantic comedy. But he's not just any man, he's a mustachioed, gooey, heartthrob who knows doctor rape jokes and can speak Hamlet.

This is of course our review of the glorious train wreck of a film called Road to Revenge. Or Geteven. It can't decide! You're welcome yet again, America.

Finally, The Rock has come back... to Dallas! Well, actually Arlington, but let's not be too picky. This year's Wrestlemania promised to be a show for the ages, with a triple main event including two old men heaving around, a talented top face getting squashed, and so many Superman Punches. It wasn't all awful though, as Van and Brian invite fellow wrasslin' aficionado Justin Hughes into the event's discussion. Also, Lana is hot.

Since the beginning of civilization man has pitted one against another in a bout of pure strength. The ancient Greeks would send forth champions to battle nude in the Colosseum. The Nineties presented forth robots which battled, aptly named Battlebots. But since the mid-eighties there has been only one true test of strength... Wrestlemania. Hogan-Andre, Macho Man-Dragon, Y2J-Fandango. Wrestlemania has hosted the best of the best. So in this episode, listen to hosts Brian and Van complain loudly about what will happen in this year's event! They talk Triple H and Roman Reigns, Ambrose and Jimmie Johns, and Stardust and ladders!

Bowling, golf, monopoly. While these three have always been held up as sports of champions, they have generally been sorely underrepresented in video games. Hosts Van Lee and Brian Vaughan are here to try to change that. This week they review Bruinswick Pro Bowling, Monopoly Family Fun Pack, and Rory McIlroy's PGA Tour for the PS4, X-Box One, and Wii U!
