For 2000 years most Christians have met on Sunday, the first day of the week, in celebration of their Savior rising from the dead. The resurrection is spoken about in every gospel as a fact. To reject Jesus’ resurrection also requires one to reject the clear teaching of the Bible. Why are you here today? What will you do with Jesus today, the day that we celebrate his resurrection from the dead? Have you accepted Jesus’ death as your substitute? Does your life support your answer? Today, we will look at the foundation of our faith, the gospel and the reality that it hinges on the resurrection we believe and celebrate each Sunday!
2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Jesus died for the sins of those who believe and he was buried!
Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to over 500 people.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Believe the gospel and celebrate!
