Hi, I’m Sundara Fawn, a fellow traveler on the spiritual journey. I’m the creator of Reawakening the Soul, a revolutionary transformational program that blends a mixture of metaphysics and psychology that guides others on a soul awakening adventure.
I’m an identical twin who arrived after my sister. My mother had no idea she was having twins, and I was the surprise of her life as she exclaimed: “where did you come from?!” My mother repeatedly shared this story, and the repetition of this phrase became instilled in my psyche.
Another factor that significantly ignited my curiosity was that due to being a twin, people were always staring at us. My mind’s interpretation was “There must be something wrong with me….who am I?”
As a result of my upbringing, I began a vision quest to seek the answers to three internal burning questions: • Where did I come from? • Who am I? • What is the purpose of life?
Being raised in a Catholic family, I was never able to digest their beliefs, as they couldn’t provide me with answers to my questions. Instead of conforming, I chose to speak directly to God, demanding to know Him with the fervor of my heart’s devotion. My prayers were answered, and my guides arrived.
As a baby boomer, I was conditioned to be a secretary because jobs were available for women in this field. Right out of high school, I entered the corporate field as an executive secretary only to experience suffering from depression, insomnia, and a feeling of emptiness. After seven years of enduring this pain, I decided to follow my dreams as an artist and enrolled in college.
While in school, I became intrigued and studied Joseph Campbell. Absorbing his concepts of “The Hero’s Journey” and “Follow Your Bliss.” It confirmed my decision to follow a career path that would bring joy and bliss. I then started studying the ancient wisdom teaching of the Upanishads, where they speak about bliss being found in the soul.

Matthew Barnes was born in Greenville, North Carolina in 1970. He attended the University of North Carolina State, obtaining degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry before earning a doctorate degree in Chiropractic. Since graduation, he has also attained fellowship degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, along with intense Naturopathic studies.
Since the beginning of time, humankind has pondered the meaning of life, the extension of life beyond this world, and the existence of a God or creator. The Hermetica is the second major work of the Ancient Egyptian philosopher Hermes Trismegistus, who is reported to have had an awakening during an extended period of meditation. During this awakening, Hermes, much like Jesus and Buddha later on, claims to have been exposed to the meaning of life, the presence of a world beyond this world, the existence of God, and the secret of our immortality. The Hermetica is his account of the experience.
The Kybalion is probably the most controversial spiritual work of the twentieth century. Its teachings are based on the works of Hermes, an ancient Egyptian philosopher. Like Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Socrates and a few other philosophical and religious founders, Hermes is said to have received his knowledge in a vision during a period of deep concentration. During his “awakening", Hermes claimed to have been exposed to the truth of the world, how it works, and what lies beyond. He believed that he had experienced "the Soul of the Universe”. The Kybalion is a categorization and explanation of the seven main laws of life, as expressed to Hermes during his vision. Legend has it that these laws have been passed down in secret for centuries from teacher to students considered ready for the information, much like Jesus’s passing on of inner knowledge only to his closest disciples. The initial publishing of The Kybalion by “The Three Initiates" is reported to be the first time the general public has had access to these inner teachings. The seven laws of The Kybalion will sound familiar to many, for they are the underlying themes of this existence. But learning the exact significance and meaning of these laws has been a closely guarded secret for millennia. A secret that, once understood, has the potential to transform your life, and your understanding of life. The immediate effect of the teachings is believed to be an enhanced ability to live a better life, in all areas of concern. The long term effect is an evolution of consciousness and awareness toward higher and higher levels. In the Bible, it is said that Adam fell into a deep sleep. Nowhere does it ever say that he woke up. An “awakening” that carries us beyond our current level of cognition and perception is the ultimate goal of the teachings of The Kybalion.

Sitting in a concert one evening, I had an amazing visual image of the music accompanied with a flow of words and images that expressed what I was feeling. I quickly started drawing on my program, trying to capture the movement and harmony, putting an audio message into a visual form. That was the beginning. I’ve gone to many concerts since then and continue to be amazed at how visual music really is. My InWord Art collection has evolved over the years but the common thread is music. Songs come in many forms – a sweet cello in a string quartet or a cheerful bird in the trees close to my house. All evoke a poetic place inside me to draw and write – my InWord place. The animal drawings have come from a different place but one still associated with nature. I’ve studied the spiritual attributes of animals that the Ancients have observed. Since they didn’t separate the physical from the spiritual, I’ve tried to add symbolism to each drawing that reflects that connectedness. All the animals teach us about our physical walk on the earth and the spiritual walk of our hearts. The words have come from what I’ve learned, then distilled down to mesh with the drawings. Magical and mermaids – it’s fun to see the possibilities and be tuned in to what our human eyes don’t – or won’t – see. Mother Earth and the Universe work in mysterious ways. Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. My hope is the energy I’ve instilled into each drawing will give you hope and let you live with harmony, at least at this moment.

Meet Angie
I spent most of my life feeling like I didn’t quite fit in and searching for a place of belonging. Around the age of 7, I remember seeing a ghost. When I talked about the experience, I was told that it wasn’t real, my eyes were playing tricks on me, and called weird or crazy. I learned very quickly not to talk about such experiences, as well as, rationalize them away.
In 2012, my life was changed forever when I was introduced to Reiki. I had finally found a place where I “fit” in, a place of community. I began to uncover and embrace the beautiful gifts I have been blessed with.
I was able achieve much healing through the use of Reiki and Past Life Regressions. I was able to release many hurts and major roadblocks through these two modalities. In October 2013, I had the amazing experience of attending a Dr. Brian Weiss’s week long training, where I learned how to lead individuals and groups through past life meditations.
Although Tarot cards had always intrigued me, they never felt quite right. Then I was introduced to angel cards. I fell in love with their gentle nature and messages. In January 2016, I completed Doreen Virtue’s online class and became a Certified Angel Card Reader. The cards have given me another form of communication with spirit, and I have incorporated them in my intuitive readings. I am still amazed how the right cards turn up at exactly the right time or the same card continually shows up.
In August 2016, I completed my Reiki training and obtained my Reiki Master Teacher certificate.
In May 2017, I completed my level 1 Soul Realignment certification. Soul Realignment is a nontraditional Akashic Record course.
Over the years, I have had the privilege in assisting clients in their healing through one or multiple of these modalities. Each client is unique as is their healing process. Witnessing their progressions, watching them release hurts and blocks, and embracing their light has been such an honor.

As vice president of a privately held publishing and business counseling firm, she thought the road of life was wide open and she would easily coast into her later years. With a professional life secured, personal time was happily spent serving on non-profit boards, serving on committees, mentoring college women, traveling the world and sharing her professional and personal skills with friends as they started up their own businesses.
The effortless ride to retirement was not to be the case. Encountering her own crisis of direction led her to a personal journey of questions. Finding Your Coach: Diving Deep Within is her result of that personal journey.
On this new quest, with the tables turned, the discovery and genuine affection for questions began to take hold of her thought process.
