VeggieCast is back!

Sorry for not being around for such a long time, but we are back and continue to post our weekly conversations with inspirational vegans again!

For our 7th episode, we had a nice conversation with Willem, who is our first guest after a long break. We talked about ethical veganism and how society is shaped by the social construction of carnism. Is it possible to change this normality and how can the philosophy of verganism become the base of the social norms instead of is counter-narrative of carnism?

We will publish a brand new episode every Tuesday (we had an exception today by publishing on Wednesday), having conversations with different people from the vegan community. Our goal is to break the stigma around veganism, and show that this ideology is for everyone.

Welcome to this very special episode of VeggieCast!

We have a special episode for you today!

Our guest is Alicja, who is the founder of the first Vegan Student Association in the Netherlands: VSA Groningen. She told us about her inspirations and goals behind forming VSA and her journey to become a vegan. At the end of the episode, we talked about our online events and calls with our members.

We hope you enjoyed this conversation and got some inspiration on the vegan lifestyle!

Studying in a Dutch University and there is no vegan student association in there? No worries, you can form one yourself! Reach out to one of the VSAs and our community would be glad to help you throughout this journey!

Today, our guest is Giovana, who is the head of the marketing team of VSA Rotterdam and, if you follow us from Instagram, the chef you see on weekly cooking tutorials.

We talked about two different topics: environmental veganism and, of course, food since her journey to be vegan began with environmental reasons. Also, we are talking about Gio's passion: cooking. She talks about how did she start her own company by following what she is passionate about. As Gio is a Brazilian herself, we talked about traditional Brazilian food as well. Besides that, we had a conversation on mindful eating at the end of the episode.

In this episode, we are diving into the world of art with Varvara, who is a second-year media and communication student, who is working on a unique art project (https://www.instagram.com/cream_bryul.love/).

She creates a visual which combines a vegan food and a related artwork. It may seem weird when you hear and it is kind of hard to explain her work, but what she does it combining her two passion: art and food.

We hope you are staying safe wherever you are! New episodes coming up on every Tuesday so stay tuned!

Welcome to the very first episode of VeggieCast!

For our very first episode, we had a nice conversation with Adriana, who is one of the founders of VSA (Vegan Student Association) Rotterdam, about dealing with non-vegan friends and relatives and discussed the issues raised within this topic: Is it easier to talk about veganism with a stranger than a friend? What is our way to approach people who are not familiar with vegan ideology? Does this debate base on the differences among our moral standards?

We didn't talk about COVID-19 since you probably had enough. We hope this conversation brought a little bit of joy to you and the tips we gave are useful enough!

We will publish a brand new episode every Tuesday, having conversations with different people from the vegan community. Our goal is to break the stigma around veganism, and show that this ideology is for everyone.
