Messiah’s House · El Roi: The God Who Sees Me – Mike SilvaToday’s message centers on one of the most personal names of God found in Scripture: El Roi, “The God Who Sees Me.” Through the story of Hagar and the testimony of God’s people throughout the Bible, we discover that God never loses sight of His children. His watch-care is not driven by suspicion but by love, compassion, and a desire to draw near to those who are hurting. As we examine the lives of Hagar, Israel, David, and ultimately the work of Christ on the cross, we are reminded that God sees our pain, our struggles, our sacrifices, our wounds, and even our potential. Whether you feel overlooked, forgotten, or uncertain about your future, this message offers the assurance that your Heavenly Father knows your name, walks with you through every circumstance, and lovingly watches over your life. Because El Roi sees you, your story is not over.

Messiah’s House · The Idol Of ApprovalAfter Paul planted churches in Galatia, false teachers (often called Judaizers) told believers that faith in Jesus was not enough-they also had to keep the Jewish law, including circumcision, to be saved. Paul writes this letter to the churches to remind them that we are saved by grace through faith alone, not by keeping the law. Paul reminds us we should not return to legalism but we should live in the freedom and power of the Holy Spirit. This message is based on the second chapter of Galatians and speaks to the fact that we should stand for the gospel even when it is difficult.

Messiah’s House · Different by Design – Stephen TowToday’s message comes from Ephesians 5, where the Apostle Paul highlights two defining marks of the Christian life: how believers are to live their personal lives and how they are to function in their distinct roles within marriage. In both, we discover that following Christ sets us apart, not only in our personal walk but also in marriage.
Join us as we uncover God’s blueprint for marriage and discover how embracing His design leads to stronger, healthier, and Christ-centered relationships. Biblical marriage is different by design.

Messiah’s House · No More Playing Church – Jason CraftThis message is based on the fourth chapter of Ephesians where the Apostle Paul encourages us to walk worthy of the calling to which we were called. We are all called and that calling requires us to live life in community and to constantly walk out our faith by loving others. Messiah’s House · The Majestic Mystery – Jason CraftThis is the third message in our Summer Series entitled “By the Book.” Ephesians 3 outlines Pauls’s defense of his mission to the Gentiles, explaining that the “mystery” of Christ has been revealed. Messiah’s House · From Graves To Glory – Jason CraftThis message is based on the second chapter of the Book of Ephesians. This message is a great reminder about all that God has done for us!The post From Graves To Glory appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.
Messiah’s House · A Prayer From Prison – Jason CraftThis message is based on a prayer that Paul prayed in Ephesians chapter 1. This first chapter is not about information but about intercession. Listen now to this first message in our new Summer Series called “By the Book.”The post A Prayer From Prison appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.

Messiah’s House · Worship: A Matter Of The Heart – Justin GarciaAll of us can find many different reasons to worship or not to worship God. One thing is for sure, there are external factors that can influence our worship heavily. The reality is only one thing matters to God: it’s the condition of our heart. We cannot be true worshippers if our worship is shaped by the traditions and expectations of men. The Lord doesn’t want worship born out of religious duty. He wants worship born out of sincerity, authenticity, and obedience. He’s seeking worshippers who will worship him in spirit and in truth. The post Worship: A Matter Of The Heart appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.

Messiah’s House · The Day Hell Lost – Jason CraftJesus told the disciples that He would die and that He would be raised on the third day. Jesus told the disciples how he would die and what would take place when He was lifted up. Jesus appeared to the disciples after He had risen and He spent forty days teaching them things concerning the Kingdom. After Christ ascended, the Church was birthed on the Day of Pentecost but in less than 20 years people were questioning if Christ was ever actually raised from the dead. This teaching deals with the resurrection of Christ and what became available to us through Him being lifted up on the cross. The post The Day Hell Lost appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.
Messiah’s House · Reigning In Life – Jason CraftFrom the first chapter of Genesis to the last chapter of Revelation, scripture makes it clear that mankind was created to reign. This message deals with both God’s sovereignty and man’s dominion on the Earth. The post Reigning In Life appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.
Messiah’s House · We Are Family – Stephen TowAs believers, many of us have discovered the powerful, life-changing truth of our identity in Christ. But how often do we reflect on the identity we share together as the body of Christ?
In today’s message, “We Are Family,” we will explore our shared identity as the family of God. We’ll examine our need for God’s family, define what that family looks like, and confront the barriers that keep us from fully engaging in it.

Messiah’s House · The Utterance Gifts – Jason CraftWe are called as God’s people to pursue the gifts of the Holy Spirit and therefore it is important that we understand what each gift means. The utterance gifts listed in 1st Corinthians chapter 12 are gifts that say something. This teaching deals with prophesy, different kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues. Each gift is defined in this message and there are biblical examples given concerning each one of these gifts.

Messiah’s House · Are The Gifts For Today – Jason CraftThere has been much debate in the Body of Christ as to whether the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today or did miracles die out with the last Apostle. There are also many Believers who are simply confused about the gifts because they have had bad experiences or because they have had bad teaching concerning this subject. This message shows us from a biblical perspective that the gifts are for today and also addresses why so many people are apathetic concerning the miraculous gifts of the Spirit. The post Are The Gifts For Today appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.
Messiah’s House · Closing The Generational Gap – Jacob LarraThis message reveals how the enemy’s strategy is not just to attack individual faith, but to disrupt discipleship between generations. When generations stop understanding one another and stop pouring into one another, faith is no longer passed down.
It teaches that closing this generational gap begins with a clear understanding of identity in Christ, because identity is the foundation for a faithful life. From that foundation, believers are called to live out visible, everyday obedience so the next generation can see what genuine faith looks like under pressure. Finally, it emphasizes the importance of sharing personal testimony as the bridge that demonstrates God’s faithfulness and helps younger believers develop faith of their own.

Messiah’s House · Love: The Foundation For The Spiritual Gifts – Justin GarciaEveryone wants to be a superhero nowadays. To have special powers would make us feel special, important, and needed to the world. The Corinthian church had a similar perspective when it came to the spiritual gifts found in 1 Corinthians 12. These gifts were considered badges of honor and superiority within the church. Paul combats this view in chapter 13 by grounding them in the truth that there is a more excellent way. Love should be the real reason why we earnestly desire the gifts. They’re given for the benefit of others; not for our own. Love gives the spiritual gifts true meaning!

Messiah’s House · What Not To Do – Jason CraftChristianity is not a passive religion that advocates waiting on God to act. God has already acted! God has already provided everything we need for life and godliness. The Christian life is not about getting stuff from God but rather it is a process of renewing the mind and appropriating by faith what God has already provided by grace. We need active faith! We must also understand that active faith is not always about doing something but sometimes it is about not doing certain things. This message deals with four things that you shouldn’t do in 2026. Messiah’s House · When God Doesn’t Show Up, Miracle Series – Jason CraftHave you ever waited on God only to have Him not show up in time? Have you ever asked God for help and yet the “worst” possible thing still happens? In this teaching we see a great miracle that Jesus performed when He raised Lazarus from the dead. The question is why did Jesus let Lazarus die in the first place? Jesus could have healed Lazarus sooner but He chose to let him die. This message deals with the purpose behind all miracles and it addresses some temptations that we face when it seems that God didn’t show up in time. The post When God Doesn’t Show Up – Miracle Series appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.
Messiah’s House · The Miracle of the Right Mind, Miracles Series – Jason CraftJesus performed 37-40 individual miracles that were recorded in the gospels. John tells us that Jesus performed so many other miracles that even if they were written one by one, the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. One of the primary types of miracles that Jesus performed was the casting out demons. Many people today, even in the church, don’t believe in demons and yet Jesus said we would cast them out in His name. Messiah’s House · Only God Can Do This, Miracle Series – Jason CraftMany Christians tend to believe miracles are instances when God intervenes in human events by doing something that violates the laws of nature. However, definitions like this do not actually line up with the Bible’s definition of a miracle. This is the first message in a four part mini series on the subject of miracles. In this teaching we see how scripture defines a miracle and we also look at the four types of miracles that Jesus performed during His ministry time on Earth.

Messiah’s House · Understanding Forgiveness – Jason CraftIf forgiveness was based on a feeling, we would never forgive people. The truth is that forgiveness is a choice and we can actually choose to crucify our feelings. Not only is forgiveness a choice, it is also a commandment given to us by Jesus. Obeying God’s commands is a way that we show our love for God. This teaching deals with understanding forgiveness from a biblical perspective and how to actually forgive people when they hurt you.

Messiah’s House · The Ministry of Reconciliation – Jason CraftThe Kingdom of God is primarily relational, not simply functional. God created us for fellowship with Himself and those around us. Messiah’s House · How Deep Is Your Love – Justin GarciaWhat do we do when the enemy’s voice makes sense, only to deceive? When we endure suffering in our lives, the first thing the enemy convinces our flesh to do is question if God is indeed good. None of us want to experience disappointment, but these hardships can actually reveal some deep inner motives and expectations that we didn’t know existed within ourselves. Does your love for God have an ulterior motive? Are you serving God out of a desire to see Him meet your expectations? Messiah’s House · Worship Begins and It Continues – Justin GarciaWorship is an essential part of our faith and relationship with God. However, much of the idea of worship has been reduced to songs and experiences in Sunday morning church services. The truth is that God wants to connect with us on deeper levels than that. If we’re to partake in these deeper connections with the Father then worship must begin with revelation and continue through responsibility. Messiah’s House · From Stubbornness to Glory: A Path of Complete Surrender – Justin GarciaGod-ordained delays happen in life. None are more difficult to handle than those keeping us from our “promise land”. The truth is we can choose to be stubborn and have our way, or we can let God have his way and see his glory revealed in our lives. The latter only comes by walking the path of complete surrender. Messiah’s House · Jesus Is Not On The Ballot – Jason CraftMany Christians believe that we should separate religion and politics. Some Believers say that because we are not of this world that we should not worry about worldly affairs. Some people think that we should just vote for Jesus. The problem with this mindset is that Jesus is not on the ballot. Jesus is bigger than any political party or election season. Jesus doesn’t need our vote because He is King of Kings and Lord of lords. The question we must ask is what is our responsibility concerning the political world? Does it matter if Christians vote? What should we be looking for when it comes to an election? Listen and find out what God’s Word has to say about these things and more.

Messiah’s House · Selfish People – Jason CraftFreedom from sin is also freedom from self. When Jesus saved me from my sins, He also saved me from me. Messiah’s House · Common People – Jason CraftScripture tells us that the 1st Century Church had all things in common. They were devoted to fellowship with each other because they chose to focus on their commonalities. As Believers today, we have many things in common. We have a common faith. We all have the same Father. We are also all apart of the same family. We can have true fellowship with other Believers when we rally around our commonalities. This message deals with what it means to be devoted to fellowship and some of the excuses that people use to avoid being in community.

Messiah’s House · People on Mission – Jason CraftThis message deals with the time in which Jesus cursed a fig tree and it withered away. This event has been confusing for many Believers. Why would Jesus pick on that poor fig tree? Nowhere else do we see Jesus take his frustration out on nature. Most people interpret this event and say it’s connected to the impending judgement for Israel in A.D. 70. While this event may represent judgment, the only application Jesus makes is an illustration of believing prayer. So if the event is about prayer, what was Jesus actually teaching us? Listen to another possible application concerning the withered fig tree. The post People on Mission appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.

Messiah’s House · People Among Strangers – Jason CraftAs Believers, we all need to remember that the World is watching the Church. The eyes of the World are on the Church and in a large way the World forms an opinion of God based on what they see happening among God’s people. We know that the World has a view of us as God’s people but the real question is how are we to view the World as the Church? How should we treat those who are not the people of God? How should we view the stranger and outsider? Messiah’s House · You are God’s People – Jason CraftDid you know that almost all the ‘you’ exhortations in the New Testament are in the plural and not in the singular? While it’s certainly appropriate to apply the promises of God personally, remember that much of what we’re told to do can only be fleshed out in community as we live out the gospel together. We as God’s people are a special people because we are His own possession. As God’s people we are to look different than the world looks. Messiah’s House · Daddy Issues – Leanna CraftDaddy issues can affect both males and females alike. The Devil is the Father of lies and one of His main motives is to deceive us about the true character of God as our loving Father. Our view of God as our Father shapes our lives. Our relationship, or lack of, with an earthly father can help form our identity and perception of God. This sermon reveals what Daddy Issues are, how to be free, and see God as The Good Father no matter how you grew up.

Messiah’s House · Competing – Jason CraftThe Holy Spirit is not just an influence or force but He is a person. The Scriptures attribute to the Holy Spirit characteristics that only a person can truly possess. He is portrayed as a thinking being, a being who has a mind, an emotional being, and a volitional being. The Holy Spirit reasons, speaks, and He can even be grieved. The Holy Spirit has a positive ministry in our lives and one of His roles is to reveal the plans of God to us. He will speak to us and lead us into abundant life if we will choose to heed His voice. We must cultivate fellowship with the Holy Spirit and learn how to hear his voice while at the same time, recognizing that there are other voices competing for our attention. This message deals with three different voices that will oppose the voice of God at certain times in our journey.

Messiah’s House · Your Past Is Not Yours – Jason CraftThe ministry of The Holy Spirit is one of comfort, not condemnation. His role is positive, not negative! The Spirit convicts us of righteousness so that we have confidence to draw near to God. The Holy Spirit wants to inspire confidence, not self doubt. Messiah’s House · Taking Comfort in Conviction – Jason CraftThe ministry of the Holy Spirit is not one of condemnation, it’s one of comfort. Just as God did not send Jesus to condemn the world, Jesus did not send the Holy Spirit to condemn the world. When we think about Holy Spirit conviction, we need to first understand that His role in our lives is positive, not negative. This message deals with how the Holy Spirit convicts us and how we can be strengthened and comforted by His convictions.

Messiah’s House · The Gospel of Fear – Jason CraftMany people in the Church were saved by the gospel of fear rather than the gospel of love. In other words, many people come to Christ simply because they are afraid of eternal damnation, not because they want an everlasting place with a God who loves them. When a person gets saved out of fear they usually continue to serve God out of fear and the end result is lukewarm christianity. This message deals with three main reasons that you never have to be afraid of God or serve God out of fear.

Messiah’s House · Lessons From Philippians – Gary LondonAccording to Acts 16, on Paul’s second missionary journey, he planted a church in the city of Philippi. About ten years later, those Christians were in a time of intense persecution, so Paul wrote a letter to them (Philippians) to equip them with the truths they needed to persevere victoriously through all their trials and troubles. The lessons are all centered around joy – overcoming, victorious, triumphant joy! These lessons are relevant to us today, with the hardships and shaking that many are experiencing.

Messiah’s House · Truths From The Tomb – Jason CraftFrom a historical standpoint, almost everyone knows something about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is by far the most well attended Sunday service every year for churches across the land. Many people know that Jesus was laid in a tomb after his death and that a stone was placed over the entrance so that no one could steal His body. Scripture tells us that when the women went to the tomb to anoint the body of Jesus that they found the stone had been rolled away and that the tomb was empty. The empty tomb means that Jesus is risen from the dead! The empty tomb is relevant for us today and there are many truths that we can takeaway from that first Easter Sunday. Be careful to listen to this Easter message because the empty tomb is still speaking to us!

Messiah’s House · Demons, Deliverance, and a Double Loser – Jason CraftActs 12 presents the first loss from the apostolic company, the death of James, brother of John, one of the “Sons of Thunder”. At the same time, and from the same executioner, we find Peter delivered by the mighty hand of God. Why the difference? Why didn’t God send an angel to deliver James like He did for Peter? There is much more to this event than most people realize. Messiah’s House · Defeating Defeatism – Jason CraftOne of the most devastating attitudes in the Christian life is defeatism. A defeatist is one who emphasizes bad aspects or conditions and expects the worst. Defeatism causes people to accept defeat with the belief that further effort would be useless. This way of thinking is rooted in unbelief as it pertains to the promises of God and this attitude robs many people of living a victorious christian life. Messiah’s House · Hurry Up and Trust God – Jason CraftPatience is fruit of the Holy Sprit. The Bible also tells us that God Himself is patient with us. God would not need patience if He wasn’t choosing to wait on certain things. As God’s people, we are called to walk in patience because we too have to wait on certain things at certain times. Trusting God requires us to wait on God. While it may be difficult, waiting on the Lord isn’t a passive activity. There are things that we can do as we are waiting on God. This message deals with how to trust God when you are in a waiting season.

Messiah’s House · – Jason CraftTrust and obedience are companions in scripture. Trust initiates and motivates obedience. Obedience expresses, affirms, and confirms trust. We obey because we trust and because we trust we obey. Trust fuels obedience and obedience strengthens our trust. Failing to obey God demonstrates a lack of trust on our part. In this teaching we look at an Old Testament King who missed out on the promises of God because he simply didn’t trust and obey God.

Messiah’s House · Trust Is Not A Feeling – Jason CraftThere is a difference between feeling and trust. Feeling is an emotional response to a situation or person. Trust, on the other hand, is a belief that someone or something is reliable and capable. Trust is a decision, not a feeling. What you believe can change your feelings but what you feel also has the potential to change what you believe. This teaching deals with how to trust God even when you don’t feel like it.

Messiah’s House · Do I Really Trust God – Jason CraftTrust is defined as assured reliance on the character, ability, and strength of someone. One of the biggest reasons that people struggle to trust God is because they don’t really know Him. If God is a stranger, you will never really trust Him. Messiah’s House · The Work of Waiting – Jason CraftAfter the birth of Jesus, the Gospel of Luke mentions two people who bear witness to Him in the Temple: Simeon and Anna. Both Simeon and Anna lived a large part of their lives waiting on the Consolation of Israel. Anna actually spent decades fasting and praying in the Temple looking for redemption in Jerusalem. Simeon and Anna are worthy of our examination because their stories teach us some life lessons about how to wait on God. Listen to this message and learn about four things that you can give yourself to while you are in a season of waiting on God.

Messiah’s House · That’s Not Fair – Jason CraftThe gospel of Luke tells us that both Zacharias and Mary received a message from an angel named Gabriel. If you look carefully, both Zacharias and Mary got the same message. Not only did they get the same message but they also both responded the same way. Both Zacharias and Mary responded in doubt and disbelief. When Zacharias responds in doubt, Gabriel silences him for nine months for not believing God. When Mary responds in doubt, Gabriel comforts her and encourages her. It doesn’t seem fair that Mary gets a pass but Zacharias is silenced. Could there be some possible theological ideas about why Mary is comforted and Zacharias is chastised? Listen to this message as we take a deeper look into these events surrounding the birth of Christ.

Messiah’s House · Good News for All People – Jason CraftAfter the birth of Christ, God decides to send angels to make an announcement about the birth of His Son and our Savior. What’s interesting about this birth announcement is that we need to take note of to whom the angels speak. When Christ is born and God decides to give the announcement about His Son, notice that the Lord decides that the only people who will get the announcement are some shepherds in a field. The fact that God makes the announcement to shepherds has much to say to us as God’s people. The announcement is given to the shepherds but the angels proclaim that it is good news for all people. Listen to the good news of this announcement and be reminded of why we celebrate the birth of Christ.

Messiah’s House · Don’t Forget to Give Thanks – Jason CraftGod commands us to give thanks in all things. What most Believers fail to realize is that God wants us to be thankful because thanksgiving is actually a weapon that helps us resist the devil. Thanksgiving glorifies God but it also is a form of protection for us as God’s people. Unthankfulness not only grieves God, but it also locks us into a form of godliness that has no power. In this message we learn three very important reasons why we should never forget to give thanks to our God.

Messiah’s House · The Weapon of Thanksgiving – Jason CraftAs Believers, we know that we are in a spiritual battle that requires spiritual weapons in order to stand against our enemy. One of the most unlikely weapons that God has given to us is the weapon of giving thanks to God. Giving thanks to God in all things is a command for us as Christ followers. What many people don’t realize is that God’s command for us to give thanks is actually for our own benefit. Thanksgiving is a way for us to resist the devil and submit to God. Listen to this message and learn some of the ways that giving thanks to God helps us overcome our adversary.

Messiah’s House · Unselfish Faith – Gary LondonFaith is not a power or way for us to fulfill our own selfish desires. The kind of faith God wants us to have and live is faith that’s God-centered and unselfish; faith that’s not just for our needs or our good, but faith that trusts God for the blessing of someone else. The story in Mark 2 tells us about four people whose faith was put to work for their friend. They believed Jesus was the answer for their friend, and in faith, they did some things so their friend could encounter God. And Jesus rewarded their faith by healing their friend. The post Unselfish Faith appeared first on Messiah's House Church | Amarillo, Texas.
Messiah’s House · Fulfilling Your Purpose – Jason CraftIn John 17:4, Jesus said that he brought God glory by completing the work that the Father gave him to do. In other words, Jesus fulfilled his purpose on the Earth. As Believers and followers of Christ, we too should have a longing to fulfill our purpose here on the Earth. If we let Jesus be our model, we can see certain things that he consistently gave himself to that enabled him to fulfill the Father’s will. This message focuses on God’s ultimate purpose for us and how we can fulfill that purpose by daily doing certain things.

Messiah’s House · Good Lessons from a Bad Preacher, Strange Stories Series – Jason CraftThe story of Jonah is one of the most well-known and most unusual passages in the Biblical Old Testament. Although many people have heard about Jonah being swallowed by a fish, the meaning of the story is often mistaken.
