We are humans and onces in a while we do make mistakes but what you do after is the most important thing.
Our abilities as persons differs, don't try to do things that you don't have the abilities to do just because you saw your friend doing it.
So many persons are so comfortable with the way they are, they not really see any need for them to develop, but the truth is self-improvement and self-development should be part and parcel is our everyday routine.
