Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown. The angel of the Lord asked him, “Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.[a] The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now, but I would have spared it.” Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, “I have sinned. I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back. Numbers 22:31-34 (Living Bible).
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, John 3:14

We must all look up to Jesus so that we might be saved.
Then the Lord descended in the Cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle. “Aaron and Miriam, step forward,” he commanded; and they did. And the Lord said to them, “Even with a prophet, I would communicate by visions and dreams; but that is not how I communicate with my servant Moses. He is completely at home in my house! With him, I speak face-to-face! And he shall see the very form of God! Why then were you not afraid to criticize him?” Number 12:5-8 Living Bible
Moses was a friend to God and spoke to Him face to face. As His children, we must guard our time with God and spend time in prayer and Bible study.
So the Israelites did everything the Lord commanded Moses; that is the way they encamped under their standards, and that is the way they set out, each of them with their clan and family. Numbers 2:34
The family is the building box of society. Families may be biological,., chosen or it may be a church family.. Everyone needs a family. It is where we find strength and encouragement.
Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” 6 Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. Exodus 3:5-6 (NIV).
Moses had fled his home and started his life over when he realized that God was using everything in his life, to prepare him for his assignment. God takes note of us even when we think He doesn't see us or remember us..
“Here comes that dreamer!” they said to each other. “Come now, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we’ll see what comes of his dreams.” Genesis 37: 19-20.
Joseph's dream seemed impossible and yet it came to pass. When God gives us a dream we can be sure the Lord will bring the dream to pass in our lives.

17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? Genesis 17:17 (KJV)
When God makes a promise we can depend on it no matter how long it takes. Abraham and Sarah waited years for their son, Isaac but God kept his Word. He will also keep His Word to us. . God has spoken destiny into our lives. Hold on to it and He will bring it to pass.
In The Beginning
James Weldon Johnson captures the beauty of the message of the Black Preacher in the Creation. In the beginning, there was God. It is He who was then and is now. It is He that loves and created us with His own hand. It is God who loves us more than anyone else.

“But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches. Rev 2: 4-5 Living Bible

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. + It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. (III John 1: 1-4)
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. II John 1:6

But those who keep on sinning are against God, for every sin is done against the will of God. And you know that he became a man so that he could take away our sins, and that there is no sin in him, no missing of God’s will at any time in any way. So if we stay close to him, obedient to him, we won’t be sinning either; but as for those who keep on sinning, they should realize this: They sin because they have never really known him or become his. I John3:4-6 (New Living Translation)
When we stay close to God we can live a life that is pleasing to Him.

Do you want more and more of God’s kindness and peace? Then learn to know him better and better. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Matthew 2:9-10
What will we give to Jesus today?
. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. James 2:26 (NIV)

Remembering their own prior behavior will help them be patient and understanding with the people of Crete while sharing the gospel.
Paul sets a standard for leaders in ministry. He instructs Titus on the standard for bishops and reaffirms his commitment to God and his hope for eternal life.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. II Timothy 3:16-17
William Millers, Harold Camping and many before and since have had to face the challenge of answering the question. What is God saying to me in the scripture? When is he returning?
The Word stands on it’s own. We must be careful not to input so much of our point of view and our cultural bias that God’s Word becomes our greatly modified version of what we think God should be saying.
This knows also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, II Timothy 3: 1-2
Many, from the time of the first reading of II Timothy, have heard this indictment of personal sins These private choices have consequences that impact the entire society.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. I Timothy 2: 1-4 NIV

Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, I Timothy 1:18

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith. I Timothy 1:3-4 NIV
. Paul needed to go on to Macedonia but Timothy was to stay in Ephesis and teach truth when truth might not have been what the people wanted to hear.
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. II Thessalonians 3:3-5

The apostle Paul, as was his custom, sent words of encouragement to the young church. He was concerned about them and wanted to not only teach but also to encourage them along the way. We must remember to do the same.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry
You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 1 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.( Colossians 3:5;7-10)
Christ brings a wonderful change in our lives.
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Col2:2-3 (NIV)
Paul provided the encouragement every person needs in their Christian walk.
I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:25-27
The hope of glory is within each believer..It is Christ who lived as a man on this earth, died and rose again and now gives hope to each believer It is hope fulfilled in his coming, hope ever present in our lives through his indwelling and hope for a future secure with him in heaven.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
All that we need in this moment is in Christ. Have faith and rest in Him. Our faith opens the door to having our needs met.
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrew 6:10.
God does not forget his people. He is always there and He cares for His people
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Hebrew 4:12
The Word of God is a guidebook for Christians. It is a two-edged sword and nothing is hid.
We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. Hebrews 2;1
We must not only hear with our ears, we must also listen and obey the Words of the scripture.

In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.11 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.12 You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.hebrew 1:10-12.
The Lord our God is sure and dependable. He never changes.
Episode 126

Episode 111
It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body[a] in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. I Thessalonians 4:3
Paul teaches the church about santification.
