I am a self-taught DJ, and I began my journey into sound as of April 2001. Since then I have been fortunate to have held and still maintain residencies at a very wide range of bars, night clubs and high profile events. I am also a member of an eclectic talent-collective known as the "Vinyl Vandals" and long-term affiliate of the Murkage Cartel.

It is sometimes understandably but somewhat cynically said that a DJ is no more than a glorified CD player, and so perhaps everything a DJ does above and beyond playing the music that people want to hear is an extra or a bonus. It is these extras that I do to the best of my abilities. My turntablist skills are innovative, this along with my mixing technique and tune selection, that has evolved out of extensive experience in night clubs, radio stations, raves, and parties alike. I have found that this expertise cannot be taught, but only learnt through the continuous lessons of trial and error, practice, and diverse experiences.

Unfortunately all too often the consensus image of DJ’s is generally that of an arrogant male chauvinist, with an overwhelming and delusional notion of self importance. .. DJ’s are often perceived to be people that seek to add insult to injury by demanding extortionate rates of pay for "work" that often would have been better done by an automated computer play-list.

I pride myself on providing an excellent quality of service to all those of whom I seek to entertain. I love music, and for me DJ-ing is an extension of that affection for the popular form. To Deejay is an opportunity to share with others my interpretation of what I think is good music, regardless of its age and or genre. I aspire to one day, someday soon, write and produce my own music.
