In addition he held a number of positions during his tenure as Statistician-General. He served as co-chair of PARIS21 and as Chair of the United Nations Statistics Commission. He was the founding chair of the Statistics Commission of Africa (StatCom Africa) and chaired the African Symposium for Statistical Development (ASSD) up until his retirement in 2017. He was the Vice President of the International Statistics Institute (ISI) and a sponsor of the Young African Statistician (YAS) movement. He was one of the 25 person team of Independent Expert Advisory Group advising United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on Data Revolution. He is one of the ten member Independent Advisory Panel (IAP) to the UN Secretary General on the health of mothers, adolescents and children.

Boipelo Tladinyane a Solo African explorer who has travelled 54 of the African Countries in search for the true make up AFRICA. My curiosity about African languages, people, food, similarities etc is the reason why I started my journey across the continent using public transport. The love, security and warmth I experienced in the first few countries I visited is the reason I have to date visited 54 of the 55 countries that make up Africa. I chose to share publicly about my journey on social platforms as a way to let others see Africa through my eyes as a black African child in hope that they would have better understanding of who we are as African people and circumstances that have gotten us to where we are and be able to sympathies and connect with each other better for growth. Travelling solo I entered most of the countries through land borders as it was the most cost effective way for me.

During the 1980's Dr. Baloyi was a student at Columbia University, and became involved in the divestment movement against South Africa. In 1985 a series of protests culminated in a student takeover of Hamilton Hall. Ultimately student pressure helped push Columbia University to divest it's holdings from companies doing business in South Africa. Columbia's movement was highly publicized and inspired other university and high school students, as well as celebrities, to join the anti-apartheid movement in the U.S. Later she was a college professor at various universities in the U.S. and also worked for the UN Development Fund for Women and the African-American Institute. Dr. Baloyi is a business development specialist and strategist. She was the first female chair of the Black Business Council and Baloyi chaired the National Skills Authority and SA Women's Investment Holdings. Makhosi Busisiwe Khoza is a South African politician and former Member of Parliament for the ruling ANC who served as chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration. Khoza served in the Portfolio Committee on Economic Development. She became known for openly asking the president Jacob Zuma to step down She holds a PhD in Public Administration and a master's degree in Social Science (Policy and Developmental Studies) from the University of Witwatersrand. She is also a fellow at the Aspen Global Leadership Institute.

Lee Berger, in full Lee Rogers Berger, (born December 22, 1965, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, U.S.), American-born South African paleoanthropologist known for the discovery of the fossil skeletons of Australopithecus sediba, a primitive hominin species that some paleontologists believe is the most plausible link between the australopithecenes (genus Australopithecus) and humans (genus Homo). Berger was raised in Sylvania and Savannah, Georgia. After he received a B.A. in anthropology from Georgia Southern University in 1989, he studied under noted South African paleoanthropoligist Phillip V. Tobias at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Berger received a Ph.D. in paleoanthropology from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1994 and became a postdoctoral research fellow in the university’s department of anatomy and human biology in 1995. Between 1996 and 1997, Berger served as the director of the university’s paleoanthropology research group in the School of Anatomical Sciences.

He is a journalist with South African Broadcasting Corporation and also a part-time lecturer at the North West University (Mafikeng Campus) in the faculty of Communications (Broadcast Journalism). He has attended United States International Visitor Leadership Programme (Edward R. Murrow Programme for Journalist). He graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at North West University and also trained as a journalist by Commonwealth Broadcasting Association. He has reported extensively in African Nations Cup, the FIFA world Cup as well as The Olympics including the 2012 edition held in London.

Cecil Jarurakouje Nguvauva was born and raised in Namibia. As any other Namibian youth, he was exposed to the harsh political conditions of the time in Namibia. He started his career in media as a producer at a radio station. He was responsible for youth and entertainment programmes. He studied Public Administration in Namibia majoring in Communication, Public Relations and Economics. He also studied Business Management and a post graduate diploma in Journalism. Cecil J. Nguvauva has performed various roles for the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, NBC, since the start of his career. He also worked as a freelance producer for Deutsche Welle's Transtel division, responsible for the production of English Programmes. Cecil J. Nguvauva is the Secretary General of SABA and is currently responsible for implementing the regional SADC TV Channel for broadcasting in all 16 SADC Member States.

Dr Motshekga is the former Chief Whip of the majority party. He has served as a representative of the ANC in the Judicial Services Commission and Chairperson of the Joint Committee on the Financial Management of Parliament. He was born 2 April 1949 in Limpopo. After completing his secondary education he went on to further his studies and obtained a B.Luris degree at Unisa in 1975, LLB in 1978 (UNISA), LLM from Harvard Law School and a Doctor of Laws from Unisa. Dr Motshekga practiced as an attorney of the Supreme Court of South Africa in Pretoria and was admitted as an Advocate in the same court in 1984. He also worked in academia and taught Law at Albert-Ludwigs University in Germany and the University of South Africa
