After months of built up excitement, rock icons The Used have released their eighth studio album Heartwork today - https://theused.ffm.to/heartwork. Available to purchase and stream via Big Noise, this album arrives with the unbound spirit of the pair of platinum albums that first introduced The Used to the world, mixed with the dramatic air of their gold-certified third. The emotion, sincerity, and vulnerability found on The Used (2002) and In Love and Death (2004) is more urgent and insistent than ever on Heartwork, a diverse 16-song offering filled of self-examination, hyper-literate exploration, political pyromania, and keenly self-aware yet unrestrained whimsy.

Her iridescent new single Can’t Keep Waiting is transcendental, meditative; at times it feels almost ambient, with heavy, industrial percussion and repetitive synth patterns. But one thing that pulls the track into a truly close, emotive space is PARKER’s soft, intimate yet commanding voice. Evocative of Massive Attack and the lyrical and vocal prowess of Lana Del Rey, Can’t Keep Waiting is epic and overflows with the power of primal human emotion

In this episode Hear 2 Zen hangs with Harrison and Zach from Tempt
So, who are Tempt? They are vocalist Zach Allen, guitarist Harrison Marcello, bassist Chris Gooden and drummer Nicholas Burrows.
Aside from Burrows, who comes from Windsor, Ontario, they all hail from New York. But in a way, their geographical location is irrelevant. Because what they have is a sound that appeals to a global community.

In the few years since their formation, Tempt have created a style, verve, vibe and quality that is of their own making. Here is what we have all craved and desired for so long. Namely, a band for the modern era who do not pander to trends. Nor are they dependent on their influences. No, here are four talents who meld and merge into something that is far more than the sum of those considerable parts.

Tempt have just released a cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You", but they did the fast original version, which is more akin to their sound
Add to originals like the amazing "Living Dangerous" ft. Dorothy, its east to see why these 4 young men and forging a path all their own.

In this episode we have all 3 members of Aussie rockers Sisters Doll. On the eve of them leaving for The Kiss Kruise, Austin, Bryce and Brennan sat down talk their new single "Prisoner" (which hit #1 on the iTunes charts) the upcoming album, and also The Kiss Kruise, Creatures Fest and the upcoming Glamfest.

Prisoner will get your heart pumping in the first second, from the emotions of the lyrics, to the catchy melodic chorus and the hard hitting beat, this song will leave you wanting more and excite listeners of what’s to come in the near future from Sisters Doll.

Written by lead vocalist Brennan Mileto while isolated in Western Australia, Prisoner was inspired by the struggles of someone very close to him in his life. Brennan comments; “Prisoner is about taking someone away from a toxic relationship and showing them the good side of life. In a world full of heartache and pain it can lead you to feeling secluded and trapped much like a Prisoner. Life can never be that easy and when you feel like there is no way out, there is always an escape to a better life."

Multi-platinum Grammy-nominated hard rock band Godsmack's eighth studio album Lighting Up The Sky, will be out February 24, 2023 via BMG. The album follows the band’s globally acclaimed & gold-certified 2018 release, When Legends Rise, which achieved four No.1 singles back-to-back.

Co-produced by vocalist/guitarist Sully Erna and Andrew “Mudrock” Murdock (Avenged Sevenfold, Alice Cooper), Lighting Up the Sky is a testament to powerful storytelling. “I like when a record takes you on a journey from front to back. I realized there’s a whole story here about one man’s journey, the ups, and downs,” says Erna. “I believe it’s a story everyone will connect to, on a human level, because we’ve all gone through things in life.” The album explores boy-meets-girl, obstacles in relationships, the polarized political climate and the state of the world, betrayal, connection, rebounds, and more. It also gets into the idea of legacy, what we leave behind; fitting for what Erna has noted as their final studio album.

We caught up with Sully to learn more about the stories behind the songs on the album and more. Don't forget to get your copy of Lighting Up The Sky

Today we are hanging with Sebastian Danzig from Alt Rock trio Palaye Royale

The bands new album Fever Dream is out October 28th via Sumerian Records and was made in collaboration with producer Chris Greatti, who has worked with the likes of Yungblud and Willow, the 13-track set came to life over the course of a year, with the band working in deliberate seclusion and taking abundant time to sculpt each lavishly orchestrated track. The resulting set is their boldest and most visionary body of work to date.

Palaye Royale is comprised of Las Vegas-bred brothers Remington Leith (vocals), Sebastian Danzig (guitar) and Emerson Barrett (drums). The release of “Broken” comes on the heels of their expansive North American tour in support of Yungblud, followed by a completely sold out headline tour across the UK and Europe, which saw the band bring their rock-n-roll circus to some of their biggest headline shows to date,
including the Roundhouse in London and an arena in the Czech Republic.

Equal parts brit-pop, glam rock and art-punk, Palaye Royale has earned a legion of obsessive, cult-like fans with their fast-paced dirty rock n’ roll and unparalleled swagger, amassing over half a billion streams throughout their career. The trio brought the juxtaposition of the glitz and grime of their teenage years spent in Las Vegas before relocating to Los Angeles. They worked their way up through the ruthless L.A. rock scene while briefly living out of their car, thanks to their reckless live performances, lyrical vulnerability, and knack for non-normative self-expression.

The band are readying Fever Dream, their fourth full-length studio album and follow-up to 2020’s The Bastards

Thanks to Sebastian for his time, and our friends from Sumerian Records and Maric Media for their ongoing support

Hanging With Hear 2 Zen in this episode is Eskimo Joe frontman Kav Temperley who joins us to celebrate the release of his latest solo album Machines Of Love And Grace. This is his second solo effort, following on from 2018’s All Your Devotion, it’s a record that has been a long time coming, and captures Temperley at a time when he’s eager to emerge from the morass of these last two years, and once again share music and tell stories in a manner only he can.

Throughout the record, there are some all-too familiar stories, with tracks that touch upon isolation, addiction, violence, and nostalgia. Together, they combine to provide a unifying soundtrack, the type that could only emerge from the sort of experience that Temperley and the rest of the world has experienced in recent times. “The album documents the incredibly strange and unique experience of the past three years of the pandemic,” he notes. “These are not meant to be stories of judgement, but rather a comment on the collective experience we all went through together as a society.”

Having wrapped up a regional tour that saw him preview new songs alongside solo material and Eskimo Joe classics, Temperley is excited to release his album, however, when he’s not too busy rocking out with legendary bandmates, Temperley will be eager to once again get back on the dusty trail and share his new compositions with fans old and new. “I’m looking forward to hitting the cities and the suburbs early next year
after the album has come out and everyone has got a chance to get to know the songs,” he says eagerly.

Thanks to Kav and the team at On The Map PR

Three-time Grammy-nominated hard rock quartet NOTHING MORE who are currently on tour alongside IN THIS MOMENT, are set to release their upcoming album SPIRITS on October 14 2022, through Better Noise Music.

The bands latest single “YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT LOVE MEANS,” is an impassioned song that examines what happens when one tries to make a one-sided relationship work with all-too-real lyrics— “I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, there’s no rest, there’s no peace”—which leads into frontman JONNY HAWKINS’ fervently belting out its chorus, “You don’t know what love means, and it's killing me.”

“YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT LOVE MEANS” follows previously released album tracks “SPIRITS” and “TURN IT UP LIKE.” The lead-off track “TIRED OF WINNING” is currently #6 on Billboard’s Active Rock chart, and the extended version, “TIRED OF WINNING / SHIPS IN THE NIGHT, is also included on THE RETALIATIORS ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK for Better Noise Film’s horror-thriller THE RETALIATORS.

The band has further embellished the SPIRITS concept with their self-designed meta-personality test, “SPIRITS TEST,” and their first-ever graphic novel “SPIRITS VOL.1” (Z2 Comics), which introduces the “SPIRIT TYPES,” which stem from the results of taking the “SPIRITS TEST” as the four main characters in the graphic novel. Find out your SPIRIT TYPE by taking the SPIRITS TEST at https://spiritstest.com/.
Pre-order “SPIRITS VOL. 1” (due in late 2023) to find out more about your SPIRIT TYPE and the album’s story here:
z2comics.com/nothingmore

SPIRITS combines NOTHING MORE’s unapologetically massive anthems, catchy hooks, and progressive music with introspective, philosophical lyrics and thought-provoking emotionalism. Its eleven tracks were co-written by all band members--Hawkins [vocals], Mark Vollelunga [guitar], Daniel Oliver [bass], and Ben Anderson [drums]--and their long-time manager and co-producer Will Hoffman. The album documents the tumultuous time the world experienced over the past two years capturing the desperation and isolation of lockdown, the spiral of substance abuse, the pain of broken relationships, and survival in self-reliance while summarizing the overall story and mission of NOTHING MORE: Reflect, Provoke, Inspire.

We caught up with the bands guitar player Mark Vollelunga as the band were getting ready for a show in San Diego.

Fontierer, was originally a two-person bedroom project created by Scottish guitarist and primary songwriter Pedram Valiani and American vocalist Chad Kapper,  the band has since grown to become a fully-fledged touring machine with bassist Calum Craig, guitarist Dan Stevenson, and drummer Luke Coursey fleshing out the current lineup.

Additionally, the band has made their mark alongside heavyweights in their genre such as Converge and The Dillinger Escape Plan with critical acclaim from Bandcamp Daily's article A History Of Mathcore, citing Frontierer as a, "venomous brand of future-punk well worth exploring.”

The Scottish Extreme Metal outfit, will bring their unrelenting, uncompromising brand of sonic punishment to Australian shores for the very first time, next month!

What do you get when you mix chaos, twists, turns, aggression, melody and some slight tastes of uniformity, you get GRAMMY Award-winning Iowan icons SLIPKNOT, who have released their widely anticipated new album, THE END, SO FAR, their final on Roadrunner Records.

Prior to release the band teased the tracks “The Chapeltown Rag”, “The Dying Song” (Time To Sing), and “Yen” which only gave a snippet to the complexity and depth on the album, The album was produced by the band and Joe Barresi and marks some of the darkest vibes of any Slipknot album to date.

HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD will release its eighth studio album, "Hotel Kalifornia", on August 12 via Dove & Grenade Media/BMG. The album is "a juxtaposition between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots', highlighting the ongoing homelessness and cost of living crisis that is affecting the band's home state of California." The record features recent singles "Wild In These Streets" and "CHAOS", as well as new release "City Of The Dead".

To this day, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD hinges on the bond of five individuals who relay such raw experiences into relatable anthems. However, the platinum-certified quintet — Johnny 3 Tears, J-Dog, Funny Man, Charlie Scene and Danny — tell their story like never before on "Hotel Kalifornia".

"We were in a world of shit," states Johnny 3 Tears. "The opportunities for failure were far more prevalent than the opportunities for success. We were hanging out with gangbangers and drug dealers. The chances of overcoming were very slim. We made something special together because of the heartbreak and heartache that came from all our experiences."

Throughout 2021, the boys recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles with producers Erik Ron (PANIC! AT THE DISCO, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE),Andrew Migliore (SUECO, PAPA ROACH) and Drew Fulk (Lil Wayne, Lil Peep). Working face to face, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD rekindled the unbridled intensity of their formative material, yet with refinement only possible through years of grinding on the road.

"When you listen to 'Hotel Kalifornia', I hope you see how far we've come," Johnny 3 Tears leaves off. "J-Dog and Charlie Scene are completely different songwriters than they were 15 years ago. I'm so impressed by everyone in the band. The only thing we give a fuck about is the audience and trying to get better on each record."

"After all of these years, people on the outside really have a hard time believing we're still best friends," J-Dog adds. "We've stayed this close even with all of the shit we've been through. Usually bands break up friendships, but we're best friends — and we always will be."

"'Hotel Kalifornia' brings me back to a time when all that mattered was music," adds J-Dog. "The only thing I gave a shit about was going to shows. That was it."

”What is DAMPF ?” you may ask. ”Who, and what, is behind these huge riffs, brutal metal and catchy choruses?”

DAMPF is a supergroup of heavy metal royalties, leaded by almighty A-tron who you may know from his career as Martin ”E-Type” Erikson.

Years ago Martin had an idea to combine power of dark metal and pop melodies, but it wasn’t until recently, when he was tasked by Eye to write songs for 3 albums in this spirit. that he realised that the time for this dream has arrived.

Martin gathered his most talented musician friends and they have now completed their first single to make their message audible: the future is not history-less and the dead are not gone.

We caught up with Martin to discuss the new album, a potential tour and also got a scoop on Album Number 2

Void Of Vision Are Back!

The second chapter in the CHRONICLES saga, HEAVEN draws its namesake from the band’s newfound sense of direction and purpose, an understanding through which they have found heaven on earth. Each of the EPs larger-than-life, cinematic and grandiose elements speak to Void Of Vision’s increased certainty of self as people and creatives. In particular, frontman Jack Bergin has undergone a startling personal transformation over recent years: musically, lyrically and visually, the HEAVEN EP is the ultimate representation of this profound new revelation – this blissful, heaven-like way of moving through life – and it deserved the title to match.

Thoughtful troubadour Tim Wheatley has today shared his new EP Shiny Tacoma. Shiny Tacoma is illusive, in its way – driven by acoustic guitar and buoyed by electric piano and Tim’s assured lead vocal, it feels evocative of Nick Cave, or the Irish folk of The Pogues. Recorded, mixed and engineered with Steven Schram (Paul Kelly, San Cisco) at Rockinghorse Studios in Byron Bay, the song explores hindsight, but it’s more than that – it encourages the listener to look back on their mistakes with self-compassion, as Tim explains, “It’s a nod to everyone that’s been faced with a decision that results in them being pushed way outside their comfort zone, with the attitude of ‘yeah fuck it, I’m in–why not?!’ And then taking the time to reflect on it and be able to laugh rather than lament.”

Shiny Tacoma is just a taste of what Tim and his late father Glenn were working on together, Glenn ever so proud of the way his son had forged a music career of his own. Tim’s flair for classic songwriting is evident on every song on the EP – old school rock, country and folk are clear influences here, and Tim’s knack for telling a great story shines throughout. He spins narratives across playful, upbeat, rambling instrumentations, perfect for a summer barbeque, or simply to transport the listener to more carefree times.

Also released today is an audiobook of Glenn's bestselling book, Paper Paradise—a memoir of the man behind the music who broke into America with Little River Band, reinvented John Farnham with Whispering Jack, and brought FM radio to Australia.

Among Glenn’s final projects was the audiobook he recorded late in 2021 with the release marking a rare occurrence in publishing where an author passes before their book is released, that Glenn narrated his own life story for the audiobook mere months before his death is even more unique. “I have always loved his speaking voice and it doesn’t disappoint in this,” says Glenn’s wife Gaynor. “He was never happier than when he had ten balls in the air, with the hope of catching just one.”

Complete with a foreword from Tim, the audiobook also features Tim’s cover of Because I Love You (lifted from his forthcoming EP), originally made famous by Glenn and The Master’s Apprentices fifty years ago, a moving tribute from a son to his father.

We caught up with Tim to chat about the new EP, The audio book, his late father and so much more.

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS released their upcoming studio album, Pirates, on May 13, 2022 via Napalm Records!

The band says
"Being a Pirate to us is being fully aware and having our lives in our own hands, living and thinking freely, embracing life as an adventure with all its light and darkness. With the new album we are opening a new era for VISIONS OF ATLANTIS, fully embracing the identity we have been flirting with for several years now - making the music that truly resonates with our souls. We continue our journey taking us through darker waters, heavier storms, where all serves as background for a metaphor about personal growth and spirituality. If Wanderers was more about the bright side of our path, Pirates definitely takes us deeply into shadow work, where we are facing other kinds of monsters along the way!"

We caught up with vocalist Clémentine Delauney about the songwriting process, how she developed her vocals, a long with a bit of Symphonic Metal history, and for fans of the band, Clemi shares the news about a 2022 Australian Tour

Gothenburg’s finest export of darkness, EVERGREY, enters an astonishing new chapter in the band’s history with their thirteenth studio album and Napalm Records debut, A Heartless Portrait (The Orphean Testament), to be released on May 20, 2022. This overwhelming journey through progressive heaviness and searing emotionality is repeatedly accented by sonic melancholy and gripping lyrics – leaving the listener speechless and re-cementing the Swedish five-piece at the top of the scene without a shadow of a doubt!

Celebrating over 25 years of metal mastery, EVERGREY, led by founder, singer and guitarist Tom S. Englund, are known for wandering the realms of progressive and heavy melodic metal and painting sonic renderings with their twelve studio records released as of today. Now, the follow-up to the unit’s highly successful 2021 full-length, Escape of the Phoenix (which landed at numerous chart positions worldwide), reveals a 10 track mélange of which every note, every riff and every word seeps pure poetry – creating a ceaseless intensity that mesmerizes from the very first second.

We check in with Tom, who is now becoming a bit of a regular with us and as always it is a super fun, informative chat

Motor Sister was originally formed as a Mother Superior covers band made up of diehard fans - and aided by sharing the same frontman - playing the songs for the love of doing so. The band made their debut at Scott Ian’s (Anthrax) private 50th birthday party. Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Jim Wilson (Mother Superior), guitarist Scott Ian (Anthrax), bassist Joey Vera (Armored Saint), drummer John Tempesta (White Zombie, The Cult) and vocalist Pearl Aday (Pearl) , the band caught the attention of Metal Blade, and the label offered to put out a record. The result was 2015's "Ride", a collection of live-in-the-studio takes cherry-picked from Mother Superior’s back catalogue.

Ride was produced by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther), who also manned the helm for this record, and this time he and the banheaded into LA’s Studio 606, and the result is the new album "Get Off". Out May 6th 2022, Get Off was recorded live in the studio, with all five members in the same room, vocals and leads redone after the basic tracks were laid down, but tracking was interrupted mid-process by Covid-19. Now, the band are looking forward and excited to play these originals live alongside the covers they are known for, and with shows getting booked for 2022 it’s time for fans to lose their shit and get off to one of the greatest rock and roll bands operating today. We caught up with Pearl Aday to chat about the album and the songs.

Today we are hanging with guitar legend Joe Satriani, to celebrate his new album The Elephants Of Mars, which is is also out today.

The Elephants Of Mars is his 19th studio album and also the debut of his new label partnership with earMUSIC. Satriani had an admirably productive workingman’s holiday
with pandemic forced time away from the road that ultimately saw him and his touring band all recording remotely in separate areas of the world. They have delivered an album length journey, and a journey that doesn't seem to dull. The album crackles with an exciting new energy that briskly travels through stylistic roads that can be viewed through new eyes. Satriani also challenged himself to create a “new standard” for instrumental guitar albums to be measured against, one which would work from “a new platform of his own design,”
as he terms it. “I want to show people that an instrumental guitar album can contain far more creative and entertaining elements than I think people are using right now.”

We chat with Joe about the techniques used recording the album, the songwriting process and the plans to bring the album to the live stage. Thanks to Joe, Maric Media and earMusic.

One of the new songs on SERIOUS BLACK's upcoming studio album ‘Vengeance Is Mine’ is called ‘Album Of Our Life’ and hits the nail on the head in several respects. On the one hand, the international power metal band surrounding bassist and founder Mario Lochert has succeeded in creating what is probably the most powerful and imaginative work of its career so far, with loads of great guitar riffs, grooving rhythms and anthemic melodies. On the other hand, the album’s lyrics venture into territories previously uncharted by the band. Lochert: “This time, I have allowed more insights into my emotions and private life than ever before, i.e. into how I think, how I feel, how I am, and how difficult it can be to keep a band going when you yourself aren’t well. The lyrics on ‘Vengeance Is Mine’ reflect the past four or five years. This, of course, has had an impact on the songwriting, which has become even more intense and emotional.”

SERIOUS BLACK’s mastermind is referring to an album that is scheduled for release on 25 February 2022, and we caught up with Dominik Sebastian to learn about the new album and what's happening with Serious Black

Instead of just releasing our new single we wanted to give you all something a little extra so we have included two brand new songs on this single EP, one of which we hold near and dear to our hearts and another that we collaborated with our good friend Maria Brink of In This Moment on. In todays episode we chat with singer/songwriter Matt Goss. His new single ‘Somewhere To Fall’ is the first taste of new music from the pop icon and acts  as the curtain-raiser to his forthcoming studio album ‘The Beautiful Unknown’,  which is slated for release towards the end of the year. ‘Somewhere To Fall’ bears all the markings of a true Matt Goss classic with the  star’s unmistakable vocal adding raw energy as it soars throughout, creating  euphoric pop perfection. The track’s powerful, emotive lyrical impact is woven  against modern, contemporary production that feels instantly anthemic and  uplifting. This is a song that existing and new fans alike are going to rejoice in.  ‘Somewhere To Fall’ marks a return to a genre that made Goss a household  name and is a power pop anthem that feels like a hit single in waiting. Matt fills us in on the single, the album and a possible Australian tour.

In 1990 five blokes from Newcastle called The Screaming Jets took the Aussie music scene by the scruff of the neck and gave a red hot shake.

Before they had even signed their first record deal with rooArt Records, the Screaming Jets had already clocked up more than 200 live shows, won the ‘Triple J Battle Of The Bands’ competition and established themselves as an onstage, no holds barred, powerhouse of Aussie rock n roll.

Flash forward to 2021 and as a 30th year anniversary celebration, and a tip of the hat to where it all began, the current line-up has rerecorded the ‘All For One’ album with a fresh new take. Overseen by original producer, Steve James, the album has been repackaged with new artwork with a clear reference to the original.

We caught up with lead singer and founding member Dave Gleeson to chat about the new album, and the band past, present and future.

Welcome to the latest episode of The Zen Sessions. Today we bring you interviews with Andy Kent of You Am I, and then Adam Thompson of Chocolate Starfish. Both bands have albums out this Friday May 14th

You Am I have a new album “The Lives Of Others”. The Lives of Others is a sonic as well as emotional ride, from the psych outro of DRB Hudson to the unmissable hooks and walking-in-Paris lope of The Third Level and the rush of Rosedale Redux, where Hopkinson and Kent set the scene for electric guitars that are as beautiful and brutal as anything from ’93. The album closes with the tension and release of the title tune, the kind of song you can imagine closing a triumphant You Am I show on their upcoming tour.

It was only a couple of years ago that Chocolate Starfish released their first full-length album in 20-years. Since they reformed back in 2012, they haven’t stopped creating new material, and audiences at their live shows have been privy to some of the tracks already that will feature on Beautiful Addiction. “Since our resumption as a professional band, I was adamant new music had to play a huge part in the sustainability of the band,” says Adam. “New music requires passion, commitment and, most importantly, it requires inspiration. To meld all those things into a product to be proud of also requires the band to understand it, and emotionally invest in it. Creating new music is much more than writing the songs. It is about uniqueness and brutal honesty, with self, and others. This is like introducing your newborn child to the world, you know you’ve created something special. This is Beautiful Addiction

Thank you to Andy and Adam for their time and make sure you check out the new albums from both bands this Friday

Welcome to Episode 13 of The Zen Sessions.

Today we go a little bit country with two interviews. First is Casey Barnes and up after that is Andrew Farriss.

Golden Guitar winner, and one of Australia’s best country rockers, Casey Barnes has on Friday released his first foray into pop with a striking new single “Come Turn Me On”, following the success of his ARIA #1 Australian Country Album, Town Of A Million Dreams that also earned him an ARIA nomination for Country Music Album of the Year. With immediate hooks
of electric guitar and violin, this country charger’s beat drops as it reminds us that there’s nothing better than coming home to the one you love. Barnes will be taking his new track on the road with a bunch of dates announced around Australia including a haul of some of Australia’s most respected country festivals (Way Out West Fest, Gippsland Country Music Fest, Gympie Music Muster etc) and gigs in QLD, SA, VIC and TAS!

For Andrew Farriss, it has never mattered what style of music he is writing. What is important is how the song makes you feel, the story it is telling and how the track lingers with you long after the music has finished playing. It was this ethos that the
formidable songwriter took with him when it came to penning the tracks for what has become his debut solo album, a collection of songs that bring to life stories of outlaws, freedom, cowboys and love, and paint vivid imagery of gun slinging bandits, Australian history and international cultural spirituality. Andrew Farriss releases his debut self-titled solo album internationally on today, Friday 19th March 2021 through BMG / BBR.

Germany’s Orden Ogan, one of the most successful power metal bands of the last decade, released their brand new album, Final Days, on March 12 via AFM Records.

Since the band’s last release, the superb "Gunmen“, Orden Ogan have been at the forefront of power metal. The album, once again produced by band leader Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann, is a real smasher and shows that the band is among the best songwriters in heavy metal. "Final Days“ combines finesse with huge riffs, clever arrangements with great melodies and even after the umpteenth spin you still discover something new. All of this is wrapped in a larger-than-life production so what more can one ask for?

We caught up with frontman Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann to discuss the new album, its guests performers and actually, the end of the world

At the age of 5 she picked up her Grandfather's Guitar (Highly acclaimed Country Singer- Songwriter (late) Tony Jewell) known for his close work with one of the biggest Country Music Artists in Australia Slim Dusty. The creativity was in her blood & passed down to create her own story through music. Crafting her sound & discovering her Versatility while moving from Genre to Genre. This would also open doors to working with many different Producers & Artists.

Karly has been writing & performing prolifically since forming her live band, building a Rock & Roll family. The solid foundation of this hard hitting Rock driven Band is built on the love of music, passion for their art heart & soul.

Karly's latest single "Dancing With The Devil" has just been released and is getting a lot of attention both around the world. It is also being featured on the latest compilation from Australia's own Rue Morgue Records as well as a stand alone 7" Vinyl single.

Odette today releases her second studio album Herald and announces a string of national dates in support of the release. A triumphant follow up to her highly acclaimed debut record, 2018’s To A Stranger, the songs on Heraldleave no subjective stone unturned.

Love, heartbreak, grief, anger, self-analysis, accountability—you name it, it’s on here. “This album is sort of a nuanced discussion of the positives and the negatives of mental illness and also just being a human being. It talks about the realities of hurting others, the consequences of that, and even more so, it holds me accountable—it holds me to my word”, she says.

Hayley had the opportunity to chat with Odette about her new album, her influences and so much more. Check it out

Today we are joined by Blake Cateris of Sydney punk rock four-piece Molly & The Krells. The band recently released new single "Expectations"., which s is the follow up to fan favourite, "What Went Wrong".

Similarly to "What Went Wrong", the new track was recorded at Electric Sun Studios (Northlane, Between You & Me, Tonight Alive), engineered/produced by Stevie Knight and mixed & mastered by Dave Petrovic. "Expectations" is a song of growth and overcoming adversities that are found  within us all.

Vocalist and lyricist Blake Cateris highlights that the song is about "the complexes we develop by comparing ourselves to others and the deflating clout that, like clockwork, hits at 3am making us question all the choices we’ve made in life up to this point. And how perhaps we haven’t lived up to the expectations of the people that mean the most to us."

We hope you enjoy our chat with Blake and make sure you head on over to Molly & The Krells social media and check out another great Aussie Band, and while your at it make sure you are following Hear2Zen on all your social and podcast platforms, but for now, Episode 4 of The Zen Sessions

Welcome to Episode 3 of The Zen Sessions, we are glad to have you with us once again. Todays episode actually started way back in March 2020. While we were all stuck at home in the first wave of lock downs I reached out to my good friend Todd Kerns to have a chat.

Todd is a talented Multi Instrumentalist and Producer playing with the likes of Slash ft Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Toque, Age Of Electric and more. He is also an accomplished solo artist in his own right, and while I am none of those things, Todd and I share one thing in common, our love for the band Kiss.

We have shared many chats usually accompanied by coffee about our favourite band, and this time we go a little deep and talk about our favourite obscure songs and more. This chat got lost to the technology overlords for a long time, and only recently was recovered, and i am really happy to share it with you all, so, here is Drew and Dammit Chat Kiss. Volume 1
