The Engagement Coach podcast provides resources, stories, and tools for couples interested in self growth and relationship growth. This podcast walks through ways in which couples can have an intentional engagement season and marriage.
Mallory and Stranz, the couple I interviewed for this episode are open and honest about their own relationship growth process. They talk both individually and as a couple of how they have grown in how they communicate and move through conflict. They have a great Instagram feed that I love following called @makemarriagework. I was originally drawn to their story due to how open they are about going to therapy themselves. Seeking therapeutic support early on and often throughout the relationship is an ongoing theme for couples I see having a healthy relationship. They discuss how their dating relationship and engagement season were a short period of time and in many ways, they realized in their first year of marriage how little they actually knew about each other.
If you enjoy them here, which I am sure you will, go take a listen to their podcast at Make Marriage Work that recently launched.
Cheers to love & growth,
I love talking to people in every stage of their relationship. In this episode I had the privilege of talking with Taylor Anderson who is in her first few years of her own marriage and at the same time pursuing her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I first discovered Taylor through her Instagram feed, @thetherapistnotes where her content both beautiful and full of applicable insight. In this episode we discuss living away from family and friends, preventative counseling, and what it means to have differentiation in your relationship. In addition, to pursuing her Masters, Taylor is Virtual Assistant for Therapist and discusses how studying and networking has impacted her own self growth and relationship growth. I love that even though we are in different stages of our career and marriages that we were able to relate to each others journey in so many ways. Hope you enjoy!
Cheers to Love and Growth,
Jonna
Welcome back to this week's episode of The Engagement Coach. In this episode my partner in life, Eli, and I continue to have a conversation about our relationship and relationships in general. We focus in on talking about topics, like parenting, before you get married or entering into a committed relationship. We talk about how relationships evolve and grow overtime and at the same time how important it is to talk about expectation managment as you consider entering a longterm committed relationship. Honestly, one of my favorite things in life is having these kind of conversations with Eli, so I am really thankful that he lets me record him once and awhile.
As always Cheers to love and growth,
Jonna
I thought since this is the fourth episode I would introduce you to my partner in life Eli. As we are facing the reality of COVID-19 I know we are all experiencing multiple stressors. This is our way of pausing and talking about our own continual relationship growth. Honestly, even during our discussion I was learning more about myself, about him, and our relationship.
For this first part, of an ongoing series with Eli, we discuss primarily our journey with the Enneagram and how it has helped us both in individual and relationship growth. You may actual hear the crackling of our fireplace in the background, giving you the full experience! We hope you enjoy.
Cheers in Love and Growth,
Jonna
This week on The Engagement Coach Podcast I have some really great guests and fellow podcasters on. Sara and Bud host their very own relationship podcast called "Confident Couples". Let me tell you listening to their podcast has been so refreshing to me. They are so down to earth and at the same time very intentional on how they take care of their marriage. In addition my husband Eli joins in to add to the conversation.
We hope that as hear about how other couples figure out ways to understand their partner and grow in their relationship that it will inspire you in yours. Take a listen and enjoy!
Cheers to love and growth,
Jonna
Well this was a such a fun episode! This week on The Engagement Coach I talked with Brook (DePauw) Dumas from Stellaluna Events, a Wedding Planning Company located in Michigan. Brook had so much insight for couples to think about as they plan their wedding and how to make a conscious choice of how they want to feel on their actual wedding day. She shares about her own journey and experiences in a way that is personal and purposeful. Brook not only encourages couples to think about what makes their story unique but how to incorporate that into their wedding day. Her energy is contagious and I officially want to plan an event just so I can hire Brook to hangout with. I hope you have as much fun listening as we did recording this one.
Cheers to Love and Growth,
Jonna
In this inaugural episode of The Engagement Coach I talk with long time friend and fellow Therapist, Tiffany Leuthold, LMFT. We discuss the reason why we find premarital counseling or engagement coaching so helpful for couples after working with couples and families for over a decade. In addition we discuss how the use of certain assessments and inventories to offer couples insight in their own self development, as well as their relationship.
Tiffany offers significant wisdom in how she approaches counseling with couples during this season of their relationship. Her training in Narrative Therapy offers us different ways of how to speak up and show up for our relationships. We hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did. Cheers to love and growth.
