In part 2 of episode 1 we talk about how economic empowerment and a stronger political representation could change the way black people and dalits are treated in their societies.
In this episode, which is the first of two parts, Torch and Shiny Black discuss the Black Lives Movement, George Floyd and the various other victims of white supremacy. White supremacy is more like a religion, where its followers ensure unquestioned loyalty and protection to anyone who acts in the favor and promotion of White supremacy. George’s death has spiraled into a global movement of outrage that may change the course of how governments and law enforcement agencies approach the oppressed and marginalized communities across the world. We also discuss briefly about the situation of Dalits in India and the systemic oppression and violence that they are subjected to, which draw parallels to what the Black people in the USA endure.
