Russell T Davies' It's A Sin, starring Years & Years' Olly Alexander, has taken the UK by storm; and with HBO launching the series in the US shortly, it is set to become a global phenomenon, helping raise awareness of HIV/AIDS as well as the treatment of gay people in the 1980s and 90s, due to the 'gay cancer'.
John talks to Terrence Higgins Trust Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Richard Angell, about the great work the charity does supporting those with HIV, as well as the affect of the TV programme on modern society - everybody is talking about queer culture, Section 28's effect on LGBTQ+ education, and the fact that, today, HIV is no longer a death sentence.

Deputy leader of Knowsley Council talks to John about his early experiences of being LGBTQ+, being a large trade unionist, as well as his journey into politics and what he hopes to achieve as part of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
Young trans man, Ben Hodge, talks about his journey as a young transgender person, and how he used that journey to educate people through his ever growing comedy routine and presence.
Being a regular member of Liverpool youth group, Gay Youth R Out (GYRO), as well as The Action Youth (TAY), before also attending a local Scout Group, Ben has been able to experience many elements of support through his transition. :)
Liverpool legend, Pete Price, talks to John about the early days of his career, as well as being a gay man throughout that time.

Max is a designer who created a selection of print artworks based on conversations between his ex and himself, chronicling how, as an out and proud gay man, he was victim to feeling like someone else's secret, as his partner was not as forthcoming with family and friends.
Max has used sales of these prints to support the charity, LGBT Switchboard.
Darren Suarez is the House Mother of the House of Suarez, and executive producer and creative director of the annual House of Suarez Vogue Ball.
We learn about his journey as part of the Vogue community, understanding some of its routes in UK culture, as well as learning about the history of the annual House of Suarez Vogue Ball, which recently saw it's largest Manchester event to date.
Liverpool Queer Collective was set up in 2016 with the aim to enrich Liverpool's LGBTQ+ community, bringing it together through creative events and online channels, as well as by identifying safe spaces in the city.

We caught up with Exec Director of Museums and Participation at National Museums Liverpool, to talk the importance of cultural history within a city and the different communities within that city, as well as having allies in these positions to support the telling of these stories.
Daniel Smythe grew up in a small rural town, with no knowledge nor understanding of what it meant to be gay, with no role models.
He then upped and moved to London for University and embedded himself within the London gay scene, working in Heaven, and living the party lifestyle.
He has since settled down in Liverpool, with his partner Dean, and is an incredible success in life!
Felix Mufti Wright is a young transgender man who is heavily involved in performing arts and LGBTQ+ activism.
Whilst coming out as a lesbian at a young age, and then as trans, it was definitely a journey when Felix understood he was in fact, a gay trans man - something not often discussed within LGBTQ+ conversations, as it clearly demonstrates how sexuality and gender are very different parts of an individual!
Jay Farrell was bound to a wheelchair following his battle with cancer of the spine as a child, but he hasn't allowed that to stop him from living an adventurous life.
Currently studying a Master's degree, and is an alternative model, he wants to address the minority within a minority, that being a disabled person sometimes feels like within the LGBTQ+ community.
Chrissie Willis has worked within community and local radio for some years, and has been an incredible advocate and ally for the LGBTQ+ community - Knowsley Community College Radio, or KCC Live, was nominated for a National Diversity Award, due to it's LGBTQ+ related content!
Currently within BBC Radio Merseyside, Chrissie's role is to engage with the local community and see how the BBC can support local projects and initiatives.
