In this episode I am joined by Lucy Wheeler, full time lawyer and part time adventurer. Lucy is passionate about showing people that you can live a life of adventure without giving up the day job. She has run the London marathon, cycled 300km London to Paris in 24 hours, completed an expedition in the Arctic Circle and run an ultra marathon across the desert.
We talk about striking the balance between work and play, how easy it is to follow the path we think we should and not create our own. Lucy explains how she found herself in a position of having all that she dreamt off within her career, including a window seat in the city, but realising she wasn't actually happy. We collectively highlight what there is to be grateful for and how everything will work out in the end, and that if it's not alright it's not the end.

In this episode I chat to the founder of Run For Heroes, Olivia Strong.
At the start of lockdown Olivia came up with the idea of Run For Heroes while out on a run whereby people run 5k, nominate 5 people and donate £5 to NHS Charities Together. After only 2 months and with an original fundraising target of £5,000 Run For Heroes has now raised over £5 Million and seen hundred of thousands of people across the country run 5k.
Olivia tells us how Run For Heroes got started and how starting small with little expectation has been one of the biggest keys to success.
