TRIGGER WARNING! This episode is an emotional one for me and one of the hardest I had to record and edit. We had to once again gone through one of the worst experiences as pet owner. Freddy and I recently put down our 13 year old furry baby, Emjay. I was in the room with him kissing him until his very last breath. How do you know when it's time to say goodbye to something you love so much? I have struggled with that question each time I had to unfortunately say goodbye to one of my furry babies. It DOESN'T get easier once you go through it once. I have had to put 4 furry babies down and each time my heart gets ripped out of my chest. I know that I am not alone in this pain. People around you may never truly understand your sadness and grief because only you and your pet had that beautiful relationship. You take all the time you need to heal. This is part of my healing process, sharing and talking about it with you all. I hope this shows that it's okay to not be sure when to put your furry loved one down. There are things to look for and pay attention to help you make this difficult decision. I have included the videos I watched that helped me to know when it was time. Remember that that you are never alone in your confusion, sadness and pain.

There will never be no one ever like you. You are one of a kind. If you are naturally loud, be loud. If you are naturally quiet, be quiet. You don’t have to be like someone else to be liked or noticed. Learn to be unapologetically yourself and the right kind of people will notice and pay attention. Sometimes people might misinterpret someone being shy or quiet as a negative thing. We need to change that thinking. Everyone is wired differently and needs to recharge in different ways whether by being alone or with by being around a group of people. There is no wrong or right way. Discover yourself and learn to use your strengths and weaknesses to your advantage and don’t let outside influences force you to conform to “fit in”. Take time to learn about what you need to be the best version of yourself but remember that you are enough and you are exactly where you are meant to be.

With life being so unpredictable and with no guarantee, we have no extra time to waste. We need to make every moment and everyday count, no matter how we feel or what is going on around us. Our success is determined by our daily actions and habits, so its very important to be mindful and aware of how we spend our time and who we give our energy to. Are you giving your energy to the right kind of people? And when you spend time with loved ones, are you present and in the moment? We need to learn to disconnect from the world when we spend time with people we love. These are the moments we will look back to and remember forever. I'm so glad I disconnected from the world when my mom came to visit us. Moments with her are precious to me and I cherish each minute I spend with her. On this latest episode, I share some great moments with my mom, like making the yummy Salvadorean Charamuscas! And for introverts who are trying to be successful at social media, I have a few words of advice for you on this new episode as well. Trust me, I know on the daily how hard it is putting yourself out there while engaging with people you may have never met before. Introverts need to learn that they can be great at social media marketing too!

We are all being affected in some way by this pandemic so I was interested to learn how he was dealing with not being able to perform comedy. Entertainment is so easy for us to access. We fear boredom and reality so we distract ourselves with entertainment through news and social media. This does not help with anxiety or depression. It’s important to pause and disconnect and be alone in our thoughts. When is the last time you took that time for yourself?
