Forgiveness is the key that frees us from the prisons of bitterness and anger and the Gospel says that freedom is possible in Christ! We will unpack what scripture says forgiveness is and consider 3 practices / habits of the hearts that we can walk with Jesus in as we look to forgive others.

Over the next few weeks we are goign to practice doing what Jesus did. Today we begin with: feeding our hearts with scripture, why? Because out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). We will consider ways in which we can develop the practice of memorizing, meditating on, and praying scripture so that our hearts our fed and God's Word is what we speak to ourselves, to God, and to others.

The fifth discipleship emphasis, Crucial Conversations, is divided into two parts: discipleship conversations with believers and evangelism. Today, we focus on evangelism.

The fourth discipleship emphasis is Radical Generosity. Those who are radically generous are radically free of the common hold that time, talent, and treasures can have over our hearts. Jesus can free our hearts towards generosity so that we can embody the Gospel and generously give to see others served and the Name of God glorified.

The second discipleship emphasis is Secure Identity. Upon receiving Chirst as Lord, we recieve the gift of a new identity as children, ambassadors and slaves of Christ.

The Good News of Jesus is not simply our debts being paid, but that we are invited to a new life of mission. A life dedicated to inviting others to be raised from death to life by the work of Jesus.
