The 36th Annual Jook George Memorial Steel City Classic became one of the most unforgettable shows in event history. Mother Nature gave just enough grace for the track to almost pack in a full night of action: drivers from five states, qualifying, five heat races, a six-lap dash, two B-Mains, and four features, one of which was postponed for another day.
Christian Schneider from Pittsburgh, picked the perfect time to strike. When the field bunched up early in the main, Schneider pounced. He took the lead and never looked back, holding off every challenge for green-flag laps.
When the checkers waved, Schneider had claimed the biggest win of his career, and he did it in front of a hometown crowd on one of the biggest nights of the season.
Before the skies closed in, the story behind the night’s biggest win started long before the green. Thirty-nine Late Models entered the pits, all with eyes on the $6,010 payday and a spot in Steel City history.
Special thanks to Brandon Lochwich for all his hard work putting the race together.
Brandon Burgoon set the tone early with a 19.594 in qualifying to earn Fast Time.
Guests for today’s show includes announcer Brian Spade, Schneider, Joe Martin and Wonderling
High Limit runner up at Lernerville Sye Lynch, Sprint Car Driver Brandon Spithaler and Late Model Driver Brandon Burgoon.
Friday night at Lernerville Speedway the full line up of Fab4 Racing took center stage with the return of the Late Models after a one-week hiatus. A tricky and technical surface awaited drivers as they made their way to the speedway as a good deal of cushion developed throughout the night, putting an emphasis on adjustments with the cars and preferred racing lines.
AJ Flick visited Victory Lane for the first time in 2025 on Friday night in Sprint Car action with Garrett Krummert hitting pay dirt for the first time this season with his feature victory with the Block Modifieds. Michael Norris was the class of the field in the Late Model main event and Cody Koteles topped the 17 car Pro stock field for his second win in a row.
Pittsburgh John Mollick RUSH Sprints, Steven Shelpman won the Willie White Memorial, Brandon Burgoon won in RUSH Late Models, Nick Timberlake 4 Cylinders,
Michaels Mercer raceway was able to get in 3/4 of the program as the final feature of the night for the mini stocks was rained out. Rex King Jr. picked up his 11th Mercer modified win in the BRP modified tour race capturing $3000; Vivian Jones her second RaceSaver 305 sprint feature of the year; veteran Billy Adams ended a long dry spell by picking up his first win in the DIRT 602 crate sportsman feature since 2021; the mini stock feature was rained out and will be run first next week.

After some early morning rain, the skies cleared and turned into a beautiful day at Sharon Speedway for the rescheduled 16th annual "Lou Blaney Memorial" on Saturday night. The event got underway on August 17 until rain overspread the area after Sprint Car qualifying.
On that night, Ryan Blaney was on hand to remember his grandfather, raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association and celebrate his 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship.
While Ryan was unable to return on Saturday, the fans packed the grandstands for the largest crowd of the season outside of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car event. Sixty-nine race cars were on hand for the show.
There's no better way to go out in sports than doing it on top and on Saturday night Dave Blaney decided the time was right. The National Sprint Car Hall of Famer.
Won "Lou Blaney Memorial" for the third time. In the 16-year history, Blaney is the only Sprint Car driver to win the event more than once and Saturday night's sendoff in memory of his father was worth $12,000 for the 95-time World of Outlaws winner and 1995 champion, who began his career in 1981. Blaney also won the event in 2014 and became the first repeat winner in 2018.
"This is big," expressed the emotional 61-year-old Hartford, Ohio native. "This is a race Dale, and I try to win every year. To beat that guy Danny Dietrich in my last race...because I'm officially done right now- there's no better way to retire than to win this one."

Jean Lynch got started in racing back in 1957. Her husband, Ed, had a friend who was in the jalopy division at a track close to where she lived, called Hyde Park. Jean attended one of the races with Ed when he went to work the pits.
In those days, women and children were not allowed in the pits, so Jean sat in the stands with her young son. From that day, Jean and Ed became fans of the sport of racing. They began making the trip to Langhorne to see the big race.
After about a year, Jack Freeman, who was a part of the Langhorne Track crowd, approached Jean at home one day and expressed his interest in obtaining the track at Latrobe, and asked if she would be interested in helping with the operation.
She agreed to the proposal and went ahead and sold tickets to the spectators, then signed all the cars in, lined up all the cars, scored all the cars, then she paid off and went home, wrote the stories, did the points and composed the release for the next week. She became a "women of many hats".

You may wonder, “Why do we celebrate the 4th of July? What does it mean?” Well, this day is incredibly significant in American history, as it marks the day the United States officially became its own nation. The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4th, 1776, and thus, America was born. American citizens celebrate America’s birthday with festivals, parades, fireworks, barbecues, sparklers, and other festive activities.
We celebrate the founding of our Republic 246 years ago today. We also celebrate the passage of the Declaration of Independence. The Continental Congress voted for Independence from Great Britain July 2, 1776, and signed the declaration July 4, 1776.
It is important to remember that our freedom was won by citizens with guns. I hope your July 4th is great.
