Toni’s Notes:
Storytelling is the way we connect at the heart!
always dreamed and day-dreamed about a better world for all
women's self-empowerment coach for over three decades
My business didn't start off as a business, but rather a quest to find self-worth. I was abandoned by my mother at nine months of age and raised by a very kind grandmother. Though my grandmother loved me very much and took good care of me, every day of my childhood I wondered where my mother was and why she had no contact with me. This caused me great suffering and confusion. So throughout my teens and early 20s I sought out counseling and spirituality to provide some answers so that I could begin to feel worthy. That quest continued and led me to find an extraordinary life coach. I fell so in love with the process of life coaching that I became a master certified coach myself. Choosing women to be my clients worked beautifully. Through their stories and then helping them I continued to grow in my own self-worth and confidence. I came to understand the tremendous value in being of service to others. Serving others balanced with true self-care is a beautiful gift to offer the world.
collaboration is queen!
New World Women, which is taking the world by storm! New World Women is an online, on-demand academy for women taught by teachers we call Luminaries. We have designed NWW so that women are financially rewarded for practicing self-care, helping others, learning new things and staying inspired. At this point, there is no other model like it in the world.

Trigger warning - What Would You Do With A Second Chance At Life?
Matthew is a Youth Advocate Suicide Survivor and mental Fitness Facilitator. Up until the age of 12, Matt had lived a very typical life for a child in the city of Sydney. He had a great family, lots of friends, and a comforting neighborhood BUT then everything changed drastically.
Matthew began to question his self-worth, self-image, and whether he even brought value to the world. As the tentacles of depression embedded in his life, his worthlessness increased and he struggled with these emotions by himself, bottled them up inside, and kept them within. This led him on a path of destruction with drug use and at the age of 16 decided that enough was enough and he attempted suicide to end the pain and suffering he was feeling.
Thankfully for us, Matt was unsuccessful and woke up instead in the Spinal Cord Injury until in hospital unable to walk and confined to a wheelchair. We say thankfully because we now get to chat with this amazing young man.
Motts’s mission is to Inform, Inspire and influence millions of mindsets and for them to improve their quality of life. His goal is to facilitate a person towards transforming adversity into an advantage through the power of self-awareness, values, and authenticity.
WELCOME to the show Matt!
Questions for the Guest: these are a guide only and we will just have a conversation and go where it goes.

How did your family react?

Nicolette Minnie is the founder of femtech start-up Mel, a platform designed to reduce the invisible weight (mental load) of thinking about and planning for the entire family by structuring, reminding, and sharing the load. Originally from South Africa, Nicolette now lives in Brisbane Australia with her husband and their three kids. Following an international move from the United Kingdom back to their homeland of South Africa with a 10week old baby and a 2year old toddler, the mental load of everything that needed to be done and remembered erupted. She set out to find a solution, the solution is Mel.
Nicolette favorite quote is…. "Not all storms come to destroy, some come to clear a path" Why does it inspire her? Because in Nicolette’s life there have been some significant storms, life isn't fair, in fact, life can sometimes be downright unbearable and at that moment all you want is for the storm to pass, or to scream out, raging against the unfairness of the storm. But Nicolette has learned that if she allows the pain to be her teacher, to walk into the darkness instead of fearing or denying it; she will learn something, grow in character, break open and find something within that needed to come out. Not all storms come to destroy, some come to clear a path.
Questions for the Guest:
Let's talk about your journey to this point – living in London, pregnant, moving back to South Africa, Csection, bubs, the book of everything, postnatal tears, the move that nearly killed you,
The Nanny, the housekeeper, and the gardener. So, life in SA settle somewhat but you felt overwhelmed and filled with anxiety. Why was that?
What did you discover about the mums in daycare? Mental load, fears, frustration, anger, planning…
This is where we get to talk about something that ALL women, well most of us anyway, know all too well – Mental Load what is it and how Mel solves that problem?
Why is mental load not talked about?
Why is it different from physical load?
How is it in 2021 we are still having these conversations about workload in households? Let’s bring in a little bit of patriarchal society, inequality, and non-value of caring that predominately falls to women ( yes many men are fantabulous BUT)
Why is the mental load causing so much anxiety for women?
I want to talk about first world nations versus 3rd world nations in terms of women – How different is it for these women?
Why don’t men get it?

Guest, Chantal Gerady, Facebook Strategist, marketing success for smaller businesses
Over the past decade, Chantal has worked in the fitness industry beginning as a part-time personal trainer, working around three small children after emigrating from South Africa to the Gold Coast in 2008. Initially, Chantal worked for other people but like all true entrepreneurs, she saw how she could improve on the current model of delivering personal training, opening her own fitness business in 2010.
Chantal then branched out opening a health, wellness, and fitness center to support other professionals in my industry. Her biggest challenge was, she didn’t know what she didn’t know. Beginning a new business meant Chantal had to start again, over and over, finding new clients without a marketing budget. She was overwhelmed, confused, and worn out. Chantal didn’t know how to use social media effectively and couldn’t afford someone to help.
Facebook became my ‘GO TO’ platform. The biggest bonus of having to start over again was that Chantal learned how NOT to do things. After winning the Empowered Mums award in 2015 for her work helping other health, wellness, and fitness businesses, Chantal began to invest in learning how to better Coach Business owners on how to use Facebook. Chantal saw a lot of ‘experts’ spruiking how to do Facebook, but she knew, as a solo business, having the money to employ someone to manage my social media for her was the challenge, and many ‘experts’, had no clue on even the basics of how to set up or safely use the platform. Chantal got her Cert. IV In Small business and started niching on Facebook. She knew from my own experience, using Facebook to generate leads for free was/is possible by understanding how the platform and algorithm works. As a Facebook strategist over the last 4 years, Chantal has been able to show other business owners how to use Facebook to market and grow their businesses. Many people do not understand Facebook and Chantal empowered them and gave them the skills to use it safely, and effectively without it costing them a fortune. Chantal found customers for BOTH of her businesses on Facebook using her program, demonstrating how effective her program is.
Chantal’s target audience is other micro/small businesses like hers – solo operators or with 2 to 3 employees, without a big marketing budget. The key element of Chantal Gerardy – Facebook Strategist is customer service – a simplified approach to one-on-one training to empower small businesses to manage their own Facebook. She charges a weekly rate that is affordable. Her approach is hands-on and practical. Teaching people how to use Facebook is cost-effective and is filling a gap. By teaching clients the Facebook basics – setting effective profiles, using groups, how to engage and create great content – Chantal is preparing businesses for the next step. What is so powerful about doing business face-to-face with my demographic is they listen and learn concepts differently; they like to ask questions. It is more powerful to get across the training and strategies Chantal develops because she can connect with them.
Chantal has worked with businesses that have been in business for over five years but not making any money because they are trying to do too many things and not getting the basics right. While working face-to-face with people is not especially innovative, it is about listening to your target audience and delivering a powerful and useful service that meets their needs and helps them move to the next phase of business.
Chantal does not do perspective strategies; everyone is unique and she considers her clients are not techy nor are they marketing experts. Chantal works on their strengths and considers that their unique strategy is user-friendly and enjoyable for the business owner.
Questions for the Guest:
Chantal was one of the first people I engaged with, in the early early stages of my business and when Facebook was my primary platform and whilst it no longer is, Chantal was instrumental in setting the right foundations for my business, which was at the time, selling my book. Chantal how important is it to get the foundations right and what elements of FB do you consider as foundational?
Facebook has changed quite a bit over the last 3 years since we initially worked together, how do you keep pace with the changes?
Is it still possible for businesses to grow and market using Facebook?
We hear a lot about organic vs paid, in terms of growth, advertising, and promotion, what's the difference?
How do you determine what content works and what doesn't?
What are the advantages of a business doing their own Facebook promotion, content, and engagement vs paying someone to do it?
How do you grow your visibility on Facebook and why is this important?
How do you work with and help businesses with their Facebook profiles and pages?
You have a book called “My Facebook Formula. What’s the book about and where can people purchase the book?
You have a special offer for the audience today what is it?

Our extra special guest today is Patrick Hromas with our interview titled Patrick Hromas Artist: Film Still Portraits, Horses, Brasfort and Bowie
Patrick is a visual artist who was born in Sydney in 1973 and grew up in Hunters Hill. He has been making art ever since he can remember, drawing the Hunters Hill Post Office when I was 13, “built-in 1891 as designed by the government architect, Walter Liberty Vernon, in Queen Anne Style”. Patrick graduated from the Canberra School of Art, Australian National University, in 1996.
He enjoyed an enriching experience as a student exchange recipient with Ecole Nationalé Superieur des Beaux Artes for five months in 1995/6. I suffered from a mental health problem after being hospitalized in Nîmes in the South of France. Now Patrick has largely overcome that health issue, he draws in pastels or conté, paints in oil colors, and occasionally watercolors.
Patrick has shown his artworks in seven solo shows and 48 group exhibitions, as far west as Kingston in the ACT, as far north as Pymble in NSW, as far east as Bronte, and far south as Action in the Australian Capital Territory.
As a member of the Blue Mountains Community Arts Network, Patrick was invited to exhibit his painting: “Macquarie Road (Why should you be different from other men? I am told that there is hardly a husband in London who does not waste his life over some shameful passion.)” in the group exhibition: Infinities of Blue, in the Fountain Court at Parliament House of New South Wales. Most notably, one of Patrick's hand-printed, hand typeset artists' books is in the collection of the Australian National University Library, Acton, ACT.
Patrick adores drawing sitters’ portraits in pastel or conté generally from .jpegs, adding a background image from their favorite holiday happy snaps. Conté is a hard, waxy stick like a crayon and is virtually indelible once applied to fine art paper. Patrick only uses archival-quality materials throughout his practice. He is also a registered NSW eco-aware artist.
Patrick constructs, using Photoshop, mock-ups for the collages or oil paintings by scavenging imagery as a Postmodern surrealist, from a variety of sources. Patrick then goes about weaving the figures in the .jpeg image and further teasing out forms, colors, and compositions, painting the final work from his iMac screen. Only when the balance between these elements and an even an absence or obscurification of the image is reached, so to let the eye rest, as instinct or aesthetics demand, is the painting complete.
Tyler Ornstein loved the taste and smell of coffee since his first sip at 5 years old, however, his father thought otherwise, as it upset his stomach. One day Tyler asked if he could make a coffee that both of them could drink, and this was a pivotal moment in both of their lives.
His Father started thinking.
In 2006, at sixteen years old, Tyler’s father asked him a simple question, “What is the second-largest commodity item in the world?” He had no idea, but after a little research he found that the first was oil, and the second was coffee.
Tylers Coffees® was born out of necessity. Tyler's dad was told by his physician that he could no longer drink coffee due to its acidity. Realizing that drinking coffee is more of a lifestyle choice than just a beverage. His father (a biochemist) went on to design a proprietary computerized Z-Roasting system and figured out how to roast the bean perfectly without letting the Tannic and Lipid acids form. These acids often wreak havoc on those with GI problems from indigestion, bloating, and heartburn to tooth enamel decay.
He then presented Tyler with an idea that is now known as Tylers Coffees®. THE WORLD'S FIRST AND ONLY ACID-FREE COFFEE.
Tyler agreed to sell it with a natural entrepreneur spirit, setting off door-to-door on his bicycle. Tyler continued selling the coffee to friends, family, and neighbors, and from there Tyler’s Coffees® was born.
It has since evolved into a full warehouse, a team, 80% growth year over year with 2,000,000 cups sold, distribution in 1,000 independent grocery stores across the United States, and was even the preferred coffee of the 2008 Academy Awards. Also, he has launched into Amazon and Walmart online. As well as many other retail outlets. He is well versed in online company building, and marking development.
As the world's FIRST and ONLY Organic Acid-Free Coffee, Tylers Coffees® is able to provide a healthier option. While his company continues to expand and see more and more success, Tylers Coffees® is most importantly helping people around the world, giving them a healthier option each and every day.
"Entrepreneurialism is like jumping off the highest cliff and assembling an airplane on the way down" This inspires me because owning a business is crazy.

What inspires you?
Struggles you face/have faced as a business owner?

Toni’s notes – THE solution for the more than 100 million individuals who have sensitive stomachs or who suffer from acid-related modalities. Tannic and Lipid acids are the cause of the bitter bite, upset stomach, aftertaste, and tooth enamel damage. Aside from these pesky side effects, these acids can form and aid in the development, or flare-up of Interstitial Cystitis (IC), Overactive Bladder (OAB), Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Crohn’s Disease, or Colitis. Since our roasting and the decaffeinating process is completely all-natural, we are able to produce a product that is not only superior in quality but one that also yields the healthiest coffee for you. Additionally, our roasting process is computerized and carefully monitored, so we are able to ensure that each batch is consistent and that the results will be the same; EVERY TIME. This means that our customers are able to expect the highest quality from us - and consistency - whether they are buying their first bag or their 50th. Tyler has seen a massive amount of growth since 2006. This year alone he has been featured in Forbes magazine twice, is starting his own podcast launching in July, and is even working on a book that is being released soon.

Let me tell you about our guest today, Wendy Nowell-Usticke, whose interview is titled – More is less with Slow beauty
Wendy has a track record of over 30 years in the beauty industry. She co-founded make up brand Thin Lizzy, New Zealand’s number 1 Makeup brand in Pharmacy for 15 years.
After experiencing first-hand adverse reaction to environmental stress and aggressive actives in specialized skincare, not to mention the pile of landfill waste it created, Wendy founded Corbin Rd in 2019.
Liberate your skin with slow beauty It begins on Corbin Road A quiet road on the outskirts of Hawke’s Bay surrounded by rolling hills, busy birdlife and free-ranging animals, Corbin Road was an idyllic place to grow up. My sisters and I spent our days outside on the farm roaming in the sun and down by the creek. Back then, life was simple.
Fast forward 30 years or so and I was living the life many of us do; hectic work schedules, frantic days and social lives of moderate excess. I made it through, but my skin didn’t. I had joined the aging rat-race. My adult years were spent trying every skincare product that promised me the complexion of a cover model. And I don’t do things by halves. The result was irritated, inflamed and stressed skin that needed a break and the chance to breathe.
Corbin Rd. was born from the idea that we can do more with much less. I want us to approach beauty like the slow fashion movement; buy what you need, choose quality and create less waste. We’ve created a simplified skincare approach using clean beauty ingredients that are kind to your skin and kind to the planet. Our range is designed to achieve healthy, strong and radiant skin, no matter what your age.
Wendy Nowell-Usticke Let's start the show with her favorite quote - There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish. Michelle Obama
Good afternoon, Wendy and welcome to Radio Toni. Every Day, business, so glad to have you here with us today.
Let's start with you and your story; if it's ok, can you share a little of your life with our listeners.
What got you to this point in time and particularly the change from the iconic Thin Lizzy brand?
I love the story behind the name Corbin Road, can you tell us more?

Toni’s notes
The conscious CEO started in 2018 as an NLP Training company however this evolved from Coaching as and Coach and naturopath previously. Before that I was in the police force and had my own holistic health clinic for 10 years.
Why? I moved into training business owners in nlp because I saw a massive gap in the mindset and performance of business owners where they were focusing on purely the strategy of business or their craft and forgetting about how the mind effects the results we produce in business. Many of them were struggling to attain sustainable growth or lacked the confidence in putting themselves in the forefront of their industry.

Toni’s notes
I was born a channeler of spirit, connecting one to their heart and soul, aligning them to their magic! This is who I am, I cannot take it out of me, nor would I want to. It is so easy for me to read everyone’s energy with just a name or a picture, including animals.
Can you imagine having your first psychic experience at the age of 5 in a very Southern Baptist household?! And having to ignore your gifts for the first part of your life?! Not a whole lot of fun at all.
For many years I pushed my gifts away because I was taught they were bad. Now I am soooooo appreciative of my gifts and that I opened back up to them! I love my life, it is full of abundance and magic, and I love helping others to live the same way.
Playing with energy and being able to be in communication with the ‘other side’ is so much fun. Everything is energy, once you open up to it, so much can be changed, improved, and manifested!
For over 20 years I have been helping people, animals and even babies not yet born.
As I am only one person, it was impossible for me to do readings and healings on everyone, so I began teaching. I love it, helping people to read and see energy and heal others.
That’s how Magical University, and the Manifesting Magic Monthly Membership came into being. So I could help more people.
Magical University, is an online energy healing University. Helping people and the magic to expand their intuition, help them learn how to work with energy to heal and manifest so they can live their best life! And so they can help heal others and the world. The world needs more healers!
I love to help people grow and evolve by connecting them to spirit and clearing the way to their heart and soul. It’s so easy for me to see and clear stuck energy.
Once I do that the possibilities are endless!
