We are attempting to make our gatherings high in participation, mostly informal, and encourage many people from the group to share something. We're aiming for something like is described in 1 Corinthians 14:26. Here are my thoughts on what we're trying and how it's working for our Sunday church services.Â
What does the Bible itself say about how we should meet as a church? We don't have a whole lot to go on, but we do have some clues. ONe clue is in Acts 2:42, where we find a list of the things that the very early church was focused on.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.Acts 2:42
Is my church devoted to these four things?
When you think of "evangelism," you might think of a street preacher, or a passionate speaker on a stage. But I think it's much more than that, and actually almost everything we do is evangelism.

God is the one who changes hearts. God is the one who draws people to Himself. But he tasks us with the job of sowing seeds and having important conversations with people.
We need to be innovative in how we do this (while respecting those who are more traditional).
Let's faithfully and fearlessly improve on how we fulfill the greatest task ever given to man.
