SO much to love about Olive Oil in this episode. SO much to love and so much to learn! Gargling with sea salt, lemon and honey for when you’re starting to feel a little low. Arak, a liquorice derived alcoholic drink which (GET THIS!) is also used by Palestinians the same way we heard in the Serbia episode. Rubbed. On the skin! I love finding cross-cultural references to the same remedies. It’s such a great reminder that we’re all more connected than we realize!

We cover recipes to tame early cough/cold symptoms, homemade eyeliner, the “go-to” face-mask recipe for the face, gargling with turmeric and salt, hair oil blends for healthy hair and that doesn’t even cover a fraction of the wisdom these ladies possess just from generations of learning home-spun recipes.
